K & B Landscape

About 7 months after job completion, another big crack in the same place developed. We informed them and Michael came in with his tile experts and went over the repairs. He did not indicate before commencing work that they were going to charge us. It's been less than a year and they have a 1 year warranty! No document, text, email, nor verbal amount or rate was discussed for this fix work, which we assumed was under warranty as the previous fix. (See original review.) We even provided the tiles, and ordered new tiles just in case more cracks would develop.

They did not consent to a to a price or estimate before work began and lack of a that presentation supported the assumption that work was under warranty and covered. We just received an email telling us to mail in a check. even THAT didn't have an itemized breakdown of the work. I don't know if they will honor the plant warranty that was brought up when they came to do this fix. The initial work was good and we were happy with it, but this subsequent interaction does not meet our expectations.

I called K&B for an entire landscape refresh. They did my original softscape and hardscape 15 years ago. They did a phenomenal job then and again this time around. What distinguishes K&B for me is the professional, competitive and thorough sales process, responsiveness, very capable project management and onsite crew who showed up on time daily and left the premises clean after each day's worth of work. A big thank you to Allen Walsh, Daniel Jimenez, Alfredo and crew, and Michael Kobold! Much appreciate the help.

Simply put, K&B Landscape made our dream come to life. Our process started with Allen, who walked us through the bidding process for our project. I was extremely impressed and appreciative with how honest and straightforward he was with the details of what we wanted to accomplish and the prices we were looking at. After these conversations with Allen, we chose K&B because we felt like we were getting the highest quality work within the budget range we had in mind.

We had a flexible budget and I appreciated that Allen didn't try to upsell me on things that I didn't need. He took exactly what we wanted to accomplish and made some very helpful suggestions using the perspective of his experience. Once we chose K&B for our project, I was extremely impressed with the feeling of "all hands on deck" that they provided. Michael personally managed our project and was here every day to ensure it was progressing to our satisfaction.

I was very specific about a lot of the details of how I wanted our yard to turn out, and at every turn, Michael and his team's attitude was "we can make it happen." Michael is truly a master of his craft and provided more additional guidance for how to make our vision come to life. He also helped us choose many beautiful varieties of plants to suit our taste.

While the job was underway, the work crews of anywhere between 3 and about 7 guys showed up every day, on time, and were very approachable about things I wanted do discuss or questions I had. I would not consider myself "low maintenance" and I was always met with positivity and a "can do" attitude. Now that the job is finished, Michael has walked me through maintenance of our yard and how to keep it looking fresh, heathy, and the plants growing beautifully.

It is clear that they are not the "cut and run" type. They are enthusiastic about maintaining a relationship should there be anything I need or questions I have in the future. If you couldn't tell already, I can't say enough about this company. I am so glad we chose them to do our work. We are going to be enjoying this space for the long haul. I have already referred them to family and friends. Thanks guys!

K & B Landscape Services were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We began the process by working with Alex, the designer. She was very receptive to the ideas and visions that my husband and I had for our backyard. The team of workers and the project manager Chris, were all organized, prompt, hard working, and easy to communicate and work with throughout the entire project. We had him instal SOD and Bushes and both are dead! I had to start to re-seed the lawn last year just before winter and again in spring! We asked him time and time again to fix he never did, now we have to take him to small claims court! Sincerely S Ryan

I was fortunate enough to be referred to this business by a friend. I was amazed at the work they did in her backyard and didn't even have a need but after seeing her yard I did. I was contacted by the operations Manager Chris Carper in regards to the huge undertaking that was going to happen in the next few weeks. He was so professional, delivered all the information and answers I needed and offered additional options of things I was wanting. My yard came out amazing, more than I ever could have dreamt of. Called for some information and a quote - was asked "are you spending more than $30k min?" When I said I don't know yet, your person hung up on me. GREAT PROSPECTING and customer service. If there was a Zero star you'd get one. Sad too because I have a lot of landscaping to do and was spending a whole lot more than "$30K min"

We did a significant "refresh" of our front and back yard. Additionally, we added lighting to pathways and landscaped areas. The initial sales process with John Fifer was professional and consultative. We agreed on the scope of the job and cost. The next step was to do the work. We were nothing short of "blown away" by the knowledgeable project manager Chris Carper and his team.

They were efficient, competent, and communicated the work progress with us frequently. Even when we ordered several change orders, they never missed a beat. This may be the best project we have ever executed at our home. These guys are the absolute best at what they do. Each worker showed great personal pride in their craft. If you are thinking about a big project, this is the company to use hands down.

