After my recent experience with Tom Drexler Plumbing, I am an enthusiastic customer who will call them again! Recently, I've had a new shower installed, leaks repaired, and a garbage disposal replaced. You get what you pay for and I am so glad I went with this company! And how often do you hear employees talk about how they love working for a company? Shawn and his crew and Michael took great pride in their work and did not leave until I was completely satisfied! I highly recommend this ethical, hard-working company!

Nick and Chancellor were very professional, polite, friendly and patiently answered all our questions. They were called after a drain was unclogged by a technician yesterday and we found a small leak. Drexler responded swiftly by sending Nick and Chancellor. It seemed like some small plastic washer was cracked and since there had been no leak prior to the unclogging, new parts were replaced at no additional cost.
The plumbers wore booties over their shoes and completely cleaned up any debris from their work. Both young men had excellent attitudes and really made sure we were completely satisfied and had no further concerns or questions. Good employees who respect the profession and are focused on excellent costumer service are assets to any business. We couldn't be happier with Nick and Chancellor's work and how they solved our issue. A pleasant interaction with competent members of your team.

Called and requested service for a kitchen drain clog. Technician was on time, prepared, and courteous. Though he was unable to remove clog at that time, he provided some additional instruction that he thought may help [it did]. No charge for the service call because it was not resolved and I was impressed enough with their attention to detail and customer service that I requested their full preventative maintenance program. Side note: Asked the tech if he liked the company and he said they were awesome.tells me a lot. Good job, Tom Drexler!

I updated the review because I had a problem with some work done previously they came out to fix it but I said don't do it unless this is the final fix but it was not so they credited me the 700 and I will use that on a different property and have the bathroom remodeled and gutted but they were professional and I am now considering I'm getting the gold package and using them on all repairs. They did the right thing

I am writing this, knowing that Tom Drexler does not care.knowing that they are the big fish in the community and knowing that this will change nothing. However.here we go. We have now used Tom Drexler for several years for both HVAC and plumbing. Our experience has been the same each time. We are never given an expected time of arrival, only told we are "on the schedule" and some will call when they are on the way. Meaning, hold your entire day and we will let you know when we are coming.unless there is an emergency, or someone runs late, then we will call you and let you know we are not coming.
I am amazed that a company this size does not have the capacity and ability to make appointments and keep them. Our last appointment was canceled due to emergency calls, and then I was told it would be a week before they could get me back on the schedule. A WEEK! I had no kitchen sink, but my emergency was not a priority. This is a pattern for them.had I not thrown a fit I would not have been able to use my kitchen sink for a week.
Today I have another appointment. We called yesterday to ask for a window of time.was told they could not do that until day of. At 10:30 they call to tell me we are a late day appointment. Had I known this I could have actually planned my day.instead I will sit and wait. Other companies make appointments, other companies honor appointments, other companies respect and value their customers, sadly Tom Drexler is not one of them.
While we must use them for our HVAC needs for the sake of our warranty we will never recommend them, or use them should we move. Be warned, if you use them you are at their discretion and mercy!

We had a tree fall during a storm. It took out all of our power boxes off the house. Destroyed our central air unit. We called Tom Drexler the next morning. They arrived shortly with estimates and scheduled to do work the next day. They restored our electric put in new A/C and new furnace in one day. All the workers were very professional and knowledgeable. We appreciate how responsive they were. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again in the future.

Mike Ca was very courteous, extremely helpful, knew his job/trade very well. I had full explanations on anything I needed to know about the work and product we had to have fitted, he didn't waste time, very clean, and made sure I was satisfied with my Water Heater working properly. The whole process from diagnosis to taking out the old unit and installing the new, and talking with my warranty insurance with me to sort out the replacement went so smoothly because of him. Very happy

I hired Drexel's to unstop a plugged drain with their $99 special. The entire first floor of my home had been flooded with backed up sewage. They came and retrieved a wad of paper from the drain pipe and left. I spent $3500 on new carpet, drywall, etc. The following week the drain backed up again, flooding everything again. The reinspected the drain pipe and found that the cause of the back-up, that had caught the wad of paper previously removed, was a break in the drain pipe caused by a tree root.
This time they charged me several thousand dollars to fix the drain. Again I had to spend more than $3000 to repair the flood damage. The problem should have been found during their first inspection.

