Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning is a family owned and operated HVAC company providing quality HVAC repair and installation services to the Metro Atlanta, GA area since 1968. Today we have offices in Cumming and Conyers, GA as well as Chattanooga, TN. Each branch has an experienced manager and a fully qualified staff.
When we started, we had only 2 men and two trucks. Today we are one of the largest HVAC contractors in the southeast and have installed over 275,000 mechanical systems, large and small. Our ongoing, in-house, "on the job" training programs keep our staff up to date on the newest products and materials.

Slow to come out when you are within your warranty period, regardless of the fact that your thermostat reads between 78 and 80 degrees at night! I've had 2 out of 4 units completely stop working during with first year. In the middle of the summer, it's very rough to wait 2 or 3 days for a tech to come out. I do NOT recommend this company. Rapid Response Heating and Cooling is a good company. They go above and beyond. I paid out of my own pocket to have them come out same day.

It saddens me to write this but I have given this company seven days to try to change my mind. I have NEVER written a review about a company but unfortunately, I have to let customers know about their business. This company is AWFUL. Their technicians are not experienced and will not fix your issues but instead will make it worse. I have also reported my issue to the Better Business Bureau and Reliance Heating and Air still have not responded.
Please stay away from this company. I am currently without heat in my home and have been for seven days. I have had over nine visits in one year and lots of work done. This company is not returning my phone calls nor emails. I have called the Nashville office multiple times and have been told that I would get a callback. I have even called Reliance Heating and Air at the Cummings GA location and have told them about my problem and was promised that the owner would contact me. This, unfortunately, was a lie.
I have also requested for corporate contact multiple times but Reliance Heating and Air has refused to give it to me. It is unfortunate that a company can treat people like this. I hope they change my mind about this and do the right thing. I am really at a loss for words with this company.

We have a new home and were experiencing problems with our heating system. We called into Reliance and Leslie took my call. She was friendly and got a service appt set up for us the next day. Our service tech was Dwayne Johnson. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He discovered that our gas heating system had a control board for operating a heat pump system.
Someone had installed the wrong circuit board on our new system! So, on that note, we’re not impressed with the workmanship done on our initial install, (and hope this company seeks to find out who pulled this stunt, as well as asking why a supervisor didn’t oversee or catch this issue) but so pleased that a qualified tech (Dwayne) could discover this problem so we will hopefully not have any more issues! We appreciated his knowledge and honesty with us.

I was very pleased with the service I received today from Reliance Heating and Air and particularly Andy. He called to let me know when he would be here and arrived a few minutes early. He put on shoe covers before entering my home and was a very pleasant and kind young man. We discussed the issue I was having and he told me what he was going to do to fix my issue.
He performed the task in a quick and efficient manner and checked to make sure things were working properly. It will take a few days for me to determine if my issue is fixed but I feel Andy knew what he was doing.

For it to be a Friday night at 7:PM Andy was very professional and quickly identified the leak and explained in detail what he was going to do to resolve the problem and that he will come back with a bigger drain pan for my AC unit. Andy checked the Gas in the outside Unit and made the proper adjustments there and he dried up the water puddle in my attic and cleaned up the mess left from wet installation. I was very pleased with his service.

My upstairs air conditioner went out. I thought I was going to need to spend a few thousand dollars to replace. Jeff from Reliance showed up, did a complete analysis of my system and determined that I only needed a part replaced. Total cost was pennies compared to my original estimate. Thank you Reliance, I will call you again.

Our air conditioning was having problems and Reliance came out. They were patient and tried to fix it 2 times by changing filters, recommending an electrician and then finally cleaning the coils and changing the filters. Of course, after all that, it was still not working well. They came out to replace it with a new system.

Once upon a time, I was a homebuilder. After several tries, I selected Reliance to do my new homes installations. Since then (14 years), I've had an annual service contract for Spring and Fall checkups and tune ups. They've replaced my crappy original system (not my install) with a new high efficiency system in 2005, and maintained it scrupulously ever since.

We were having problems cooling our home so we contacted Reliance. They came and discovered that the unit we had was too small for our home. Once our new unit was installed they called several weeks later to make sure that everything was going okay. They have fabulous customer service and are very prompt on getting you scheduled quickly and at a time that is convenient for you.
