I was able to get a hold of the President of the company and he was able to help give a better experience. I was able to communicate directly with him and he fixed some bent bars from the initial installation.

Hi. We used Lifescaping for my mom's fence in Fremont. We got their referral from Home Depot. The only contractor for fencing through Home Depot. So communication is everything in this world. But the office of Lifescaping is lacking in this for sure. They don't talk to eachother, they never follow through, and they know nothing. IF you can get past them, something may get done.

But good luck. Since I'm the "contractor finder" for my 83 year old mom, they decided that they should never follow up with my mom directly, but would send stuff to her address with my name. Stupid. But again nothing we spoke to the office staff about ever got done. Fence: Mom wanted a new no-maintenance fence that looked cool. So I found it at Home Depot. Had to wait for months for it to be in stock due to "covid".

After signing a contract for the fence, I was the one who had to keep checking on availability. I finally found it available again so mom called this company and the female who answered said they don't do those kinds of fences. "HUH". Mind you we had the estimator Ronnie out already and a signed contract. I had to call them and they would have to "get back to mom by end of business day". Not.

Back and forth, back and forth. I had to email Ronnie multiple times. He had to do something at the office end. Turns out the person incharge of the contract was gone. Like not working there. But no one had any idea about anything. To shorten this story up, you can figure out why I complain about the communication. So on top of that, the original person handling it gave mom all incorrect information about how to pay for it and such. (eye roll) Further delays for covid again, blah blah blah They finally say they they will be coming next week, will confirm, no confirmation, .

They did install in one day. Beautiful fence. Everyone loves it. But the guys that installed it, put it up against the gutter drain. Not the house. Stupid right? And the gutter is now crooked. I'm sure Ronnie didn't say "Hey guys, plant that fence right up against a 60 year old gutter drain". The fence material is super. Yay HD. But the rest.?

Will it stand for years to come? Yes. But now I have to figure out what to do with the crooked and blocked gutter downspout. Since removing it will leave a gap between the fence and the house. (eye roll again)

As we did 18 years ago, we contacted Home Depot to replace our backyard fence which had fallen due to heavy winds in the area. Home Depot referred us to Lifescaping. Rather than a simple replacement which would have cost just a few hundred dollars more than our old fence, we decided to go a few grades higher to a privacy fence (over lapping pickets).

Job finished in less than five hours with nothing pre-assembled. Craftsmanship was excellent. Yes there were a few cosmetic issues, but that's on me. If they had addressed those issues, they would have deserved six stars. Shout outs to. - the two installers Juan Carlos and Yurnada (sp?) who worked non-stop to get the job done in six hours (might have taken me a week or more) - the Customer Experience Manager who actually listened. Mediocre work, mediocre quality, were quick in response and scheduled quick, that's the only upside, I wouldn't recommend them, any handyman would do same or better job, maybe their quote is a bit less, so is their work. Lesson learned!

I've never written a bad review before and I honestly hate doing so but I feel like I gave them many opportunities to remedy the situation. About three weeks ago Lifescaping came to our home to give us a bid on a fence project. About a week later they sent over a two page contract with prices. Everything was priced out and clearly written and identified in the contract.

During the call, everything was great. The rep answered all my questions. At the end I told him that I was in a hurry to get the project done as I had painters coming soon. I said I would sign the contract via email if it would speed things up. He said he'd expedite it and send it to us on Saturday to sign via email. Well, apparently he saw my urgency as an opportunity.

He sent the contract but failed to tell me he changed the price. Fortunately, I'm not one to sign something without reading it. I called him on Monday and asked why he had increased the price on the gate and fence. (I didn't appreciate the fact that he didn't even give me heads up that he was changing the contract price. He had every opportunity to do so on Friday during our call but instead changed it on Saturday in the contract without even mentioning it in the email.) Here's what really upset me.

