I highly recommend Vista fence! I needed parts for a small job and the team went the extra mile to accommodate my needs. Every other place I called told me right away "4 months leadtime" and wouldn't even try. Vista fence went searching through their inventory and even picked up single pieces from other places to make it work within 5 days! Highly recommended!

This business gave me an outrageous quote for a work project that in reality only cost a third of what they wanted to charge me and they also wanted to make me wait until the end of the summer for them to consider a start date for the project.fortunately I found someone to accomplish the project without overcharging me and a much shorter window for getting started

Vista came out for an estimate 3 months ago, which we never received. I asked the associate how they handled damages that they might cause to sprinkler systems, etc. The answer, and get this, was that if they caused any damage, they would repair it FOR A FEE. Okay. I know that business is very good for fencing companies right now, but this will not last forever. It is your reputation and how you treat customers during the good times that will carry you through the bad.

I want to give them 1/2 star. They installed our fence about 14 years ago. We've not had any problems and it still looks fairly new. Fast forward to two years ago 2019. Call them to come bid the other side with a matching vinyl fence this one longer than the last. They came to bid on the job. The bid was NEVER provided. I called and called and called leaving perhaps 6 messages and no one ever called me back. EVER Yesterday, call the company again, spoke with a gal that was super nice and friendly.
She said she'd have someone call me back right away (that was Thursday). Today, 1:10 in the afternoon and no one has contacted me. I've talked with other contractors since I've received 3 bids within the same timeframe. This is a $9k job ~ wouldn't you think they are jumping to do the work? NOPE Can't recommend them, do not use them.
The gals at the office are super nice but whoever is in charge of the bids SUCKS! Incredibly, I tried again because of their previous work ~ what a fool. I'm too loyal. Certainly not the way to run a business. Candice M. in Vista

I had Vista Fence install a fairly simple wood patio fence at my townhome 5 years ago. At the time, I was confident and felt good about the work that they did and believed them when they said the fence would last for twenty five years. Well, fast forward 5 years and two of the concrete post footings are crumbling like they were set in plaster rather than concrete.
The fence has become wobbly and unsecured in those areas. I called to see about repairs. Everyone was very nice on the phone, however, they couldn't believe that their work might be substandard and gave me several excuses as to causes for degrading concrete rather than maybe it was an inferior concrete mixture or secured improperly for the environment in these spots.
I relied on them to be the experts for a secure fence in common situations, so sounds very fishy to me especially when most of the other post footings are just fine. The bottom line is they don't do any repairs for under $1200.00 (the original fence was $1600!). I didn't expect repairs to be free, but $1200 for repairs on their own work seems outlandish.
I was told I'd be better off calling a handyman or maybe one of their workers might consider it as a side job. They didn't offer to come look at it. I'd be leery of using them again and feel like they don't care about their work or repeat customers after the 1 year warranty has passed.

So I would tell you my experience had been good, but No. so this company is installing all new vinyl fences in the gated community where we live. So last year before this Covid we got a quote for 2 gates. Then afterwards I made 2 additional calls to see when the work could be done and never got a call back. So when I seen work being done in the neighborhood again I called and the lady even verified my information and previous calls and the quote.
So to this date I am still waiting. So I would tell you the customer service is severely lacking. I would not recommend this company simply because of the lack of service. Guess I will continue to look.

Jaime was our estimator and project manager. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and flexible. The crew that installed the fencing were all super friendly and did a fantastic job. Helen who worked in the office was also very helpful. I enjoyed working with both of them. They're super busy right now, so have a little patience with the potential schedule.

Horrible communication. Two different guys estimating job then passing off work. Couldn't get an email back from estimator to give them credit card info to book job. So called left message with office with no call back. Called back again to speak with someone that came off very rude with zero customer service skills. Told her I was waiting for the estimate for the automatic gate as well and she said we don't do those when I had two guys from Vista Fence here that measured and said they would send me estimate for it?! Very frustrating and a waste of so much time.

Vista Fence installed an Aluminum fence with two gates on the back of my property. The whole experience was great from start to finish. They quoted a competitive price, advised a delivery date for the material and arrived right on time for installation. The installers were professional and obviously meticulous about the quality of their work. End result - the fence far exceeds my expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Vista Fence!

