I needed commercial size springs replaced on a residential RV garage door. No other place in the Portland metro area could source them for me over the course of 9 months. Not only did D Bar find them within 24 hours of my call, but they replaced them within 48 hours of my call and charged me exactly how much I had been quoted by other places in summer/fall of 2021 (and considering inflation over the subsequent 9 months, this was fair pricing).

The tech(s) took good care of my home (having to walk through my carpeted basement with an oversized ladder while not banging into my walls to access the garage since the door wouldn't open), was friendly and communicated everything well, and did a great and quick job at both service calls (measuring and repairing). Thank you SO much, D Bar! I definitely recommend this company.

Great service. We needed some help with our new door and a crew came back out and took care of us. First rate company!

Chose this company because of the good reviews but had quite an unsettling experience. Two men came out to fix the spring on my one car garage and quoted me $475. I'm a single mom and needed it done but realized quickly they were over-charging me. Immediately I told the men I found it for $350 and they said they would have to call their boss to get it that low.

One made a phone call, came back and said "the lowest we can do it $395". I responded saying I will go with another company. He then told me he would be charging me a $95 service charge for coming out (this is something they never told me about, nor did I agree to). He called his boss again and came back to tell me he could do $350 and asked if it would be "cash or check". (Their website says they take cards).

So many red flags. My friend then called the company's main number and they quoted her "$350 out the door". These men see a young single mom and try to take advantage by charging her $125 more. They complete the job and come to collect pay. Before I paid, I asked for a receipt and the guy tries to send me a text message receipt! I said "Absolutely not.

This looks incredibly sketchy and there is no reason you cannot give me a paper receipt". So he calls his boss again and comes back with a formal receipt. SUPER SKETCHY AND TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME.

Outstanding customer service with a new garage door install from a lovely family-owned local business. Dotan, Amanda and his crew were patient, responsive and incredibly helpful. Dotan helped me find a garage door that was best suited for my house and driveway conditions, was beautiful, and worked with my budget. Amanda made sure that the order details were 100% accurate. D Bar also stayed on top of the garage door manufacturer to actually get my garage door in hand after a couple of months of manufacturing delays. Lastly, the installation crew were hard-working and unfailingly professional, even during the stress of install (one note to the wise -- don't obsess about how the garage door looks until the installation is fully complete).

We needed to have our 62-year-old garage doors replaced. We were impressed with D Bar from our initial consult! The owner was congenial and knowledgeable. The job was done expertly by skilled, cheerful, respectful staff. We are more than pleased with the product, service and installation!

D Bar did a great job fixing our garage door quickly after I accidentally banged into it with the luggage rack on top of our minivan. The technician (Skylar) was fast, thorough, helpful, friendly, wore a mask, etc. And he was able to fix it the same afternoon that I screwed it up. So, all in all, super happy with D Bar. Definitely recommend them.

D Bar Construction was excellent! Fast, two-hour response, excellent service and a reasonable price. Sean and Skylar were super nice and helpful. They replaced the broken spring, checked and lubricated the garage door and gave helpful advice for maintenance. I would definitely recommend them.

It was very easy to contact them. They arrived on time and completed the replacement of my garage door opener very quickly. They took all the debris. The owner makes sure you are happy with the work his crew does. I recommend them highly.

These guys are good. Great service, fast, friendly, fair and no BS. Before them I called one other guy and he did not want to take on the job and put in the work. he said I needed a new door and to shop around it should cost me 2400-3000. They did a great job installing a garage door opener in my new house. They're friendly and helpful, and a nice local small business. After they did the opener install, they also gave me pointers on what to watch out for on the type of garage door the homebuilder installed so that I can prolong its life.

He offered advice on which door to buy that would look good with our house while listening to my ideas about it as well. When he came with his helper to our home he was kind, engaging and they worked so hard and quickly! Our door is beautiful and such an improvement to our home. They were very covid conscious, wearing their masks. They were prompt in installing the door, despite having a minor setback through no fault of theirs or mine. I enjoyed Dothan's insight into what would look good on our home and we were so happy to be rid of our 40+year old door!

Took almost a year to write this review, but better late than never. Dotan is stellar -- professional, does a great job at a fair price and is genuinely a nice guy. I had a broken string and i needed someone to come fast. I was afraid that calling someone in 7pm will make the price go up. luckily i found D-bar garage and the amazing Dotan. he came looked for 10 minutes and started to work. after 20 minutes he finished! the price was great the service was great an everything was great. We had a garage in an older home (1940's) that had been walled off and turned into a shop. We had two other Installers look at the feasibility of converting it back into a working garage. Both contractors said it would only be possible by dropping the ceiling and reframing the existing door. Their quotes where more expensive and didn't include that extra work.

