We contacted several AC companies about fixing our air conditioner last summer. We had a huge range in prices so we picked a few of the reasonable ones who did a free consultation and diagnosed why our air conditioner wasn't working. One company came with maybe a trainee and didn't even have the correct tools to open up the unit to check what might be wrong.
This company, however, came to the free consultation and had the right tools for the diagnosis and were able to fix it on the spot. They were the last consultation and definitely had a good price and the fact that they came prepared and even had the ability to correct the issue at that moment was very impressive. It was that first heat wave last year, so they must have been extremely busy but scheduling was very easy. I had better luck scheduling by calling them than I did scheduling through Yelp, but they were still fairly responsive to the Yelp request.

Our heater condensation unit linked out and Glendale Heating & Air sent out a very capable technician - Kyle - who diagnosed the issue, communicated the necessary fix, ordered the part, and came back again to install and test the new part/motor capacitor. He was great. The staff/phone scheduler was also very helpful. Highly recommend.

My Disable Grandfather called Glendale heating to fix a thermostat, when the tech came out said said it wasn't the thermostat. He called out a electrician who said no it was the thermostat. He called Glendale again and amazingly it was the thermostat so they replaced it. After the thermostat was replaced, Grandpa called he spoke with Jon, who had said a adjustment could be done.
However sometime later a woman called and told him he had been charged appropriately. This is highly unprofessional he should have never had to jump though all these hoops; this should have been done right the first time he called them. We don't know if they sent out someone new or a apprentice but this IS NOT OK

I would not recommend for any repairs. The person came to check the system and said the thermostat is bad. When I insisted that the thermostat is working fine, he looked at the other items. The repair cost he mentioned is $1500-$3000, for a part which is available online for $10. I asked which part needs to be changed specifically but couldn't get any specific answer. I guess there is no reasonable professionals left in the technician industry.

I have used Glendale Heating since I moved into my house that has oil heat 6 years ago. They were fine. A bit unpredictable with filling and a $500 price tag each time, but it was fine. I am switching to a more green alternative and getting a heat pump but needed them to measure the oil I have and give me a few months if needed. They refused and we're not helpful.
They could care less if my family has no heat. Minimum 100 gallons and they will not let me know what is left in the tank. Get a heat pump and don't deal with Glendale. It is sad but true.

Had a failing proprietary thermostat on a Lennox HVAC system in one of my rental properties. I called around and talked to a few different places. Glendale couldn't get me in until the end of the following week which was kind of a drag but they were the ones that knew what I was talking about with this specific thermostat. They called to confirm before the appt and I worked with the tech Yuri to install a more generic thermostat and bypass some of the Lennox bs. Actual charge was a bit less than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. Next time I have a problem I will call them first to see if we can work it out again.

Mark from Glendale is clearly well-trained and shows concern for his clients. After getting fibbed to and pressure-sold to by another company, I was glad to meet him! My house has a 21 year old furnace installed by Glendale. Like some other reviews, I found the phone attendant to be abrasive, she insinuated that I didn't know my own address since she couldn't find it in their records, even after I told her it was about 20 years old, and I had to laugh - I definitely know my home address!
But we got the work scheduled. I let Mark know what was up, and showed him the picture of the 'crack' the other person told me about. He confirmed that it was no such thing, but said he would take a thorough look anyway. He did, we agreed that maintenance would be fine for now, he cleaned everything up, put in a new filter, let me know the status of my fan was starting to tighten up and what that meant, and that was that!
I will have Glendale out next spring for a new unit and duct cleaning, but I'm so glad I have the winter to save up and research my new furnace without feeling panicked.

I cannot say enough great things about Glendale! We had trouble even finding someone to service and repair our oil furnace before selling our home, but Glendale did! Woody came out, crawled under the house, repaired our issue, serviced the furnace and even took before/after photos and a video (while also giving us a detailed receipt) showing us the repair he completed for us to send to our new home buyer. This was great! Ray was a great person to work with. He came on time and was super friendly. We are new home owners and had an AC there that looked as though it hadn't been turned on in a really long time. Ray ran me through everything, explained all of the gadgets he was using to test it, and gave me lots of great advice to keeping everything working well. I have used Glendale for years. We have an oil fueled Furnas and the maintain it in the summer every year. The technicians are knowledgeable, polite and are willing to accommodate your requests. They also service our air conditioning plant each year and this preventive maintenance saves a lot of issues when it is very hot or very cold. Their oil delivery service is seamless they always know when to fill our tank.
Last year we had a leak in the oil tank and they suggested a very good contractor who worked with PLIA (The state run tank insurance) they visited several times during the process and the operation was executed without any problem.

I used them to get a regular service for my unit, and also diagnose a weird noise that the ductless unit was making. The man that came to check out the unit was not prepared with a tall enough ladder to check the outside unit, despite the fact they said it was included in the maintenance. Inside the house, he just dusted the filter and that's it.
He told me that the problem with the noise was the blower wheel, I waited a bit to replace it, but called to get the part ordered. The same man came to do the replacement, and he told me this time that it wasn't the blower wheel that was causing the noise. He was rude and said he'd just leave then when I told him that's not what he had told me last time.
I called Sarah, the front desk person, and all I go was an "ok. sorry about that". Stay away from this company, but specially from the middle-aged asian man (tech). He's rude and will do a meh job.

