The Fence Dr.

We just had our fence replaced by the team at The Fence Dr. We primarily dealt with Luke. He was quick to reply, communicated very well and followed through on his word and plan. Andres, who seemed to be the install manager, was very personable and helpful. At this point we love our new vinyl fence. I would highly recommend this team and company.

Great company! Very easy to work with and make plans considering costs. So well worth not having the hassle with the dogs and garden. Value received. Chris and helper were wonderful and so considerate. Loved working with them.

WORST COMPANY AND CONSTRUCTION EVER. We had the rebuild the last portion of our fence and gate, along with two other neighbors' complete fence construction. They were very rude about wearing masks, did not want to communicate their plan or timeline with us (a neighbor hired them to repair the fence we shared). They did not follow the design they quoted us on the quote (installed 4x4 cap instead of the 6x6 on the quote to follow HOA guidelines, the latice installed was a good inch larger openings than previously installed, they used wood posts instead of steel) and when we brought all of this up we were met with resistance until they finally agreed to come out and only replace the 4x4 cap but argued about the latice and posts.

We also asked if they could fix the gate that they installed that wouldn't stay open without slamming shut because the post was not plum. When we questioned the plumness of the post they said "it'll never be perfect and it's basically plum". It was obvious to the eye, without a leveler. When they came back out to repair the cap and paint the fence, they left a complete mess and even a more poorly hung gate that wouldn't even close.

Before the installer left, I had to have him wipe and clean all of the hinges because he sloppily painted on them instead of removing them prior to painting and installing after paint was dry. We had them come back out a third time to repair the gate to fix the hinges that were uneven and preventing the gate from staying open without slamming shut, and they left it basically in the same condition.

When I showed the lead the painted ground and planter, he said "ya they should have turned up the soil a bit to hide the paint splatter and not sure what to do about that planter rock. Sorry." Very disappointed and we now have to find and pay another company to repair the horrendous and messy work this company did. Stay away and spare yourself the headache. We have them fair chances to fix their work and redeem themselves but unfortunately they just couldn't.

Fantastic experience with Dan and his team. We have a corner lot that was enclosed by a large area (over 250 linear sq ft) of old, ugly chain link fence covered in ivy. Dan and his crew tore down the old fence and installed our beautiful new vinyl privacy fence and three gates, including clean up, in 2.5 days. Couldn't be happier with our new fence and the quality service.

Also appreciated Dan's responsiveness and flexibility when we had to push out the installation date due to our pool construction running behind schedule. We would not hesitate to recommend Fence Dr. Thanks Dan!

We had a fence installed about 8 months ago. It was supposed to be double sided so my neighbor and us would have no bad side. However we got the back side for all panels and metal bars showing from side. After installed they said it would cost more for them to make same-at least they should have told us they were not following the plan of replacing it as we requested/as it was originally and done good neighborly fence.

Also a gap at my neighbors garden box was not completely fenced but this was later covered by supervisor but it is noticeably different. I'm not super picky in most cases but we are finally getting to paint it and many upper boards not nailed well and I have found a board that was not nailed at all to a surface. If you go with these guys be sure the crew building the fence knows what the person who quoted job agreed to do.

Replaced new fences. Added common boards and brick walls for my garden. Very please with Fence Dr company.

Dan and his team have beyond met my expectations for fencing. I had them fence the front of my home and was so pleased that I had them come back and do additional fencing. I am also having them build a deck in my backyard. I trust them 100%. I found Dr. Fence through a customer at my work who raved about him as well. Thanks Dan!

I had a long common fence with my neighbor that was 50 years old and falling down. Fence Dr. had done some work for the same neighbor before, so we had Dan come out to give an estimate for a vinyl fence. He was very competitive, so I also had him give me an estimate on two more fences with gates on my property. He actually drew out on a piece of paper what he was going to do, and the costs for each fence.

We all agreed on the price and a date to come out. He said it was going to be a 2 day project to get all the items completed (both mine and my neighbors, plus the common fence). When the date arrived, they showed up before 7:30am and worked all day (minus a lunch, of course), not leaving until at least 5pm. They got a lot of it done (demo, prep, pouring concrete and installing posts, etc.) and even were able to install some of the fencing so after they left we could let our dogs out into the back yard without a fear of them leaving our property.

They were here the next morning a little after 7am and had the all the components of the projects completed around 2pm. The fences look great, they cleaned up after themselves, and overall we are very pleased with the result. Thanks Dan!

I just had a new fence installed by Dan and his team. I couldn't be more pleased. My old wood fence was faded and the planks were popping out. They came and in less than a day replaced the old fence and added a gate as well. What an improvement to my house. I highly recommend them.

Before spending your family's hard earned money, trusting this business to stand by their word to install your fence with QUALITY materials and professional installation, and the final product looks like this, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! If your focus was truly on customer satisfaction, you would respond to my complaint. You have my money and I'm NOT SATISFIED.

I had a great experience with Dano and his team. Most reasonably priced, explained every detail, and the finished fence is awesome. Then they did my neighbors yard and without having to they touched up paint on older part of their fence. Highly recommend

I had them come and do my fence along my driveway about 5 months ago. I am not happy with the job at all The boards aren't even attached to the posts in areas. Also when they were attaching the wood fence to the posts the nails aren't even? My husband has done our fences before and there is no comparison on his work and Dan crew. The reason he couldn't do this fence is because he had surgery. I'll stick with my hubby from now on!

Dan was very easy to work with. His crew worked hard all day and cleaned up every evening. They installed vinyl fence along both property lines and 4 gates. They also built a trash enclosure with 2 large gates that contain 3 city containers. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Large fence job. The owner's qoute was reasonable, the installers we're very professional and the clean up was excellent. I'd use them and recommend them in a heart beat.