I would have needed to find another contractor a pay them to do it. Then along cam Dotan with D Bar Garage. not only did he have a solution that allowed us to keep more height in the door he was able to do the framing work required and all for less then the others. Needless to say we went with D Bar. the work was quick efficient. His employees where polite and considerate. And they were all a joy to work with. I would recommend Dotan for any garage door work you would need.

Excellent experience all around with the D Bar Garage Door team. Dotan was incredibly patient walking us through the options, understood our budget concerns, and at no time did we feel like we were getting nickel-and-dimed. Scheduling with Amanda was a breeze. She kept in touch as delivery dates fluctuated (thanks, Covid!) and in the end pulled our install date in a week! Sean lead the install and, again, a great experience. He kept us updated as he completed the work and left things very clean and tidy.

I called DBar in order to replace my garage door remotes. Unfortunately my mechanism was very old, and the universal remotes that the tech gave me didn't work well at all. After I called to report that they didn't work, the owner came to my home, replaced my old unit, provided a new belt, lubed the whole thing and charged me a fraction of the cost. Actually, I only wanted a new unit, but he replaced everything which made it smooth like butter! I loved the honesty, integrity and downright kindness of this man! I highly recommend this company!

OK so I waited about two months before making the review. They came installed it very professional and about a month down the road I don't know how but one of the hinges came loose. This was the test! Because you know how it goes with some people. they come, do the work and then gone they are. I emailed them and the next day one of the guys came and fixed it!

5 stars. You can call around to the different garage door companies and get quotes, we did. Dotan and his team were the most responsive and friendliest company and gave us the best price. I was able to ask them a lot of questions about steel v. aluminum doors and they were able to help offer some recommendations. On the day of the installation, they did a great job installing the garage door and removing the existing one, without leaving any mess behind.

The company isn't super huge, so the people you talk to on the phone are the people that you meet with that perform the work. There's a certain level of quality-control and accountability you get with that business model, that you don't get by going with a larger company. If you spend your free time reading reviews about garage door companies, you know it's time to replace your garage door.

I recently moved into a house flip that had an old, dented garage door that wouldn't seal. I found several different garage door / repair companies on Yelp. I had 4 different companies come by for estimates. Of the four, D Bar Garage provided the most professional estimates and answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly and provided a very clear estimate of both parts and labor costs.

Although D Bar Garage Doors was not the lowest estimate, I felt most comfortable working with them. The day of the installation, two technicians, Shaun and Jay arrived on time and got to work disassembling the old garage door. Both men worked almost 9 hours to remove all of the old equipment and install the new garage door. Towards the end of the day, Dotan (the owner) came by to go over the final invoice and inspect the installation. I'm ecstatic with the appearance and the function of the new garage door.

Everyone at D Bar were very detail oriented. Shaun and Jay even waited until Dotan showed up to install the weather stripping because they didn't have any black nails with them and they didn't want white nails to ruin the esthetic of the door. Shaun, Jay, and Dotan hauled away all of the old door and the packing materials and left my garage as clean as it was when they had started.

Even though it was getting late in the day, I asked Dotan if he could re-key one of my doors to match the keys for the other doors (I noticed the logo on Dotan's vehicle stated he was also a locksmith). Dotan didn't hesitate at all and re-keyed both garage door locks.

The torsion spring on my condo's door decided to break. I scanned Yelp and found D Bar Garage Doors with very positive reviews. Speaking with Dotan on the phone, he made it very clear that he didn't want me to spend unnecessarily. He made it clear that they would make sure that we made the garage door right without going wild. The team arrived on time on a VERY hot day.

They examined the issue, explained what would need to happen and got to work immediately. It took them about an hour to remove the broken spring mechanism and fabricate a new, much more beefy spring setup. They also tightened the chain, lubricated all moving parts, adjusted the drive unit down to lower the opening and closing pressure. Dotan briefed me on proper programming of the controllers as well.

I felt that the service was superb, no pressure, very upright, and to the point. On one hand, I hope to not have to use anyone to service the garage door BUT.if I do. I'm calling D Bar Garage Doors without hesitation. Thanks for a great job guys!

My old wood door finally gave up one morning and the whole bottom just dropped out. After meeting with several local companies I choose D Bar because Dotan was informative about doors, professional, fast service and not in a hurry to just get the order.
