I can't say enough terrific things about Mark and his installation team. Mark was prompt with the estimate, fully answered all my questions, and patiently dealt with my elderly mother who was getting the new system. The team was professional, thoughtful, and completed the work on the day and time frame as promised. Hands down, this is the best AC/Heating company I have ever dealt with.

I hired A.J.Warren Service Company to replace my two 25 year old Trane systems. I could not have been more pleased with the experience. Everyone from Jay, Henry, Erik, and Jose and the entire team were very professional. They were courteous, punctual, hard working, and tidy. The installation was impeccable. I have, unfortunately had a lot of AC issues this year. AJ Warren has been AMAZING to work with. I worked with Mark and Tomas. They proposed repairs that actually worked and they were very responsive to questions and supportive with issues that have proven very difficult to resolve. I am extremely pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them for AC issues both big and small.

There not the top of the line a 1 year old unit making loud noise out side unit 22 days pass 1 year nstalled it wrongly maybe or this would not have fixed it but it did. There tech rep said the AC unit need to be screwed down to the pad. WHY WAS IT NOT DONE IN THE BEGINNING? Still wants $ 85.00 more dollars. I am not paying them to do the job right after the fact. Paid $6.358.00 And 85.00 TO find out IT'S not BOLTED DOWN. 5 trips back starting day 3 to remove rotten smell new AC was putting out. 4 weeks later it was fixed. NOT REAL HAPPY WITH SERVICE. THE AC WORKS really good that's why 3 stars.

A different A/C repair company only wanted to replace entire unit due to its age. I sent them away and called AJ Warren. Alex at AJ Warren listened to my story, looked into the unit, and fixed it within an hour without using any parts. AJ Warren is now my go-to company for A/C repair and will be the first and only company I call when I inevitably need A/C work. Thanks for the great service Alex!

Willie is freaking awesome. I had called John Moore and they came out to look at our unit. John Moore did not even diagnose the problem, they immediately started trying to sell us a new system. Willie from AJ Warren came to our house and immediately knew what was wrong from my description of our problem. It was a simply bad switch that had burned out. Willie fixed it within 10 minutes and we had air again. I will always use these guys in the future.

We've used AJ Warren's annual maintenance program for 10 years. This helped stretch the life of our old system which was installed by the home builder. When the time came for a new system, we chose AJ Warren after researching multiple companies and products. We chose AJ Warren because of the impeccable service we had received, coupled with their thoroughly documented quote and willingness to educate us on the differences in products & services available. Over the years I have become used to other AC companies recommending replacement of the whole unit if it is older than 5 years, no matter what the actual problem is. With my last problem same again from two other vendors but when I called AJ Warren for a third opinion, they found the real issues and replaced only the parts that needed to be replaced for an honest, affordable and complete repair.

AJ Warren charged us $486 for a part that cost anywhere from ($46-$89 we called around different vendors in Houston with the model # of the part the tech replaced) plus labor. We've had a service agreement with them and have had work done in the past with no issues. The part that was replaced was also replaced by AJ Warren a year earlier (2 weeks past our parts & labor warranty).
When we called to speak with the owner, we were told they stand behind the price increase because they have to make a profit. I understand charging a mark up, but I feel this mark up was extreme and not a way to treat a returning customer. The company stands behind the mark up and has refused to adjust the price. The company also has quite a few complaints with the BBB for similar issues. We will not be using them again and filing our own complaint.

