Fence Plus

Bill is honest, friendly and great at describing options and solutions. He even suggested that a large section of our side fence could be power washed rather than replaced. We decided to replace but Bill's integrity was established. Bill solved some design challenges and his crew put in almost 100' of cedar fencing including an open design facing a green belt, a "good neighbor" side fence and a beautiful new front gate. Can't say enough good things about Bill and his crew. The price was great, the installation was quick and the results were phenomenal! I would highly recommend.

It's hard to describe the joy I feel looking out my windows to the new fence that is now on much of the perimeter of our home. Bill and Rich are an excellent team beginning with the initial stages of determining wood type, fence type, finishings, measurements, etc. At every stage from the preliminaries of the estimate to the end of the project, explanations were clear and all questions (and I had a lot!) were answered with kindness, patience, and respect.

All appointments were kept on time and even if there was as little as a 5-minute delay then Bill made sure to call and let me know. The fence itself - the joy mentioned at the beginning of my review - is beautifully done and looks better than I could have even dreamed. Whenever there was something in doubt, Bill and his crew consulted me to ensure that I was in the decision-making process, and aware of all details that could affect the finished product (something that I think sets them apart from other contractors). HIGHLY RECOMMEND, even if you have to wait for the project to start (people who know quality are willing to wait for it)!

Highly recommend. Was a great experience from Rich coming out for the quote to Bill and the crew building our custom fence. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and built us exactly what we imagined! They go above and beyond to make sure you get a quality fence and the design you want. They are busy but we always felt finishing out project was a priority. They are worth the wait!

I can not say enough nice things about Bill! He not only does incredible work for an amazing price but he is also super friendly, honest and responds quickly. I hired him to complete a vinyl fence in 2018 and he did such a wonderful job I asked him to help me with another project. He is booked out a bit but worth the wait- I can not recommend him enough!

Lousy service! The sale request 44b3494e is a bit of the joke because it seems that they haven't seen my request yet. See attached file: "You have always said they don't know me." Can you read it? I'm very disappointed with how you conduct your service to my needs. All you say is that please go to the Internet to post the estimate for my fence last January 2021, and then whenever I reach out to you and you always said you don't know me and what I FILLED OUT THE INFORMATION is why you can't follow up with this one.

The last time I chatted with the owner of this company and he said he will email me back to see what I can do with the neighbor, but I have not heard anything from him yet. The result is that I give up on you and I will have to start all over again to find a better luck for me.

I'm not the one to write reviews but I hope this post can help somebody decide which company to go for if they need fence work done. I recently had my fence replaced by Bill, Richard and their crew. From the moment I got on the phone with Richard, I felt at ease after getting so much run around from other companies. Bill came out to inspect and addressed all the issues that I was worried.

Once the work started, they were punctual, professional, considerate and efficient. I am so happy with their work. The vinyl fence that they built looks beautiful and it's exactly what I envisioned. Thank you, Fence Plus!

They did a GREAT job putting in a vinyl fence and two gates on our Oceanside property. One of the fence sides is shared with a neighbor. They negotiated the price for the neighbor's portion and handled their payment. The company has also been very prompt and attentive to requests to adjust a gate that needed an alignment adjustment. I reached out to Fence Plus to receive a walk through quote for a new side fence installation. Fence Plus uses a neat online quoting tool to get you in the ballpark for pricing. Rich stopped by to answer any questions and go over the details of the job--even offered suggestions to save us cost by addressing several options that Rich provided to us.

After receiving their reasonable quote for installation, we decided to go ahead and book the job--and we are so glad we did! Bill and his crew worked very efficiently, removing our old fencing and installing new steel posts and a beautiful cedar fence with gates. Bill had some extra room in his haul-away and even offered to take a few items on the side of our house at no extra cost!

We also appreciated the small details, such as installing gate foot stops to hold the gates open which was not added to the invoice. Most importantly, though, was the quality of the installation and one that my wife and I are very pleased with. I've had several contractors comment on the professional job Fence Plus provided to us, too.

Very friendly, professional service. They provide great service with quality work at reasonable prices. They worked with my tight timeline considering I was in the middle of a pool build and needed a fence on time for final inspection of the pool. They worked well with and around my pool contractor. Fence Plus did a fantastic job of installing a vinyl fence at my Encinitas residence. All milestone dates were met on time, the fence quality is top notch and the workmanship was excellent. I can't imagine having a better contracting experience than what Fence Plus provided.

We have a large yard and three dogs. We wanted a secure fence around the property, a combo of horizontal redwood and black chain link. We reached out to four different companies. Rich and Bill were, by far, the most professional and we are very happy with their crew, their work ethic and their results. We had a couple of detailed conversations with Rich before we even chose them.

