AC unit stopped cooling in the summer - Yikes! They scheduled me quickly and the tech, Andrew, fixed it quickly. He was great. Last fall they serviced my furnace and that was well done too. I had Bryant-Durham install a Generac whole house generator. Chris and his crew were friendly, prompt and professional from beginning to end. It took them just a couple of days to perform the install and go over the system. They also continued working with me when I had issues related to the Amerigas folks not properly connecting my LP gas line to the generator which was resulting in incorrectly performing weekly self tests.
They pointed out issues with the LP piping that needed to be addressed (as it took multiple county inspections and Amerigas visits to finally get the gas piping done correctly). I haven't had to use the system in the 2 months I've had it, but am ready. The Duke Employee discount on the system was an added bonus - as I will look toward them in future to perform my routine/repair on my HVAC system going forward as well.

Eric was very helpful in determining the issues with the A/C. He was professional and courteous, and completed the work in a timely fashion. Our power went out last night and as a result, the generator came on. The stove was making a strange sound, so I had to cut that breaker off. The AC Unit is on that same breaker. The next morning (Saturday), I called our electrician, Bryant Durham, and Dwayne came out determined the stove had quit working. So, he got it unhooked so we could cut the breaker on to use the AC Unit (90 degrees today).
He also replaced a receptacle for us. Dwayne was very professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and provided the excellent customer service that we have consistently received over the years from this company (And on a weekend!). Thank you so much!

Another local HVAC company told me as a new customer they couldn't do anything for me until late next week. I called Bryant-Durham and they said they could send out a tech the same day. He arrived early, fixed the unit, cleaned it and checked the freon. He was polite and my house was cooling again within an hour. Really great service!

I wasn't overly satisfied with the install of a whole house power surge protector. The wall cutout/cavity hole was cut too big which left a gaping hole. The technician was nice enough; but the job/work simply didn't live up to our expectations for a seamless finish. It fell short (literally). We followed up by adding a custom built wall plate to cover the rough finish. See ALL pics (pre and post adding the custom wall plate to cover the gaping hole made during the installation).

So far this company has rewired my house and replaced the HVAC system. They have been very friendly, Professional and helpful with their work. They called to followup as well to see how we liked their work. We had an issue with one outlet and they sent a repair person out 2 days later. He apologized for the inconvenience and quickly fixed the problem. I'm looking at another upgrade now to do with them.

Demetrius was the project lead for our electrical upgrade for all of the two-prong, non-grounded outlets in our house. He came the day before the project was scheduled to begin to be sure he'd have all the materials he needed ready by the next day and also plan out the order of steps. We had other requests as well: installation of exterior outlets, re-connection of a motion sensor light, re-installation of a bathroom light, and few other odd things. Demetrius took care of the request list and more -- he went above and beyond on multiple things and caught a few hazardous situations we had never known about.
I think the work took a total of five days over a two-week period (holiday timing) and Demetrius/D'Wayne took care of manageable chunks of work each day that never left us without power/AC, etc. by the time they left. Good people, reasonable price for the scope of work, and done in a timely fashion. Would definitely hire them for work in the future, but I don't think we'll have to! :)

This review is long overdue, but I want to make sure that Demetrius Allen gets credit for the amazing customer service that he provided for me several months ago. I had a ceiling fan that needed the on/off chain replaced. Demetrius tried both Lowe's and Home Depot, but due to the age of my fan, he was not able to find the replacement part. Rather than tell me that I'd need to replace the whole ceiling fan, he told me that he had a bucket of spare parts at his home, and that he was sure he had the needed part. So, off he went, and within an hour, he was back at my house with the part. Installation was fast and easy. Demetrius was super friendly throughout, and I felt safe with him in my home.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I was a bit surprised by the price when all was said and done. I'd expected it to be under $100 and it was a bit over $200. But given that Demetrius had gone to three locations before finding the part, I didn't feel like making an issue out of it. I would use this company again, and specifically ask for Demetrius. - Laura B.

Dwayne did everything I was promised. He called ahead of time and gave me a correct ETA. Although it was not rainy, because he had come from a job where he had to get dirty, he put on his slippers to make sure he didn't track in dirt, and he neatly put away the remnants of the two ceiling lights he installed and took care to enable me to donate the lights he replaced. The new fixtures look great, and he worked carefully yet quickly and was both friendly and professional. Very good experience.

I wanted to do a total update to the electrical service of an older home that I purchased. Bryant Durham provided excellent service from start to finish. Chris Wolfe came out to inspect the home, discuss my vision and gave me good feedback and a reasonable quote with options. He was very good at communicating and returning calls throughout the course of the project. Electrician Demetrius Allen won my trust and I feel fortunate to have had such a skilled electrician who takes pride in his craft doing the work on my house.

I recently arrived at my home in Durham to find that the air conditioning was not functioning. I called Bryant - Durham Services to schedule an appointment for repair. I was told that I would be put on the wait list since early June is a particularly high demand period. I agreed to be put on the wait list. I took that appointment. The technician from Bryant-Durham made a courtesy call that next morning to make sure that I would be at the residence. The technician (Brad Davis) diagnosed the problem quickly, made the repair, and took the time to educate me about what I could do to "help" with the maintenance of my system. Brad was extraordinarily patient and courteous as he discussed what homeowners should do to maintain their systems. I was so impressed that I asked to be added to their regular service program.

I am a female senior citizen and a new customer to Bryant. Because this system was for my daughter, I interviewed 5 other HVAC companies. Bryant provided the most detailed, comprehensive explanation of the scope of work. They also provided excellent financing. In addition, their warranty package surpassed the other companies. The most compelling reason to use Bryant is their staff.

It's a shame, because I had them do a bunch of wiring in my garage about a year ago, and they were great. The wiring was extensive, and cost about $2k. Since then, I have had them out for several estimates, one to install a mini split A/C unit, which their quote was unbelievably high, and most recently to install/replace a chandelier.

We called Bryant on Sunday morning about our A/C unit, which had stopped working overnight, and were told a technician would call soon with information. I received a call from the tech, who let me know they were very busy (understandable) but would try to get to us that day or at least call back to schedule a time the following day. I never heard back, and by the time we realized no one was coming, we had to sleep in our 88 degree home overnight.
When I called back this morning, I was told that they were booked solid all week and just simply wouldn't be able to help me.even though this is not what we were told the day prior. It seemed like they had put me back to the end of their list, with no other solution offered. I know that AC units are probably all struggling with the heat this week, but that's no excuse for a company to just not follow up and then say they can't help you for at least a week. Very poor customer service. I will make sure that friends and family are advised NOT to use this company for their HVAC needs.