He said he realized he didn't add enough "fat" to my contract. I said what does that mean. He said he needed to make more money on it and needed to "pad" it. I said if that's the case, why didn't he tell me either with a call or an email? Instead he changed it in the contract that all I was supposed to do was sign. We had a fully written contract and we talked about it even on Friday.

All that was left was me signing it. What bothers me is how he went about it. Changing the price and then telling me he needed more "fat". I called the manager Joyce 4 times. Left 4 messages this week asking her to call me back. Not once did she call me. Just beware. Read everything they send you because you don't know if you're the next person and next contract they need to add more "fat" to.

A week and a half ago we had a fence put up in our back yard. We shared this fence with a neighbor, so we did decide to split the cost. The crew showed up bright and early, at 8am and got straight to work. We did have a last minute change, which they were able to factor in to the installation. The fence looks terrific, we're both very happy with how everything went. I'd absolutely hire them again and I've already referred them to my brother who was looking for something similar.

We had a beautiful redwood fence put up, with a wood gate leading to the front of our home. Everyone at Lifescaping did a fantastic job with our recent install. From the quote process, billing, random calls or emails that went their way. I never had any problems. Both the quality of work done by these guys, and the customer service was a 10.

We had a 50' fence replacement done late 2021. I know this review comes a bit overdue, but I wanted to take a minute and share my experience with everyone. Everyone at Lifescaping was very helpful. We're just in love with the new redwood fence and gate that was put up by Lifescaping. They actually helped fix a problem that was done by another fence company in the area. Very well trained and took time to explain things. If you want a quality fence, this is the company to hire.

We had an excellent experience with Lifescaping from start to finish. There are a lot of negative reviews on this Yelp page, which is pretty shocking to me because we experienced exceptional customer service with Lifescaping. We replaced a fence in our backyard. We had our initial consultation, and the fence was installed 2 weeks later. We worked with Ronnie Cabrera-McGee, who was friendly, professional, and very patient with me.

I had a lot of thoughts and questions during the planning phase of the fence project, and Ronnie always answered my calls and returned my emails promptly. We even had a change order that we needed to make after we signed the final agreement, and Ronnie made the process easy and seamless. The day the fence was installed, the workers were confused by the part of contract and said that there were problems with the fence height and the type of gate to install.

I called Ronnie, and he immediately got in touch with the workers and made everything right according to the contract. The fence was installed exactly as planned. There was one issue with the gate and the latch that wasn't able to be installed correctly on the installation date. The workers came back and worked on the gate three separate times to make it right. Luciano and Tumani at Lifescaping Operations were incredibly helpful at organizing the follow up dates and making sure the project was completed correctly until the very end.

I would definitely recommend Lifescaping for anyone looking to install a new fence, and I would highly recommend working with Ronnie, Tumani, and Luciano. The customer service they showed me was incredible.

The fence we had put up looks great. The pricing was reasonable, customer service was just as one would hope. The quality of wood was there. They just finished our project a few days back, and I haven't seen any problem with the quality of work done by these guys. Thank you.

Be. careful with this company. They lack customer service and do not take responsibility for issues they cause. Positives: The fence was completed and looks nice. Negatives: They destroyed my shrubbery and then said that they weren't responsible for it because they needed 2 feet of clearance to do the fence. Well, that would have been true EXCEPT they weren't doing the fence in my front yard- just my neighbors front fence.

Then they destroyed my shed and again said that it wasn't their fault. My shed was in proper working order when I left. Oh, let me clarify a little better. I had left on holiday, and was out of town when I am assuming that they arranged the time and date of replacement with my neighbor- I NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE call asking if it was acceptable to start the project.

So I arrived home to see a new fence, my destroyed shed and my destroyed shrubbery. I called the company and left a voice mail asking to be called back. There was no call. I called again and spoke with a company representative who said that she had emailed me. Never received- but AGAIN, I specifically asked for a phone call. She then said that I needed to email pictures.

I did as requested and received an email saying that they didn't believe that the problems that occurred were their fault. WATCH THEM CLOSELY. BE VIGILANT.Or pick a company that has customer service and cares about customers.

