Interstate Roofing

This company has a great reputation and is mostly (to my knowledge) word of mouth. The carpentry, roofing, and gutter installation crews were--to my knowledge--competent and cleaned up after the fact very well. They followed best practices. They also fixed the barge boards that were a design failure of the builder allowing roof runoff to run over painted wood. I appreciate their hard work!

Interstate Roofing did a fantastic job on our new roof installation. Sean did a great job explaining all of our options when selecting a new roof the met our needs and budget. When Joe and the crew showed up to do the installation they were on time and professional. Joe answered all of my questions about the installation and check on a few things I was concerned about.

The team was very fast and did an excellent job. When the project was over the team cleaned up all around the property and Joe came by and did a final inspection. I can't leave out the office staff. Jordan kept me informed on the schedule and when things would be happening around the house. I would recommend using Interstate Roofing to anyone who needs any of their services. Mike

Interstate Roofing did an amazing job, they completed my roof in one day. I would give them a 5 star rating. Everyone working on my home was very professional and respectful. They took extra care not to damage any of of my plants and they made sure to keep the yard free of debris. When they finished they raked around the home to make sure there wasn't any nails or small pieces of debris laying around. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is needing a roof replaced.

We hired Interstate to fix a leak in our roof. Excellent experience. They got back to me promptly with a date when they could come out, updated me by text on the morning of the appointment, showed up on time, quickly found the leak, repaired it and cleaned up. They even gave us pix of the damage and the repair. Everyone we dealt with, from the office to the roof guys, was professional, clear, responsive and service oriented. Overall, an excellent experience.

Everyone at Interstate was so helpful. They presented themselves as honest, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Once I hired them to do my roof, they kept in close contact, keeping me informed as to when they would start and how to prepare. The roofers themselves were such hard workers who were fast and dedicated. They cleaned up the yard everyday before they left. They tried to make the experience as smooth as possible. They all were great. I'm happy I chose Interstate to do my roof. I would code them again.

We are very happy with our interaction with Interstate Roofing, from start to finish. Work done in February, they made sure to protect the roof from rain everyday during the project. They coordinated and expedited all aspects of our project and with professionalism. Their experience and talent allowed us to proceed with confidence. We were referred to Interstate by a family member after Interstate did major roof repairs for them which they are very happy with as well. Called a couple company's and decided to go With Interstate roofing, Lance came out and checked my roof gave me estimate, he answered all my questions. They said it would be a two day job and they where done in one, the crew was finished and gone before I got home from work. Jordan in the office was super nice and helpful. The dumpster and port a potty was removed when promised. Super friendly folks roof and skylight look wonderful. They cleaned up all The debris and the yard does not look like they where here. Respectful of my family and property.

Just got a new roof with flashing repairs and new intake vents for our house in Portland, couldn't be more pleased with the job they did. Communication was 100% transparent, there were additional charges to replace a couple of sheets of plywood, but they discussed the possibility before we signed a contract. Materials used were good (used ACX plywood and Corning TruDefinition shingles), we would definitely use them again.

Our contact at Interstate was Sean, he was super helpful, patient, professional and responsive. Very pleasantly surprised given the state of getting work done during Covid times.

Just had my roof completed by Interstate Roofing they did an amazing job from start to finish. They cleaned up the site every single day I never found one piece of trash or roof pieces in my yard even after they left. They were done in 2 1/2 days and so very nice to work with and my roof looks beautiful. I live in a neighborhood where A lot of people are having their roof redone as the homes are 20 years old. Some of my neighbors have had their roofs done and others have gotten bids from other companies and they are all almost double from what Interstate Roofing charged me.

Interstate Roofing did a magnificent job on our roof and gutter installation. Both jobs were completed in less time than was estimated. The roof took two days our yard was cleaned after each days work as well as at the end of the job. The crew was polite, affable and professional. We chose Interstate Roofing because they have been in business for over thirty years, they guarantee their work and their price was competitive. We highly recommend Interstate Roofing.

Interstate did a great job on our roof replacement for both our rental house and our main house. They provided a very detailed bid, completed the job start to finish in 3 days, were very professional and had excellent follow through. Highly recommend!

Several years ago, I had a great experience when Interstate Roofing re-roofed my house. Based on that experience, and because the roof is still under warranty, I hired them to replace flashing that had been removed when I recently had my patio cover replaced. Unfortunately, they do not guarantee repairs. I was charged $366 for them to install a small length of flashing, which took less than an hour and did not eliminate the leak. I refuse to throw good money after bad and have advised them that I will never do business with them again.