We are very happy to have installed the Lennox XC25 HVAC system by AJ Warren in October 2013. My husband and I live in the house, which was built in 1950s, with two dogs and four cats. Last summer our fifteen-year-old AC unit stated making high-pitched noises and it scares us since we can't be without AC here in Houston. My husband would have just dealt with the nation wide hardware store for the install using whatever they have.
But I wanted to buy the best one with the best dealer in town. So I started researching and picked 7 companies that are NATE Certified, ACCA members, and good reviews on the Internet. This is how I found AJ Warren. On their website, we saw the owner's comment about the introduction of his company on the first page. I understood how their technicians are well trained and it is good to know for the clients that they are hourly employees and not on commission.
After I talked with 7 dealers to get for a quote, I was very impressed Mark Yamaguchi of AJ Warren since he analyzed the comfort level of our house and wrote a 10 page report on how we can improve our comfort with some pictures of our ducts and grilles for air outlets. We talked and emailed each other over and over, and I sometime might have given him a hard time with captious questions.
He always replied to me. I now understand the importance of air circulation and duct sealing. Also how the dual stage or variable speed like XC25 works. To make the air circulate well we decided to install return air inlets in each room too. It took two and half days to finish everything since we asked them to do additional work such as 5 return air inlets, 2 new supply air outlets, duct insulation, wrap & seal, installing exhaust duct from exhaust fan to the outside, installing a kitchen duct from vent hood to outside roof jack, and disassembling and removing a whole-house fan in attic.
All their technicians worked very hard from 9am to 6pm and I didn't even realize if they took a break or went to lunch. They are all polite, friendly, and well knowledgeable. When they finished the installation they completely cleaned all the mess. I think it was truly win-win relationship between AJ Warren and I as a client since they could sell the best items that they have and I could buy the best items for what I need.
I am so glad I didn't deal with the lowest priced contractor. It is really correct to say, "You get what you pay for". The smell of this 55-year-old house is very good now. I feel as if we live in a new house because of good air circulation.

As an attorney of over 15 years, truth and candor are very important to me. I often spend the time to write positive reviews of businesses and rarely write a negative review. However, in this case the poor business practices of and abominable treatment provided to me by AJ Warren Service Company warrant the time and review. This is NOT about their technicians and I did indeed find Willie to be the consummate and knowledgeable professional and someone I would easily trust in my home without being there.
This is about the company's OWNERS and the profound disrespect with which they treated me when I had the "audacity" to express my dismay that the company charged me $450 for less than one hour of work. AJ Warren had serviced both of my residential air conditioning units a number of times before I contacted them to address a "gushing" sound coming from my vents that sounded like a windstorm inside my house.
The first technician, as nice as he was, was unknowledgeable of my system and believed it was one called an "iQ Drive" model that constantly changes speed. He left my home with a small service call charge not having corrected anything. My system then completely failed and I went to the attic to find that parts of my system from the technician's visit had not been replaced, including important protective covers for the circuit boards, and that the emergency shutoff sensor that prevents the system from running with the cover off was "taped off" so that it would run in the technician's presence even without the cover. AJ Warren then sent Willie, who had performed previous service at my home, and who immediately identified that the system was indeed failing by making the "gushing" noise because the motor was racing up and down in speed and also that the system was NOT the "iQ Drive" model his colleague misunderstood it to be. Willie advised that parts would be ordered under warranty and the system repaired.
To my dismay, when I called my wife after the parts arrived and Willie performed the repair, AJ Warren charged $450 for what was less than one hour of labor. I then called the company and spoke with Dwayne Ehlert, who, with A.J. Warren, III, owns AJ Warren. After I explained the prior course of dealing (including the mistake the first technician had made and the poor condition in which the unit was left) and requested an explanation as to how the charge was $450 since the parts were under warranty, Mr. Ehlert tersely responded, "How about I don't charge you and don't do business with you any longer." Unbelievably, Mr. Ehlert then told me that I should expect a lot more repair bills for my Maytag unit because it has one of the poorest reliability ratings in the industry. What's so unbelievable about that? AJ Warren showcases the Maytag system as one of their best selling products on their website! However, I suspect the company is generating serious revenue on repairs of these units that they so eagerly sell. Again, this is a company with very courteous technicians, but whose owners believe that IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S PRIVILEGE to do business with them and not the other way around.
Do not be fooled by the "window dressing" of Angie's List and BBB badges on the website, because if you dare seek to question a $450 hourly charge, you will be reprimanded and left searching for another servicing company.

Amazingly prompt and beyond efficient and courteous service! Very thorough and detail oriented without sneaking finding hidden or frivolous problems onto your bill. They walked me thru some tips to avoid the extra cost of a wkend/emergency service call and then *they called me* the moment they opened on Mon to schedule my appt. Willie is an amazingly kind man and does an outstanding job as my Service Tech. Wish I could give him and the company 50 stars!
