HomeFix is my trusted go-to for home remodeling. They've managed my laundry room remodel and my master suite/bath remodel (so far!). They are honest and dependable and do top quality work. They take the time to validate design and approach, are open to meaningful discussion about your space, and truly care that it's done right. In a time of global supply chain disruption and worker shortages - it's amazing how hard Griff and the HomeFix team work to keep my project on time and budget.
When my fireplace rock was unexpectedly given away by the vendor - they brought me 4 similar (in stock) samples that same day to select and keep the project moving. My master shower required fairly complex tile design to look right - and Greg and Ian took the time to ensure I was comfortable with their approach, laying it out on the floor so I could see and approve (and be excited!).
When my chosen faucet was suddenly back ordered just as we started demo, Sabrina researched high and low to find me a very similar model that could get here in time for plumbing. This team is great and they really care. There is no one else that I trust with remaking my home.

I really like the work that Home Fix did. Travis met our adjuster after a hailstorm and make sure that we got that we got a fair look at our damage sustained. They rebuilt our greenhouse, replaced 2 windows & roof and painted. We were able to upgrade several things and they did it at a fair price. Travis was very responsive.anytime we needed something. Great company.

We chose Homefix for our bathroom remodel after an unhappy experience with a kitchen remodel by another company. Because of that experience, we put in a lot of time searching for a company that would be with us before, during, and after our project. Homefix has been that company. From the initial in-home consultation, every step along the way to completion of our gorgeous new bathroom, the lines of communication were always open which helped to make the weeks-long duration of our project stress free and downright pleasant. Kudos to Griff and the team at Homefix for a job done professionally and done well.
Everyone involved was courteous and patient with our many questions and concerns, which gave us such peace of mind. Homefix met or exceeded our expectations in every way. Their five-year warranty doesn't hurt either! We wholeheartedly endorse this company. Karen and Barry Ellis

I hired HOMEfix for a fairly significant remodel of part of a 1970s home (two bedrooms, a new bathroom, an expanded existing bathroom, and a new laundry room) and they exceeded my expectations in every regard. Griff did a fantastic job of understanding exactly what I was looking for and drawing up some plans. Sabrina was super helpful in picking materials and coordinating a great look for my house, even successfully navigating supply chain issues.
And I can't speak highly enough of Kevin and his team, who did the hard work. The team had my interests in mind at all times and did a fantastic job. I could not imagine a more professional and skilled team. The finished product looks even better than I hoped it would. Having a remodel done is always a disruption, but I'm really impressed with how everyone went out of their way to keep the rest of my house as clean as possible and minimize changes to my routine. I will definitely be giving HOMEfix a call in the future to refresh the rest of my house.

*Summary: call a handyman yourself unless you want Homefix to charge you a lot of $ in overhead* I spent nearly $500 on a job that took 20 minutes with a $20 part. I disputed that amount, and asked for details about the final price. I then got a call from my Homefix rep who called to tell me I was wrong, and gave me an NFL analogy about how you have to pay multiple people for one job.
The moral I took away from that story is to cut out the middle guy next time. Got it - lesson learned. UPDATE: the repaired part went right back to broke on the first use. It seems I paid a high price for not great work. I have followed up with the company by requesting an itemized bill and a solution for the failed repair - awaiting their response. FINAL UPDATE: Got the itemized bill.
Nearly $300 of overhead on a $480 job? I should have done more homework before hiring this company. The itemized bill was clearly rounded up to meet the full estimate amount from my original quote. By their logic, if they had actually done everything on the estimate I'd be paying much more than the estimate called for. This means that when they give you a quote it's a bare minimum of what you're going to pay, even if the work done is far less than estimated.
They are certainly willing to charge more than the estimate, though. Not a fair deal to the customer. Their window guy came out and fixed it again (for free - so that's good) but made comments about how I need to be gentle with it, as if it was my fault. This was a waste of time and a huge source of stress for us during the moving process. I would not recommend Homefix to anyone.

In an industry full of high demand and low supply, it's hard to find a contractor who actually cares. Was our job free of delays and issues? No. But Griff, Cody, and the team had the integrity to make it right. It's a tough time to do a remodel, but I wouldn't recommend using anyone else. The work was high quality and they were honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

The team at Homefix has been nothing short of what you would hope for in a remodeling company - professional, knowledgable, and responsive. They installed our A/C and replaced our furnace, painted our house, and are continuing with other various services which include replacing flooring, doors, and more. I would highly recommend Homefix to anyone requiring remodeling or handyman services. They have been proactively communicative and exceptionally professional throughout the entire process. We will certainly be using them for future projects.

