Heaven Sent Floor Care

This wonderful company has serviced our travertine floors in our home for eight years. However, it bothers me that in Sept. when I called he told us it would be five weeks before he could get to us due to a full workload on his calendar. I'd think he would have a system to prioritize his longtime clients. Nevertheless, Ken and his team take great care of my home and I will continue to call on them every time I need our travertine serviced. My neighbors use them too.

We would highly recommend Ken & his assistant. We had a slight miscommunication on the level of polish we wanted on travertine floors. We called Ken back and explianed to him our concern. He gladly came back out and spent the entire day polishing the floors at no additional cost. We are very pleased with the result and the floors look fabulous!

Ken was our hero in a rather complicated mess with our new travertine floor. We had several contractors working in our home on a remodel project. At some point during the work some substantial scratches were put all over the travertine. No one would accept responsibility. Had one company come out and scheduled the work. When they arrived several days later they said the price would increase several hundred dollars because they did not realize there were that many scratches.

They were asked to leave since they had already inspected the floor and knew the extent of the scratches. Ken with Heaven Sent Floor Care was able to fit us in within a few days with no complications. Our travertine floor looks better now then when installed a couple weeks ago. To begin with, I typically do not write reviews. However, the service Ken provided definitely warrants a review. We had a major hiccup with the services; however, it was not Heaven Sent Floor Care's fault. My wife and myself had interviewed four different companies. Only Ken and one other company actually seemed to understand and have extensive experience with grinding and restoring our travertine floors.

My wife and myself both perceived Ken provided a much more extensive analysis of what was involved and ultimately what to expect. Unfortunately, I had to be out of town the week the work was being performed. My wife had visited a good friends home and was impressed with their travertine. This led her to requesting Ken polish our floors at the end.

The problem was our travertine had a great deal of fill from the factory and looks terrible in areas with lots of natural light. Ken had initially cautioned us about polishing our travertine. Long story short, the travertine floors ended up looking very bad in our main living areas where we have considerable natural light. He did a spectacular job leveling out all the uneven tiles etc.

We all felt bad in the end. Ken was a true hero when he came forward and negotiated to redo the areas to get a honed finish like we had initially discussed. My blessings and highest recommendations go out to Ken and his crew for over delivering on this huge project and correcting our mistake.

This is a lengthy review, but to understand how good Heaven Sent Floor Care and Ken is, you need to understand the self induced complications and additions I made during the course of the job, which was still completed during my 1 week time frame. They showed up each day at 7:30 a.m and worked diligently until 6:00 p.m. That is dedication! Ken was super thorough in explaining the process to me when he came out.

The estimate wasn't the cheapest, however, it was undeniably worth it when the project was completed. Whatever work Heaven Sent Floor Care did, it was always done right--and not just "okay right", but to the best standards of quality workmanship. Ken is TOP NOTCH in his field, and his crew was always courteous, friendly and helpful. Ken was always accessible, friendly and patient with my myriad of questions.

We were easily able to work out details, and they definitely held to their side of the contract. It was clear Ken had tons of experience in refinishing natural stone, he was intent on doing the right thing and that his reputation and the level of quality in their workmanship would be very high. Work Completed: Ground level the lippage in our Family Room floor, almost a dozen high areas in our Kitchen, honed all the travertine in our downstairs (approx 2800 sq ft). Brought it up to a stunning polished finish. Removed all the grout in our Master Bath Shower & Guest Bath and regrouted.

Attention to detail was especially evident on all the edges, around door jams etc. I made several significant changes to the scope of the project when I saw the stunning results in the first two days. Ken was extremely accommodating and didn't flinch and eye. The result is I now have my travertine floors that have been flattened that look like most seen in Italy, monolithic in nature.

I can't imagine a better stone refinishing company in all of the Dallas Metroplex. I would HIGHLY recommend them for your next stone refinishing project. I will be repeat business.

These guys deserve 6 stars! It's been over a week since they did both our marble and travertine floors. The floors were very beat up. Ken explained exactly what process would be required to restore them to a like new condition. They worked three long days and were very polite and professional. Our marble floors look like a mirror now and actually look better than when installed. Our travertine floors no longer have any scratches, have a gorgeous luster to them now and all the holes were filled. Thank you for a terrific experience!

Fantastic job! My travertine floors had been wrecked by my cleaning service accidentally using sealer to mop the floors. Ken was able to take all that off and restore my floors beautifully. Plus, he charged me about half of what other places had quoted. He is a treasure!

We needed our travertine floors refinished. Ken, the owner, came to our home, gave us his "professional" opinion and an estimate for the work. We agreed to have the work done by him. He showed up with 2 crew members and began working on our travertine floors. They were not able to complete the job properly and he stated that in order to so, he would have to return on another occasion and also stated that it would cost us more than he originally estimated.

To make matters worse, they ruined our wood floors in the process. They taped down plastic over our wood to protect them, but did so improperly. Due to their negligence, water penetrated the plastic and our wood floors absorbed the water and swelled up. Ken refuses to repair our wood floors or even compensate us for the damage. More so, we still have to have our travertine floors refinished properly as they were not able to do so. Ken comes across as a professional and kind person, but "Buyer beware." I wish there had been reviews for us to read before we had hired him. No doubt the reviews posted with 5 stars are relatives, friends, or Ken himself writing them.
