Hughes installed a new heat pump for me. Their pricing was very reasonable. More importantly, though, was that their service was the best. They had my system installed before some other companies even responded to my calls. I had a minor problem shortly after the installation and their tech arrived and had the problem fixed in less than an hour. Faye coordinated everything and was a joy to work with. You can't go wrong with Hughes.

The people at the company are very personable. It's more like a family instead of just employees. They did a great job of installing my new A/C and heating unit. They're meticulous and did a great cleaning up afterwards. The owners go out of their to make sure the customer is satisfied. My experience with Hughes has been deplorable. We had a new Trane HVAC unit installed 10/2016. They have come out to our home numerous times to fix or replace thermostats and equipment. On 01/3/22 I contacted them because I was not getting heat from my system. They sent out a technician that afternoon. They told my husband that the unit had a leak that needed to be repaired, then put 5lbs of refrigerant in the unit.
They charged us for the call and the refrigerant (approx. $500.) They were going to email us a receipt and we have never received an email. When I arrived home later that evening from work the unit was still not working. I called Hughes that night and spoke with Fay who informed me that there was a leak that needed to be fixed and until it was taken care of, we would have no heat.
I asked her to have Mr. Hughes call me back as soon as possible. It is now 1/11/22, I have called Hughes and left messages with no return calls. My husband drove out to their office on 1/5/22 and the office was all locked up. We have now had 9 days with no heat in our home, and no call from Hughes.

I was referred to Hughes Air by a friend and it was the best recommendation I could have received. Hughes has been my heating and cooling provider since 2017. Everyone at Hughes is professional and knowledgeable. They come out within a timely manner and complete the work quickly and efficiently. Had a brand new AC installed in early 2021 and they did a great job! Unfortunately, less than 6 months later, my brand new AC unit was struck by lightening in a monsoon storm and some major repairs had to be done. Hughes Air came through for me again and made sure the repairs were done quickly and thoroughly and my insurance covered the majority of the expense, so it all worked out.

I've dealt with them several since they installed the brand new Trane. They helped arrange the financing via Wells Fargo. They were professional and responsive when they did the install, including a thermostat. We had a problem with a board that shorted out, and they came quickly to fix the board which shorted out again a month later. It has stayed fixed since then. If I have any other problems, I will give Hughes Air a call ASAP.

Our entire experience with Hughes Air was exceptional. The tech came out on Sunday and on Monday (which was Labor Day) they gave us a call to give us a quote. I can't remember all the names but Fay and Donna and the whole gang were terrific. We would recommend Hughes Air to everyone. By the way their prices were reasonable. Thank you, David and Joy Byers

Took 3 days for my AC unit to be repaired, which left my family without heat during a week where the temperature was in the 40's at night. Having a 2 month old in the house without heat was added stress that we just didn't need. Never felt like a priority of theirs, and showed up initially without even the ladder to get on the roof with ease. Just a really unprofessional experience from start to finish.

Last night my AC went out. asked some neighbors about who they would recommend. one said "hughes" so I called. the dispatcher said she thought she would have an opening in the morning and said she would call me back. she called back the next morning and said the tech would be by at 11 am. the tech came out diagnosed as a bad compressor and said it would be 300 for the service call.
I told him I had no idea it would be so much. the dispatcher never even quoted me a price one time, just that someone would come out so I refused to pay. then the tech got the owner on the phone who said "well you didn't expect for someone to come out for free did you?" I said "no, but i said had I been quoted a 300 dollar service call fee I would not have had anyone from your business come out at all". he said he would remove the "weekend charge" and asked for 150.00.
I felt pretty intimidated into paying this having never once discussed pricing and discovering later that I could have waited until Monday and had called other places who only charge 75.00. In any case if you do business with them get them to tell you up front what the service call price was. I went from being really thankful the company was nice enough to have someone come out today, but found out later that it came at a great cost, one that was not communicated up front

Awful/terrible/waste of time and money. Only spent 5-10min in diagnostics mode and wanted $89 to tell me I had a leak and I needed a new AC unit. Had two other companies out and one suggested new AC unit due to age.other fixed the issue/cleaned coils and filled Freon for $350. All fixed. Hughes doesn't care about fixing issues only cares about the easy upscale. Do not use!

