Appliance Cowboys

My fairly new 4 yr old Samsung dryer drum stopped spinning. I called on a Saturday and received an appointment for Monday. Monday morning came and I got a call from Sal asking if I'd like to schedule appointment Tuesday through Thursday and when I said I was told they could come Monday, Sal did honor the request and scheduled me between noon and 3pm.

I called at 3 PM after not hearing from anyone and later found they were running late, which does happen. Sal and Rey showed up around 5 and were able to fix my dryer the same day. I was thankful they had the part on their truck. Before they left I did ask if they had reconnected the dryer hose to the dryer and was told yes by Rey. Sadly once I attempted to use my dryer I discovered it was not reconnected and the hose was all crumpled up and not attached at all: See attached photo.

So I had to pull my dryer out and after about 15 to 20 minutes of work was able to get it reconnected myself. I wish they had done that part as they said they had and wouldn't have cost me extra time and frustration to figure it out myself and pay fully for service that wasn't really fully completed. ****Update: 6/1/2022 - almost immediately after I posted my review the owner, Marco, called to see how he could make it right.

He offered to send the team out to replace my vent hose with a newer one and he also offered a free dryer vent cleaning service. That service was completed yesterday and the same technicians were thorough and also let me check to ensure the vent hose was hooked up correctly. Later in the day Marco called to follow up on the service. I appreciate the customer service in making things right and a dedication to ensuring his team used my experience as a learning opportunity for future customers. *****

Scheduled a Monday visit on a Sunday, scheduler was exceptionally nice and easy to talk to. Demetrio called me the next morning to finalize the time. Arrived on time. Exceptionally professional and friendly and happily answered a few of my questions, most of which were just my curiosity on how appliances work. He quickly diagnosed the issue and put the refrigerator back in service. Will definitely use them again.

Feel confident trusting Appliance Cowboys for any of your appliance repair and maintenance jobs. They are knowledgeable, respectful, efficient and effective. It was super easy to schedule them, and they showed up on time. Technician Sal and his partner Ray saved the day - fixed my oven, performed maintenance on my fridge, inspected my hot water heater and also my dryer.

They gave me insights into when to get different maintenance services done, an estimate of how much it would cost for my budgeting, and what to look for before my different appliances have major problems. 12 out of 10 - I highly recommend!

Thanks to Sal for fixing our Whirlpool oven that wouldn't start. He was able to perform some routine maintenance and now it works like a charm! I looked around town for a refrigerator repair and came across Appliance Cowboys. Best decision I've made! First off Sal is very professional and very experienced as you can tell by the way he explains his repair process. Sal called me back after requesting a quote and gave me a straight forward answer. If it's broken fix it all or you will have more problems in the future, with that said I said this is right place!

I emailed them after hours and the next morning I received a call to schedule a visit to check out my washer. I had researched possible issues and cost of parts that may need to be ordered in advance. Juan was in my area already so I was visited quickly. He took his time to inspect and get parts ordered with an estimate for parts and labor that aligned with my research. When parts arrived Juan was able to come and fix it. I've only washed one load since the repairs, but it's working well.

Sal was professional and communicative. He kept me informed of his arrival time and what to expect of the appointment. He was able to repair my ice maker in the same visit. Seemed a little pricey for repairs (which is why I gave 4 stars), but I don't know what ice maker repairs go for these days in comparison. He cleaned out the freezer after completing the repair and put everything back nicely. Sal was proficient and knowledgeable.

Sal was the wonderful technician who showed up to service our oven and cooktop. He was very knowledgeable and explained every detail in very understandable terms. He was very thorough. He made contact before coming to be sure we would be at home. He arrived within the time window expected. Very polite as well. And he had all the tools necessary to complete the service call. Highly recommended. And will refer the company to others.

Our dishwasher had a problem so I googled "appliance repairs houston." I called a few places for which there were good reviews and decided on Appliance Cowboys. Juan came out the next day and quickly diagnosed the likely problem. Long story short, we decided just to get a new dishwasher and once it arrived (that's a story in itself -- very few in stock anywhere) Juan came back and installed it.

He was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, even answering a couple of texts over the weekend, and did a very good job both times he came. The cost was reasonable, to the extent any repairs are reasonable nowadays. I recommend Appliance Cowboys.

