Fast response; VERY reasonable rates; extremely polite, friendly and professional repairman. My garage door works so quietly and smoothly now. I haven't felt this satisfied as a customer of anything in a LONG time!

I had Dave's Garage Doors come out for routine maintenance, just to make sure everything looked good and I wasn't going to get stuck or have anything break unexpectedly when I was trying to get to work one of these mornings. I got an appointment within two days. The woman on the phone was kind, patient, and very helpful. My appointment was with Mike and I can't say enough good things.

He was on time, told me when he was on his way, was professional, had a sense of humor, and he was so speedy with everything. When he was finished he explained what he did and didn't try to sell me on any extras or unnecessary work. I absolutely recommend!

Jim and the whole team were so amazing and responsive! Highly recommend to anyone needing help with their garage doors.

Technician Mike Snyder from Dave's came yesterday to fix our garage door and adjust the opener. He was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable about it all and was able to fix the door quickly. I've used Dave's Garage door 3 times. Once for my business and twice for my home. The first two visits were due to broken springs. The technician had the parts on the van and had everything up and running in no time. The last issue was at our home. An old garage door opener that acted up randomly. It would open the door whenever it felt like. The technician, Scott, was amazing.

He diagnosed the problem and installed a new unit. His work was clean and with thought in mind. After the installation he provided me with clear instruction on how the new unit operated and even helped me program my truck to the new opener. I highly recommend this company and especially Scott for his thorough work ethic.

Fantastic company! Our garage door cable came off the tracks and wouldn't close. With a simple request and speaking with Crystina, she recognized our need and sent Technician Jim out to take a look. They fit us in on an already full schedule. Jim could have just helped close the door and we would have been thrilled, instead he spent the extra time and got it fixed. I was given a garage door opener for my birthday as a gift, I called Dave's for installation. They just left and I must say, they give great service! They called 30 minutes ahead of time to verify appointment, showed on time, did a VERY professional job. I would recommend them for any of your garage door needs. Mike is a real asset to your company.

I would highly recommend Dave's Garage Doors. We had a bad experience with another company that charged too much and left us with a broken garage. Drew came out and fixed everything in a timely manner and educated us on what happened to our garage. We will definitely use them again in the future if we ever need to!

These guys are always so amazing. Have had them come to our house to work on our garage several times over the last 17 years since we've been in this home. Every time I'm so impressed with their service, professionalism and how quickly they are able to come out and get our garage door working again! Garage door broke this morning (a spring) and they scheduled a repair for two days out, which I felt was reasonable.

But also put me on a wait list for service today or tomorrow if one of their techs finished early. Well, one did finish his jobs early and they called and said they could send a tech over today and get us up and running again. They showed up 20 minutes later, we had thenlm replace both springs for $399, and we're back up and running, able to use our garage again the same day! That's awesome service! And why we keep coming back!

Dave's has been our go to since we moved into our house. The staff is consistent, as in they don't have a lot of turnover, which to me speaks of the kind of company they are. We have used them consistently for service and they've always been reliable and trustworthy. So when we needed a replacement, we got quotes from a lot of places but they were all fairly competitive so it was a no brainer to use Dave's.

I completely trust them for all our garage needs and highly recommend them. Trust and integrity are big values in a company and they continue to exemplify it when we use them.

Technician Mike quickly replaced a broken spring and roller bearings. He answered all our concerns and has a great attitude. He followed all CDC safety guidelines and he also checked our other garage doors safe operation. The repair price was very fair. This is our 3rd time calling them for different unrelated repairs and every time they have had convenient appointments and quick service. They came out right away, same day on New Year's Eve. Mike looked at the broken spring and told me exactly how much it would cost. He took care of it, was attentive to safety and property, then helped me program one of my remotes. He was also respectful about wearing a mask and keeping distance. Fast, professional, and a very good value.

Another firm started this job, and wouldn't finish it, requiring me to replace the garage door opener. I asked Dave's to take a look. They fixed it very promptly in one visit, for much less cost than I had authorized. The communication was sensational, the work outstanding, and they made it all extremely convenient, when my availability is quite limited. I would never consider hiring a different firm. The tech showed up wearing a mask, mentioned having been vaccinated, and did the work. In addition, they acknowledged that we needed to get the vehicle out of the garage and happened to be able to come out almost right away. We can't ask for more.

My home warranty company initially sent out another company. They actually caused more damage and it was resent to Dave'. They responded promptly And professionally. they weren't able to replace The opener that day due to insurance, but we're back out the following week with all new parts and upgraded to an outdoor keypad which I didn't have. Tech did a great job, communicated well, was respectful, wore a mask, explained everything thoroughly, and left Everything clean and tidy. office Staff was friendly and helpful when scheduling. I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Dave's Garage Doors. My door had become extremely noisy. I mean really noisy.so I figured it was time for a new garage door opener. I called Daves. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, and was able to schedule a tech the next day. The tech called before he arrived, and was very professional and friendly.

He took the time to explain what would need to be done. He showed me all of the work he did and explained what I could expect in terms of needed service in the next few years. To my surprise, he was able to get this door to work really well and really quietly! I did not have to buy a new opener and the cost of the work was a deal! I will definitely call Dave's in the future.

