High-Tech Flooring & Design

This company does not hire people who know how to install tile floor. They installed tile floor in our new home only to have all the tile pop up due to poor installation. The tile they replaced it with popped up again due to poor installation. We are now having to replace all the tile in our home again due to this terrible company. Update from owners comment: after they replaced the defective floors with non defective tile, the tile popped up again within months. After having several flooring companies inspect my flooring, it was determined that the tile was not defective--the installation wasn't performed properly.

Very, very poor quality work with tile & all other flooring. Even in a new build! Tile & LVP had to be replaced & redone twice & is still not correct in a lot of areas. Work crews are inexperienced (from prep work to installation), poorly trained, careless & inattentive to details. They are not certified tile installers & do not adhere to industry standards for tile installation.

My wife and I have been in our new-home build for 13 months. During this time some things have needed to be re-done or replaced by our builder/ vendors. Some of the projects have gone well others have not. When Hi-tech has been involved we've been quite pleased. Rebecca, Sean, Gilbert, Julio and the 'crews' have been responsive, polite and very helpful compared to some other vendors. Hats off and three cheers to Hi-tech. Don and Jane B. Leander, Tx.

Enrique & his team did an excellent job removing the carpet in my office, replacing it with tile. I appreciated the professionalism, competence (skill knowledge), friendliness, and efficiency in which this team operated to get the job done. They were thorough, attentive to detail, and I am very happy with the outcome.

Enrique was pleasant to work with. We were in a time crunch to get our old tile removed and new flooring installed before we moved in. They were very punctual and Enrique was quick to answer any questions. We had all the old tile taken out and new tile installed in the bathrooms and the rest vinyl wood floors. They finished the work in a timely manner and the floors look great!

We were referred to Enrique at High Tech Flooring from our real estate agent. Enrique was fantastic, extremely responsive, always available and communicating throughout the process. High Tech showed up on time, completed the job as scheduled, and followed up to ensure we were happy with the outcome. We contacted High Tech Flooring and Design per recommendation from our newly constructed home's builder office and we're not disappointed to have done so. Our goal was to have the upstairs match the downstairs, and they helped us accomplish our goal. The best thing about working with Enrique is that he was quick to respond to any questions and he always made time to listen to our concerns.

The only thing I would ask is that they detail on the written agreement what the project will include and any steps the homeowner might need to take in order to fully complete it. While we did have a minor misunderstanding, partly because this was my first time having this type of work done in a home, Enrique and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied *and* happy with the final product. Thanks to Enrique for helping us make our little dream house a home!

We had a great experience with High-Tech Flooring & Design after our carpet was ruined in a carpet cleaning incident. Enrique was great in the quoting and planning process and the installers were prompt, quick, and thorough. The prices were competitive and we have zero complaints about the process. Would definitely use them again!

Our house suffered damage in the freeze and our flooring needed to be replaced. Finding anyone to call you back or do work at this time (~Feb/Mar 2021) was just about impossible b/c people were so busy and had their own issues to fix. Once the water mitigation folks did their thing (different company) we were able to work with Enrique. After a little phone tag at the start Enrique was fantastic.

He worked directly with our adjuster. Came out several times, worked with us on the right choice to change things out. We ended up not putting carpet back into part of the house and just ran the flooring throughout. It was a big project. They said 3 days and sure enough.3 days in and out. The crew they send out has had to come out a couple times to fix a few minor things we noticed which Enrique coordinated and was able to knock out within the day both times I called. If you're in the market, I'd recommend stopping by to see what options they have! Sorry, the pictures aren't the best.

Enrique was great to work with and very responsive! We have a newly built Trendmaker home that we chose to extend the tile that is throughout our home into the new office replacing the carpet. Simply put, the extension looks like it's always been there! We received excellent service and a quality installation! Would definitely recommend to others and would do business with them again! Decided to finally replace our 13 yr old carpet. Mike and the High-Tech team made the selection process easy by ordering samples shipped directly to us. The install went great and Henrique was in continual contact with us during the process. The install guys were great in moving around furniture and laying the carpet. When complete, the furniture was all moved back, scraps cleaned up, and floor vacuumed. We are quite happy with the product, install, and attention. These guys are great and I'd recommend them to any friend.

Initial contact with the sales person was not ideal due to lack/no communication. Owner Michael took over and we went through the quotes, picking carpet and installing. Everything went very well and very happy with the result. I would recommend business directly to him not the initial sales person.

Replaced carpet in 2/3 of our house. The selection process was made easy and the install went smooth. Equally important was the cleanup process and the customer attention throughout. This firm has great ownership and great installers. I'd use them again and refer them to any friend.