I was excited because I thought this would be an easy one-stop shop where I could get several projects done at once with minimal oversight needed on my part. Here's a few issues that I had to deal with: large debris and garbage sitting in my driveway for over a week, large debris left in garage, horrible tile recommendation from a designer that needed to be changed, unbelievably unprofessional tile job (uneven tile, huge gaps at the wall and in the grout, scratched up brand new bathtub, etc.), constant delays, workers coming and going into my house on days they didn't ask about, etc. It was mentally exhausting. But. I was impressed with their responsiveness to my concerns. The painted cabinets, doors, and kitchen grout turned out great.

I appreciated all the effort that Travis and Andrew put into making my insurance claim roof repair happen promptly. Travis was very responsive. Any time I had a question, Travis was quick to respond. One of my circuit breakers tripped from the compressor the repair team was using during the roof repair. The majority of the family had already departed on vacation, and one of my adult children stayed for them to finish the repairs.
The tripped circuit was to a freezer and refrigerator in the garage. I contacted Travis who ran over to the house to see if he could reset it while we were gone; however, he could not. The day we returned, Travis and Andrew showed up at my place to clean out the spoiled food from the freezer and refrigerator. They cleared everything out, cleaned the freezer and refrigerator, and took the trash with them.
They replaced the food for me also. This was nothing more than an accident. However, they took responsibility for it and made it right. How many companies will take responsibility for something right upfront? I would say 1%, and Travis, Andrew, and HOMEfix are that 1%. The work was done promptly and professionally. Thank you, Travis and Andrew.

Travis and HOMEfix roofing were topnotch! Sections of my roof needed emergency replacement and they were absolute professionals, responding quickly and delivered everything they said they would do. Showed up on time and worked hard until replacements were done. Courteous. Highly recommend them and would hire them again for all roofing needs. Posted on behalf of my mother, Sherry

Horrible Project management skills. Expect to have people in and out of your home randomly, without any kind of schedule or heads up. Our project was expected to take 6-9 weeks and it took over 25. Jobs were done out of order, so work had to be done 3 or more times. Workmanship is also not up to par, we had to have a plumber to come out 3 times to level and center our faucet. Overall now we are happy; however we will NEVER use this company again, or even recommend them.

I've hired heaps of contractors throughout years of homeownership and real estate investment properties. I feel great saying that HomeFix is the only company you need to hire anymore for just about any handyman job or remodel work you need done. Let's break down why: - Scheduling an estimate is easy as heck. The website works great and there's a form you can fill out to list everything you need and request a contact.
I heard back the same or next day and spoke to a lovely woman in the office who confirmed the work I needed done and scheduled the estimate. 10/10 scheduling process. Let's move on. - Chris came out to take a look at what we wanted done before they could give me my estimate. He was Punctual, Professional, and Pleasant, and honestly what more can you ask for than good ole' PPP?
He even de-winterized my attic fan (okay it's just taking off a tarp but still) while he was up there looking around and checked it off the list. What a guy. He became my point of contact throughout the job and was great all the way through. 10/10 estimate experience, let's keep going - We put down our deposit, got on the schedule, and the work began.
It was two guys doing the majority of the work and they were awesome. PPP as well, very friendly, efficient, tried to keep us in the loop as to what was going on and did quality work. Smack dab in the middle of the job, the COVID lockdowns started and they weren't able to continue as scheduled. Chris was communicative throughout each development keeping me updated and even managed to get our exterior work done during the quarantine. Then, when they were able, they got in right away and finished the job. 11/10 everybody is great now lets talk about the work itself - We had a number of small handyman jobs done, which was all done perfectly so its hardly worth mentioning - where they really shined was the biggest jobs.
We had two creaky, failing, interior staircases completely replaced and you'd think they had twice as many guys working on it for how efficient and good of a job they did. Once the carpet pad was laid down those stairs don't make a damn sound even if you jumped up and down on them. Speaking of carpet, they tempered my expectations as far as getting a perfect match on our carpet for the stairs and our paint for some drywall work.
Totally reasonable, right? Well, they went ahead and got a perfect match anyways. What a guy(s). I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Everyone that they sent into my house was just awesome to work with. My point is, you can trust HomeFix for any job, big or small, in your home. Could you find someone to do the work cheaper? Maybe a little bit, but I'll gladly spend that little bit more to have work done right any day, and you should too. If you've read all this and aren't convinced, look at their guarantee policy and you'll see there's really no reason to wait - hire them! I plan to again very soon.

