Critical: Responsiveness, Value Very poor customer service. Had a thermostat still under warranty that was bad, but they refused to follow up with the manufacturer or myself after several weeks of cold weather. Luckily, was finally able to obtain competent and reliable service technician with another company.

We have couple of rental properties. Between them and our home CWJ has installed 9 complete or partial AC/Heating unites over the past 18 years. We would not consider using anyone else. I'm certain they treat all customers well. And as "regular", long-time customers they could not be more responsive. Often with same-day service. They are trustworthy and keep great records on all units installed, no matter how long ago. Thanks!

Had someone out to assess replacing HVAC, both heating and cooling. Unimpressed. He went around taking a few meaningless pictures with his phone. Little dialogue. Never heard back with a quote. I went with different company where the person who came out to assess the situation discussed details, options, etc.

We didn't have heat when I woke up this morning. Our usual HVAC folks couldn't work us in for 4 days. Rod got guys to us a little before 2 PM today and they thawed out the frozen drain pipe and got is warm again. Brandon and Nate were very friendly and did their best to be quiet since the furnace is in the attic just above our babies' room. It's also nice that the service charge includes 1 hour of labor so you know what you're dealing with money-wise before things get started.
Maybe all companies are like that, but I don't recall having it explained so clearly before. I couldn't be happier (other than if the heat hadn't gone out in the first place).

Had attic air handler drain clog and the overflow pan sensor failed resulting in water damage on upstairs ceiling and and carpet. Discovered the mess around 11:45 pm Friday night and luckily caught pretty early as temps in mid 90s so was really pumping water out. Of course happened at worst time as had family coming in Sat and daughter was sick. First thing in AM called several places that stated were open Saturdays and left messages.
No return call. Decided to try CWJ as had used them a couple years ago and number still on my phone. Would have tried them first but website said closed on Sat. I called and left msg on VM hoping to sch for Monday. Received return call within hour or two from Brad with CWJ. He assessed level of "emergency" as he did not want us to be sweating out with such high heat.
He informed me of the weekend service rate as it was double the weekday rate and explained how I could possibly unclog the drain to allow us to use the air conditioning if wanted to wait until Monday because of higher weekend rate. In this day and age, I rarely experience a repair service provider willing to offer this type of assistance. Brad worked with me to get to house same day (sat).
He walked me through what he was seeing and doing and did not seem at all irritated (as some repair folks are) that I was watching him work and asking questions. He quickly identified the problems, completed the repairs, and tested the system. I greatly appreciated Brad's promptness, patience and willingness to answers questions. I am happy to say that I now have a HVAC company I can and plan to use as my go to. CWJ solidly have a loyal customer. Thank you.

Unfortunately my heat pump expired this winter. Fortunately, I called CWJ to replace it. They came out with snow on the ground and got the job done in one day. I could not have been happier with their staff. The salesman, office staff and most of all the crew were great to work with. I would highly recommend CWJ Heating and Air!

We have had a long relationship with CWJ Heating & Air ever since moving into Northern Durham in the early 1990's. They have always called to schedule appointments with us; arrived at appointments on time while calling to let us know they're coming; covered their feet with booties to keep your house floors clean; and acted in a courteous and professional manner.
All of this on top of performing excellent work. We have a biannual maintenance agreement with them to keep our heater/air conditioning in tip top shape. We have purchased a new system from them at a discounted rate. We have been very pleased with such great care and would highly recommend them to anyone.

CWJ Heating & Air has been performing service on our equipment for 11 years with their PMA (service agreement). We feel that with the regular up keep of our two systems, we have extended the life of our equipment. Some of the small things they found ahead of time prevented larger problems from occurring.

Late last summer our AC failed on a weekend that sure enough, friends were coming in from out of town. CWJ came to our rescue with quick service to find that the problem was an old AC system that had kicked the bucket. Not wanting to put any more money into this old system, I asked if there was any way to get the AC up and running before the weekend.

Brandon and Ryan came out to diagnose my HVAC system. They were on time, polite, professional, and extremely fast. They identified the problem quickly and knew exactly what they were doing. My only criticisms were that they didn't have the part I needed on their truck (a simple SPST switch - fortunately I had a spare lying around), and I found their service call pricing ($100) a little higher than the going rate ($80). But then again, none of those $80 shops were available same-day.