HVAC technician came to my house and told me I had a cracked heat exchanger and tried to sell me $6,900 worth of replacement parts. So, I got a second opinion. The other company showed me with a camera and a static pressure demonstration that there was no problem with my heat exchanger. They said the furnace has been incredibly well maintained and that the part still has 10 years of warranty left on it. The only problem was that I was using too restrictive of an air filter. It was a $4 fix. Tom Drexler cares more about meeting sales goals than taking care of the customer.

The one good thing I can say is I was not charged for the sales pitch. I called this company out for clogged drain repairs. The company did send out a tech as they said they would but he definitely was not very well trained. A second tech arrived and after only looking (literally) at the plumbing made the decision that our cast iron pipe in the yard had failed and he would need to do more work.
He proceeded to tell my wife that we needed to move the basement tanks & pumps outside, re-route the kitchen sink & bathroom to the other side of the house along the walls to the bathroom plumbing. My wife texted me and said I needed to came talk to them as this sounded expensive. Upon my arrival home the second tech who was dressed like a salesman carrying an iPad proceeded to tell me the same story because he was unable to snake out a 2" line and didn't want to get his snake stuck in the check valves.
I said show me what you are seeing that I missed and upon inspection I could see that hadn't even pulled out a wrench. I asked if he attempted to remove the clean-out and was told no. to much water on top of it and they would be there a long time cleaning up the mess. I asked how he knew the pipe failed if he hadn't ran a snake or a camera to investigate.
He told me it is what happens around here with cast iron pipe. I told him we would think about it and sent him on his way. I could tell he was ready for a cold beer as it was about 4 pm on a Friday afternoon. I then proceeded to get a few tools & buckets and the wife & I drained the pipes. We spent 4 hours on this project due to the 3 trips to HD for parts and to go out to eat. Actual work time was about an hour and the pipe clog that was about 18" in from the clean out was cleared away and everything was draining just as it was the day before.

Had a furnace installed in December 2021. First they didn't have me in the schedule for the day I was given. Then the technicians dropped a sheet of metal and broke an a/c coil leaking Freon into my home. Which they ran out the front door to call their boss and didn't tell me. I only found out when I heard the hissing noise. Then they didn't seal around the exhaust on the roof (as described in the work order) so a month later when it rained it leaked down the exhaust pipe into the furnace and fried the circuit board.
So I was without heat while they had to order another one and gave someone desk around the exhaust. They put the wrong size cap on the top of the exhaust causing a backflow of fumes whenever my water heater kicked on. But the didn't find that problem when I called them. Someone else came out and diagnosed and fixed the issue. And then I had to call them 3 months after the installation that they hadn't charged me the 2nd half of the bill and I still owed them money. AWFUL, AWFUL experience.

When my water heater needed to be replaced, I had no clue who to call. Everyone at Tom Drexler was amazing. The technician assigned to my job was a gentleman named Will & he did great work! He took his time and explained everything that had to be done. You can tell Will really enjoys what he does and takes pride in his work! Thank you Will for a job well done!

We called Tom Drexler to get an estimate on having an exhaust fan replaced. The polite and professional receptionist scheduled us for the next day. We were notified the next day by text and phone that the electrician was on his way. The electrician, Sean A., was polite, friendly, and professional. It looked like the job was going to be labor intensive and more expensive than we thought, but due to Sean's ingenuity and willingness to go the extra mile, he was able to complete the job quickly and at a very reasonable cost for us. We appreciated Sean's electrical knowledge, skill, and kindness. We have used Ton Drexler twice now and will use them again. We highly recommend their services.

