Raesz Custom Floors

Nice people but when they installed our floors they damaged all the cabinets and floor boards. Our builder didn't hold them accountable but that's a story for another day.

Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. My fiance commissioned Gary Raesz to install flooring in his house in August 2021. Things went really badly, where they damaged the property on three separate occasions. When he wanted Gary to pay an outside contractor to repair damages (after giving him two opportunities to do it himself), he refused.

My fiance has been more than reasonable in paying everything except the damages - including a quote from ABC for validity. One of the issues that I am personally having is that MY name is on this invoice. This is NOT my property, I never signed a contract with this company, nor did I make any payments. I have my own separate house, and I do not live in the house that they have done work on.

For some reason, they have been sending me invoices non-stop, and harassing ME for payment. I have even asked them to remove my name off of the invoice and they have not complied. The sales associate I worked with was also very difficult. She threatened me and said that I would be sent to collections, after admitting that their contractors entered my fiance's house without permission and damaged the home for a third time.

She also told me that Gary is a difficult man who "lacks patience", and that she is "praying for the best outcome". It does not speak well to a business when an employee describes their own employer in this manner. I feel so uncomfortable with everything that has occurred, and have had to consult an attorney in fear that this company will try and sabotage my credit.

This has been a horrendous experience, and I do not recommend anyone to work with this company. This company is dishonest, and does shoddy work while refusing to take responsibility. Attached are photos of the work they did in the house.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR BEAUTIFUL WEBSITE. I visited this store and left because the show room was a mess, with samples scattered all over the floor right in front of the entrance, making it nearly impossible to walk inside. I shouldn't have to play hop scotch to navigate your store. The owner was incredibly rude and clearly does not know what is going on in his own business.

The showroom is very luxurious, and perhaps this was once a respectable business, but what I saw makes me questions how they could sustain a business at all. I wish I had read the reviews and believed them before wasting my time even trying to get a quote from this business.

Unresponsive. Tried to get a quote from this company and was met with incompetence. The owner was very rude and kept calling my number and but not knowing who he was calling, and would hang up. Will take my business elsewhere.

Warning! Warning! Warning! The owner Gary Raesz is a poor business man. We contracted him to do a very large job. Thing were not going well with him. We ask to cancel the job. We were will to pay for all material that was ordered. We wanted to get the money on supplies that have not been order and labor that had not been preform. He said absolute not.

He had a contract and he was not going to let us out of the contract and he was going to do the work. Most reputable companies would not have a problem with this. Most companies understand when both sides dont see eye to eye, it's time to split up. I should have left the store when he started scream at his wife and his employees. If there is any body else who reads this and has had problem with Gary. Which I'm sure are are lots. I challenge you to post something on yelp. So this doesn't happen to anybody else. I have never met a person so unreasonable. So one sided.

Best quality hardwood selection in the Austin area. We have used Raesz Floors for years. They have a great install crew and exceptional customer service. The best around! Thanks for always taking good care of us!

They talk a good game. Installers are apathetic, mow, blow and go and project manager could care less. You are a pain In their side. They even brought their kids along. God forbid you have to get them back to fix something. All talk. Good luck!

We have used Raesz Custom Floors for over 30 years! Our new sales person, Lacey, was awesome to work with. She was on time to measure, was very personable and was always ready to answer any questions we had. Our floors are beautiful and we were pleased with the installers. I highly recommend Raesz Custom Floors.

When we first went to Raesz Floors, we were working with an employee who had subsequently left and we went somewhere else for our master bath floor and shower tile. However, we were unable to get our backsplash tile anywhere except Raesz Floors. We went back and began working with Lacey to help us get the back splash tile ordered. When it arrived, the tiles had a substantial variation compared to the sample we looked at in the store.

We wanted to make a return and substitute an alternative color in the same tile family. Lacey promptly began working with her tile representative and secured a return and prompt delivery of the substituted tile! Lacey was highly communicative throughout this process--had we not already made a decision to go elsewhere, I would have worked with Lacey to do the overall tile work in our master bath! She worked to ensure we have a resolution and a great experience with Raesz Floors!

Raesz Custom Floors has the very best product on the market. Gary and his crew are also the very best in the business at installation and finish out. I had them do an almost 5,000 sq ft installation in my home and the results are AMAZING. I only chose Gary and Raesz Floors after a thorough investigation of wood flooring types and companies. I had 4 different, highly respected, custom floor companies show me their product selection and instillation examples as well as work up estimates for my job.

Without question the wood from Raesz was the best of the bunch. See photo below for an example of the installation. You won't go wrong with Gary and Raesz Custom Floors. He treated me like family and made sure that every aspect of our job was to our liking. Gary, Mark and the entire crew were professional and accommodating at every turn. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for the very best, highest quality wood floors on the market.

Raesz Custom Flooring is one of the best flooring companies in the country. Gary Raesz and his team offer the highest quality materials and highest level of customer service. I have always held my contractors to a high standard and Raesz Custom Floors has surpassed them all. Gary and his team made themselves available to my husband and I and thoroughly answered our questions. I cannot day enough good things about this company.

We've worked with Gary and his staff for decades. They're very knowledgeable and ready to help, even if it's a small job. They have an exceptional array of product and quality installers. Great group of folks to work with!

We booked a job for 9:30am. We were told that the guys leave to get the carpet at 8am and would make it by 9:30. We even double checked to ensure the time because our son had a concert at Texas State and we had to leave by noon to make it on time. 9:30 rolls on by and nothing. I call at 9:40 to enquire where the crew is to find out they had two other things come up and they wouldn't be there until 10:50 but they would definitely be done by noon.