A very smooth transaction that started with our 51-year old furnace dying last September. We scheduled a visit from the Sales Consultant, Debra, who made suggestions but saw that our needs and wants were very basic. About 3 weeks later, we had a brand new Lennox furnace installed by Brian and Zeke. They did a very careful job of removing the old dead furnace, soot and all, and replacing it with the new one. They were efficient, friendly, and professional. Getting the city permits processed was very easy, thanks to their help. Definitely recommend.

These guys rock! Had to wait about a month to get my heat pump installed because they are so hard to get right now. It was a nice upgrade at no additional charge to a bigger and better unit, because the model we ordered wasn't available at the time. They really did a great installation too and I highly recommend them.

I am giving their service department a one since I cannot give a zero they deserve. I called to set up an appointment and the young woman in service was really rude. They said they would be out between 8AM and noon. After noon came and went I called them to see if I was still getting service. They said the technician was delayed on another job, no apology or time frame given.
The technician lied and said he called me and it was a bad number. I had him call me while I was standing there with him, it worked fine. The person shows up and does the work needed to fix the heater. Then charges me for an hour even though here a half an hour. I guess I should have asked minimums but when called said there was none. He put COD and asked for my credit card, I said it should be put on my account I pay monthly for my oil.
By the way no issues with the oil delivery side of the company unlike service. Luckily I do not need service much but wanted to make sure my 2 new kittens had some heat in the house. Overall I would never have service done by them and be overcharged again. If I can find someone else to deliver the oil around the same rate and better customer service, I will go with them next time.

Summary: -Company charged more than quoted rates agreed to over the phone -Technician provided incorrect diagnosis with little supporting evidence or thorough troubleshooting -No follow-up to acknowledge fault, apologize, or rectify issue Pros: -Availability: Was able to schedule a technician within a few hours on a Saturday to troubleshoot furnace issue -Technician was on-time and courteous Cons: -Technician was not interested in hearing about symptoms of the furnace issue nor the troubleshooting and testing steps performed prior to his arrival -Technician hastily checked a few things, changed the batteries on the thermostat, and determined it was a faulty control board -Technician cautioned any DIY work, ignored questions for additional information, and failed to provide an explanation on diagnosis -Technician did not capture the necessary model numbers to order a replacement part, causing further delay -Final bill was much higher than quoted amount over the phone for overtime/weekend work Fast-forward, we decided to eliminate all variables by swapping out the thermostat with an older model, before the control board could be ordered. and the furnace issue was resolved! I prefer to support small, locally owned businesses, because they usually take the time to ensure things are done properly, but this experience left me sorely disappointed.

I have used Glendale Heating for some maintenance work and to install my new electric furnace and once several years ago to repair my old electric furnace which was a real lemon! They were able to come out right away for the repair work as it was in the middle of winter and very cold. They fit me in and fixed the furnace right away. For all the other work, they've been professional, timely and done a great job. I wouldn't use anyone else for my heating needs.

Glendale Heating is a family run business I admire and continue to do business with ever since we installed a highly-efficient clean burning Thermopride fuel oil furnace in 2007. Of all heat sources in mother nature, oil heat is the most pleasant warmth to feel on cold Seattle days--probably because oil has 140,000 BTUs per gallon while gas has 100,000 (plus oil burns 400 degrees hotter!) Oil heat nowadays is as pollution-free and clean burning as natural gas-and is far safer than gas.
Many old homes in Seattle that have insulation properly installed and newer oil furnaces have incredible energy savings and no pollution. Our own modest home uses so little oil each year to heat, on the order of 250 gallons. But whatever your own preferences are for your family's warmth, you owe it to yourself to involve Glendale's guidance and experience.

Very quick to respond to my inquires. Great first impression. The representative was very kind and patient with answering all of my questions. They have very competitively low prices. Just disappointed that I am not able to utilities their services because of where my home is located. Although they do service the Kenmore area, it would take a little bit longer for them to deliver oil to my home because they are located south in Burien.

Glendale Heating was doing yearly maintenance service, it was an old furnace installed by a different contractor, They never pushed for " you need a new furnace". In June 2018 we noticed some strange sounds when the furnace was starting. We did not need much heat as summer was starting, we waited before the busy fall- winter season started and made an appt for September.
One week before the scheduled appt the furnace quit( after 19 years). The Glendale team arrived as scheduled. They installed the new furnace. It is working well, more efficient, gas bill down. Going to their place it takes a 10 minute drive from my house, I purchased the air filters at their headquarters as they are cheaper than Home Depot. Luis, Seattle

My furnace quit working the way that it should. It just blew cool air around the house. So I gave Glendale heating a call. They were able to fit me in immediately. The repair service man showed up early, which was great. Suyong fixed the problem in a matter of 15 minutes. He was kind enough to explain a lot of the things that were going on with the furnace that was causing the malfunction. And he was fast in repairing the problem. The cost was very reasonable. I definitely recommend Glendale heating!
