Hi Everyone please pay close attention to this review. I called Ruiz Plumbing and explained that I arrived at my apartment and noticed that my hot water heater was leaking. I called Mr. Jose Ruiz and introduced myself. I told him that I arrived with my wife and four children in my water is shut off and there is no hot water so no one will be able to shower and that I needed the hot water heater replaced.

Due to the urgency of the matter, I had a Facetime call with him on my phone and wanted him to see the situation after he saw the connection here right away downplayed the quality of work that was done, and said that he's much more professional and he would do it a different way, etc. After listening to him and how he claimed is the best plumber in Miami I then asked him what would be the cost and he said he charges $500 to install the water heater which takes about an hour time.

I was fine with that I didn't mind him making money for his service but then I asked him how much the water heater would cost me. He said the water heater would cost me $1500 so in addition to his labor the total cost would be approximately $2000. This is the first time I had a problem with a water heater so I didn't know what it actually costs.

I googled the water heater and found one at Home Depot for approximately $400. He tried to charge me four times the actual value of the water heater. When I called them to question him in respect to why he wants to charge me four times more for a water heater first he tried telling me that it wasn't the same water heater. Thankfully I'm not an idiot and was able to match the serial numbers on each model.

It was the same model. When I told him that he said: "oh and my warranty is better than The Home Depot". I found that a little hard to believe and told him that was not nice to try and take advantage of a family in need of immediate service. Please be wary of the plumbing company! When I asked Mr. Jose Ruiz how can someone be so greedy - he replied if you want to get it done cheaper tell Home Depot to install it for you. Seriously? Shame on you Mr. Ruiz.

Ruiz Plumbing Industries is the definition of a TRUE business! Jose provides such excellent service. Truly a wonderful experience! Jose came on time. He got busy removing the old water heater. It took a long time to drain the water. The old tank was full of sediment. He got thr new water heater installed it looked good. He cleaned up good after he finished. We are very pleased. I highly recommend Ruiz plumbing they do great work at a great price and they are very professional and nice.

BEWARE! The man is a thief. Very expensive and dishonest. Helps himself to whatever he wants when you are not looking. Jose will lie after after. He made me cancel all my appointments because he said permit was coming and I needed to be home when it did. Finally I went to city and he never even filed all this time. Be very careful. Call another plumber.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Ruiz. Im not too sure how many people would say needing a plumber is a pleasure. However when you think you have a water main leak and you imagine it is going to cost hundreds of dollars you worry. Then you get referred to Mr Ruiz, he does a complete inspection inside and outside, educates you and tells you what to watch out for.

I was relieved when he said there was no leak. Mr Ruiz was punctual, professional, respectful and explained the issue in a manner which was easily understood. Thank You Mr Ruiz!

Had and emergency on Sunday, Called Ruiz Plumbing. Joe came out and fixed my Shower. Saved me major Dollars, if I had to rip open the wall to fix the wall to replace the Handle. The price was right the work was neat clean. Thank you Jose Ruiz

Jose did a great job!. He did a full inspection of our plumbing system. He explained everything very well. I will call him again in the future for sure. Very reliable.

I highly recommend using Ruiz Plumping for their services. Jose and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable about their services. Jose has completed multiple services for my home. He has corrected a gas line in my kitchen that another company did not do correctly. He has installed a tankless water heater without any problems. He also installed a new gas generator for my home successfully. After every job is completed he follows up with me to make sure im satisfied with his work. I really appreciate the courtesy and professionalism that Ruiz Plumping provides.

A week after I made a appointment with Jose. I was called on the morning of the appointment & informed there is a 79$ charge for a estimate. By a lady. None of this was mentioned during the initial calls. Be aware.
