Habitat Pest Control

First visit? Good. Second visit? They sprayed and killed all my roses, even though I specifically told them not to do this. Would NEVER use them again. Even more annoying, they will NOT stop texting me, wanting my business. Have asked them to stop, but they will not. Harassing dissatisfied customers will result in bad Yelp reviews.

I live in downtown San Jose and have a problem with mice & rats. It's nothing personal, I just don't like them. I contacted Minh and he came on site to diagnose the situation. Everything that he said was exactly, as far as rat behavior was 100% correct. The reason I know this was because in the middle of the night I heard scratching of the rats trying to get back in where he done a treatment and I can see them with my own eyes. I've been working with him for 3 years now to keep the population down and cannot recommend this business enough. They did a nice job for me really appreciative everything they have done for me. Great job guys!

It often takes weeks to receive a response after texting them. Their traps caught one rat, but I still hear activities inside the wall. However, they said they cannot find any rat entrance, and suggested me to use video cameras to prove what I said is true. Very frustrated!

Billing with them really is a pain. They forget to bill and then will charge double the next time. I am pretty sure this is going to happen again because we weren't billed for the last service. It's a lot of you tracking them down to confirm if they have charged you yet. Their pricing is low, but what they don't tell you is that there is a fee if you want to pay by credit card, so overall, it's not that much lower compared to other companies that make payments seamless.

We have them come quarterly and it seems like we keep needing them to come a little earlier each time cuz the ants get back in earlier and earlier. In the end, the treatment happens and the ants go away, but I can't help feeling like we should have went with another company to save us the communication headaches. Was good before, then hired some bad people and now they "may show up" Yanking off of our contracted properties and will no longer be dealing with these jokers. After 4 months of wrong dates, no shows, wrong location shows, so done! Save your time and money and use someone else.

Minh and Habitat Pest Control have been doing outside preventative work for us for several years. On the two rare occasions I had an inside problem they were quick to respond and fixed the problems right away. Recommend them highly.

Minh and Habitat are very professional and knows what they are doing. Had them service our property and job well done!

Worst bookkeeping, payment, and tracking ever. Very unprofessional. After over a year of dealing with a payment issue, we settled the dispute, and I thought that was that. I then get a call saying that I still owe.over a year later! Of course the only way they do payment is by check, cash or take a card over the phone. Please get with the 21st century. I will never work with them again.

Worst customer service and timing ever. Tried to called in for Danny for pest service. Double-confirmed that price would be $99 however next day things added up for more than $500? Technician arrived 2 hrs late after 2 time re-scheduling. Not even a single sorry from Danny the customer service guy. Everyone in this company is doing terrible jobs on every aspect. Dont request their service unless you want to waste your time and money for nothing.

Not sure if it's every worker, but the guy that came over to the house was very rude, very demanding, and just overall horrible. I called the place yesterday and the guy who responded (Danny) quoted me $99. But today when the worker came to my house, he doubled the price. He even demanded to be in my house alone for a whole hour. When I told him I didn't feel comfortable, he ignored me.

When I was trying to call the center (Danny) to ask about the price and to resolve it, the guy said the bigger the house, the more expensive it will be. When I ask for a quote, the guy just rudely left. Just rude and disappointing.

We had a really bad ant problem when we moved into our new house and tried to address it ourselves but they just kept coming back. We called Habitat and they came out and we haven't seen any ants, etc. at all since then. They are very responsive and good about communicating too.

I hate to write this bad review but I was so unhappy about our service. We had ants in the house due to the hot weather so we got this company to come out within a day which was the fastest we found. We showed the technician our problem areas and then we left the house so he could spray indoors and outdoors. I came back to a house full of dried drippings from the spray.

I was so confused as previous services from another company was never like this. It was all over the house and I called the owner explaining the situation and sent him these photos. He texts back saying his technician would come to clean it up. At this point, I'm so upset and I start cleaning the whole house myself. There was no way his technician would be able to clean everything and to my satisfaction.

The technician calls me to apologize and tells me he had a faulty nozzle. It took me over an hour to clean everything up and even though they claim this is toxic free, I am still worried that so much of this stuff was all over my floors, furniture, walls! Usually this stuff should be sprayed along the baseboards only, not all over every surface! The owner, Minh does call again to apologize and give me $50 off the service but that didn't help. Frankly it should have been a full refund.

These photos just show a 1/3 of the house. Imagine this ALL over your house in every room, kitchen, family room, living room. Ridiculous is the only word I have to say to describe my experience. By the way, I told the technician don't bother coming back to clean up.

I had a rat problem in my house and the home seemed to be a playground of rats and mice. There were several companies I contacted and invited to my house to evaluate the issue. Their diagnosis were quite similar. However, Minh was very detail and walked me through around the house and spotted possible entry points. He explained me about the plan and time.