You might wonder like I did, why Lifescaping have so many bad reviews? Are they all reall? Do people like to falsely complain? Well, I found out the hard way that they are true. I will not bore you with all the details since experience may vary, and hopefully you will have better experience, however, I definitely didn't. Yes, they definitely price competitive, and have one of the best prices out there, but be warned.whatever amount you will save by choosing them, you will pay back and sum with your time, frustration, and aggravation!

They rarely return a call back when you have a question, confirmation, or a problem. Hell.they don't even call back when you simply want to pay them and get this over with. They finished the project close to 2.5 months after starting the project. They will not even entertain the notion of a discount for the delay, and aggrevation they will cause you, or your neighbors. Based on all the reviews, there is a high chance it will happen to you as well. Have fun!

Worse company ever. They never call or email back. its been 10 months and my fence still isn't finished. I have 2 different type of fencing surrounding my back yard. The took 7 months and 3 different visits to fix all the split board/rotted/and boards they sawed thru that they installed. No one there communicates or knows what they are doing. Never in my life have a dealt with a company like this. Had days they were suppose to come but never did and never called or when I called they had no answer. Even came by on days they were scheduled and I wasn't home. STAY AWAY!

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT USE. I wish I could comment on the quality of their work, but they never followed through. Chronology 2/25 Signed agreement 3/08 Job scheduled. Did not bring right tools. 3/14 Another Estimator came out. 3/16 Called office and job was not on schedule 3/18 Crew shows up to do job.

I am not at house. No prior confirmation, call, text, or email. Office asked how was Monday? I said 'OK.' Asked to be called to confirm. Again, no call. 3/21 Called office and job was not on schedule. Asked to have the job done TODAY or TOMORROW and that I was gone WED-FRI. "Please call!" Called me back. "How is FRIDAY?" In that case, we can't do it before 3/31 WORST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WIITH IN THE SACRAMENTO AREA.

Lifescaping contractors are a terrible fence company. Do not use their services. I made the mistake and had them install a backyard fence, the completed fence was not straight or level from end to end, a big disappointment. This could have been avoided by using a simple string line or Laser. Reading reviews from numerous Other customers, I found, that Lifescaping has had many bad complaints about them reported to the BBB and the contactor licenceing board, I will also be doing this. JA.

Absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. They called to up/charge the fence installation by $500 because the ground is hard (it's Folsom). I arrived home after work to find I had no water to my house. I called the salesman "William, not a plumber" to ask if they'd broken a pipe. He answered and advised they had. I asked why no one had called, and he had no response.

When I asked if he was going to send someone out to repair it, he advised he wasn't and that he was "not a plumber". When I asked for him to find one, he said, "that's not gonna happen." So, I have a full load of mildewed laundry, no water, and William refused to send anyone out at 5:45. He'd known about the issue for hours because he was sent the picture below but didn't feel as though it was important enough to call me about.

I'd find out in my own, I guess, which is exactly how I found out. When I asked to speak to his boss, he said he'd have him call me. Still no call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'll miss a day's work tomorrow to try to repair their mistake. Their customer service is laughable or at least it would be if it wasn't so incredibly unprofessional. The broken pipe is also located underneath my raised patio. If you're looking for a company with integrity, I'd find another one.

Overall, the fence installation is okay. The posts are solid. The wood quality is not great -- numerous splinters and shaggy sides, which will make painting difficult. But the worst part of the installation is that the installers disconnected our drainage. We have a deco drain next to a retaining wall, which ends near the fence line (about 8 inches away).

It is connected to an underground french drain to our front yard. The connection between the two, which is above ground and visible, was removed by the installation crew. I know they specify they are not responsible for drainage systems, but in this case, they deliberately removed the connection. Our backyard flooded during the heavy rain earlier this year.

