Fred J.Moyer Plumbing Our family business started back around 1910 (the first dated material we found). Fred Moyer started his plumbing business here on the same block that we currently are located at on North 10th Street. Early photos show Fred with the horses he used to haul around his plumbing wagon to jobs in the city.

Fred was a dedicated plumber and thought nothing of working late into the evening to see that a job was completed. In 1954, Fred's son Fred joined the business doing laborer work for his dad and brother, John Worman. If you ask Dad today what he did when he first started out, he will tell you he dug a lot of ditches and accompanied his brother John on a lot of work.

The young man can out to give us an estimate. He was very nice. We never received our estimate even after messaging them a month after they came out asking where it was. Very disappointed.

Friendly, professional and prices in line with what you can expect from a plumber. They quickly scheduled an appointment, promptly showed up and did great work to clean my clogged sink drains. They were also very conscious of not leaving any mess, even put booties over shoes when they came in the house to avoid dragging dirt in. Price was exactly what they quoted me at before coming out. Very happy with Moyer Plumbing. Hopefully I won't need plumbing services any time soon, but if I do, I'm going straight to Moyer Plumbing.

I've had multiple positive experiences with Fred Moyer plumbing. Two years ago they replaced a sewage pipe at half the cost of a competitor. They just gave me a great price and work on replacement of a burst pipe and outdoor spigot. I've used three local companies in the past 15 years and will stick exclusively to Fred Moyer from here on.

I had a building hitter and completely renovated. Fred Moyer did all the plumbing and there was a lot. They were very reasonable. Could problem solve in a heartbeat and kept me in the loop all the time. They coordinated w the other contractors very smoothly. I highly recommend Fred J Moyer Plumbing. Especially if you have a fairly big project with lots of hidden challenges.

Requested a quote. Had to pay $55 for said quote. That was on January 17, 2019. I had a permit pulled. They had questions for the inspector. They made one call to him. I made three calls to him AND conversed via email multiple times. I did all the work to get the plumbers questions answered. When they thought they were going to have to open a wall to check/repair plumbing there, they threw out an "I don't want the job" verbal quote of $7,000.00 to $8,000.00!

No breakdown of expenses.just the numbers! Then, when informed they did NOT need to open any walls, I STILL didn't receive a "valid" quote for which I paid! Well, that was until I requested a refund and said I would contact the Better Business Bureau. Then I was given a quote of $3,727.00! That was April 18, 2019.3 full months after I paid for the quote!

By that time, I had hired another plumber, who did all work and passed inspection for $1,695.00! They refused to refund the $55 I paid for the non-existent quote! Sadly, I was unable to leave ZERO stars! Additional info after their response: Funny, they got to my house less than 48 hours after I called and collected the $55 quote fee, but were too busy to write the quote for which they took the money! AND I wasn't supposed to get an estimate until AFTER they started the work? Who hires someone NOT knowing how much they will pay?

We have worked with Moyer Plumbing for almost twenty years and they are truly exceptional. We Recommend them highly to anyone - especially owners of older historic homes. Our family restored the formerly boarded up and abandoned Historic Benner Mansion here in Allentown and now undertaking The Parsonage next door which over past decade has been foreclosed on twice and all plumbing and electric completed strip out of her historic Arts and Crafts interior.

We simply couldn't have saved or be saving these historic properties without Moyer's over 100 years of experience, patience, exceptional quality or attention to detail. We owe The Moyer family and Moyer Plumbing and are deeply grateful for their exceptional work at fair pricing - we regard them as partners in this important work of saving Allentown's remarkable Historic homes!

After useing many plumbing company's over the years, I just found my new go to company for all my plumbing needs. Needed new water heater. Thay gave a good price over the phone and stuck with it on the job. There were a few add ons that do happen, but even that was resonably priced. And yes, we do need more company's in the trades to bring in apprentices. Other than seeing the new water heater and more presure on the hot side, there is no sign anything went on today. Thank you Andy. JOB WELL DONE.

Really appreciated the work Andy did with our drain, was up front with his pricing and didn't charge me just to show up like two of the other companies I called wanted to do. I think I found my new plumber

I have been so happy with their services. Their prices are very reasonable, they go above and beyond in customer service and most importantly do great work. I have hired many plumbers over the years, Darren and his crew just come in and go straight to work. They don't moan and groan about, or take shortcuts.

Not recommended. Last May had a leak under my toilet. They fixed it but then the flapper started leaking (which was never a problem). Then came out and charged me for a new flapper. Toilet still ran occasionally (couple of times a day) but got continuously worse. Now runs about once an hour. Called today but was asked multiple times why I didn't call in May.

It wasn't bad in May but has gotten worse over time. And I wouldn't be calling now if they fixed it right the first and then second time. Finally I just told her I'd rather pay someone else to fix it rather than deal with her attitude and poor service. Expensive, not competent and definitely not customer oriented.

Ridiculously expensive.needed very small and relatively easy jobs done. Material costs were $100 retail (at most), labor costs were $250/hour and an apprentice did half the work. This is well out of range for any master plumber - let alone an apprentice.