Sal was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, proactive, and communicative. Very personable. He managed to secure the part we needed, which was a challenge, and stayed late to get it installed. He even vacuumed my refrigerator coil for me (something I had neglected). He also advised me on few other appliances that we're making strange sounds. I would definitely use Appliance Cowboys again!

Demetrio with Appliance Cowboys saved the day! We had two refrigerators break in the same month. He diagnosed the problem and got the parts within a couple of days (even with the ongoing supply chain issues!). We were so impressed with how courteous he was and how fast he solved the problem. We will definitely call Appliance Cowboys for any appliance repairs in the future.

Sal was great. He quickly diagnosed the issue with our dryer and fixed it. The cost was reasonable and they were at my house within 1 day of calling them.

Demetrio was our tech. He was prompt and knowledgeable. He gave us honest feedback on what was necessary for the repair. I asked for a couple extra things- new gaskets on two of the fridge doors to improve the seal. He ordered parts, they came in as expected, and he installed them as soon as he received them. Easy and affordable, the way appliance repair should be.

The technician called the night before to make our apointment and asked what the appointment was for. I let him know the error code displayed on our Jenn-Air range, "call service low fan". I was told he would be here between the hours of 3 and 6 pm the next day. The technician and his helper showed up and pulled the range out far enough to check the voltage.

I was told that it only was getting 120 volts but required 240 volts. I explained to him after showing him the breaker box, that that was impossible because it is a two pole breaker. I tripped the breaker and reset it. I told the technician that his helper had not hit both hot legs in the 4 prong plug with their tester. Back to the range with the tester which showed both legs hot.

We than tried to re-start the range and he said that after resetting the breaker, it was fixed because no error code displayed! I asked them to wait and sure enough the error mesage again showed up on the display. I was told that we needed a new part that apparently is no longer available, but he would double check and send me a quote the next day.

I never got the quote, or a return phone call even after leaving a message. I basically paid this outfit, Drug Store Cowboys, $75.00 to flip my own breaker and read me what the display said! After I gave this review, the owner reached out to me. In these hard times with covid and ships that can't get into port, parts are hard to come by! He told me that he would do some additional employee training and that he was very concerned that I was not happy.

You know what, I believe him. Having had employees myself, good help is hard to find. He made it right by refunding me the $75.00. The owner also mentioned the parts shortage. He is right. My wife and I went to purchase a new range with downdraft exhaust and you would think i was trying to buy Amelia Earharts' plane. As I was shopping, and not just at the big box stores, I asked about getting the new electronic board for our range and was told that it would not happen for a year or just never! Summing up this experience, in the future when I schedule work to be done I will ask a few more questions before I have the technician come out. Would I recommend Appliance Cowboys? Yes, just give them more information about your problem up front.

Awesome job! They repaired our dryer door switch. The light inside had been out so long, I forgot it had one. They fixed it too without being a part of my request. Pricing is not cheap, but it's reasonable. Definitely cheaper than buying a new dryer!

Had an issue with our Samsung dryer not heating. Was able to get an appointment same day. Joseph was our technician who came out and diagnosed and fixed the problem. Had a different issue with our refrigerator/freezer a couple years ago and had a similar great experience with Joseph. Prompt response, on time, outstanding customer service, fair price. Highly recommend this company and Joseph.

Sal was very professional. Had the parts on hand which made repairs much easier. Helped fix a self inflicted mistake i made without charging extra. Stayed to ensure oven was completely functional. Excellent service! Very professional & friendly service technician. Demetrio. He was able to do the repair "on the spot" since he had the necessary equipment/parts. I would highly recommend them for any of your appliance needs! We will definitely use them again. Best service ever! (And I'm not one to give this kind of review, but it is well-deserved.)

I called Appliance Cowboys to service my refrigerator because the freezer wasn't working properly. When scheduling the appointment they said they could come same day and told me they would be here around 1. When the tech showed up he diagnosed the fridge with a bad compressor and wait it would be about $1300. I said that we would by a new fridge for that price and the tech then said we needed to pay a service fee.

During the original discussion with the secretary she never mentioned a service fee so I was surprised, but I paid the fee instead of fighting this. After I got off the phone I called the manufacturer and found out I had a warranty on the compressor and asked the Appliance Cowboy tech if he could do the work on the compressor that's under warranty.