I had two visits from Tom Drexler PA&E today and both were great! Dylan F. came and did a furnace tune-up and was very efficient, professional, respectful of my working meetings on Zoom, and easy to talk to as he explained everything in simple terms and made good recommendations. Later Jeremy M. came because I suspected a water leak underground somewhere -- he found the area outside before I even first came to the door, confirmed the leak by looking at both my and my neighbor's water meter, explained options for both repair and replacement, financing, etc. and did all with concise ease that was a pleasure to interact with. Thank you both!

Cato gave us an estimate for multiple repairs and the installation of a new water heater in a home we just purchased. The inspection had unearthed multiple issues and he discussed appropriate options in detail. The estimate was a little on the high side, but Drexler stands by their work and works on a cost-per-job basis, which means that if they discover issues beyond the quote involved in getting the quoted job done, they will do it at no additional charge.
We also appreciated both the prompt attention to our work and Mike's approach. He and his assistant (Nick) came on time and we were very impressed with the quality of their work. When the rebuild of both bathroom faucets didn't work they replaced both at no cost (again, a good aspect of Drexler's price-per-job approach). I don't know if all of their service people are as good as Cato and Nick, but if so, I'd recommend them highly for any plumbing job you have going.

John T did a terrific job on our shower install. He and crew took out old tub and tile, rebuilt walls and flooring, replaced leaky plumbing, installed new walk-in shower, fixtures, doors and fan. John kept two crews organized over three days and saw that everything was done correctly. No time wasted. And he and all helpers were polite, accomodating and pleasant to have in our house. I recommend John T highly for all his hard and careful work.

I have never written a bad review about a business. However, I would be remiss to not make my experience with Tom Drexler Plumbing and A/C public. I purchased a duplex in New Albany, IN. Two days after closing the A/C in the building went out. The next day there was water backed up in the basement. It was a nightmare. I call Drexler and have them come out.
The first guy tells me that the A/C is old, but that some type of capacitor will keep it running a while longer. He puts in the capacitor and charges me $500. Ten minutes after he leaves, the A/C goes out again. They return and tell me I need a new A/C and furnace.$9900. A plumber comes out later that day. When I ask him to "snake out" the pipe.he says he cannot get the snake into the pipes because of a badly angled ground to surface pipe.
He also says he doesn't know which way the water is draining. Back to front or front to back. His solution is to dig up the existing pipes and replace them all.then he wants to scope the pipes and figure out the problem. His quote to re-do the pipes was $3400. That was just to get the snake and camera in. I called another plumber. He came out and snaked the pipe out with no trouble at all.
Total charge $315. It hasn't given me any trouble since. Also, I had Home Depot come out for an estimate on the AC/Furnace.$7100. By NOT using Drexler I saved almost $6000! Either Drexler's employees are completely incompetent and have no idea what they are doing.or the company is run by a bunch of crooks. Which is worse? I don't know.
It truly seems that they are unethical, lack knowledge and overcharge. The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. BEWARE! Don't be lured in by their fancy tv spots.

O had never used Tom Drexler in the past, but had several other businesses come to the house with variable results. I decided I needed two ceiling fans installed, two other electricians ha given me quotes that were higher than Tom Drexler. One wanted more money for one fan install that Drexler charged me for two fans. One was merely a replacement of the existing fixture, the other was a totally new install running wire from an existing switch and complete install of the fan and the receptacle in a ceiling that was totally devoid of any hardware. Austin came here, gave me a quote that was lower than other bidders and they stuck by it, Austin and his assistant did a quick professional job. As long as this kind of service is the norm, Tom Drexler will be my go to place for home repair.