When he and Bill came out to view the potential job, they were both smart, knowledgeable and offered options to save money. Bill worked alongside his crew and/or checked in with us on progress. Rich from Fence Plus came over to look at our fence project and we walked him through our plans to replace our entire fence (~300') and 3 gates. We had suspected that the fence was old and in need of repair / replacement. After walking the property and inspecting the fence and gates Rich asked a simple question "why are you replacing this fence and gates". Turns out we only need to replace 45' of fencing and power wash / stain the rest. This will save us a lot of money and we will have a great looking fence for the foreseeable future. Rich and Fence Plus are honest and customer obsessed. Highly recommended.

Bill and Rich are great, more than fair, and very responsive. Our back fence is at the top of a very steep hill. Rich walked me through all options and prices. They gave me an estimate then scheduled a time to come look at the project. We revised the estimate based on them seeing the actual situation. The price is really an ala carte menu which is very clear and helpful since there are so many options.

We ended up with a per foot price plus individual costs like haul away old fence, remove foliage. I could tailor the cost based on height, material, etc. We set a date for the job. It had to be revised due to heavy rain and Rich was quick to call and let me know. A week before: Bill called to confirm everything. I even made changes at that point. The estimate was changed accordingly.

Day of: Bill was onsite directing his workers. He called me from the top of the hill with a question about a large tree that was in the way. (at the last minute I had raised the height of the fence and now the tree hit the top.) I made a decision and the work continued. Day after: Rich sent me the final invoice. Bill texted to see if I was completely satisfied. I was and I am.

My husband reached out to FencePlus because we needed a small fence/gate added to our backyard for our dog. He first spoke with Rich, who hooked him up with a quote and set him up with his partner Bill. They were nice enough to squeeze us in soon after we spoke with them. We weren't sure what we wanted, but my husband discussed it with him and he took his recommendation. The fence came out flawless. It's just what we needed and it looks great. The whole situation was stress free and professional. A+ 10/10 thank you!

Bill has been building fences longer than I've been alive and it shows in his quality! I've been painting fences for 18 years (full disclosure, Bill helped me get started at 15 years old). I've become quite the fence critique over the years and Bill is the only fence contractor to crown the cement posts so they don't rot. This and many other details that he puts into his fences makes him the best fence contractor in the county. He is also one of the nicest guys you will ever work with. You will enjoy a great new fence and make a good friend when hiring Bill.

I love my new fence! They work efficiently they work fast the workers are very courteous very nice. Demolition, haul away and new fences up in two day. They left my yard neat and clean. They were considerate to the fact that I have two dogs. I recommend Fence Plus they do great work!

We needed to replace an old broken fence on one side of our yard, so we did research on many different fence companies. Based on good reviews, timely and professional communication, and a fair estimate we decided to have Fence Plus do our project. Rich handles the estimate and the project date through phone/email/text communications. He was always polite, quick to respond to our questions, and helped facilitate our fence job.

Bill is the owner and very experienced with building fences and helpful with offering ideas that would make the gate stand out nicely giving us great curb appeal. His crew were nice, quiet, and cleaned up every day and at the end of the job. I now have a beautiful redwood fence with a gorgeous gate and pergola with attractive black cast iron accents I purchased from Amazon! So happy I had Fence Plus do our project!

My husband and I worked with Fence Plus to create a gated and fenced area in our front yard. It was a great experience, and the fence and gate turned out so beautifully! We first went online and used their online estimator tool, which was very cool and instantly gave a rough price estimate for us. We then worked with Rich on a more detailed estimate, and for scheduling, AND they came when they promised to do the work!

Every time I called Rich or Bill for something, they knew it was me and knew the details of my project, which made me feel good! Bill is the owner, and was super involved in everything from helping us design the fence and make decisions (we didn't know what we were doing!), to ordering the materials and helping his crew with the build. Bill's crew was also awesome- very nice, did great work and swept up the driveway/walkway each day before they left. It's clear this is a passion for Bill- he is extremely detailed-oriented, and made sure this turned out exactly how we wanted.

He even made our gate self closing (for safety so that our dog couldn't push it open), and came back to add a door stopper for me so I don't have to struggle with the dog/stroller when going in and out! Bill returned after the main construction was finished to check over every detail- he found things we didn't even notice and was at our house putting the final touches on multiple times. Bottom line- these guys are great to work with, have a quality product and really care about doing the right thing. I am so happy with how the project turned out, thank you!

Rich was very professional and responsive, he even answered my initial call on Memorial Weekend. He took time to explain everything in great detail and move around some jobs to schedule me in to finish within 2 weeks. Bill was also very professional and responsive. He came to do the quote on time and met with the neighbors and explain everything. He gave me information about the Ply Gem fence and what work would be performed, and how we would get a professional fence install. They are licensed and bonded and have no complaints on BBB. The fence install went very well and looks great. I highly recommend Fence Plus to anyone.
