We have now used ACTexas twice, and both experiences have been 5-Star service. Our first experience was in August 2019 when our AC unit quit on us in the midst of a heat wave. Our home warranty provider would not be able to even service our unit for two weeks. Mickey and the team at ACTexas gave us our lowest quote of multiple providers, and were consistently in communication with us.

They were able to install a new Trane air conditioning unit and furnace system within 48 hours of contacting them. The team was on time, courteous, and kept our home and yard clean throughout the install. Our recent service was to have an air purification/cleaner installed into our HVAC unit. Mickey was prompt in responding to our quote request, and forthcoming in the quality of the products they offered. ACTexas was again a much more affordable option to install the very same unit that the competition was offering.

We were able to have our REME Halo LED system installed within a few days, with Mickey doing the work himself. Again he made quick work of the install, followed all COVID-19 protocols, and kept our home clean during the installation. The system has been a game changer for our home and our health. ACTexas is highly recommended. Used them to inspect the HVAC system for a house I was purchasing and also my house I was selling. Technicians were prompt, thorough, and knew exactly what they were doing. They identified issues with both sets of systems that I didn't know about before which saved me a huge hassle later down the road. Also used ACTexas to troubleshoot an issue I was having with my system.

They identified a faulty part right away that was causing my upstairs system to fail. The capacitor needed to be replaced and that was it. These guys are honest and very knowledgeable so will definitely use then again.

Two days ago I was home alone and found wet spots on my ceiling. I was frantic and had no idea of what to do so I called ACTexas and spoke with Mandy and she sent out a tech. My techs name was Johnny and he was super smart, super knowledgeable, super personable and he got the leak fixed within minutes. I am so thankful to Johnny and ACTexas.

Quick reply from ACT they were able to come out the same day. ACT looked at outside portion of the upstairs AC unit. A comprehensive diagnosis was not done because I had to call them out again due to the fact it was not properly cooling the upstairs. Had him come out paid the service fee again and was told the circuit board and blower fan motor needed to be replaced and it would cost thousands $$$. Called another company to get a second opinion and was told the wire from the control board to the unit was broken.

The A/C tech repaired and was out the door in under 2 hours and it cost only $180.00. I feel like ACT air conditioning did not know what the issue was and was just trying to replace multiple parts to see if it worked which I think is unethical to have some pay thousands bc you don't quite know what is wrong. So glad I got another opinion! I gave them 2 stars because the tech was very nice and did respond quickly to both house calls.

I recently needed to have my entire system replaced. The technicians at ACTexas gave me lots of options including modifying my old system (which was cheaper but just buying time). I opted to replace the entire system! My AC bills have been half what they were this time last year! They worked so hard and did an amazing job! There is also a discount if you can pay upfront (cash or check).

They were very honest about the cost (no hidden fees). I worked with Mitch and Johnny and I HIGHLY recommend them! They are smart and hard working! I highly recommend ACTexas!

I'm giving only 2 stars. that is not good and not totally bad. The technician did come by on the day we set up, he came early. My husband was at work so I had to deal with the appointment to fix our air conditioner. It was not cooling, thermostat was 86 in the day set at 75. He was professional, came looked at the system outside. The tubes were frozen. Went to his van came back to look at system in the attic. Comes down, tells me they don't make our system anymore and goes back to his van. Comes back with a quote for a new central air unit.$6000 - 8000 (estimate) I ask if there is a quick fix for it because we don't have that kind of money and it was getting to hot for our comfort.

He says the lines are frozen and it's useless to try to put Freon in until the lines thaw out. So I tell him, I have to talk to my husband about that quote. I offer him a soda because it's Houston hot outside, he takes it and leaves.husband comes home and ask if he put any Freon into the system, i said no. I told him The technician said the lines was frozen and it be useless to tryto put freon in. (this is my story and not exact words.

But this is what I understood from the technician) Granted this is the third year we had a tech come and just put Freon during the summer. I wasn't there the 2 times a tech came out, husband was there. Husband gets mad at me because I just spent $60 for a quote and no service (Freon). Husband calls the company, they connect us to the technician who came by the house.

He makes it right with my husband, by telling him he'll come back on Wednesday (06/06/2018) to put Freon minus the service call fee. That was on 06/04/2018, well it's Thursday (06/07/2018) no calls or response I felt bam boozled and taking advantage of for Being a female and trusting the professional.it takes 30 minutes to an hour to thaw those hoses before u can put a pound of freon in.

The more you know prevents people from taking advantage of you because of your gender. yes we have a leak, but a pound of Freon would of at least kept the house cool til the end of summer. I have changed my 2stars to 3stars. They did try to make it right by not charging me a service fee the second time around as well as when I called the first time.

