Glover & Son installed my heater and AC several years ago and was very efficient in obtaining authorization from the condo association and starting the job once approved. Since our units originally had heaters in the closet ceiling, a heater closet had to be built and a full-sized heater installed. They were neat and made sure the condo was properly secured each night. I've been very pleased with the ongoing service, and have Glover and Son provide preventative maintenance. Glover and Son is a family-owned business that provides excellent service at a fair price. My original thermostat recently went out and they were not only responsive but went above and beyond to deal with it on a very hot day.

Robert Glover has been doing my heating and air for the last 12 years. My husband and I are very pleased. All of his employees have been very professional and kept everything very clean. I would recommend him to anyone.

I called Glover & Son on a Wednesday afternoon because our heater wasn't working. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to schedule me for an appointment the very next morning. They said they would be at my home between 9:00 - 11:00am. They were prompt and quickly determined we would need our heater replaced. I was again surprised when they said they would be able to install the heater that very day.

I was thinking I would have to wait days if not weeks to get this done. So now we have heat again! Thank you Glover and Son for your prompt response to our heating situation. By the way, Glover and Son installed our original heater 15 years ago.

I used Bob Glover over the past 25 years and in the past his work was competent and ethical. However my experiences during the past 5 years have been horrible. He is unethical, unscrupulous and a crook. Do not use him for HVAC service under any circumstance as he is untrustworthy and should have his contractors license revoked.

Bob Glover came promptly when our heater stopped working. We called two other vendors who told us we had to wait until the next day. He was professional and efficient. Completely untrustworthy. Our A/C downstairs wasn't cooling quickly. We called Glover & Sons since they did the installation on the original equipment from when our house was built. Robert said after less than 5 min evaluation of our Nest thermostat and the outside unit that the entire system including furnace was going to die once summer heat came in and quoted us $14K to replace.

We of course got a second opinion. A tech from another company came out and said our refrigeration level was low and would be ~$150 to fill back to max capacity. A/C is working perfectly now. Even with 90 degree heat. Don't trust Glover & Son.

I got my new AC/Furnace through through them back in 2011. When they did the install your installer got nabbed by the city inspector. Which we had the city to inspect. Luckily we did because both units were not strapped down. After the install and inspection I heard a lot of water running on my roof. I called them and they told me the plumbing just got hooked up to the wrong drain.

They did come fix the problem. Little did I know they plumbed it wrong and used duct tape as a solution. The furnace is in my attic and I do not go up their. Because of the fires and smoke recently I bought HEP13 filters to get through the smoky days since I have asthma. The dripping started again so I called BA Morrison to come inspect it. I didn't call their company because I was worried about your installation practices on the initial install.

See Pictures of what their installer did and how it was fixed. Luckily we caught the problem since the pan was full of water and was ready to spill over which would go through my ceiling. They would not pay the invoice for their bad workmanship. It cost me 680.00 to fix. Michele W

We had used Glover & Son Heating way back in 2000 when we had needed our furnace replaced. When our now 21 year old furnace started acting up, we called them again. My husband and I were very pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail, and absolute persistence to do things right. We had the new furnace installed, but there were challenges with getting the heating just right. Gloves & Son did not quit!

They went through every effort to investigate what was not right, even replacing some parts in the new furnace, and finally identified that our heating duct tubing in the attic was compressed, compromising air flow. They communicated every step and showed us pictures of the duct in the attic. Long story, but happy to report that the problem was fixed, our heat is back on in the house, and all is well.

We really appreciated their promptness in arriving as promised, taking care of the issue quickly, and their thoroughness as they worked on getting the furnace to work. Highly recommend this family owned business.

I had a lot of problems with my A/c this summer and last summer so a friend of mine recommended that I call Glover and Son to come and fix the problem, turns out the company that installed it 5 years ago didn't weld the refrigerant lines properly. After spending a couple of hours finding the leak bobby welded the line set and added refrigerant, My a/c has never worked better, Thanks again bob and bobby for taking the time to find the root of the problem. I will be calling in the future if there are any issues.