The people who work here know their stuff and that's putting it lightly. I threw them 5 different projects and each one was handled with excellence. They may not be the cheapest in town but the quality of work speaks for itself and I will gladly go through them again the next time a project comes up. Great job guys!

We used Homefix for kitchen flooring job. They demoed the existing floor and laid down tile throughout. Their estimates may be a little on the higher end but theit longer warranty is what sold us. Something we didn't know, but for some job duties they contract companies to do the work. For the tile we had put down, they contracted a different company, outside their company, to do the job.
Not that that is a problem, but when a truck with a different company name on it shows up at your house, don't be alarmed. They all did an amazing job, no damages, no hidden fees, very transparent about the job, and overall we're very happy with everything.

Prompt and good job but horribly over priced even though they tell you how much a project will be beforehand. But, took advantage of their heater service special and don't think the tech did anything but inspect it and tell me what work needed to be done - one of which was cleaning. Totally expected that would be part of the service?

An excellent basement remodel experience. The HOMEfix team took the time to help us pick the right fixtures and materials. And the results, we love. They hire tradesmen who are also the quality of professional you want around your family and kids. Their work quality is great and their follow-through to get everything just right was impressive. We recommend Griff and the HOMEfix team for your next remodel project.

I can't say enough good things about Homefix. They are honest, responsible, considerate, and thorough. I called and scheduled an appointment to have Steve come out and give me a quote on an upstairs bathroom in our 1889 Victorian. The bathroom was such a mess! I'm embarrassed to even think about it now. A janky corner sink barely big enough to wash your hands, a clawfoot tub that was painted brown at some point (why brown of all colors?!) and crumbling plaster. Steve didn't bat an eye though and said it wouldn't be a problem at all to finish stripping the walls down to the brick, putting drywall up, replacing the window and moving plumbing.
I felt comfortable with Steve from the beginning. Easy going and kind, he was easy to strike up a conversation with. He told me what the next steps would be if I decided to move forward on the quote. We've had other quotes on the same bathroom. Everything from 5,000-97,000. Homefix gave us a very fair quote on the bathroom. They weren't the very cheapest but they immediately made me feel more comfortable with their whole process and their ability.
I never felt pressured to choose a certain product or stray from my original design to fit a budget. When I was over budget, they helped me find alternatives or suggested a different configuration. From Chelsea to Steve to Grayson and everyone in between they are an amazing company. I can't imagine why anyone would honestly use anyone else for their home Improvement needs.
I can't even tell you how many times I picked up my phone to ask Ben (our project manager) what the schedule for the day or week was when I saw that he already had emailed me and addressed any questions I would have asked. For those other reviewers who mentioned that they were disappointed when homefix wasn't at their project every day, perhaps your expectations weren't realistic? Subcontractor work your project in when their next availability is.
And sometimes there's downtime and they aren't there every day. But homefix always finishes a project on time. You won't regret choosing homefix for whatever project you have looming. We almost were going to do the bathroom remodel ourselves and I know exactly where we would be right now. 1/16 of the way done and frustrated beyond belief. I'm forever grateful for homefix and their professionalism! They truly are outstanding at what they do.

I had to create a yelp account since I honestly never give reviews. But. I never got off the ground with Homefix. Multiple projects in a newly bought house. Had Steve come out and review all projects and gave a fair quote. Locked in my deposit and then was handed to Chris (foreman?) for scheduling. Told them up front I was going to take a day off and wanted to be home for their "full crew - all day" effort.
I even called them a couple of times before the day to ensure we were locked in. Even had to reschedule once due to weather and some of my items being outside work. Got reassurances several times that I was #1 one job that day, no jobs before me that day and all work would be done in a day (4 folks coming out they told me). Day of: no word from anyone until I pinged them. Told picking up supplies from Chris and he was on his way. Asked where the rest of crew was.nothing, no reply. Chris shows up just before 1100 and informs me he came for one job (carpentry work) but does not have right lumber/wood. Also, unable to get this project done in a day.
He also informed me the crew is on another job and maybe 1 more person could come later in afternoon. All were on "roll over jobs." I asked to speak to owner - I called and talked with Griff. Honestly, he apologized but I got nothing from him. He did not research the issue or why no one called me to let me know of the scheduling issues. He know anything about his crew or the original plan and what transpired. He did refund my deposit. No recognition of the wasted day I took.

We had a water leak in our second floor bath that damaged the drywall in the rooms below all the way to the basement. Steve came out pronto and determined exactly which walls were damaged and sent a very reasonable quote the next day. They were able to get Matt out quickly to fix the damaged places as I had visitors coming in. Matt arrived promptly and fixed, textured and painted all the same day. I couldn't be more impressed with everyone I dealt with. Excellent ratings and they lived up to their rep.