Total joke of a company. Ready to give them a check for $20K+ but my cash was no good so they did not return my phone call and email. Unless you have a $million project or you have cleaner cash do NOT waste your time.

We re-did our landscape in our backyard, including a pool. While K&B did not do the pool, they were a subcontractor to our pool contractor for the concrete decking, and we contracted directly with K&B to do irrigation, drainage, lighting, planting and lawn. We worked with their plant designer, Julie, and she did a great job. The crews were great, and once the crews got onsite, it felt like they were dedicated to our project. Michael was also great to work with, and was very fair and generally communicated very well with us.

During the project, we added the front yard, and K&B was able to handle the scope change without any issues. They started on time, worked through some very hot summer days, and delivered a great product. If you are looking for landscape work, I would have no problem recommending you get a proposal from Michael and the team at K&B.

K and B Landscape transformed our backyard to a stunning oasis, it turned out beautiful. The crews were very professional and went out of their way to provide an excellent level of service. Michael was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They were very diligent in following through with our requests, they made sure we were completely satisfied. I would highly recommend them, we look forward to them doing our front yard next year.

KB Landscape completed the hardscaping phase of backyard remodel when pool was installed. Overall crew did a good job with completing the paver installation. Unfortunately backyard main sprinkler line controls were installed under pavers which resulted in leaking after work was complete. Rather than fix the problem, am now left searching for another company to fix their work having to pay further out of pocket. Emails and communications have since gone unanswered thus far.

We could not recommend Michael and his entire crew enough. From start to finish everyone was so courteous and professional. We couldn't believe the detail that went into every aspect of our backyard project. We had a design to go off of and it turned out better than we ever expected. I believe Michael's crew has been with him for almost two decades and it shows. After a month, plants are growing in well, the grass looks phenomenal, and we are so happy with the entire project.

We used K&B recently to re-landscape our yard following pool refurb. Fairly big job to install drainage, irrigation, grass, lightning etc. Very good experience working with Michael and his team in particular their project lead Manuel. We had a couple of issues with plants dying (which are covered under warranty) and Manuel came and took care of these. Will definitely use again.

We recently used K&B for a complete front yard re-landscaping and are very happy to recommend their services. Their crews were very friendly and easy to work with and completed the project within their projected timeline. We were most concerned about drainage issues and were very impressed With not only the drainage installation but also the irrigation system and masonry work. All was completed in a very professional way.

K&B told us from the beginning that their prices were a bit higher than others but when we saw the design work and finished product from past jobs, it made sense to spend a little more for vastly superior quality since this was an additional investment on our home.

The onsite crew were very friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised when they finished our yard almost a month earlier than expected though it was likely due to a lack of rain during winter. Our walk through was very thorough and they touched up anything that didn't meet their high standards. Definitely a great experience as we really had no idea what we wanted to originally and they helped guide us based on what we liked.

This is an established company with a broad range of capabilities, at least 7 crews, 20+ year veteran employees, and a management that has the integrity to guarantee the quality of their work, even when it costs them money. They corrected the few minor problems that did come up without hesitation or additional expense. The value proposition really begins with Jennifer Craven, their designer.

Though not a landscape architect, I actually found that her design suggestions more closely met our design objectives than those of the landscape architect I originally hired. Our projects required only conventional techniques, so I am not qualified to comment on K&B's capabilities relative to any advanced construction technologies, nor can I comment upon their capabilities relative to large-scale cement work. However, I wholeheartedly recommend this company to any homeowner looking to invest in a landscaping upgrade.

We hired K&B Landscaping in 2011, after a horrible experience with Veranda Landscaping. Michael and his team came into a partially completed project filled with errors and mismanaged work. I was very glad to bring them on and finally work with a group that was honest, stayed on schedule, were upfront about additional costs based on changes or modifications.

We had a fairly sizable project with a custom BBQ, fire pit, over 200 plants and tons of lights. My husband and I believe in good construction work that lasts. K&B has a handful of really solid, good workers and craftsmen and we were very happy with the results. To date, should we have any problems, Michael will send someone over to have a look. But to be honest, we have not had any except for a few plants dying early on, which they replaced.

I highly recommend them. Please don't be fooled by cheap quotes. Good yard landscaping is not cheap. Unfortunately, these days you find too many landscapers that cut corners without your knowledge and years later you wonder why the retaining wall is shifting, why there are cracks in front steps, why the pavers keep having to be refilled with sand. Good work, like K&B's will look good many years later. I highly recommend them.