We have used Tom Drexler a few times for plumbing and HVAC needs and had no issues with them. They were a little pricey, however the employees were always nice and helpful and able to address our concerns. Recently we had some plumbing needs for our bathroom and called them to make an appointment to come out. The appointment was for a few days later and they did not give a time in which they would be out.
When we called to check the day of to check when the technician would come, we found out they did not have us on the list of appointment for the day. This was after my spouse had waited at home all day for them to come. They said they would try to work us in when we expressed urgency and that they would call us. A few hours later the dispatch employee texted us saying the technician could not get to us that day and that they could not get us an appointment until the following week. We were very disappointed in the handling of the situation and lack of verbal communication.

Following is a reply to Tom Drexler that bounced back: I just wanted to talk to somebody to tell them how terrible the service was. I realize you're not in business just for me but when I make an appointment in May for June 9 and you can't even give me a time that day and I've got a block out the entire day then you call me in the morning of the 9th and tell me you can't make the appointment and you offer me June 28.
Most service providers give a 2-4 hour window and I realize that some people might be upset because the appointment prior to theirs ran over but it's better than blocking out 12 hours for zip. That's all just wanted to vent and tell you to stop emailing specials when you are understaffed. Fortunately I found someone else.

Adding to the long list of people recommending not to use Drexler for plumbing issues. They had come to our house to fix a shower faucet issue last year. We thought the problem had been fixed as we were told, but mold/seepage continued to form around the base of our shower over time. We tried to find the source of the leak, but Drexler claimed the issue was fixed and no current leak was found.
We had paid $300 and were led to believe the issue was resolved. Fast forward to this year. We had ASI Plumbing out to our house to replace an outdoor spigot. While replacing, I was taking a shower and the plumber from ASI noticed a huge leak from behind our shower while the water was running. We informed Drexler of this since this was the exact area they were tasked with fixing.
The receptionist was apologetic and understanding. The technicians are not. Drexler sent Gunther to assess the problem. He was condescending, annoyed, and rude to my wife. When she asked him to remove his shoes from the rainy outside, it was met with an eye-roll. When she asked to show him video of the leak, he said "I'll turn the water on and see it for myself" and then proceeded to stand back and watch water flood into our shower area, which could have been prevented by watching the video!
He said the water pooling and mold couldn't possibly have been from the shower situation, even though it's a clear and obvious leak in the area. Overall he had no concern or sympathy for the problem. He said they could fix it for $1000 and that their last visit to fix the issue was irrelevant. We sent him home and used someone else to fix it for a better price. We've experienced the same rude apathy in past experiences. We won't be using Drexler again.

Would not recommend this company. Scheduled for a plumber to come out the following day after we had to turn our water line completely off due to a bathtub faucet continuously running hot water. After scheduling with them she gave me a 12 hour time window as to when they would arrive at my house (who has time to wait around for 12 hours waiting for a plumber on a monday?) Reluctantly, I waited around calling every few hours and checking in and was assured someone would absolutely be out to our property THAT day.
After calling the 3rd time at around 7:30PM (30 minutes before the time window they gave me was over and after hour charges began) they forwarded me to a scheduling supervisor who had been "trying to get ahold of me ALL DAY to let me know that no one was going to be able to make it out" (keep in mind, I had called two additional times that day and NO ONE told me that. they kept assuring me that someone WOULD be out.) I received NO calls from them that day either even though they claimed to "try to get ahold of me all day".
She then proceeded to tell me no one would be able to be out until the following week (A WEEK WITHOUT RUNNING WATER). This company does not care about people's well being and is just there to collect their money. Would HIGHLY reccomend using another local service (we went with Maeser who had someone out to our house in THIRTY MINUTES)

Called for emergency plumber at midday on Sunday (said was willing to pay the extra $99 for Sunday call out). Meanwhile had to switch mains water off as the water pouring into basement. Therefore no water to drink flush toilets etc. they confirmed someone would be out (via text message) but was a no show and had no water all day. What a joke this company is. Could have called someone else.

