The large majority of our net zero homes have geothermal heat pump systems for their heating and cooling needs. However, due to the reduced price of solar, we have found that it is now more cost effective to install a high efficiency air source heat pump with a little more solar to achieve the same end result: no electric bill.

Since the earlier communication problem, I have been pleased with the service that Native has provided. Fortunately, I've only had to have a technician out once since purchasing our home in 2017. The tech was friendly, professional, and was able to explain the error with the system as well as how he would correct it. Can't tell you how great the savings have been having solar in Texas. My bill is usually $0.00 for 7month out of the year and I've build up credits during those months. I'm currently happy with this company.

I am very pleased with my Native solar array. Native was able to answer all questions and concerns regarding the array, the tax rebates and what to expect after installation. The Native crew was supportive thru the entire process. Jay was able to size the array correctly from looking at my electric bills and I now feed the grid with no elect bill. :D Thanks Native! Deb

Native did a fantastic job with our 21.78 kW SolarEdge system on a mixed-use building in San Marcos. They managed a City rebate for us as well as an USDA REAP Grant which took the financials from very good to great. Very attentive and diligent crews. System is producing just as projected and the monitoring app and website are really helpful. Highly recommended!

I found out about this company through Green Mountain Energy. I am so glad that I did. They were nothing sort of spectacular. They kept me informed every step of the way. The installers did an outstanding job. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did.

I met with Native's renewable energy consultant, Jay Thomas, at my Electrical Cooperative's annual solar tour. The cost and environmental benefits he described made the decision to move forward easy. Native's finance, project design, and installation teams were professional, easy to work with, and explained each step along the way. My 40 solar panel, 12 kW system was activated over a week ago and is working great.

The SolarEdge monitoring portal is a valuable tool that helps evaluate how it's working in real time. Jay has stayed with us through the entire process and plans to help analyze our first electric bill now that it's up and running. I appreciate all their work from beginning to end and highly recommend Native.

Native installed my system about 2 1/2 months ago, They were very helpful and professional throughout the whole process, installation took only1 day and it was up and running. just recently I got my electric bill for the 1st month since the system has been under full production, and it was a negative bill. The power company owes me $110. I highly recommend Native Inc.

We were introduced to Native Solar through our consultant Leslie Libby, when we were shopping several different solar companies around Austin. Once she put us in touch with Valerie, we were welcomed with enthusiasm and a load of information. Valerie was able to work a few different quotes for us that fit within our budget and solar needs. Not only was Native able to offer us the best quote by far, but they also had the most kWh for the price!

We are also in a weird situation being deep in the Hill Country, where we do not have home internet (only cell), but the team was easily able to remedy this so that we can track our solar production. The install crew was very easy to work with and the whole team had great communication. We didn't have to deal with our electricity company either (which I thought would be a big headache), because Native handled all that too. Great job team!

After searching and interviewing about 8 different Solar Installers we settled on Native for our install. They were wonderful. Lots of stuff happened behind the scenes and in an incredibly timely manner. They handled everything for us from permits to working with the electric company. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in going solar. They made the process easy and stress-free and above all the installation is top-notch. I wish them all the best in the future.

They installed a system about 3 years ago through the NRG solar lease. There had been some problems also with installation and phone calls did not cut it and unfortunately leaving a bad review on yelp was the only way I could get their attention. 2 years down and the systems output is way down (since February of 2016). I called NRG which has been trying to get in touch with Native.

Its either NRG or Native that is not responding (NRG blames Native and now they advised me to directly contact Native). I think NRG is correct since after repeated phone calls and voices mails there is no response. Stay away if you can. The install was decent, but there are at least 2 things that are not working 1. The output of the inverter (as indicated by locus monitoring) is about 1/3 of what it is rated to be. 2. An outlet that was installed in case lights go out during the day (to directly get power or use my own backup battery) has never worked and never been fixed. Dont have much hope of fixing this, but hope this review would get their attention

I've had my Solar system a little over 15 months now and I'm completely satisfied. The folks at Native were extremely professional from the moment we started talking to Jay (Sales) to our install team and Stewart (maintenance). Nothing but the highest praise for this team. If your thinking of going solar let Native show you how to fully benefit from various incentives and financing options available.

The system they installed is top quality and having the ability to monitor my production is amazing. On a final note, my power bill was -$3 for July 2015, in Austin and after all the non-power related fees. Take that "the Man".