I called for an estimate to repair my deck, replace my floors, put in wainscoting, and rehang two interior doors. Initially Matt came by to assess the deck and floors. I waited several days before Grif called me back. But he still didn't have the estimate done. Instead he asked me to repeat all the information Matt collected. It turns out Matt had been fired and communication between Grif and Matt was poor.
So Grif had to come out and do another assessment. Finally I got a quote back. Deck repair of 11 joists for $3000. He quoted $800 to put in a simple gate at the top of the deck stairs. It was outrageous! So I confronted him. He said he thought I wanted a "custom" gate as opposed to the gate I actually described (just simple to match the deck railing).
So that was red flag #1. He renegotiated price to $330. Then he priced out my 1100 sq ft floor replacement to $17,000! Again outrageous! The 50 linear feet of simple board and batten wainscoting using MDF wood was $3300! Unbelievable. I really don't think Grif listens to your explanation of what you want. Please do your homework before signing with this guy.
Let me tell you what I actually paid for all this work with different contractors. 12 new joists for deck $3000 (Grif only found 11 faulty joists.) Custom deck gate $250 Wainscoting $700 All new floors $13,000 Nice guy to talk to but insane prices and poor communication.

Their employees are the equivalent of children with daddy's tools. Multiple projects had to be redone because the workers simply did not have the knowledge of the work they were attempting to do. The people you deal with initially (Griff, Brian) sell you on this amazing work and make all these promises, but the supervisor was rarely present, there were multiple days when NO ONE showed up.
They were unresponsive and when they did respond they were less than pleasant to deal with. They say they guarantee their work but every time they "fixed" something, first they tried to cast blame on us, but if they did fix it we were just left with another half-assed result. Ultimately we were just sick and tired of dealing with them. We will most likely end up spending thousands more (paid ~$20k) to fix the work they attempted. Also, they say they'll clean as they go, but they made a mess even on work they had just completed and we ended up having to do most of the cleaning ourselves. Pics show their awful trim, grout, and spackle work. Save yourself a lot of money and frustration and look elsewhere.

Just a horrible waste of time. I called HomeFix and Matt Lamb came to my house for a consult. He was very friendly and helpful. He said he would get back to me by the end of the week. A week and a half later I sent him a message. He told me he had been ill. I completely understood, it is flu season. He said he would contact me in about 4 days. Two w3ks later his voice mailbox was full and he wouldn't respond to my emails.
I called his office and I spoke with a very nice lady who "promised" me that she would contact him and call me by the end of the day. I never heard from them again. Don't waste your time with them. Call Wickmans Workbench. If you look at all of the one star reviews that Yelp excludes from their metrics, you will see several reviews like mine. Mine will probably be hidden with theirs anyway. Hopefully you don't waste your time with them like I did.

Renovations and repairs are chaotic. There are no two ways around that. So, that's why my husband and I decided to do several projects at the same time to minimize the disruption to our home and lives. Homefix was our natural choice to rely on to oversee these projects. We have worked with Homefix many times before and we knew we could count on them to use the time efficiently and to get the multiple projects done as quickly as possible and to our specifications.
When in the midst of doing the projects we decided to "add-on" some additional requests, they worked with us to quickly revise the price and estimate the timetable. Bryan Munson and Bryan Bunting were always quick to answer my questions and get me info. But all of that would have been forgotten if the subcontractors they used had not been excellent. Luckily for us, they were! Jesse Lynch (St. Joseph's Plumbing) was super impressive.
He removed all of our Polybutylene piping in the house and replaced it with PEX and ran a gas line to our kitchen all in two days. Bryan, the incredible third-generation drywaller Homefix uses, patched all the holes made in our walls so the PEX could be connected as required by code. He, with help from his nephew, completed and textured the new wall built to enclose our loft. Kevin and Steven from J2D Electric Inc. installed outlets, lights and smoke/CO detectors around our home, even though they had to climb around in our attic, blown with insulation. Kevin installed a new panel to our home so that we now have enough power to someday finish our basement without causing blown circuits, etc.
He was an expert problem solver and his expertise gave us complete confidence. I was nervous that our electricity would be out overnight, but Kevin stayed well past "normal duty hours" to get the panel up and waited until Colorado Springs Utilities had juice flowing to it again. Lastly, Chris from Limitless Painting, made our walls and ceilings look fresh and whole again.
He was not satisfied with just throwing on a coat of paint, but went back over it several times to make the patches blend away and have the lines run straight and clean. He was great about asking for daily feedback to ensure he was making our home look exactly as we envisioned it. Not only were these professionals knowledgeable, and hard-working, they were personable and friendly.
We truly felt we could trust them in our home. We really enjoyed getting to know them and they almost made us forget about the chaos, dust and insanity that goes along with renovations.almost;-)