I had the opportunity to interact with Delton from this company today at my parents house. They've had some service to their system that required a changing out of the thermostat on Friday, and Sunday night their he wasn't working right. The technician who had installed the system, noticed my parents address and requested it. He was incredibly persistent and kind.
My dad has been ill, and he promised me that he would make sure that he had heat that night. He eventually called in another technician for a second opinion. They fix the problem which was very random and not run of the mill. He was very clear that he valued them as regular customers. I really appreciated the service that we received. I've had lots of problems with heating and air company's, and I've never seen one that went out of this way to provide good service

Plumbing issues are never fun! This is especially true because they often are unexpected and can be a budget breaker. I have utilized Tom Drexler for plumbing emergencies in the past with good results. Recently, I decided to update a bathroom which was stuck in the 1960's. It had a few repair issues as well. I got a few different estimates, and after considering all the estimates, and evaluating the reputation, reviews and my impression of the overall integrity of each company.
I decided to go with Tom Drexler. Note on integrity-One of the other companies, WestShore is heavily advertised. It is not local and was several thousand more for less components. The sales person completed a Google review on my behalf before leaving my home. I was not informed this was taking place. He only asked me to answer a few questions about his service.
He then entered my responses into his tablet. I understand an internal review for quality assurance purposes but I do not trust a posted review that is completed before the project is completed. Earlier during this sales visit, Google reviews were used as part of tge pitch to me. This is a misleading way to boost the company rating reviews. Even a no frills remodel can be pricey, but choosing Tom Drexler brought me the comfort and knowledge that they have a long history and are a local company with an excellent reputation.
Each employee was friendly, professional, responsive and respectful. At the completion of my project, I was sent a link to rate the service that I had received. The order for completing the rating was correct and I was happy to note that I was pleased the result and I am happy that I selected this company. I am confident that I would utilize them for any future projects or plumbing issues.

This is the result of a sewage pipe repair under our driveway. Drexler's manager said "You'll never know we were here." This has been falling apart ever since because they used the cheapest materials possible. Pebble debris never leaves the driveway and the patch work has been an absolute eyesore. The grassy area on the other side of the yard has sunk at least 7 inches. Hard to display the grass in a photo but trust me it's huge.

On June 30, I had a Tom Drexler employee come to my house. When he arrived, I specifically told him about how my AC unit was running, but no air was coming out of my vents, and more importantly, I had a leak in my first floor ceiling, which is below my laundry room. I specifically told him I thought there was a plumbing issue. He cut me off, told me he was VERY busy, he needed to hurry and leave to get to other houses, and to just show him where my AC unit was.
To make a long sotry short, we were billed for a new cap (? – was never told what this even was b/c the employee was so ready to leave) and 3 lbs of refrigerant. The employee was being super sketchy by telling us that we should call him in 3 weeks to see if the leak was bad enough that “all the refrigerant had leaked.” We had another company come out a few days later and told us there was very little refrigerant. Luckily, they recharged the AC unit free of charge.
That either meant – 1. The leak was really bad, or 2. Tom Drexler did not recharge the AC unit with refrigerant. After the second company recharged the unit, we had another company come check it two weeks later. Still a leak (we knew there was one from last year), but there was a significant amount of refrigerant. My husband and I fully believe Tom Drexler did NOT fully charge our unit, and that we paid for nothing in that regard.
We were also told by Tom Drexler that the ceiling leak was from “the unit dethawing b/c it was frozen.” TURNS OUT, THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE. We actually had a pipe backing up from the outside drainage pipe. Dirt was actually getting into the outside pipe and backing up the pipe all the way through our walls into the second floor laundry room. If Tom Drexler had taken a second to look, or had their plumber look, the SECOND LEAK that happened a week and a half later could have been avoided. Instead, they were “too busy” and “had to get to other customers.”
The second leak mentioned above happened on July 16.
We called Tom Drexler, and they told us they could not promise that they wouldn’t charge us again. At this point, I decided to go with a real plumbing company. On July 17, I called to file a former complaint. I was told Darren would get back with me in 24 hours…. That was the funniest lie they could have told me. I waited until July 22, and then called to check up on the complaint. Darren was “busy” and was told he would call me back in 24 hours.
I was also told there were “notes” in their system that I had received a call from Darren on Friday, July 19, and that the “issue had been resolved, and the complaint would need to be reopened.” I waited until July 24 around 1pm (today), and AGAIN Darren was too busy to talked to me. I was told he would call back. I knew that was a lie, so I called at 4pm.
After waiting on hold, they finally seemed to find Darren. Darren then tried to tell me he tried calling three times and left two voicemails, which is a joke, b/c I’ve received calls and VMs from other numbers in the last week. The only thing they would reimburse for my troubles was the maintenance plan I had purchased… which in my opinion, that shouldn’t have even been a question.
I don’t want them ever in my home again. Save your money, I wasted over $500 with this terrible company. I will never use them again, and I’m convinced they pay people to write any kind of good review about them.