Forget masks! In and out in 2 days. They broke sprinkler pipe in 3 places. The worst is they also damaged the sprinkler control cable! That means re-wire entire 100ft requiring trenching entire length! When I called the supervisor he reminded me to read the contract. In short they are not responsible for damaged pipes or lines or anything! Although, I could have chosen for them to repair the damage at $100.00 an hour. The cost to repair will approach the cost of the fence. Do not trust their "don't worry we do this everyday " bullshit! Sincerely, Screwed

Just had our new vinyl fence installed and we love it! Jake was our main contact, he provided us with all the information we needed to get HOA approval, was there at the start of the job and checked in mid day. The installers Fernando and Gilbert were hard working, professional, and worked with us thru a few unexpected changes that arose during install. They cleaned up afterwards, were respectful of our property, communicative and super to work with. Thank you Vista fence, it was a real pleasure to work with you!

We love our new fence! It turned out beautiful. Gerardo and Fernando the two installers spent extra time working out the custom details and educating me along the way on the end results. An absolute unexpected and generous experience. Jake worked his magic with accommodating an early install request. It's service like this that will keep me being a repeat customer. Thank You Vista Fence!

My husband and I had a sort of quirky need for modified fencing to prevent snakes. It was quirky because we needed to enclose an area that didn't already have a fence and we really did not want to ruin the air flow through the area and we needed to do something acceptable to our HOA. Of all the contractors we spoke with, Jaime, at Vista Fence, actually listened to what we were looking for and came up with a solution. He honored his time commitments and was very responsive.

LOVE MY NEW WHITE VINYL FENCE! I'm so happy with the beautiful 6' privacy vinyl fence installed by Vista Fence Company. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Jake was the estimator and the foreman. He and the crew always arrived right on time. Jake was always willing and quick to address any questions or concerns I might have. He was always very pleasant to talk to and so was Hellen in the office.
The installers were great working hard to complete a job well done. I definitely would recommend them to any of my family members or friends. Thanks Vista Fence! It was a pleasure doing business with you.

We have lived in Carlsbad for 33 years. I trust Vista Fence. Years ago VISTA FENCE did our yard and our two neighbors so we would all match with a vinyl see-through fence. They were professional and did ALL their contracts to a TEE! It is nice to have a good company still in business. After about 7 years some workmen broke the fence and Vista Fence quickly ordered the replacement parts at their cost. This is my KIND of PEOPLE!

I had a representative come out to quote two good-sized areas of my yard with different types and styles of fencing. After three follow-up phone calls and one email, still no professional courtesy from this company to let me know that they want my business. I have no confidence at this point and if I did get an amazing bid from it's hard to trust them that they would provide quality work or follow through on what they promised.

I couldn't even get the company to give me a bid. I'm not one who would really ever spend my time writing a bad review. I felt compelled to based off of this lousy experience. I have a 1/4 acre unfenced property in Vista. We are in the market to have a nice vinyl fence installed (about 500-600 feet). It's a pretty big job. Arranging for an estimator to come out wasn't a problem at all.
It took a couple of days, which was very reasonable. The guy who showed up though, gave a amateur feel to the process. He came in what looked to be his own personal car. He was limping very badly as if he had either been in a really bad accident, or he was disabled. It caused me to keep asking him if he was going to be ok to walk around my property to take measurements since there are some pretty steep slopes.
He said he was fine and he'd eyeball most of the measurements with a tool he had. He was there about 20 min total and told me he'd have the bid to me within a couple of days. One week passed, and I had received nothing. It wasn't a huge concern, as we are a couple of months out from actually getting the work done. A second week passed, and I finally called Vista Fence Co to find out what was going on.
I spoke to a gentleman on the phone towards the end of the work day. I was just trying to get a straight answer as to why I hadn't received my bid yet, and to be honest, it sounded like I was talking to the guy that came out to take the measurements, but I didn't call him out on it. He said I'd have the bid by the next day, but never gave me a reason why I hadn't received it. 4 more days passed and I received nothing.
I called in to speak to the owner. They said he had just stepped out and offered to give me his voicemail. I left him a message that was definitely not angry or rude. I simply told him that as an owner, he may want to understand the experience I was having. I told him I'd like a call back to discuss, and I promised I wasn't going to yell at him. I was just simply baffled at the lack of importance I felt. Well.
It's been 5-6 days since I left that message. No return of my call. I guess the culture of the company starts with the leader. My experience makes more sense now. Weird thing is, I know I'm looking at close to $15-20k to fence my property. I'm shocked that isn't a big enough job for them to care. Alpine Fence, here I come.