The good word of mouth about Dave's is apparently true. Am very satisfied with the gear repair I had today - the tech went above and beyond to make sure my entire door was functioning properly, making tweaks to the original install and really making me a happy customer. Very fair price - I love it when a service call goes like this.

I had horrible experiences with two other garage door companies. One of them only wanted to sell me new everything and charged me $50 for the premise visit. The other company (which had installed new springs 18 months prior) basically did nothing except try to rewind the springs, tell me the door was too heavy for the load and couldn't be adjusted any more, and then charge me $130 visit charge.

After he was gone, the door was soon unlevel again and shortly thereafter the cable came off the drum and the door was stuck halfway. When I called this company back to tell them what had happened, they told me to call someone closer because they were in Hillsboro. They did not appear to want to work on the door any more, nor did they offer a refund. So, I called Dave's Garage Doors, whose tech came out the next day and found multiple issues that neither of the others had bothered to notice: One side rail was loose and barely secure to the wall, the springs were not correctly tightened, bolts were loose, and the door opener was pulling the door too far up; the door wasn't balanced, so instead of correctly adjusting the spring tension, someone had simply turned up the force adjustment on the opener.

The tech from Dave's Garage Doors caught all of this, and fixed it. This was a life saver for me and I'm grateful that there remain companies who care about service and who take the time to do a job correctly. Kudos to Dave's Garage Doors and its employees. The tech (T) was great and their office people are as well.

I've had them out for repairs on my house as well as for sellers (I'm a realtor); they were always friendly, communicative, affordable and prompt. I recently had them replace my garage door and was very happy. The garage door took about six weeks to arrive from the manufacturer, but Dave's kept their install schedule. Day of the appt they called to let me know they were coming, and finished install 30 minutes prior to when they said they'd be done. Highly recommend!

We bought an older home a couple of years ago, and our concrete floor has settled to the point that there was about an inch gap. I called this morning to see if someone could come out and take a look at the door to see if there was anything we could do from that perspective. They had someone out to my house same day, re-leveled, balanced, and lubed the door.

Very reasonable price just for that service alone. While they were not able able to completely close the gap; it is MUCH smaller than it was and the tech gave me a lot of suggestions to help fully close the gap that wouldn't involve needing a whole new concrete pad being poured.

Dave's was great to work with! I had 2 garage doors that were very noisy and I also needed a keypad installed and remote programming. Jason came out pretty quickly and was able to work a miracle on my doors and solve all my problems! I highly recommend them!

I'm guessing these guys are overwhelmed in this pandemic era, but after not 1 or 2 but 3 dropped balls on their part, we had to go elsewhere to replace our garage doors. Their service on the initial broken door was fine.

The initial estimate went well. The installation went well. The weeks in between, not so much. I was repeatedly scheduled and then rescheduled for 6 weeks. One appt was made and an hour later I was informed the doors were not even in Portland. A tool to cut the windows was broken for several weeks and the person who could fix it was gone. It was not a well run shop. Covid was given as a reason but it was a lot of disorganization.

I was told there was no manager for the garage staff and no one who oversaw the whole operation. The office staff were very nice in scheduling and rescheduling my appointments. But my doors look nice, they work well. They were going to add black accents but forgot. I found I can get them on Amazon for 1/3 of the price so I was fine with that.

I had used Dave's in the past and they were GREAT!. So, when I had an issue yesterday with my door and needed a replacement ASAP, I called Dave's. The lady that answered the phone was wonderful. She located my paperwork from a past work order and used that to check and see if they had a replacement door. She came back on the phone and informed. me that they had a door and she was getting two techs. and the new door out to my home ASAP.

The two techs (Mike and Isaac) where there within an hour of my call. They both were very polite, professional and knowledgeable. They got started right away and informed me what they were doing and also shared tips and ideas on how to maintain my new door. I just can't say enough GREAT things about these two techs or the company. Dave's responded to my request was super!

The spring broke late Friday night. Called early Saturday morning and they were able to squeeze me in. Mike suggested going with two springs instead of the one that broke and gave me reasons for and against doing this. Totally no pressure for the upgrade. He explained everything and provided excellent service. At least the second time I've used Dave's and I'm very happy with them. Totally recommend them.

My recent experience with Dave's was regrettable. Their initial contact person inspired confidence but after that nothing happened when or how it was supposed to and in the end I was charged more than was quoted. After a lot of follow up on my part they offered a small refund. I recommend shopping around before using Dave's.

Not all bad, but my frustration level continues to grow. I'll update this if the situation changes. I hired them to replace the weather stripping at the bottom of my garage door. Reid arrived a couple of days later and put new rubber on, but the sides were still open so debris can blow underneath. He assured me that he would cut some wooden wedges at the shop and be back in a couple of days, and assured me the cost would be as originally promised.

A few days later I got a proposal by email for $540. When I called to object Nate assured me he would get with Reid and get it all worked out. No call, no follow up, and finally I called Nate a week later. He blew me off with more assurances that have yet to materialize. So far they have fallen woefully short of their own promises. I hired a different company to replace my garage door opener.