2 yrs ago we had 2 new AC units installed. 1 to replace a broken system. The other to replace an old one. Unit 1 was installed but they didn't finish wiring it, so when winter hit and we turned on the heater.nothing. They came out, properly wired it, and it worked. Great. Summer arrived and we turned on unit 2's AC. No cold air. We called, they came, said they rewelded the line, filled the refrigerant, and said it was fixed.

That summer and the next we had them come back 8 times because every 2 months the refrigerant leaked out. They said they checked for leaks, verified the coil wasn't leaking, welded seams, refilled the refrigerant, and said we were good to go. Each time they came, no charge, but they never fixed the problem. The last time they came, they said the problem had to be in the lines running through the house.

They never checked those lines. They never isolated the unit outside or in the attic to see if the leak was in the warrantied equipment. Instead, they handed me an estimate to move the unit from one side of the house to the other so they could run a new line. $7,000. For a brand new system that never worked for the day they installed it. I asked if there could be a faulty valve or seal in the warrantied equipment.

They said no. I didn't understand what I was talking about. They'd call my husband to explain. Sexist a-hole! So I called another company to check the system. They isolated the unit outside, in the attic, and the lines, pressurized each separately. No leaks in the lines. No leaks outside. But the thermal expansion valve in the evaporator coil in the attic had a huge leak, easily detectable with a little soapy water.

It took him 2 crescent wrenches to tighten the valve to the copper line. Done. A problem we'd dealt with for 2 very hot summers fixed in half an hour. Glover and Son may have come out to refill the refrigerant, but they had no idea how to properly diagnose the issue or troubleshoot the problem that was a very simple one. Add on top of that the excessive charge to move a system that didn't need to be moved and wouldn't have fixed the problem anyway, plus the sexist, rude remarks, to cover for their incompetence, and it was clear this company should not be trusted.

Plus I was assured by the office that the owner would contact me to discuss the problem. Guess what? He never called. Me or my husband. If you can't competently install a system, fix the problem, guarantee your work, or provide good customer service, you shouldn't be in business. And no one should use this incompetent company.

I've been without air conditioning for over 9 years. I called Glover and Sons to just give me an estimate. They immediate saw that the AC unit outside was too small for the house and I was very happy with the quote. There was no pressure to buy. He just said to call and set an appointment when I was ready. The day came and the technicians were in time and kept me up to date on progress.

They covered all floors and were respectful from the get go. They finished the job in one day replacing the furnace, replacing the AC unit in the back yard, checking the drain line, etc. They replaced all screens and asked me about all of the options when they were redoing the drain line. At the end of the day, one of the techs noticed that the AC blower outside was smaller than the 3 1/2 ton that was supposed to be installed.

He let me know that there was a mistake and would be back the next day to exchange the unit. The next day they returned as promised and finished the exchange. As luck would have it, my heater had just gone out 2 weeks prior so we were excited to have everything working finally! I will always use this company in the future. Family owned and a local small business.

I call them to schedule free estimate for air conditioning unit and there appointments where available. I received three estimates. Glover & Son was the best price. I was able to get appointment to have the unit installed. The two guy hook our system up and I ready for the hot summer, thank you

My heater was not working so I called Glover & Son Heating company and set an appointment. The technician came and checked my heater and told me I need a new gas valve which is $ 750.00. I said I will call you later to fix it so I called couple days after to fix my heater they said it will be $1150.00 and top off that I paid $96.00 to just check the heater so I said just forget it.

Then I called ABC cooling and heating company They came to my house check the heater and found the gas line was turned off so they turned it on and it starts working and charged me $232.00 never ever go to Glover &Son company they try to Cheat you.

I wanted to do a follow up review because Glover & son has once again saved me from this cold winter! We have been using Glove & Son since 2013, We have an older wall heater and for some reason it did not want to start when we tried warming up our home on the first really cold day we had this winter. I called Glover & Son and within the same day of calling I was able to get an appointment. Bob came out to service our heater and fix the issue the same day. I truly appreciate the great and fast service i received! I know I can always count on Glover & Son any time i have trouble with my heater.

We have used the services of Glover & Sons for many many years now. They did our heating and our air conditioning units a few years back. I recently needed someone to fix our heater as it went out on a Friday lat afternoon. Mr. Glover sent someone over right away as it was very cold. They fixed it immediately. So happy with the quick response. I have also referred this company to many friends and neighbors as well and have heard nothing but good things. Thank you Glover & Sons!