Called to try to get an estimate, was treated VERY poorly on the phone. Then was told that they can't give me an estimate. What? Really? When I told her "I guess I'll take my business elsewhere " I was told "we don't need your business" And there you have it.good luck with these people. Not recommended

This company recently installed a fence at my house. I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with their service and installation. The fence was to be installed on top of a retaining wall. The posts were installed adjacent to the retaining wall and the bottom of the fence was raised a foot up from the soil level. The finished product is an eye sore at best.
In addition to this, the spoils from the footings for the fence were left in place. When I made the request of the project manager/estimator to simply remove the spoils this was denied. I then requested a credit so I could hire someone willing to do it. This was also denied. Being a project manager in the construction industry myself, I feel that this company's performance on my fence project and response to my minor request to remove spoils is abhorrent.
I just mailed my check for the remaining balance in full and on time simply because being in this industry I understand the importance of cash flows and timely payments-and its effect it can have on the people actually performing the work and their families-but please rest assured that not only will I not recommend this company to any of my friends or associates, I will also never use them on any of the commercial work I perform throughout the county

I wish I had a time machine and could go back and tell myself not to hire these guys! The problem is; the fence is already installed, it's not coming out now. I chose Vista Fence because of the good reviews here on Yelp. I feel especially bad that it was my decision to choose them over the other quotes we collected. It's even caused conflict between neighbors.
We were looking for a "Picture Frame" fence with metal postmaster posts. Initially, I felt confidence about choosing them because my interaction with the representative that gave the quote was good. I thought I was hearing things that made sense? I'm a builder/cabinet maker/wood Turner and I work with wood all day so I have a pretty good idea how a fence should be built.
I myself, have built wood fences/gates before. When the scheduled day rolled around. I was sick at home so, inadvertently got a front row seat to watch them build my fence through the window. It's a good thing I did because I caught a glimpse of the (in my opinion) poor construction that went into making my fence. Fence posts went in below the grade of the dirt (which is considered by others in the fence industry to be incorrect installation of metal posts.). Somehow, measurements were taken/recorded incorrectly and the height of the fence was being installed at the wrong height to tie into the existing fences.
I was able to negotiate a solution to that issue at the expense of compromises to the overall quality in other areas. Boards that were ordered for the vertical elements of the fence were too short to span from the top to the bottom of the framework. I tried to explain that this wasn't satisfactory but was only given excuses as to this wouldn't compromise the overall life of the fence (which I find arguable). Ultimately, a strip of moulding was added to obscure vacant spaces that (in my opinion) should be inhabited by solid wood.
The moulding is part of the Picture Frame design but, the 1-2" gaps/missing wood underneath isn't? When everything was near to finish; I also found numerous issues with the overall fit and finish of the fence that needed be resolved with Jake, the owner. Some things like: cracked/crocked boards, gaps, nails sticking out, improper cuts and overall sloppy appearance.
It took several attempts but he got the most cosmetic items fixed and gave a discount. As I said before, what else could we do? It's not coming out now. Bottom Line. If you're looking for a hassle-free job that doesn't need to be micromanaged, you might want to collect more quotes before you decide.

Thanks so much for fixing our broken magnetic lock. We really appreciate your extra effort in getting the lock replaced. Your customer service is truly unbeatable. We have a rental property that will be needing fence replacement within a few years, so you will be hearing from us again. Thanks again for your great service!

This company deserves zero stars Vista Fence came out to look at a job we need done. It's going to be a sizable job, with two phases, replacing all the fencing on our property. They walked the property, measured and we discussed the job in detail. Their estimator said, "we will have the quote for you in a couple weeks because I have to contact our suppliers and I will email you some information on the type of fencing as soon as I get back to the office" That was over a month ago.
I have heard nothing from them. I called their office twice last week and was told he would call me right away and that he had my paperwork on his desk. I also left a message on the estimator's personal voice mail. Nothing! No response from them at all. Either Vista Fence is so busy they don't need our business or they run their business very poorly and the owners need to take a good look at their staff.

We had Vista Fence install a "good neighbor" fence between our yard and the neighbor's yard. It was a $3600 fence for just one side of the yard. Within two months one of the posts has bent over two inches out of plumb. This fence is in serious structural failure. We notified Vista Fence and they told us that they are not responsible for warping. Excuse me but in two months a post fails? This is inexcusable, they told us we should have bought a vinyl fence. Please save yourself grief, DO NOT hire Vista Fence for anything.

Thank you for a job well done. We have been most pleased with the entire experience with Vista Fence, from the estimate through construction completion. Dave came to estimate our job not once, but twice making sure all our needs were met. The work crew arrived on time, was most knowledgeable and made sure all of my questions were answered thoroughly.