If you are looking to replace your AC unit look no further! This company has proven itself! We had a new Trane unit installed along with a new furnace and ducting. The owner Jim came to our home and gave us an estimate. He was very thorough and professional. We set a date and time. They came out when they said they would and performed an excellent job!
Not one single complaint on our end! They were competent and clean. The owner's philosophy is to do the job well the very first time perfectly. It truly shows! We recommend this company to all in search of an amazing and reputable AC company!

What a great experience with Jim and the team at Hughes Air. I was having trouble with my breakers on a Friday at 4pm. I called Hughes and told Jim about the problem and he was at my house within the hour. He had me back up an running the same day. My 2 units were 16 years old.so I asked him for a quote for replacement. He came to me with a better price and system configuration than the other 3 guys which had quoted me earlier in the month.
His team was fast and courteous and installed my new Trane units the following week. He came back and double checked the work. No question that I will be using and recommending the Hughes team from here on out.

I just had Mark over. He told me he wanted to replace all of the ducts to do it the "right way". I told him we'd have to do it the wrong way. Also that thousands of homes in Arizona are exactly the same as mine. At that he got furious told me about his 30 yeasts of experience and stomped out, declaring something about burning out the motor and that his company refuses to do it the wrong way. Seeing how angry he was, he certainly made the right decision to leave, but it would have been ideal if he could have remained calm and explained to me how larger ducts create more resistance and burn out motors.

Our old unit finally went up in smoke - literally. We interviewed several HVAC installers to replace the heating and air. We chose Hughes because their are Trane certified, Mark, the owner, answered all our questions without a canned pitch, the bid was competitive, and the unit energy efficient. Plus I was able to get an attractive financing package.
The professional and polite installation crew did a terrific job, working at a remarkable pace. We are very pleased with this quiet new unit. Best part: confident that we made the right decision.

Hughes Air was wonderful to deal with! I had a Rosie certified company come out and they properly diagnosed the problem but the price they quoted me for a replacement fan motor that was on their truck was $500, not even the Trane proper replacement. When I checked with them the next morning, they said it would be $634. I had a feeling this was going to happen, as with so many other Rosie-on-the-House certified contractors, that made me look someplace else the night before and found Hughes.
I sent them an e-mail that evening and Jim the owner contacted me first thing in the morning and gave me a quote of $460 for the proper replacement for a Trane unit. Furthermore he was able to have Reno out at my house 4-5 hours later and in 30 minutes he had my unit purring along. Reno didn't try to sell me anything else and was very friendly and obviously knew what he was doing. I got several business cards because I will surely refer all my friends and family to Hughes. Great job!

My 16 year old A/C unit stopped working. My husband called a few companies for quotes. Hughes Air was the last company he spoke with. We were quoted a fair price for a quality product (Trane). The installers spent a day in our home installing the new system. I was working from home that day and the installers were so quiet that it was no disruption at all.
The owner came to my home during the middle of the day to check on the status of the installation. He also made sure I was happy with the work being done and did not have any unanswered questions. The Hughes Air staff was very professional and I will recommend the company to my neighbors and friends.

I contacted Hughes Air for service work after me neighbor recommended them. The service work was great, so I had Hughes bid a complete system replacement 2 years later. Not only was there price better than the 2 other companies I contacted, but I knew their service would be excellent as well. The techs who installed my systems were great and completed 2 heat pump systems in 2 days.
Everything works great and they answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. I had bad experience with several HVAC companies through my home warranty, but Hughes was nothing like that. Great people, great price, great service. I highly recommend!

I am SO pleased with Hughes Air! My AC went out at 8:45pm on a Sunday, and the worker was here by 10pm the same night despite working an already long day! He (Kenya) was so kind and professional, and he stayed until he knew my AC was fully functional again. The price was also very reasonable for such a last minute call! I will definitely be using them in the future for any air conditioning or heating needs! Thank you SO SO much!

This weekend with the record freeze, my central heat went out. I called Hughes Air and talked to Jim, the owner. He came out that night and found the problem, got the part and fixed it. He is knowledgeable, professional, curteous, and had compassion for not wanting my family to endure another freezing night.