Horrible Experience with the staff and work not done: My airconditioner stopped working and I called Glover and Son to take a look. They sent a technician and he looked at it and said the unit is old but he can put a refrigerate and can get it to work for another couple years. He charged me $1125 for it. He said it should start working after few hours.

Nothing happened. I called them again and now they said the thermostat is not working and he needs to change that for $189. Got that done too. Still nothing. I called them again and they said to keep the AC on at 70 degrees over the weekend, did exactly that. Still no cooling. I called them and got really upset with them this morning and now they say the unit is old and we have to change the whole unit!

I told them that they told me that by putting a refrigerate, they said the unit can run for few years and they had no valid answer. When I asked them for money back, they said they came everytime we called and they will not return the money unless we buy a whole unit from them! This is completely unacceptable. I would never ever hire them for any of my heating and cooling services.

My husband an I recently moved to Fremont into a real fixer upper, we had Glover & Son come out and give us a quote on all new ductwork, furnace and A/c. After getting a few other quotes not only was Glover & Son the most affordable but Bob the Owner was very informative on what needed to be done. Overall my husband and I are very pleased with the service we received and most definitely will be recommending this family owned business to all of our friends and family. When I called Glover and Son out to check out my air conditioner unit. My air conditioner had stopped working. When he showed up to check it out, after a brief survey of my unit. He advised me that the unit was bad and at the end of its life. He said it could be repaired for 1,500, but that it it might only work for 3 months. He cut the wire on my unit outside and left it cut.

His recommendation was to replace the condenser unit for 5,500. It cost me 96.00 for his service. Image my surprise and anger when I had another repair service fix my air conditioner with one part for 25.00 dollars. Although I dont question their capabilities or expertise. I question their motive. It seems to me if they were trying to provide good service to the customer, they would give all options,

The crew showed up within 24 hours. Stayed all day until HVAC was installed. Very, very clean & neat. Very professional. Great price. I had to upgrade my old electrical and when that was done they came by that day to check, charge and activate all systems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I called Glover and Son. They came out within 24 hours to give me an estimate. Of course I price compared with others, however their estimate was the best. I had been referred to them by a Realtor Friend, who had used them frequently. After my research, we set up an apt. for a new HVAC system to be installed on my roof. They were here on time, They arranged the crane.

They gently lifted the old unit off, and placed the new unit on. A three man crew worked all afternoon, and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. If you want an honest no nonsense quote, and service that meets and exceeds all promises given, Call Glover & Son.

My heater started making some sound few weeks back and my home warranty said that the next appointment is only after 1week, so I called Glover & son as they have installed (or repaired it) earlier when my previous owner owned the condo.(They had a sticker on the heater with the company details). I was able to get the appointment on the very next day.

They came and saw the heater and said that there is a problem with inducer and the repair cost could be 1k but that he would highly recommend to buy new furnace which is around 2800. I wanted to take a second opinion so I still had the appointment with the warranty guys. Home warranty guy fixed it in 15 mins and its been 2 weeks and no issues. The initial issue was that there was a small debris from roof into the furnace funnel, which was making the sound when the heater was running. I was totally shocked how this guys gave wrong information and were trying to sell the furnace.

Glover & Son did a great job with this install. Guys came out to our offices on time, finished the install quick and made sure everything was clean. Would highly recommend to all family and friends. Thanks again guys!

Our AC went out on a Wednesday. We called Glover & Son Heating & Air Conditioning Inc and they said that they could be there between midnight and 2 a.m. that night. We were really excited with that kind of customer service. We stayed up waiting for the technician. Nobody came, nobody called. Then we called Glover & Son first thing in the morning and the lady apologized that a technician never called or came.

She said that they were really busy and wasn't sure she could get anybody to come to the house on Thursday. We called later on Thursday and the lady told us that she can possibly get someone to come out on Friday. But more likely on Saturday. Friday came and went. Nobody came. We received a call Saturday stating that someone would be at the house by 3 p.m. a technician did come out and assessed that we needed a new motor. He replaced it and now our air conditioner works great.