I am so happy with my solar panel system. Native was great from start to finish. I have 39 panels and love watching my power meter run backwards. I shopped a couple of companies and Native was the most impressive. If your considering solar, and you should be, I highly recommend contacting Native.

We hired Native to build our home as it was competitively priced and they promised everything and more of what we wanted. Native is a company that was easy to talk to, they listened well and performed awesomely.

Terrible experience with their sales staff. Be sure to read everything they send you very closely, especially before signing. Two sales different sales people sent proposals with mixed info on system output, design and cost.

I bought solar panels through enPhase and they contracted with Native to install them. The product is fine and the installation went fine, and after the panels were operational for a couple of weeks, they began to function only intermittently. A technician came out in a timely fashion and reinstalled an electrical component that had malfunctioned.

So far so good. Service was excellent. On May 23 when the violent storms came through Austin, a tree came down in my back yard, and took out cable, and electric. After both were restored, my Envoy device ceased to communicate with the enPhase internet application that reports how much solar energy is being produced. The simplest hypothesis would be that connection between my Envoy and my internet has not been reestablished, but I cannot get anyone from enPhase or Native to come out and test that hypothesis.

I keep being passed back and forth from Native reps to local enPhase reps to the customer service phone reps of enPhase. At one point, Native reps came out and unlocked the box containing the Envoy on my outside wall so that I could report its condition to the enPhase phone reps, but having made that trip, they did not take a little more time to check the internet connection which is what the enPhase customer service reps are now telling me to do.

I had engaged in a chain of correspondence with one local enPhase rep, and when I wrote today telling him that someone needed to come an reestablish the wifi connection, I got an automatic response in which he stated that he would be out of town for the next week and referred me to another enPhase representative. I sent this representative the chain of correspondence and his response indicated that he had not read it, not even the last communication which was the operative one, and instead inquired if the Envoy box was not yet open.

In short, enPhase and Native have a good product and excellent installation, and good customer service immediately following installation, but their system is woefully unprepared to deal with customers further on.

Native did an outstanding job on our solar panel job. The sales cycle included on site reviews, understanding our desired level of power generation and tips in addressing HOA approval. They also connected me right up front with Austin Energy and coordinated an inspection to determine any changes to insulation that might be needed for payment of the energy rebate.

Our goal is to be fully solar energy sustainable over the life of our ownership of this house. We chose to install 39 LG high efficiency solar panels with a SolarEdge Inverter/Optimizer that includes web based monitoring - along with wiring to support a future electric car. The install team was professional, courteous and worked with us to get it right while still understanding our schedules just prior to Christmas.

The key differences between Native and other companies is their people and their knowledge / experience installing solar systems. Native people work with you on every level. They help you achieve your alternative energy goals and provide you with the knowledge you need to be successful. They keep their promises on schedules and help you understand the nuances of your new system.

I chose Native over other competitors because they had more solar installs (more experience) and because their people gave me knowledge about the system and working with Austin Energy that I didn't get with other bids. That sales decision was positively reinforced by the install crew, project manager and finance people who worked with us every step of the way. On a scale of one to five with five the best. This was a five.

Native did a great job. Very professional. Patiently explaining all the ins and outs of a solar system. I am in the real estate development business and have done a lot of construction. These guys were exceptional, field and office.

This update is for service long after the house is done and there is really no reason for them to keep working hard for our approval. But they keep doing it anyway. We've been in the house 3 years now. Long enough to find all the little things that inevitably show up. There were precious few of them. So far we've had exactly one thing that we thought might be Native's responsibility to resolve but when we called them to see if they would be willing to discuss it they just sent two guys over and fixed it.

No charge. No discussion. Just fixed it. Now we have had some stuff that we wanted to change, like a door that opened out that we felt would be better opening in. We contracted them to do it and they took care of it quickly, professionally, and at a cost slightly less than the quote from a local general handyman. Recently we had a crack in one of our big picture windows.

It gets a lot of bird strikes and this looked like what happened this time. We called them and they came out, took the measurements, and a couple weeks later the replacement window showed up. We're waiting until it gets warmer to do the install, but it will be Native doing it. They are also going to do the solar upgrade later this year. One more string should make our house net negative, meaning we'll actually be able to sell energy back to our Co-op. We'll be a power plant! Seriously, ask anybody you know that has built a house.