I called to ask them to correct this and they refused. Not good customer service. It is going to cost quite a bit to get this done. I don't think this company stands behind its work.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are an absolute joke. They are completely unprofessional and unresponsive. They didn't bother to call after breaking a water line and cutting the main power supply to my house. I found out once I returned home after work to no running water. William told me they broke the pipe but told me he wasn't a plumber and wasn't going to send one out.

When I asked to speak to his boss, he said he'd have him call but no call ever came. This company is unreliable and I would never recommend them. Oh, this after they up-charged me $500 for the ground being harder than expected ("it's in the contract, " said William). Garbage company and garbage customer service.

Critical: Professionalism I had installation before from this company. Now second installation scheduled 01/12 and company never responded back after over two weeks of delay. I left several messages and they did not respond back. Very unprofessional service. When I gave contract, they promised two weeks delivery and it is over a months without any feedback. Our 21 year old redwood fence was in need of replacing. My neighbor used Lifescaping on her other property line fence two years ago. They did good work so we split the cost. The sales rep Curt was punctual and informative. They let us know if they may need to change the schedule due to the rain. Luckily the weather held out and no need to change the schedule, Two workers worked for 2 1/2 days and did an excellent job. We didn't have to pay any money until the fence was done. Very good work at competitive pricing. We're happy customers. Good fences make good neighbors.

The quality of work was top notch, however the coordination and communication was lacking. Twice in a row no showed, when time off work was used.not cool. Once they showed up, I couldn't have been happier with the quality. Quality is hard to find these days and if you are flexible on your install date, then they are worth it.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS. I am currently working with Lifescaping and I CANNOT get a hold of them. My project is weeks delayed, I've sent them thousands of dollars, and I have NO idea when this job will be finished. I'm sitting here with a poorly done, and half finished fence that's sitting in my frontyard as a HUGE blemish to my property. I HOPE AN EXECUTIVE SEES THIS BECAUSE YOU HAVE A VERY ANGRY CUSTOMER RIGHT NOW.

We extended our backyard and needed a new fence. We hired lifescaping and loved the work at first. Then the gate began leaning and I began reaching out for a warranty fix. Initially they agreed, but because of delays and turnover the time frame closed and they were going to charge us! After multiple phone calls they came out to resolve it; however because it was leaning SO long it ultimately caused the post to shift and now that is crooked.

They won't fix this without us paying more. We were being patient and considerate; this company took advantage and is now trying to charge us for a problem they created. It is unfortunate and disappointing. Beware if choosing to work with this company.

First installation: This was the 2nd company we called out to have our fence replaced after panels fell down after a storm. They came out, gave us a a written quote and had us scheduled for 2 months out which is understandable with the craziness everyone in town went through. Had to follow up a couple times on emails I sent but that's the worst. I can say. Guys came out on scheduled date and knocked out the fence in one day! UPDATE: trying to schedule a repair appointment under warranty seems IMPOSSIBLE! Nobody calls you back or emails you! It's like you've been ghosted! I'm so disappointed and furious with the lack of customer service.

Quick with an estimate, workmanship was terrible, half xxxxx and not finished. The best part was the crew hit the 220 wire coming from the electrical sub panel on our neighbors side, when the shot nails (not screws) directly into side of the house without placing a 2" x 4" between the fence and house, which caused a power outage for three days plus days. Fried nails were pulled from the fence upon electrical repair. Neighbors were forced to find an electrician on long hot weekend. Lifescape did nothing to make any of the right, until today, they have threatened us with collection. Company is a total joke, we found them in one of Home Improvement magazines, wish we have looked on Yelp earlier. We will be reporting them to the BBB.

Contacted through home depot services. Gabriel came out and things seemed to go OK. However his "I'll have you an estimate in two business days" is now 10 days. I called lifescaping 3 times asking where is the bid and I am told the same B.S., the estimator will be contacting you. After the 3rd time of getting nowhere I gave the company fair warning that I would be using social media to voice my complaints and that didn't seem to even concern them.