His quote was competitive as well. One of potential issue with Habitat was making schedule and some time their crews were a bit late. However, this was not a big issue for me, since I've been WFH due to COVID-19 and at home all day long. It's been six months now, and I think I made the right decision. If you consider to hire a pest control, I highly recommend to contact Habitat for consultation.

The routine quarterly preventive service is very good. But when you have a pest emergency the response is excellent. They get the job done. Highly recommended

Been very happy with the services from this company. Minh and his team are very courteous, professional, and honest. They provide excellent pest control services and their prices are very reasonable. They are also very accommodating with scheduling and takes time out to answer all of your questions and to explain treatment services. Would definitely use them again. Thanks Minh!

I contacted several companies for an ant problem at my property, Habitat was one of the first to respond and also had the lowest quote so we went with them. Don't be fooled by the quote, after their visit, the estimate increased by 160%. I asked the technician why so much higher than the quote, he said they never charge the original quote and doesn't know why the owner quotes that low.

Classic bait and switch. Anyway I agreed and went ahead with the service since the price wasn't much higher than other quotes and he was already there. After the service, the ant problem got way worse, they said it's normal for a few days but should resolve in 10-14 days. It was still bad after 2 weeks so we ended up having a different company come to finish the job. Overall, I would not recommend.

They quote low and then raise the price, and the result was not great. I would go with a more straightforward company. I also had to chase them down for a simple receipt after I paid.

They were extremely professional and did a great job is giving an estimate and removing the pests. Called a bunch of companies, some quoted too high a rate, some were unprofessional. This company did an amazing job in not only how they treated me, but also resolving the pest issue.

I was impressed the first time I called, as they were able to schedule an initial service at our rental unit the very same day at a reasonable price. Since then, however, it has been painful to try to get a regular service contract from them (I asked for it several times) or to get them to come back out to re-treat since more bugs have appeared. They strung our tenants along all day and eventually rescheduled a re-treatment after our tenants had been waiting all day. I'm giving up and taking our ongoing business elsewhere.

First appointment they were extremely late. Had to call them to remind them I had an appointment. At the end of first appointment we agreed on a date for the second appointment. No call no show. I called and they said i didn't have one, said i had the form for conformation. They "fit" in on that Saturday the guy came in and ran through the house in 3 minutes and left didn't say anything or do a complete service! They tried to charge my credit card without authorization! This company is definitely not recommended!

New home owner with backyard, some kind of bug was biting us from the backyard, requested Habitat pesticide for a quote. Minh came home identified it was flea bites and explained the pesticide process in detail he did not oversell. We got the one year commitment. Did the flea treatment both inside and outside our house. The bites stopped in 4 days. Would definitely recommend this company.

They did a good job and didn't try to oversell me on monthly service. My only ding is that the tech showed up an hour past the original window provided, both for the estimate and the work.

I called 2 days in a row and spoke with someone who directed me to another persons voicemail. I left 2 voicemails and never got a response. I wanted an initial service and to sign up for a monthly service. Sad this didn't work out being that they have good reviews. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

DO NOT use Habitat Pest Control. They offer the worst service I have ever seen. We have had flea issues for the past 3 weeks. The first time our landlord set an appointment, Habitat gave us a time frame and were 2-3 hours late. And even when someone came, they treated only indoors and said someone else would treat the outdoors. We had to constantly call and follow up to make sure someone came and did it.

The fleas outside did NOT go away. So our landlord rescheduled another visit. We waited and no one came. Then we called them and they said someone had come and done the treatment but no one was home. My husband was home, and I had left the house with the baby expecting the treatment to take place. He said no one had come so we called them and they said there was a system error and they had the wrong address!

And then they said someone would come within 15 minutes, at which point I asked the management to give me the tech's number, who I called myself and he said there was no way he would be there in 15 minutes. So basically the person on the phone just made up the whole thing, and we had to keep calling them to make sure someone showed up. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen, and so far the fleas are still there, so the entire hassle and cost wasn't even worth it. I highly advise anyone with any pest issues to NOT use Habitat.

This is my 2nd time to use habitat. When it comes to bugs they know their stuff. I did my research the 1st time and I was looking for a enviroment friendly where you don't have to leave the property and is safe for pets as well. If you decide to use them I suggest to get the 1yr comitment. Where they come out and spray every 3month and if you have problems in between they will come out to fix the problem. Minh is awesome! So if you need something safe give them a call.

They are quick to respond to your call. They provide excellant services. They eliminated cochroaches from my rental on the first spraying. the came back a second time, only to eliminate any small ones or their eggs. I was super happy. I just called them again, for mice and already on only two spraying, I have not seen ANYMORE evidence of there presence. Good job guys!

I called Habitat Pest Control in Sept. I spoke to Minh, who very patiently answered my many questions about the horrid ant problem I'd been fighting all summer. He came out later that day (awesome, right?) and throughly sprayed both indoors (pet/people friendly) and out.