The tech told me he didn't know when the fridge was made and couldn't do the job since he couldn't verify the manufacture date. I think this is ridiculous the a tech can't real the data label in the fridge. After I gave up with them the Manufacturer tech came out and diagnosed that the freezer has a broken wire in the door causing it to not work properly. Do not hire this company. Their employees don't know what they are doing.

Absolutely first class service and timely response. Unlike may other slight-by-night outfits, these Cowboys get better and better. Marco is a 5-star repairman, helped us diagnose the dryer problem over the phone call and suggested that we can easily fix it ourselves without their help, which we did. In other instances when he did come and fixed other appliances, he was always timely and fast in fixing and replacing old parts. We Houstonians are really lucky to have them here.

I just want to give a shout out to Marco. We'd been waiting for a part to come in for our refrigerator, but it had been delayed after the storm. As soon as it came in, Marco reached out and fit us in that day. He had everything fixed quickly and was friendly as always! We will definitely call the next time something breaks down.

Demetrio came out to help with a broke refrigerator. Despite me having to reschedule very last minute, he was able to adjust his schedule and show up within 20 minutes. He was friendly and professional; answering all my questions.

Wanted to update my review of Appliance Cowboys. My experience appears to be an outlier and the Company owner, Marco, stepped up and did the right thing. When I contacted him about the poor repair (a leaky solder connection on a fridge line), he expressed his apology for charging us and rfunded the money we'd paid. Stand up guy and company. Once they knew about the problem, they made it right.

Despite a little mix up initially, Appliance Cowboys did a good job. My tech, Joseph, was very professional and knowledgeable, and explained everything he did. He was able to fix our ice maker in a short time. Marco was very responsive in addressing our initial mix up. More important than having a problem (which is going to happen), is how people address and fix the problem. Grade A on both accounts for Appliance Cowboys. I recommend them and will use them again.

It was an emergency. I was expecting my meat purchase and my freezer stopped working. Appliance Cowboys were able to find a technician near my address. He called right away and arrived within minutes. He was knowledgeable, got to work immediately, took a logical approach to the issue, and left me with a working freezer. My dryer would take 4 cycles to dry my clothes and even then it was like my clothes would be "steaming" in the dryer. I called and they were able to come out quickly to access the problem. The tech (Joe) had an idea of what was going on but when he saw my dryer he realized it was worse. I purchased the dryer from scratch and dent ( DONT GO THERE) and it was installed WITHOUT a vent, so all of my lent was being piled up in the dryer and behind my wall.

It was a mess! I live in an apartment building and it could have easily caught fire smh. Joe was able to fix it and was very honest about the prices (which are reasonable). Needless to say I don't have to make any more trips to the laundromat because he had spare parts with him and was able to fix my dryer in about an hour. Call them first before you go out and buy a new dryer!

I needed a general maintenance on my washing machine. Joe was our technician and did a great job. He kept me posted on arrival time and explained all of his work clearly and gave me tips on how to keep my washer in top working order. I will definitely use them again!

Joe Clark came out and he was very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with his work and will definitely want him back at my house, if I ever need it again. I recently had a malfunction with my dishwasher and did research into selecting a local company instead of a national giant. The initial phone call was okay even though it was odd that she answered the phone without a greeting or acknowledgement their company. It's strange because that's how you would answer your phone at home, not a company.

They are 24/7 (answering service) and took my info at 7 pm with the promise that someone would call me immediately from the tech side to schedule an appointment for the next day. I sent her my information via text per her request. I waited all day and night for someone to give me a ring just to find out that the ball had been dropped. I got no response from the initial text to say that she received it; but, the gentleman the next day found my information in his system.

It took me a few times to get ahold of someone just to be informed that they'd have to find a tech to give me a call. A tech finally called days later to say that he could plan a visit to estimate the repair. I ended up calling another company that responded quickly and had someone out there less than 12 hours later.

IThe technician Joe Clark was simply the best technician that I have dealt with over the years. The problem with my washing machine was not easily diagnosed with the information that I was giving him. He stayed with it until he figured out the problem I am a senior on a fixed income. They are very reasonable and care about their customer. Excellent service on every level, from my phone call to this company to their leaving my home after making repairs awesome service.