And of course now reading all the horrific reviews I consider myself lucky. Interesting when you get the referral through home depot you can't actually speak to anyone at home depot to complain.they route the number back to lifescaping. Lucky I found out now how bad this company is.

Originally got a quote in May and was told install would be several weeks away due to the amount of jobs already booked. Not a problem as long as I was kept in the loop. Install finally happened in August after considerable time trying to contact our sales rep. The fence looked great immediately after installation, however, just days later problems started to occur.

Many of the boards began pulling away from the stingers. When I looked at the fencing, many of the nails simply missed the stringers and were only held up because of the closeness of the boards. The contractor also used very green wood which has led to large gaps opening up in the fence as well as warping of almost all the boards. I attempted to contact the representative, but a return email took several weeks.

Here we are in late October, and I'm still getting the runaround from Lifescaping. I have sent email and pictures to them and explained my issues with very limited response. I will update this review as the repair work begins to happen. But, at this time, I would suggest not having a fence built by this company. And if you do, have them guarantee that only dried wood will be used. I have a ten year old fence that is straighter and more private than this new one.

I had such a great experience from the get go. Anytime I would call in, or email with concerns, they were quick in getting back to me. The crew that came out, got things done pretty quick. The entire project only took 3 days. They cleared everything and picked up after themselves. We're very happy with how everything turned out. Can't say thank you enough.

Overall, the experience was great! I was very impressed with the quality of work they put into our home. They were quick to come out and get us quoted. They started the project when they said they would, and tore down a previous fence that was up on the property. Turned out better than I could have hoped. I'm very satisfied with the attention to detail they put into this fence.

It's only fair that I update this review, Lifescaping is working towards resolving this issue. I only wished I didn't have to resort to providing a bad review, before they even bothered to contact me. The overall fence quality for the backyard is of high quality, including labor.

They did a beautiful transformation to our new home. We recently had some landscaping done, but then wanted a new fence. We did have a previously fence that was up, but it had to of been decades old. They were quick to get that removed, and got our new fence up quick. They cleaned up their entire mess, and it just made a world of a difference. Highly recommend them.

I called around to get a few quotes for a new fence we wanted installed. After calling around, we decided to go with Lifescaping. They were able to tear down our old fence, and get the new one up within two days! The fence is gorgeous! We've received a lot of compliments from a few people and it's only been a week. Great service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Signed a contract in April, had a date of June and got canceled the day of. They never called to let us know. We called them and found out. Then they rescheduled, and again never called when the day of came around and called them to ask what was happening. They claimed they had another job, well why schedule the same day? Now they've never rescheduled nor answered our call. Don't use this company. Update: Finally got the work done, but the quality is not good.

Multiple boards are not attached. They literally put nails through that do not even go through the wood piece behind it. Or no nails at all in another piece. Many boards have a bowing happening already. The gate latch fell off after first use, and they have yet to contact us back to come fix it all. Mind you, have called at least 10 times to speak to someone.

Either they answer and say they are getting people scheduled and will call back or they don't answer at all. Have left messages and nothing. They have the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Spend your money elsewhere. Because they will gladly take your money, get the job done whenever they feel like it, have horrible customer service and do a awful job. Just don't do it.

I was so impressed by this company! Leigh came to my property to give me a quote and answered all of my questions. We received a call the day before our appointment letting us know when the installation would begin, and Marcos and Beto arrived right on time. They did a fantastic job installing a wrought iron fence on our property, which has a pretty steep slope.

They were incredibly nice and professional, and they were very accommodating to a couple of last minute changes we wanted to make to the original plan. It turned out better than I could've hoped. Thank you!

They are great with public lip-service. Just sort the reviews by "Newest First" to see all the consecutive 1-star reviews. I don't know what happened to this company but they've gone downhill in a hurry.

Lifescaping installed my fence on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. My French drain is gone! There was a French drain cover and the installers must have ground it up or filled it up with dirt. I have contacted the company several times. You have to leave a message even if you press the prompt for their call center. You won't be able to speak with alive person. Cari, from Accounting, returned my call and stated that the company is not liable for any damages.