My boiler was making some crazy noises and I called Glover & Son Heating & Air Conditioning Inc., spoke to the owner, who made an appointment with me for the following day. He arrived a hour later - but calling beforehand to let me know he was on the way. He was polite, clean, well spoken and took time to figure out what the problem was but can't fix it.

It turned out to be a very simple fix but he was trainee, so I had to wait for an experienced master to arrive. I was very pleased with his work and would have him back again to all my heating and air conditioning repair needs.

This is based on a phone call only. I called to try to get someone to come out to install a new thermostat for a unit that we had installed on our own. The guy one the phone laughed at me and rudely said "yeah that's not gonna happen. You would have to buy a system from us". I get why they would have that policy, but that's all he had to say was their policy.

There were four other companies in the area willing to take my business no problem. I was just shopping around to see if I can get a tech out sooner. By the looks of other reviews I probably would have got taken advantage of anyway. If I would have check yelp first they wouldn't have received a call in the first place.

Just when heat wave started, my AC unit stopped working. I called several companies, this is the only company could come and check my AC unit on the same day. When their previous work was delayed, they texted me several times to let me know when they will come. When they arrived, checked the AC unit and fixed the problem so I could enjoy the cool air the same day. Highly recommended.

I don't like to write the negative reviews but used these people few years back for new furnace instalment. Worst people to use for heating installation. Robert is the rudest person to talk and his crew did the lousiest installing of furnace. None of the ducts were strapped or sealed properly. There is big whole between the furnace and plenum.

We asked them to fix these things earlier and the crew said they will come back and never did. It was impossible to talk to Robert without getting upset. Now we are installing a new AC and it is costing us a lot more to fix their mistakes. If you want a good job done for your furnace or AC never call these people.

I'd like to give Glover & Son a more thorough review but all I can say is that Robert came out to our place on a Wednesday this past summer to bid on installing an HVAC system in our Fremont condo. He told me he'd have a proposal for us by the following Monday. That was the last I ever heard from him or his company. During his visit he clearly recognized the challenge of getting a system approved by our rather picky HOA, but also understood that getting the approval would open up a new potential market of customers for his firm. Robert, I know you probably thought given the history of our HOA that bidding on our project was a waste of your time. Well, we did get approved and did get a system installed, albeit through another firm who had no problem in following up as promised. I didn't waste your time, but you wasted mine.

DO NOT USE GLOVER and SONs for heating and air. Bought a unit 5 years ago told equivalent of brand and marketed exactly the same by same company just branded under different name. New unit should last 15-20 years. Comes today and tells me "oh that was just a temporary fix" and stayed FIVE minutes after arrival. Terrible customer service. Charged for an emergency call nearly $400 stayed five minutes.

Our air quit working as soon as he left and called within 5-10 minutes after him leaving the house to ask to come back and he boldly tried to upswell a $10k heater, thermostat and condenser after 5 minutes on site. Part working before he arrived now broken after the repair and after the 400 emergency call price, couldn't come back until middle of next week.

Owner arrived with a bad attitude upon arrival and calling back to ask him to come back today, he got very defensive. Called another company who came out same day. Found out he put an old dented part and charged me for a new. Found out he put in a part too powerful for the unit and would of blown the entire system by time he came back next week and he can lose license for doing so.

Other company charged half the labor rate for emergency service as the first guy and stuck around to make sure it worked. Will be calling State License board Monday as the unit this company sold me is in no way need of needing replacement. It would of been if his part ran for any length of time. Felt like a ploy to get more business for himself. Would not recommend to my worst enemy! Definitely didn't care to do a good job or want my business

We used this company to do our ventilation system. They did not properly measure the space and installed an improper system in my place of business. We tried to talk but they would not fix the problem. I recommend to stay away from this family.

Bob Glover came promptly (two stars just for that and only for that) to look at my broken furnace and diagnosed it as a bad fan motor. His estimate of motor replacement cost was over $1,000 but he STRONGLY recommended that I should replace the whole furnace since it was 14 years old "and they last only 15-30 years". The replacement of the furnace he estimated to cost over $3,000.

Another company came over two days later and found that just the starter died (which Bob Glover did not test), which they replaced for about $200. My furnace is back! For $800 LESS!