Had a dryer that wasn't producing heat. Called Appliance Cowboys and they came out same day and quickly diagnosed the problem. They didn't have the part I needed (I have an old dryer) but they promised to come back in 2 days. They were able to come back next morning and the dryer is working. Very happy.

Marco Romos came out a day earlier than they quoted me which was good because my laundry was starting to pile up. He was extremely, polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issues with all of my appliances and fixed the one I wanted repaired without pushing me to repair the ones I wanted to wait on. Called several appliance repair companies and a few got back to me. Appliance Cowboys not only got back to me fast they squeezed me in the next day when the others could only come several days out. My older oven was not heating. They diagnosed the gas ignitor issue very quickly, had the pet and fixed it all in about 30 minutes. Their price was comparable to the other quotes. Nice guy and seemed very honest. I will use them again.

My oven went out last, tired to fix it myself. Well that didnt go well. So I contacted appliance cowboys. With only five days till Thanksgiving and no oven. Appliance Cowboys came thru they even had the part that I needed at 6:00pm at night. So now my oven is in top shape and ready to bake.

Crappy customer service. Called the number and the guy told me to text him my name and address and that he would text me back within an hour. I do exactly as he asks, I get no reply. I then text him again a couple hours later and he immediately replies with "what do you need fixed?" And I proceed to tell him (again) and then I don't get a response.

Does this place not want new customers? Lol. I wouldn't recommend this place to anymore, this shows how rude and uncaring they are

I was fit into their schedule the same day I called. It may have been a 4-hour turn around for them to receive my call, schedule the diagnosis, dispatch technician, and fix the dryer....WHAT? In 2018...unheard of! While I was not expecting to be taken care of so fast...that was AWESOME! Exceeded my expectations 10-fold. Will be storing the number and using again.

My mother's has used them in the past without a problem, but for our latest repair issue, we have yet to hear back from this company after multiple attempts. My sister called them and spoke with Mary a couple weeks ago Mary was supposed to call her back after checking with a technician - never did. Then my sister emailed them.no response. I then called and spoke with Mary early this week and she was going to have a tech send me a quote after I sent her pics of the oven repair.

I sent the pics shortly after hanging up. 2 days later, we still hadn't heard anything. I text Mary back and she said she would "check with a tech" for the 3rd time and wouldn't you know. NO RESPONSE TO DATE. They were once reputable but now I would not recommend them as you will never hear back from them.at least not from their receptionist Mary. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Update: I have since been contacted by the company and been provided an explanation concerning the delay.

My refrigerator went out yesterday, which was unexpected. I called Appliance Cowboys after reading their 5 star reviews. This company is great! The service was excellent and the price was very affordable.

The guy was nice very professional a little pricey but I really wanted to fix my stove, as soon as the warranty expired my stove stopped working again same problem. And they wanted to charge all over again meatless to say we just got a new stove not gonna spend $600 on fixing it so it can stop working 3 months later.

Appliance Cowboys had the lowest service fee and the person on the phone was professional unlike some other places. Communication was great and the tech was on time and work with my schedule. Yes I will use them again in the future.

Marco is an excellent appliance man. He is always here at the appointed time. He really knows the business. He is a very nice, cordial person, the type you are happy to welcome in your home.

Marco from Appliance Cowboy did a great job installing my garbage disposal and repairing my dishwasher. He got here early on a Saturday and quickly diagnosed the problem. He worked quickly and thoroughly and did a terrific job. I thought the price was reasonable for the services provided. Great service! I called to set up an appointment for a refrigerator repair (on a 14 year old frig) and as it turns out, they diagnosed the problem over the phone - very impressive! Marco met me at my home on my lunch hour (he called and said he was in the area, so I was able to leave work and meet him). He fixed the problem quickly and even threw in a free maintenance check - all at a very reasonable cost.

All the while, he showed/explained what he was doing - very honest and professional - he did what he said he'd do and nothing extra. All in all, a great experience and I will definitely use them again for any future repairs. I just wish I had known about them before I recently shelled out $600 for a new dryer! It's nice to know that there are honest, knowledgeable and reliable repairman out there. Marco, you rock!! Thanks again.