I've used Dave's Garage Doors twice for different rental properties. They provide prompt service and reasonable pricing. They didn't try to up sell me or recommend and unnecessary products/services. These are guys you can really trust!

I hired them to replace a garage door opener. They did a solid job with the installation but did not communicate clearly about pricing. It felt like a bait-and-switch but I think this was an honest mistake. Unfortunately, the company has not been willing to acknowledge the error or take any steps to fix the situation. I initially spoke with Stephanie, the owner's daughter, and was quoted $419 for a basic model or $569 for an upgraded unit.

I mentioned a $75 online coupon and Stephanie said she would make a note of it in the order. The technician quoted me $419 for the basic model or suggested I go with the upgraded model which he said costs "$100 more." I decided to follow his advice and go for the "$519? upgraded model (still expecting a $75 coupon at the end to reduce the price to $444 total).

I asked about an external keypad and the technician said it included 2 remotes and an external keypad. After installation, I was presented with a bill for $624. Instead of honoring the $75 discount, the technician said it was not valid for this sale. I checked the fine print of the coupon and he was correct but I wish Stephanie had explained the coupon would not be honored when I placed the initial phone order. Instead, the technician applied a $35 coupon, bringing my total to $589 (far from the $444 I was expecting).

The technician did not mention that the keypad was actually NOT included in the price. It was an extra $55. And the unit was not "$100 more" as he stated. It was $150 more. I complained to him but he was not willing to adjust the price. I called Stephanie to complain about the price discrepancy. She said she would have the owner call me back the next day. 2 days later I still haven't received a call. I'm happy with the garage but not with the pricing communication. Lesson learned: get any quote in writing BEFORE letting them begin installation.

I've always use Dave's through the years. I decided to have a new garage door opener (which I purchased when Sears went out of business) installed at my rental. Gave them a call around 10 am and they had an opening at 4pm. GREAT! They called me an hour later and wanted to move it up to noon. 2 X GREAT! My rental is very close to my house so I added a service call at my house. 3 X GREAT! The install/service was fast, professional and a very good price. Thanks to everyone at Dave's.

Sincere thanks to Dave's. They exceeded my expectations and did the absolutely right thing. Tech Supervisor was engaging, knowledgeable and honest. Was able to get a tech out in a matter of two hours after our spring broke! Kudos to them.

Amazing service! I sent a quote request via Yelp at 7pm on a Friday, and they were able to send a tech out by 12pm the very next day on a Saturday! The springs snapped and required a replacement. Everyone has been very nice and professional from the start to finish. Pricing is very reasonable, and they check everything to make sure it's working properly.

There is also a warranty on their parts and service. Really appreciate the professional and speedy service. Payment can be made in credit and debit cards onsite. Easy, and stress free. Highly recommend.

Drew was an excellent tech with excellent customer service from start to finish. Last week, my garage door started opening all by itself when no one was home. They call this a "phantom opening." I called Dave's, and a really nice guy named Mike came out and replaced the motherboard in the opener. Two days later, we got another phantom opening. I called Dave's and told them about it and Mike came back the next day. Since the old. garage door opener was flaky, I decided it would be best to get a brand-new one. Dave's made me a terrific deal.

They took back the new motherboard and credited me with the entire $250 price of it towards the new garage door opener. We've been doing business with Dave's for years, and they have always been great. Highly recommended.

I called Dave's Garage Doors yesterday to schedule an appointment for someone to come and look at my grumbling garage door opener. Jim was here within an hour and fixed the problem. Very impressed with the great and super fast service. I highly recommend this company.

They saved me hundreds of dollars! The rail from our garage door opener had broken off from the wall (not just unbolted, but the metal was snapped off). I had another guy from a different company come look at it and he said it was not repairable, and that I would need to get a new opener. My choices were to purchase one from him (more costly, but came with additional warranty) or buy from Home Depot or somewhere similar and then just pay for install.

His install prices were a bit high ($80 more than Home Depot, but Home Depot had a 4-6 week wait). I went ahead and bought a unit from Home Depot and decided to call around a bit more to get a better installation price. I called Dave's and the install price was $30 more than Home Depot (and $50 less than the competition), but could be done the next day.

I made an appointment. The following day someone from Dave's came and discovered I have a beam in the way, and the unit I purchased could not be used in that spot. He told me they sell one that could be trimmed to fit, but now my total would be $225 more than paying for the one I purchased to be installed. Ugh. He left me the quote and went on his way for me to make decisions.

I called back and gave them the go ahead, as it seemed I was out of options. A second Dave's employee came back ready to install the new, non-Home Depot unit. I told him the story. He looked at the broken rail and said, "I can fix that. No problem." Woo hoo! He just saved me $489! My hero! He easily could have sold me the new unit and not bothered to help me out.

I SO appreciate this kind of customer service and will 100% call back when I need help again. My unit is older, so I know it will go out eventually, and I know exactly who I will be buying it from. Thank you! You earned yourself a very happy repeat customer!

If your garage door springs break the weekend before Christmas, trapping your vehicle inside, Dave's Garage is the company to call.