Waste of time. Salesman was nice, explained the basics, took a look at the roof, and left. Was professional the whole time. That was about the extent of their service. He told me I would get a quote the next day when he went into the office. He said he was busy that week, so when I didn't get a quote the next day I waited a full week. No quote. I emailed him asking for a follow-up, no reply three weeks later. Skip over this company and save yourself some time.

We received 3 bids and choose Interstate. They did a tear off of two layers of shingles and put a new composite roof (and replaced an existing skylight) and gutters on July. Their sales person was good, low pressure and good at explaining our options. Both the roof and gutter crews were polite. We've only had the new roof for a month, but at this point are satisfied and I would recommend and use them again.

Don't waste your time. I called they came out and said I will have a bid next day. Never got it. Sent an email no response. Texted and said I am in meeting will make sure you get a copy never got it.

Good experience with interstate. No BS with them, we had Debella quote us first and they were straight hustlers. Starting at like 30k dropping the price by 10k in minutes with a huge slide show that took 2 hours to get through. Interstate was quick, they had some good project managers do check-ins and I would recommend them.

I am beyond thrilled with the job Interstate Roofing did for us. We have used other roofing companies in the past, however Interstate surpassed all of them from our interactions from start to finish. Their estimate was well detailed, the workers were here on time each day and communicated with me about their progress, they kept me informed on what needed repair versus just clean.

The best part is I left on day one, looking outside and seeing all the debris all over our yard and I was concerned, however upon returning home they did such an amazing cleanup job it was like they weren't ever here. On the second day not only did they clean up they also power rinsed the entire house, it all looked amazing. If you want the job done right use Interstate Roofing!

My roof was installed by Interstate Roofing in August 2005. I had 30 yr singles with a 15 yr labor warranty. I noticed leaks on my front porch last month in October (not the first time they had to come out and fix leaks for me) and call Interstate right away to get someone out to help fix the problem. They told me they would put me on the schedule only if I gave them my credit card.

They would not send anyone unless they had a card number, because it might turn out that the leaking was not their installers fault and in that case it would cost me $275 for the first hr (includes drive time) and aprox. $150 every 1/2 hr after. Their cost to diagnose my problem that- wasn't their fault! (First, they tried to tell me that my warranty had expired, but I had a copy in front of me with 10 months left- saying it was still under warranty.) I was so disappointed in their treatment, and the way they talked to me. that I didn't trust they would own up to doing anything wrong and honor their warranty.

I ended up getting a new roof from a small family owned business. Soto and Brothers roofing from Battle Ground They were great! Alvino ended up replacing 15 sheet of plywood all rotten because of things done wrong by Interstate. 8 sheets were replaced on my dormers as Interstate had not installed any ridge vents, and 7 were in the middle of the east facing front roof where something failed and the leaks were coming from.no one ever walked on that part.too steep.

I called to voice my disappointment to Interstate and was asked what I wanted them to do? I said the least they could do was pay for the 15 new sheets of plywood I had to have replaced. Their answer. I voided my warranty by letting someone else tear off my roof, and they didn't have anyone available to come and take a look.(at the time rains were still in the forecast) Plus she said plywood only costs Interstate $11 a sheet, and they weren't going to pay another roofers prices or someone else to fix anything.

Thanks for nothing Interstate! I do not Trust or Recommend them to anyone. They are too big for their britches and really don't care about the small home owners. JD Brush Prairie WA

We just moved into a new house and figured that our roof was near the end of it's service life, so we called Interstate Roofing to come over to make an inspection and a bid. We already had two other bids and neither could be called cheap. To our surprise, the guy from Interstate told us that he thought the roof had another couple of years left on it.

He did suggest some work that may need to be done, but it wasn't something that their team does- we'd need to contact a siding contractor. The rep also wrote up and e-mailed us a detailed report of his findings that included photos and all of his notes. So, we were given very valuable information and Interstate Roofing charged us nothing in return for it. Amazing. Thanks, guys! When we do need a new roof we'll happily call you back over!

Well I couldn't be more disappointed in an experience. I have never wrote a review but this is just to much. As consumers you have a right to go somewhere else and be treated fairly. They took my credit card and said it was only to be a deposit. When I wasn't satisfied as I couldn't tell they cleaned my roof they never called back or responded to emails.