From start to finish Enrique was a great sales person. His responses were always timely and all work crews arrived on time and completed the project quickly and well. Kiddos to Enrique and his team. They did an outstanding job removing carpet and laying new tile in our Master and our game room. Was very please to see that Enrique was able to match the new tile with the existing floor tile that was 4 years old. At the end of each day Enrique crew Carlos and Christian made sure to clean up the surrounding areas. They have a large showroom with beautiful choices. Installation and customer service is wonderful. I would highly recommend this business!

We had a great experience working with Enrique and his team. They did an excellent job laying tile throughout my house. Enrique was very helpful in the beginning stages of picking out the tile. He even let us bring a sample tile home to compare it with our stairs and countertops. Enrique and his team were very fast and professional. I had a great experience with High-Tech Flooring. They were able to find us a specialty carpet, deliver, and install it earlier than had anticipated. Other companies could not find the specialty carpet at all! The install guys were great. They cleaned up after themselves, showed up on time, and took away the old carpet. I would use this company again!

High-Tech did repair work for my builder. The inspection, ordering the tile and the installation were all handled on time and professionally. Very satisfied.

They installed wood flooring in my new house and then came back to do some cleanup. They really did a great job. The floors look great and they provided great customer service.

We have been wanting to replace our carpet.and pretty much all flooring throughout our house for about 6 years. We decided to do two of our bedrooms as a start ( will finish when time and money allows) Petty Tile was the 3 place we stopped in to shop for carpet after being ignored at one place and then having major sticker shock at another. we were greeted promptly and given the layout of the store front to ease our experience. Sunny was our sales rep. SHE WAS OUTSTANDING!

Very helpful when we needed it.and gave us space and time while we were trying to decide. The carpet and installation was also perfect! If you are looking for flooring and more. I highly recommend these folks. About the installation: I cannot say enough about their professionalism! Needless to say we know where we will go for the next rooms.

She was able to picture in her head what the kitchen would look like better than I could, and I trusted her judgement and experience. She is very nice and not too pushy. She ordered the tiles, and they came in a couple of days. My contractor's guy installed them, and we are very satisfied. The kitchen looks beautiful.

Thank you for making the recent renovation of my master bath/shower a tremendous success! David was delightful to work with, and was always available to answer my questions. I must admit, I feel a bit spoiled. Can't wait to begin my next project with High Tech!

We have had the pleasure of working with your company and your outstanding associates on several different occasions over the last two years. High-Tech has provided and installed carpet, new distressed wood floors, and tile for outdoor patios. We have always been very pleased with the installation and results.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE! I placed a tile order on a Thursday and was told that they call me soon since the supplier was in town. I called them the following Saturday to check on a status since no one called me back and they didn't know. I was told they'd call me back. About two hours went by and I called back again and they still didn't know.

Finally got a call saying that what I ordered was discontinued and that I should have been contacted. I asked for a refund and still have not seen it. I went to another company who had the exact same tile and guess what NOT discontinued! Looks like they don't know what they are doing or care about customer service. Plenty of other places in town. Don't go there!

Seems like problems after problems with this place. Was told my tiles arrived but the next day while I was on the way, they told me there was a mistake. Had to turn around and go home. But luckily in came Amy. She arranged for the tiles to be dropped off at my house instead of me driving back again. Also credited me $100. I'm glad the manager there is much better qualified for the position. Now if only all employees there were at the same competence.

Hello, my name is Christy Oliver. My husband and I stopped by High Tech Flooring and Design months ago. We were just beginning a huge remodel of a home we had purchased. Upon stopping in, we were fortunate enough to meet an amazing guy named Carlye. In no time at all, we had chosen our hard wood floors (with Carlye's help of course). The flooring was on sale at that time, so we gave them a deposit to order and hold our flooring until it was time for the hardwood floors to be installed. Carlye, is very professional, informative and most importantly HONEST.

The installers were equally as great! They worked for two days demoing the old floors in the entire house. By the end of the third day, the new hardwood floors were fully installed. They are AMAZING! We are extremely happy that we stopped by High-Tech Flooring that day. We will definitely recommend High-Tech Flooring and Design to anyone who is considering new flooring. My husband and I have wanted to remove our carpet and replace it with wood or vinyl flooring. We opted for vinyl, that looks like wood, since it is more scratch resistant and we have a 70 lb lab. We love the flooring. I will say however, if you have any questions about how you want your floor installed, ask the installer for suggestions, not the salesperson.

The salesperson told us we needed to put molding around the bottom on our hearth, the installer said it would look better to grind away some of the brick and then install the flooring. It looks great. Also, the installer will give you a better idea of how to lay your floor, meaning which direction will look best.

Following up to this review. I feel that because the building industry in austin is booming that contractors have been given a pass on customer service and quality work. After writing my last review the owner, instead of contacting me, emailed me on this site. Seems my rating has caused a bit of an issue with the overall rating on yelp. I am still waiting for the pen that was promised to fix the work myself. Yelp is the only platform consumers can go to provide feedback. I would gladly give a good rating if deserved.