We needed a lot of exterior work done due to the last 2 hailstorms, including a new roof, new exterior paint, a new front porch railing, and several new pieces of siding. Our insurance company wasn't going to pay for a lot of it, so we were looking to manage the job ourselves and try to get it done as economically as possible. During our research we came across Homefix and had them give us an estimate (along with several other companies).
It only took a minute to figure out that Griff Hanning (owner of Homefix) was extremely professional, competent, and honest. Griff gave us the most realistic estimates, being significantly more thorough than the other folks we had look at the house. Griff asked for the papers from the insurance company to see exactly what they would pay for. After doing his research he came back with an extremely detailed estimate and a promise - he would negotiate with the insurance company to try to get them to cover all of the hail damage, he would be done with everything in a month, and he would handle all of the aspects of the job - paint, roof, and woodwork.
We recognized immediately that Griff and Homefix was the best way to go, so we hired him. As promised, Griff managed all aspects of the job, got the job done in the promised time, and he and his extremely competent assistant Teresa did the hard work of negotiating with our insurance company, ultimately getting them to cover a significant portion of the costs.
The jobs were done professionally and competently, all on time, and all of his subcontractors were extremely professional and easy to work with. I can't say enough about how awesome Griff and Teresa were. When you've got those kinds of big jobs it can be stressful, but rest assured that Griff and Teresa will take good care of you - they ensured that we were not stressed out at all during the entire process.
His professional and caring demeanor were instrumental in making this a pleasant experience. I give Homefix my absolute highest recommendation, and will use them in the future for whatever jobs arise. I strongly advise you to let Griff come over and take a look at your home, let him work you through the process, I can guarantee that you'll be pleased and will hire him on the spot.

I wish I could give less than 1 I hired them and Chris showed up with limitless painting i guess they contract out. He was extremely unprofessional and he did a horrible job painting my house interior. I was very disappointed because the reviews are so good for the company. One day I came home for lunch and he was looking in my fridge um why are you in my fridge if you are supposed to be painting my house. Every day when he would leave there would be spit cups left in the room he was painting from his chewing tobacco. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We recently had Homefix create a complelty new bathroom in our (previously) unfinished basement. It came out absolutely beautiful - beyond expectations. Homefix folks provided excellent service, workmanship and custom craftmenship in this endeavor; but the best part was that they listened and worked with us to develop a transparent relationship.

We looked at several options when we finally decided to remodel our master bathroom. After receiving bids from 5 other firms, we sat and discussed the proposal with each bidder. We were comfortable with Homefix from the beginning. Their attention to detail, ability to design/build during the job, and the quality of their work was second to none.

Homefix did an amazing job for us this past spring. We purchased a spec home from a local builder and needed to make several upgrades/improvements. We met with Jerry who did a great job bidding exactly what we were looking for. We tore out and replaced walls with beautiful stair rails, replaced a backsplash in the kitchen and opened up two rooms into one large room for our daughter; all precisely met our contemporary vision. We would hire Homefix again to do just about any home improvement!

I have to say that I usually HATE dealing with contractors. I almost never have a good experince. That being said these guys were the best I've seen. We were high maintenance and a pain in the butt. We also figured out late in the game we needed decorating advice and brought in a designer. The Homefix guys worked with her easily and she even said they were wonderful.
Not only did they do a top notch job on building our bathroom, but with the left over parts/pieces they did extra drywalling and painting! Seriously, I can't think of a bad thing to say. Our little ones watched them work in the basement and they even played with our dog. Absolutely no stress and great work. I will call them again for the next project.

Highly recommend HomeFix and Griff Haney for your drywall and home remodeling needs. Background: January 2015, Needed to repair water damaged basement drywall and ceiling due to an ice maker leak (amazing the amount of damage these things can do). Griff and Homefix provided timely and free cost estimate. The cost was reasonable and in line with other contractors.
What impressed us was their attention to detail, craftsmanship and professionalism. They didn't stop until the job was done right. The restored and replaced the water logged dry wall, textured the surface to match the rest of the house and matched the paint perfectly. Bottom-line: You really can't tell that there was any damage in the first place and I guess that's the point.
Highly recommend HomeFix, locally owned and they truly care about customer satisfaction. A++ Contact information: 8140 Camfield Cir Colorado Springs, CO 80920 (719)749-1788 office@homefixcos.com HomefixCOS.com
