Much like other reviews on here, I had an appointment that he never showed up for. I took tim eoff work to have my furnace serviced and inspected for a home I'm selling. We wasted days on this appointment, now have to go through another company to have the work done. I called him 3 times after the end of the appoitnment time, and I still haven't heard back from him.
I left a VM for him saying he never showed for our apointment and we'll be going with someone else, not a peep in response. I'm surprised he's still in business at all.

My experience with Erik Lerum was one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. I live in a large manufactured home community and called my park office when my furnace stopped working and he was recommended. When Erik arrived he quickly diagnosed that the thermo-coupler was defective and replaced it charging a total of $180. That was on Friday.
I called him on Saturday and explained to him that the pilot light would not stay on which was the original problem. He said he would be over at 9am Monday morning and was a no show. I called him and he defiantly denied ever making those arrangements with me and said he was in the middle of a new furnace install but could come out in the afternoon.
After arriving he did a couple tests and I watched him break a $15 limiter switch which he later charged me for. He left to obtain another one and installed it when he returned. He billed me for $80. $65.00 for labor which should have been 0$ since it was a warranty call and for the part he broke and after he left the heater was still not fixed! I had to call another company and pay after hours emergency rates (A cold front coming in overnight with temps expected to be in the teens) What they found was the thermo-coupler he installed was defective due to his incompetent faulty installation(thin brass gas line pinched).
I had to pay the second company $431 but at least my furnace is working now. I contacted Mr. Lerum about all of this and he hasn't offered any re-imbursement whatsoever and basically is just ignoring me. I have thought about taking him to small claims court but it more than likely will cost me more than I will be awarded from missed time at work. I hope he enjoys what he stole from me and this review costs him much more. If I could give him a zero rating I would.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. We scheduled a follow up (because their first install didn't pass the inspection) for 10:45am. After thirty minutes I called and got no answer. Called again 10 minutes later and was told they were running 45 minutes behind. No apologies, no call to let me know. Another hour and 15 minutes later they show up (ignore my note not to ring my doorbell because of my sleeping infant) and don't say a word about being so late or apologize for the inconvenience. Nothing! Then, the thermostat stopped working after they left so I had to call again to get instruction on how to fix it myself. Also, they used my restroom without asking. Which to me felt strange. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

These guys are rock stars! They are there 24/7 and I really do mean 24/7! They always show up exactly when they are supposed too and never have a problem helping you solve whatever issue you are having. They. have done everything from full commercial installs to tune ups and trouble shooting. I highly recommend them and I'm a very picky person.

I had a gas furnace with a pilot light go out on me about 4 winters ago. It was at the coldest time of the year and reached below 10 degrees that week. Erik Lerum, of Lerum Heating, replaced my furnace with a new model, including and electric starter. He has maintained it ever since. It runs very well and I am very satisfied with his work.