Brad came out to the house, looked at my disposal and gave me a number of options. He was on time, pleasant, and very helpful in trying to solve my problem. I previously had the company replace my waste water sump and they completed my semi annual inspection of the HVAC unit . Good people & knowledgeable, would recommend.

I’ve used Tom Drexler a number of times over the years and they never disappoint. All of the service technicians are polite and courteous and they take time to do the job right. I had Jeremy Uptain out this time and he was just what I’ve come to expect from the folks at TDP. Arrived on time, took care of the job in a timely manner all while engaging in pleasant conversation. When he was done, he cleaned up under the cabinet with his own Clorox wipes. I’d happily have Jeremy back to take care of any of our service needs!

Tiffany Frost came to my home. I was having a major plumbing issue. She was very professional and went above and beyond to fix our issue fast and explained everything to me. She was extremely knowledgeable. She truly cared about my situation. I will definitely be using Tom Drexler in the future and hopefully will have the pleasure of having Tiffany come back for our plumbing needs!

We had a stopped up kitchen drain that just wouldn’t clear. My husband is pretty knowledgeable about plumbing but the “snake” he was using was apparently not quite long enough to reach the clog. We had used this company a few years ago for a similar problem and still had their magnet advertising $99 drain cleaning on our refrigerator, so I called. Unfortunately, it was a Saturday and we had to wait until Monday to resolve the issue, but that was the only negative.
We were able to work around it for a couple of days. Adam Kunkel was the serviceman they sent. He was friendly and efficient and completed the job in no time at all. He was a pleasure to have in our home! I also liked the idea of getting a text with his picture before he arrived so we knew who to expect at our door!

The gentlemen who installed our new AC were exceptional!! At the end of the install they ran into an electrical issue, which they couldn't solve. They called one of their electricians (who was not on service or on-call), 30 minutes later their electrician was at our door, and 20 minutes after that the electrical issue was resolved. Aside from that, Tom Drexler let us borrow a temporary AC unit so that we could keep our first floor air conditioned, this saved us from having to go to a hotel for the week. Finally, 18-months same as cash for the cost of the install was a nice option. My wife and I could not be more pleased with Tom Drexler. We highly recommend this company for your residential heating and air service.

We came home from work to a swampy front yard. Called the water company not even to get a return call. We called Tom Drexler and were able to get someone out right away. The service tech they sent to do our water service replacement was Jeremy U. We were told that he would be here at 9am and Jeremy showed up appropriately early at 8:45 (which I did not mind due to the water leak :)

Prior to Dan's arrival, i was feeling very anxious and upset having so many issues pop up at once, not just my leaky old water pipes, lost crown on my tooth car etc. Dan entered my home, donned his booties and was so kind, he listened to me whine and cry then explained everything to me with patience and consideration.

I discovered late yesterday evening during the rain storm that our sump pump was running continuously, not shutting off. I called Tom Drexler Plumbing because of previous experience with them. I was told that it would be about an hour before a technician could get here; I was pleasantly surprised that I could get help that quickly.
