Designer Kitchens

We had an awesome experience with Krissy at Designer Kitchens. I told her the style I was aiming for and that it wasn't going to be traditional. She delivered exactly what I wanted and was very professional. She was always accessible and was transparent with any issues that came about. Everything arrived as stated and was better than anticipated once installed.

She really went out of her way to make sure that everything was in budget and to our satisfaction. I will definitely be referring friends to Designer Kitchens and will use their services again! I can not speak highly enough of Krissy! She's a mindreader!

Call them. Just do it. Krissy and the whole team are absolutely wonderful. She took the time to sit with me and work within my budget on my kitchen. She listened to my ideas and my wish list and worked with me to make it all happen. The contractors they work with are awesome - it was a great match and they were able to do additional projects I wanted done.

I was dreading this whole process- a lot of places were not helpful or friendly and I was beginning to get discouraged. Designer kitchens changed that. It was a fun and easy process- the hardest part was choosing my styles! Thank you to the whole team. I can't wait!

I met one of the owners in Bible study so my guard was down when I was quoted a $500 design fee. I was told by two contractors and friends who'd remodeled recently this was an outrageously high design fee, but I was trusting because of the way we met- this $500 was to include coming to my home, discussing what I wanted, measuring and drafting the design then giving me the design; if I chose to use their services that $500 would apply towards the order of cabinets.

I inquired several times if the design was ready but Ed was on a hunting trip. The day he returned from the hunting trip he did the design very fast and I was told to come down that it was prepared (end of day-5:00. When I arrived he showed me his design but in haste he had placed the refrigerator where it currently was versus where I wanted it (across the room) as we had very clearly discussed in our only meeting at the property.

He then went back to his computer to reconfigure that and move the refrigerator where it was supposed to be. I waited in his show room he then came to me in the waiting area and told me to write down my email address that he would email me the design and the fee was 10% of his quote so: $871. Not the $500 I was quoted-- in order to get the drawing he demanded an $871 check immediately and that it would apply to my order.

I should not have trusted him right at that moment but my dad had just died and this was his home I was remodeling and I met his wife through church. I later found out they do not attend my church and I've learned from many advisers since, that the normal fee is $150 or less for this service-- the company I ended up going with does not charge a design fee, it's part of their services and their custom kitchen order came in $2000 less and a two week turnaround versus the 6 to 12 week turnaround I was quoted.

I wrote to Ed perfectly willing to leave the $500 on the table as I had agreed to their design fee but requested a return of the over charge of $371. Ed wrote back to me that he refused to return the $371 and was still trying to talk me into his lowest end cabinets which again came in $2000 more than the custom cabinets we've already ordered and would have taken over a month longer to ship.

There are several layers to this but I would recommend anyone considering this company to be very wise and shop around there are lots of options and they all have the same computer program to design a kitchen very fast, as I sat in front of the company we chose, they did it in 15 minutes on their computer program charged me zero and I'm getting the cabinets in two weeks. Be wise.

We used Krissy for our kitchen design and she was wonderful. She helped us design our kitchen from scratch, which included knocking multiple walls down, installing floors, cabinets, countertops, new appliances, amongst other things. Krissy was always responsive, helped us troubleshoot things, and always had good ideas. Everyone who sees our kitchen asks who we worked with and we recommend Krissy every time.

Ed has been really great to work with. So far we have completed 3 bathrooms with him, and are looking forward to doing our kitchen soon. He is super knowledgeable about the products he has available and has been able to give us guidance regarding design options. Their showroom is a great place to get additional ideas and see samples.

Incredible service provided by Ed at Designer Kitchens. He took my ideas for my kitchen remodel, designed and ordered my custom cabinets. He provided excellent recommendations and customer service. Ed kept me informed as to the progress of the cabinets. He was very conscientious and always got back to me in a timely manner. He went above and beyond in ordering additional pieces of wood that were needed. I purchased quarter-sawn white oak for a "modern farmhouse" look. They are beautiful and very nice quality. I'd highly recommend Ed.

We have loved working with Ed and Jill at Designer Kitchens and highly recommend them! My husband is a builder in Teller County and always sends his clients to Ed. Their prices are comparable with Home Depot and Lowes, and you get excellent, personalized service.

My wife and I were looking for someone who could bring vision to our ideas and help create a very practical kitchen space while maintaining the rustic decorum of our log home. As DIY homeowners, we were also looking for someone who would be willing to coach us through our first ever kitchen remodel project. Ed and Jill not only came up with a great design (my wife comments all the time about how well the new kitchen layout flows), but they were extremely helpful in coaching us through the process of our complete remodel which included the relocation of walls, electrical, plumbing and the addition of an island. Ed found a cabinet maker who could build cabinets out of reclaimed barn wood that would match a picture we gave him of what we were hoping for in cabinetry.

The cabinets turned out exactly like the ones in the picture we gave him. He also encouraged us to put in a distressed hickory floor that would accent the cabinets. Wow! We couldn't be happier with the final product. Our friends and neighbors often comment on how much they love our new kitchen. We found the staff at Designer Kitchens to be attentive, friendly and very helpful.

We remodeled our kitchen from floor to ceiling in 2018 with Ed Medrin at Designer Kitchens. I have known Ed for over 25 years and he has redone two kitchens for me. He is very talented and honest and will work hard to deliver a great final product. Jill is also very detail oriented and always available with great communication. They are excellent with design ideas that really make a difference in the final product.

If you have any problems in the process Ed is very prompt to resolve them. Our new kitchen is beautiful and extremely functional. When we were finished my wife said I love it! love it! love it!

As a homeowner who has remodeled my own projects I finally found a company in Designer Kitchens who not only knew what they were doing but expert designers and professionals. It was a pleasure working with them on the step by step process which resulted in a kitchen that is second to none. We have constant comments on how beautiful it is and where did you get those cabinets. I would highly recommend Designer Kitchens to anyone who wants to work with a professional.

Terrble customer service. Was promised cabinets delivered to my home in 5 weeks, but took them 11. Designer Kitchens was supposed to install cabinets as well. However, when I asked them when their team of professionals would be out to install, they told me they hadn't found anyone to install them yet.mind you, this is 3 months after the order was finalized.

I have since been laboring for 3 weeks to find someone to install them. Designer Kitchens, meanwhile, has made no effort to find a contractor for installation. Believe me when I say, this company just wants your money, and will then throw you to the curb. Avoid at all costs.

It was a very positive experience from design, to construction to the final walk thru. Everyone was very easy to work with.

We had a good experience with all who was working on our kitchen re-model and was done in a decent amount of time.