I requested that someone from the company come to my house to look at where the French drain cover was located since I have a picture of it before the fence installation. I have not been contacted.

On April 22nd we were on their schedule to have our fence replaced on June 14th! Then it got postponed until June 22nd tomorrow. Just got a call from them 5:30pm the day before that they need to postpone again and couldn't provide a reschedule date "they'll call us when they know". If I provided this type of customer service at my work I would be out of a job.

I rent so have no control over who gets the work. Stay tuned I'll provide updates on this company. We'll if they ever show up. Update! Just got a VM that they will call me at the end of the week with a new date. Stay tuned! Update! They showed up Thursday with the wrong contract and had to have the straighten that out. They started working and said they would be done in two days!

There is only two of them I don't even do fences and knew that wasn't doable. So fast forward to right now 5:15pm on a Friday and 2/3 of the fence is finished. The worker said he had to start another job tomorrow and would come back in the afternoon to finish I DON'T BELIEVE HIM! Oh and it would only be him he has nobody to help him tomorrow.

Stay tuned for another update! Final Update: The one worker did return yesterday and finished the job. The fence turned out really good and he did a good job of cleaning up. In the end this worker who spoke very little English did a better job at everything including communication than anyone else at this company. I encouraged him to start his own fencing company and leave this one.

Would I ever recommend this company? Hell No! I think it's Brandon that's is the owner or who responds to these posts. Your workers are over worked and under staffed! Your office has 0 communication skills. I'm shocked you are still in business! Hope this helps and good luck

Worst communication ever, cut through a sprinkler line then turn off my water so I didn't find it until the next day only to find out they're not responsible for their incompetence.

We recently had a fence completed by Lifescaping, and honestly, we were VERY nervous given all the negative feedback on their Yelp page. However Nick, who came out to provide a quote was on-time, friendly, and able to quickly provide a quote to us the same day. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable about what he was talking about.

After making payment, we were able to schedule an appointment for later that week. The 3-man crew showed up within the allocated time window, and despite the minor drizzle and cold winds that started up halfway through the day, was able to get our entire 120' fence completed the same day. The workmanship is great, and the fence is level all the way down (something I could not say the same about the fence surrounding the other two sides of our property which was completed by two different contractors).

In addition, we were pleasantly surprised to see that they used thick, redwood planks instead of cheap, pine planks. The workers were friendly, and made sure to clean up before they left. And the cost for the contract with an inclusion of a Home Depot 10% discount was definitely cheaper than many of their competitors. Although we hope that we do not have to replace anymore of our fences for MANY MANY years to come, we will definitely be recommending Lifescaping to all of our friends and family!

I had contacted a few fencing companies and received quotes for replacement redwood board-on-board. All were in the same range of cost per linear foot but the quality of examples in my neighborhood led me to select Lifescaping Outdoors over the others. The estimator (Ray Borg) was very patient with me as I gathered approval from all the adjoining neighbors.

On Wednesday, June 22, two of your men installed a fence. They arrived around 10:30 am and left around 6:30 pm. The installation was very difficult due to the slope of the ground, lots of loose dirt, one gate needing to be placed in front of the previous gate, height of board discrepancy due to concrete floor with a step and no handle for one gate.

Lifescaping Outdoors replaced our redwood fence and repaired our trellis. Adrian Borg came out and gave us a quote. He had some great suggestions for improving functionality of the gates. I received a follow up call with an appointment date and time. The crew members were professional, efficient, clean and on time! I have had many nice comments on our fence from our neighbors.

The Lifescaping Outdoors Team just finished installing the wrought iron fence today. They have done a very neat and a professional job and we are very pleased with the result. Adrian, Dave R, and Dave L including the installers Victor and Daniel were patient and understanding in helping us get what we had asked for. I am very happy with their work and would recommend them to others.