At this point I'm frustrated. 11am rolls by and still no crew at the house. We call again and are told they are almost there. 11:10 they show. Guess what. They don't finish by noon. They finish at 12:45. Guess who has to disappoint his son while his mom goes by herself to the concert. The work was good. The crew helped me move my furniture back too. However, if you say you are going to do something, do it. Don't be 2 hours late and then act like it's no big deal.

They have great selection of flooring. The owner is a good person that seems to tell it like it is. I liked that.

Philip Leman shows passionate love towards tiles. I've never seen a man so happy and excited to do his job. His flooring techniques leaves me to want to do business with them agian 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I stopped by the showroom on 290. I walked in and no one greeted me. There was a man in a back office speaking with a woman. Neither of them greeted me. I walked to the back of the showroom, and still no greeting. Here is a basic Pro-Tip in customer service and not losing $10,000 in business by just being lazy: "Hi, welcome to our store. Thanks for stopping by. I'm currently with a customer but I'll be right with you." I reluctantly continued to walk around with no assistance.

I came across another employee in another office who was on the phone. Same exact thing. No greeting. He didn't even acknowledge me with a smile, much less a verbal greeting. If this is the type of service you get BEFORE they have your money.just imagine after they've got your money.

Horrible customer service! After a prolonged battle over our floors being misrepresented and several employees including the owner admitting the floors were not as represented on the sample. Raesz advised us to file a claim with the manufacturer. When that was denied Raesz sued us for payment even though they admitted the floors were not representative of the sample we were sold. Buyer beware if anything goes wrong you will have no recourse!

Every time I have to deal with this company it is an aggravation. Unreliable and long drawn out process. Ruining yet another day waiting on them to arrive. Hopefully with the right materials this time.

The Owner got involved and made efforts to make things right and assured the job was completed.

I have been in there three times in the last two months. The first time I was just tire kicking and had my daughter with me, but no one made an attempt to greet me or see if I needed help. The second visit I was promplty greeted by Morgan (who was helpful and knowledgeable) who helped me narrow down some hardwood and tile selections. I told her I would be back with my husband that Thursday to finalize.

When we returned (granted we did not have an official appointment), she was helping another customer in her office and did not see us (which was fine). BUT, we were there over thirty minutes looking around. Two other employees were present, saw us and never said a single word. We were so frustrated about not being offered help that we left and have decided to take our business elsewhere. What a bummer. They have great flooring options there and their location is literally minutes from our house.

Ours was kind of a complicated mess. Mix of a bad wood floor on the lower level and nasty carpet on the upper level. Wanted wood throughout. Considered re-finishing the existing wood floor and color matching new wood on the upper level. Randall Swift was able to sensibly and agreeably walk us through the options. We decided to replace everything with new wood floors.

At first we had our $ concerns. But without doubt it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Their crew was outstanding, very detail conscious. It's gorgeous.

I had an excellent experience here. A friend had used them and told me they'd been in business for a very long time. Randall Swift was extremely professional, while very down-to-earth and easy to work with. He came by my house the day after I stopped in the store to measure. He called the next day with a price. As soon as I made my decision, my carpet was at their warehouse and ready for installation within a few days.

I had to ask them to hold on to the carpet for a week while I got things ready on my end. They came to install when they said they would - the installers were very professional as well. My carpet looks amazing - I feel like I have a new house!

These guys did our entire upstairs floor (1700 sq ft), replacing carpet. I was anxious about the whole thing, I really wanted it to be perfect. It is perfect. Our house is 30 years old and had some squeaks in places. I didn't realize that I even noticed them until they were gone. All edges / seems / transitions are perfect and it looks amazing.

The floors look spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Randall Swift. I can tell he takes great pride in his work and he obviously has enormous experience. Communication channels were always open (text, phone, email) and they did everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it. I was comfortable with the entire process.

I might have liked them if they would have actually showed up. Same experience as previous review. Talked with Phillip on the phone and said he would come out and give me an estimate. An hour past the time he was suppose to show up, I called and he said he forgot and would be right over. Came over finally and gave me an estimate. We scheduled the work to be done on Friday.

I asked if he would call then and confirm and he said yes. Friday came, and no call. i called him and once again he said he forgot but would get they guys out there later that afternoon. Afternoon came and still no phone call or no show. No way would I try to do business with them after that. Still 3 days later, no phone call. Obviously they are too busy to care about any more work.

Just a phone call from Phillip would have been professional. I had to track him down every time and still no word back from him. Horrible and non-professional. I scheduled another floor guy to come and the estimate was even lower than what Phillip quoted me. So I would never recommend them. Wasted an entire week of waiting with these guys.

I worked with these guys when I first got started in the construction and interior design business in Austin. They are a one-stop-shop. You can buy materials through them at competitive prices or supply your own. I believe they have been in business since 1976 or close to it. I have since found installers that aren't associated with a "business" but for the normal homeowner, I don't recommend that.

I would recommend Raesz Custom Flooring (the company name by which I know them) http://austincustomfloors.com/ They will warranty their work and are quick to do punch if a situation should arise. added professional advice: If you do not have experience with remodels or have not had floors, showers, or backsplashes installed, go with a reputable company and these are the guys to do it for you.

You may be able to save money initially by trying to go directly to the guys doing the labor but if you don't have experience or knowledge you will end up spending so much more money in the end.
