I had my start in roofing at the age of 19 and I had no idea back then that this early job would be a lifelong career for me. After a span of approx. 17 years in working with 5 different roofing companies, I was prepared to start my own company. Soon after, my wife gave birth to the first of our 3 daughters in June 1996 and with only one employee, Ability Plus Roofing, Inc. had its start.

I worked hard installing roofs during the day and talking to new customers at lunchtime, evenings & weekends. The business grew fairly quickly after that first year as word was getting out. My biggest struggle however, was in hiring new employees.

Ability Plus Roofing replaced the roof on our house on approximately 6/20/14. We closed on our house on 6/30/14 and moved in on 7/3/14. (We split the cost of the roof with the sellers). They roof was to be a complete tear-off and replace.