Then they just took the money out from the card on file. What a horrible way to do business. So now I see my neighbors getting there roof cleaned and wonder why didn't I go somewhere else. I still need it cleaned. What a drag to be treated like this for a $1,000.

Don't waste your time. Did not return phone calls and when they did call, we made an appointment. Did not show or call. Pathetic.

Trying to sell my house. The inspector found some mold in the attic. So I found a guy to come and look at the mold to see what he can do. That company said there needs to be more ventilation in the attic so get a roofer to put more vents in. I called Interstate and was told it's $275 for them to come out and look to see what they can do. And that would be put against the final bill if I have them do the work.

I understand service call prices. That's just a little high but ok. Got a call the next day to set up for them to come out and look. The guy that I talked to asked me what was going on and I told him and he said that is going to be very very expensive to do. I was told 1:00 they would be there. At 2 o'clock no call. I called and he said he's running late.

I have moved out if the area and I'm no longer at the house. I get a bid that in my idea is "Interstate Roofing doesn't want the job don't ever call us again." Kinda of price. And nothing was put I. The bid about the money I had paid at that time. I will be driving the 2 hours back to my house to fix the issue that should only take me about 4-5 to fix and the 2 hours back home. And I will save over $3200. Thank you very much

Interstate replaced our shake roof with shingles, replaced all the skylights, and replaced all of our gutters & downspouts. They did a great job, on time, and at a fair price. They did a good job explaining the impact on house livability while they were working. No surprises; Great cleanup of the site. Also they explained the option of adding clean-outs to the downspouts. which I love because we live in a heavily treed lot. I would highly recommend them.

In the end I am ultimately satisfied with the results. I had 8 different estimates to replace my roof and gutter system. I chose to go with Interstate because their rep was very knowledgeable, friendly, had the best warranty and he was able to answer all my questions. Unfortunately we had a misunderstanding about the warranty I would receive. Interstate and I worked it out in the end.

The roof looks great and so do the new gutters. My wife and I are very happy with the colors. Everyone we worked with, the sales rep, installers and project manager were great people, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. When I say above and beyond I mean willing to come in on an off day and help out with something and give advice. Rare and greatly appreciated. During the install I had a couple concerns and they were addressed right away. I would use them again.

I spent a significant amount of time researching roofing companies before choosing Interstate. I read reviews, checked BBB, Oregon CCB, talked to neighbors and friends and basically did everything I could to make a good choice. There are a lot of contractors who talk a good line but don't do good work, and even though they may offer a great warranty, if they go out of business, there is no warranty! So, I wanted an established company that had a solid history.

I eventually got four bids; Interstate's price was about in the middle, but even more than the money, I wanted honesty and quality. I was very impressed with the employee who came out to give me a bid. He was the only one who spent significant time inspecting my roof (no easy task). After that, he sat down with me and thoroughly explained the bid and the process the company would use.

I was very worried about potential damage to my deck if tiles were thrown on it -- he explained how they would cover it with plywood and protect it. As a woman, I appreciated that he spoke directly without talking down to me. He answered all my questions that day and was available later as well. Interstate is organized! They called me well in advance and worked with my schedule; they sent out a dropbox ahead of the work and once they were here, things went very smoothly.

The crew worked long hours and did indeed protect my deck. Besides the roofers, they send out a project manager who checks on the progress during and after all the work is done. Once they were finished, the clean-up was so extensive I couldn't even tell anyone had been here! And even though it has nothing to do with the quality of work, I so appreciated how NICE everyone was!

I recommended my sister hire Interstate for her roof, and her experiences were just like mine. Bottom line, Interstate is honest, conscientious, thorough, and a pleasure to work with!

So far, service has been poor (residential prospective customer who'd been told many good things). Estimator came quickly, but didn't ever get an estimate back to me. I emailed him off of his business card a week later, but didn't get a reply. Now 2 weeks later, I called the office, and the nice person that answered said I needed to leave him a voicemail.

No apology about the delay/inconvenience on the part of the company, just an apology that she herself couldn't do anything about it, that the reps take care of proposals. Finally, in a bit of an exasperated tone I said, "Am I really expected to chase your rep down for a quote?" and she agreed to leave the rep a voicemail. I hope the owners read this and address the service issue and encourage their employees to "make things right" versus place the burden on the prospective customer. It's been over 2 weeks so feels like Interstate's rep doesn't want my business. He'd actually said that he would bring by the proposal in person/drop it off.

