Critical: Responsiveness This company is a scam- they tried to tell me that my whole house generator was installed too close to my house so they wouldn't work on it. Come to find out, the county inspected it and approved everything. Another electrical company said it's installed fine. J&M just has incompetent techs and poor management.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value I will never use or recommend j&m. Was almost killed when TWO of their vans where racing up courthouse road this morning. They must not be too bright, because their name and number are right on the side of the van. I'm sure the quality of work reflects their driving.do better.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness found the owner to be extremely rude and unprofessional, running a very unorganized business, they seem to care only about their bottom line, very disappointed.

Critical: Professionalism This company tries to steal customers from established Generac dealers by telling homeowners that the company they use is not authorized to work on Generac. Even though that company has maintained Generac certification longer than J and M have been in business.

They were very professional. When time came to install my generator, they came with three trucks and went to work. Extremely happy with their performance.

Their "Salesman" James, came to our house to give us a quote on adding a whole house Generator to our house. We paid $14k and we got them to do the electrical on our Kitchen remodel. They did not install what they agreed to install and did not submit my extended warranty to Generac. We had to remove them from the project. We have remodelled several house over the years and this is the worst Electrical Contractor we've come across. They are very pushy and will intimate you. Use them at your own risk.

I heard about JM Electrical at the Home Show. I called later to get a price to install box for my portable generator hookup. As I was talking to James I discovered I could now get a whole house generator and as James told me what was available, I was sold. James assured me he would handle everything, AND HE DID! He held to his price even though the install was more involved than planned.

I was not up charged. The crew arrived when scheduled and promptly completed the job. The technician even repaired a loose box that is beside one he installed without me having to ask him! Above and beyond! Marcie (Owner) was great to deal with and was excellent communicating everything I needed to know. I have enjoyed my generator for two months and looking forward to many years! I would definitely recommend this company and will use them for any future electrical needs! Thanks JM Electrical! T. Hawley

J&M sent an electrical team to our condo the same day we called in order to assess and repair an electrical problem with the circuitry ON THE SPOT! I really appreciated they had what it takes to do same day service. A great local Richmond company!

I love these guys! They are so helpful. They solved my problems right away! Jason my technician was very prompt and super knowledgeable on the repairs needed! My price was fair and I will most definitely use them again!

The J & M technicians did an excellent job & we're very prompt & friendly. The severe storms we had last night 6/17/16 in RVA made for a lot of work. J & M electrical has risen to the challenge.