Ask them if they are still on good terms with their builder. Then ask them if their builder would be their first choice for any repairs. The answer for both will be 'Hell no!' I promise you. Our answer with Native is Hell Yes!

Just completed the expansion of a system Native installed just over one year ago. Native did a great job of making it as easy as possible. They are a solid company and a green builder. I chose Native because I expect them to be around 25 years to support the system's warranty.

I called several different solar installers here in Austin and after careful time and consideration I decided to go with Native. I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. Native had the best financing, customer service and system selections available.

I called several different solar installers here in Austin and after careful time and consideration I decided to go with Native. I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. Native had the best financing, customer service and system selections available. Andy, my sales rep, was professional, reliable and knowledgeable, throughout the entire process. He walked me through everything from start to finish.

We decided to install a 4.5kwh system - which for us will offset 85-90% of our total energy bill. This meant Native installed 18 panels on our roof. The installation was painless and the Native install team did a great job of making our system code compliment and even took the time to make sure it has a very clean and professional look to it. This system will impress anyone that cares about the look and overall design of the installation. I am very happy with my system and the service from Native and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a solar system to their home or business.

I did a bit of search to find the right contractor for my home array, and went with Native. The process went smoothly - Carl Gayhart was our point person, and he walked me through the process and was always available when I had questions. Native was open to the changes I wanted made to the contract, and later to the installation itself (running wires through the attic rather than across the roof).

The installation itself went great, given the timetable of inspections, permits, etc. I now have a 4.5 kW system, and am very happy with how the whole process went. I'm looking forward to sitting back and watching the watts pour in! I would happily recommend Native to anyone looking for a residential solar array.

I contacted this company both through phone call and their online consultation form. One guy called me back, but he was extremely unprofessional. During our short conversation, he said "big deal" more than 10 times. It was bothersome and I asked him what was the meaning of that. He didn't answer me and continued with his every sentence ending with "big deal". He said he would send me an email with a general cost of the projects, but he never did. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our experience with Native was exceptional! Right from the start Carl G. was our solar expert. He was there anytime we had questions or needs. We did a lot of research and got several bids but went with Native because of Carls expertise and care for his customers. We give Native an A+ all around!

Ater researching solar companies, we went with native for a 6 kw solar system. We were very happy with the install and the follow up support after problems arose with dealing with oncor energy and green mountain energy. We decided to go with native because they also build homes and other renewable resource projects and were not a fly by night solar company. Our September electric bill for a 2100 sqft house that is kept at 76 degrees was $51, can ya feel the savings.

I was very pleased with their work of installing a modest solar PV system on my roof. Everyone in their organization was very professional. Since I was the first solar PV install in my town, I was especially glad to have Native's expertise as they worked with the City through the permit process and the inspection afterwards. I would definitely recommend them to others. And, I love to see my meter go backwards. And, I actually look forward to receiving my utility bills each month!

I had Native install two separate PV arrays, a 6.2kw ground mounted array in 2012 and 9.2 kw array in 2013. Working with the City of Austin through their PV Solar rebate program can be challenging. The whole team at Native worked diligently to dot all the 'i's and cross all the 't's. Lloyd the owner, Chris Renner the PV supervisor, David Dixon dealing with the city and everyone else involved.

Thanks I am extremely excited that now the total PV we have is 18.4 kw and the home/office is now Net-Zero. I plan on working with them on the future for other clients and replacing an HVAC unit with a new Geothermal unit.

Two years ago we saved up enough money to install a cooling system in our old house. We had a slew of professionals come in and give us bids and recommendations, including traditional high-efficiency HVAC and geothermal solutions. Hill Country Ecopower was the highest quote we got -- but we realized that the another geothermal guy specked out a less robust a system with an insufficiently deep hole. Ultimately, we went with Lloyd because he and his crew were so smart, responsive and honest. Checking their references confirmed the quality of their work -- nothing but glowing reviews. Finally, they helped us secure a multitude of rebates to drastically reduce the final cost.

Two years later and we're still very happy with the work Hill Country Ecopower did. The solar screens and insulation they recommended & subcontracted have held up very well and kept our house much cooler. The geothermal system itself is amazing, and has seen us through a biting winter (2010-11) and a ridiculously hot summer (2011) without any problems.

Our bills are much much lower, year-round, than those of our neighbors with similar homes, so we're confident that the system will pay for itself before too long. Clearly, we recommend Hill Country Ecopower without reservation, and will definitely go to them when we're ready for solar!