There must be no tracking of # estimates gone out on v/ # proposals submitted which leaves me wondering how this organization profits if the reps have time to waste like that. Perhaps they just need to hit a target number and smaller homes aren't worth their while so they don't bother estimating them.

Don't know about their roofing but a driver in a company truck was driving like a maniac with road rage flashing lights and honking his horn while speeding! Won't use them ever!

They do terrific work, quick to respond and they really know their business.

Interstate Roofing takes pride in their work and the new roof looks very sharp! The salesman was very knowledgeable when it came to us asking many questions about such a large project. I was highly impressed with how clean and tidy they kept things after they were done each day, it was hard to tell a construction crew was here working! It just made sense to choose them.

If you have a serious leak, don't call this company or do not call them at all. No reliance whatsoever. Called them on Monday to request a leak repair job. Got quoted potential costs and had to give them a credit card #. Repair job was scheduled for Thursday. Waited all day, no phone call, nothing. Called Heidi, the Receptionist, at 3:00 to see if they were still coming, was told that the repair people would call.

No call! The following day, Friday, I was hoping someone would call to apologize and reschedule. Nothing! Today is Tuesday and still nothing I had been with this company more than 30 years when their father was the President. Integrity, Reliance and Great Customer Service were his mottos. Things got done on time as promised. Now that he is no longer in charge, his children, daughter (CEO) and son are making him proud?. No Integrity, No Reliance, No Customer Service. Stay away from these people.

The superintendent and crew were great! They kept us informed, cleaned up every night and thanked us for choosing Interstate. They genuinely cared about their workmanshipand it shows. We would recommend Interstate Roofing to anyone who wants a quality roofing job done right.

This company helped fix our problem and was honest about the real problem and gave us options for how to fix it immediately while providing options for repairs in the future.

Their bid was extremely competitive, their work very prompt and professional, and everything clean afterwards. They added some new vents where needed and I even have gutter guards. I will definitely recommend Interstate Roofing to my friends, family, neighbors and everyone else! Great job!

We got three bids for a new roof & gutters. Interstate was the only one that sent an estimator out Ronnie, walked the roof and meet with us, answered all our questions and show us sample materials. One of the other companies we call the creepy company isn't even licensed in the state and uses subcontractors.

I was most impressed with the presentation of the work your company would do by the representative bidding the job. He was prepared, had a folder of information and a quote with everything explained to us. We will recommend Interstate Roofing!

They didn't show the first visit (too busy) called after four hour window to say didn't make it. Second visit showed up, on time and courteous, nice guys. Problem was their fix didn't stop the leak. They state they don't guarantee their work and would charge to come out and look again. (within one month of repair) Not sure if this is standard in industry.

I would never use this company again. All the reviews are spot on! Terrible customer service. I'm surprised their doors are still open.

Interstate replaced our steep, complicated roof including 2 cupolas and a gazebo. It was difficult and involved working with the carpenter who was replacing the rotten cupolas. The foreman, Antonio, was awesome and always helpful and available.

This company was fantastic to work with, from the sales person that came out for the quote, to the office staff, to the crews here on site. They were very up front and service oriented, and presented high quality work with lots of experience behind it.

We had a unique situation with Interstate - we bought a new house, with the seller paying for a new roof prior to closing. Interstate was their selected contractor. Despite not being the official "client, " I was able to correspond with the project manager during the re-roofing process, and he confirmed for me that he would be able to accommodate a few small requests I had. However, upon closing, we discovered that those commitments had not been met.

When I called Interstate to discuss the project, a separate project manager was extremely disrespectful, insulted our realtor, and then hung up on us. However, after complaints from both our realtor and me, Shelley, Interstate's president, contacted me and was extremely apologetic. She addressed my concerns over the phone, explained what could and couldn't be done from a safety perspective, and offered to replace additional gutters beyond the initial scope of work to resolve some of our concerns.

We have only lived in the house for a month, but thus far I have no complaints about the quality of work - have not observed any leaks or other issues. The workers also did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. Yes, we had a problem with their customer service, but I was very impressed with the way it was professionally resolved. 4 stars.

BUYER BEWARE! When you sign their contract you are giving them permission to charge anything extra, without your permission, after the job. Their contact also waives them of all liability for most things.

January 2013 we had Interstate Roofing put a new roof on our home. We liked their work so well that when we built our shop this January 2015 we had them put a new roof on it as well. Interstate Roofing is professional, timely, and they do the job right.