Dan and his crew are awesome. He gave a very fair quote and then performed the job above and beyond. Showed up when he said he would and got the job done in one day. 270 ft of 3 rail wood fence removed and replaced with 3 rail white vinyl. His crew cleared some brush back so the fence really stands out now and removed all debris very nicely. Couldn't be happier with the work of the Fence Dr.

Wouldn't go anywhere else, great work, easy to deal with, friendly crew, very clean and professional.

What can I say about Dan and his team. First off, I don't write many reviews. Dan came out and gave me a quote. He was on time and kept me posted while on the way to my house. After he left I had a few more companies come out. 1. Fence dr was the best price by far 2. Was honest about start dates 3. Open to my ideas and what I wanted Today his team arrived bright and early.

I was excited and nervous because I did not know if they could do it all in one day (others quoted 3 days). Well, five amazing guys (including the owner Dan) worked all day and were done before dinner. I am so HAPPY! It is beautiful. They even went above and beyond to help my neighbor put in a post. Great job! Affordable price. Replaced new fence and installed retaining brick wall for my garden. Dan is a great and understandable.

We needed to re-fence our side and back yard, 150' of fencing. We decided to go with a tan vinyl fence instead of wood. Called 5 fence companies, 3 came out to measure and provide a quote. When Dan at Fence Dr. came out to measure, he provided a written estimate before leaving our property. Based upon Yelp reviews, his comments on-site regarding how to handle a few problem areas, and his reasonable estimate, we decided to hire the Fence Dr. for our project. 5 weeks later, Dan arrived with a large crew and they completed our job within one day: removed and hauled away the old wooden fence, installed a Ply Gem vinyl fence, cleaned up/leveled the dirt against the new fence in better condition than at the start of the project. If you want his company for your project, just be patient. Call a few times, he is super busy, but you will be happy with the results.

Dan and his crew did a new backyard fence for me and a patio cover, they both look awesome and they were so quick, professional and easy to communicate with on all questions. GREAT JOB!

Dan & his crew did a bang up job! They knocked it out in one day and I'm very happy with the communications and the finished product. They could have cleaned up after themselves a little more but hey, the price was right.

Dan and his team did an amazing job installing a vinyl fence on our property! His workers came in early in the morning, removed the old collapsing wooden fence, and installed 66' of 7' tall privacy fencing plus gates in under 8 hours! They had a great attitude while on the job and cleaned the whole place up when finished, absolutely professional work. Same-day service and for a really fantastic price! We totally recommend the Fence Doctor!

The neighbors around my home (three in all) needed to have fence work done. Most of the work was replacement going from old cedar fencing to vinyl. We had some wood fencing too. We took seven bids from area contractors and The Fence Dr. was almost the lowest of all. We all agreed though that we had a great feeling about Dan (the owner) and decided to use him as our contractor.

The products he used were the same as what the other contractors had bid, but in some areas he did more than what some of the other contractors had included. In the last year or so I've had quite a bit of work done at my home. Of all the contractors I'd say Dan at The Fence Dr. was among the best. I'm not sure at all about the few negative reviews he's received. This was not even close to my experience with Dan and as I previously mentioned he was HIGHLY recommended by other neighbors in the area. Good luck!

The workers are not professionals. They have no respect to your yard. They stepped on your plants, they moved stuff without putting them back. They broke stuff and not telling you instead tried to cover it up. They left a mess in your yard after they're done. I'm not recommending this to anybody.

Today The Fence Dr completed installation of fencing and staining old fencing.and they finished our job in one day. Dan is the owner and is on site to insure that everything is completed as he planned. The crew chief Oscar is amazing and his crew of Andres, Arturo and Eastin are who we all wish were on every one of our household jobs. They are polite, accommodating to endless interruptions, professional and exceptionally experienced at their work. They deliver a beautiful product. I recommend them to everyone!

My neighbors and I interviewed 6 companies, and The Fence Dr. not only had great pricing but returned calls promptly. Dan, the owner, is very professional about getting measurements correct and making sure that we were completely satisfied with the proposal. We were placed on the schedule and his crew showed up early in the morning and completed our fence and gates in one day and the other two neighbors in two days.

His crew is very hard working and did not hesitate to answer any questions during the installation. Dan was on the job site every day which is something that you don't usually find in contractors. He constantly asked questions such as how we wanted the gates to open, in or out, and was able to offer suggestions as to placement of the fencing around obstacles. The fence looks great and as a result other neighbors were asking for quotes. I highly recommend The Fence Dr.

Recently had The Fence Dr. replace the fence at our Encinitas home and just wanted to say that the did a great job, so much so that I was compelled to write this review. Even in dealing with problem, the gate latch was not working correctly three months after the install, so I contacted Dan the owner and within a few days the latch was fixed. Great pricing and great service!

In April 2016, We got several bids to replace our old fence. The fence Dr came in about the same maybe slightly under the others but his good yelp reviews helped make our decision. They were booked out a couple months but they tore down and put up our very long fence and 2 new gates in one day. the fence looked great. The gate was installed the wrong way but the workers came right back and adjusted it to swing out.

The pully handle kept getting stuck so they came back right away to adjust it. Unfortunately the handle to open the gate completely broke this month so Im not sure if it is strong enough for such a large heaving gate. I will contact the Fence Dr to see if they can upgrade / repair it. I still would recommend them even with the gate issue.

Wonderful experience. Dan is so attentive. His crew was professional and self-sufficient. They arrived on time and were done very quickly. I had a 40 linear foot back yard fence put in and the old one removed. They cleaned everything up and left the space immaculate. Cannot recommend them enough. :