I used ACTexas when my heater would not blow out hot air, one phone call and a tech was at my home within about an hour. Did not take him long to diagnose that I needed a new blower motor, the tech had it changed out in excellent timing and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend using ACTexas and will be referring all my friends and family to them from now on.

I recently had both of my evaporator coils replaced by ACT Air Conditioning Texas. The experience was great. Both Mitch and the installation team were a pleasant to work with. I have a really old system and he took his time to learn it and work on it. They just did a full a/c change out; they were prompt and kept their word on services. After install; a walk thru of the equipment replaced and they showed me exactly what was performed. Top notch work at a proper price. You need air con work, look no further. Quick, responsive, fair in price. We were having issues with our system not cooling properly. The ACT team set to it quickly identified the issues, and took care of it within hours. Since then we have been saving money again and staying confortable.

I contacted the top three HVAC companies in Spring on Yelp about a furnace replacement quote. Two tried to upsell me a bunch of things I didn't need or want. One company was trying to install a brand of furnace I had never even heard of.

We have gone thru several AC companies in the Cypress and now the Spring area. Most of them you feel like you're spending too much money and throwing it to techs that are looking at a log sheet of prices and parts. ACT is the exception. Mitch's customer service makes all the difference. I called this last time and he was here within two hours on an extremely hot and busy day.

He checked the units out and gave me his recommendation for all my service options. I chose to have the downstairs evaporator coil, drain pan and compressor unit replaced. He had the appointment scheduled and the next busy day the crew was here bright and early at 7 AM, the promised appointment time. The installation was a breeze and they were done around lunchtime.

I assure you that the price I paid for today's service was a steal and you wouldn't receive such a deal anywhere else, at least not in my experience. I appreciate a company I can trust and being an engineer I appreciate a rep that is knowledgable and cares about the details.

Beware of this business. Been working with them for service for my rental units, just last month had them out their they charged me to clean inside unit and for 3lb of coolant. The tech took 10min servicing unit. Didn't do no cleaning, coils looked untouched. And ac was still not cooling. Called them and they came out again telling me I need a whole new unit.

I called my other ac guy I use and he came out and told me they over charged the coolant, and ac companies will do this so your unit burns out. So I basically paid this company to not fix my ac but to sabotage it. Stay away from this company!

Mitch and ACTexas were great. Had them come out for a full system replacement including a split-level zoning install for upstairs/downstairs. Mitch took a look at the existing system to understand what was in place and came up with a series of recommendations along with separate costing for each option.

Finding a good AC company to trust in Houston is must. They are reliable, trust worthy and pricing is inline. Glad to have found them to take care of us.

ACT Air Conditioning did an excellent job replacing my AC system. Pricing was very reasonable and incredibly prompt and on time service. Crew was also very conscience of keeping the area clean as my original ac system was over 15+ years old and in very bad shape. ACT has earned all my future business.

The AC went out at our townhouse in East Downtown. We first found out about ACT Air Conditioning through a referral from a friend. We did our due diligence and continued our research on Yelp. So far, so good. Great reviews expect for that one from Cameron. We didn't let that deter us from going with ACT Air Conditioning. We called their service line and spoke with someone named Teresa.

She said that one of their technicians would call us back within an hour. Sure enough, someone named Mitch called us and he was able to come over to our home and evaluate the problem within the same day! Turns out we needed to replace the entire unit. Eek. Mitch was very courteous and was able to explain why we needed a new unit. He was able to show us pricing all within the same day.

He gave us choices and we decided to go with the higher end option b/c it used a non ozone depleting refrigerant and it would last twice as long as our old one. Mitch came back in 2 days with his crew and was able to replace and install the new until within hours. Awesome! A few days later, we felt like the AC wasn't cooling down the home like it used to.

Maybe it was paranoia but we decided to call them back. The next day, they came by and retested the temperature on each floor and made minor adjustments (something to do with the dampers). Mitch and crew were amazing!

Excellent company to work with. Very responsive and reasonable pricing. Replaced outside unit the same day the unit went out. Another company was going to charge way more for the same service.

Act Air was fast, friendly and had great customer service. Our air went completely out and we already had another air company out that first said it was just a breaker, we called an electrician out to fix that then it still didn't work. They had to come back out then we were told the unit was grounded. ACT came out and told us immediately that the unit was bad. Mitch walked us though the process of purchasing a new unit. I would recommend Act to all my friends.

5 stars for these guys! We will never use another company. Our AC unit went out on a Saturday and we feared the worst. They were on site within an hour and had us back up and running. We've been home owners for quite a few years and had some pretty big ac repair bills. These guys were very reasonable and fast. I can't say enough good things about them. I chose this company based on other Yelp reviews~ I called for a commercial AC unit inspection. They provided same day service and gave me a time from 1:00pm-3:00pm. The receptionist called 30 min ahead to notify me they were on their way. The technician (Mitch?) was knowledgeable & professional. I highly recommend this company.
