Hector and his guys did a sewer lateral replacement for us. They were unable to do trenchless because of the slope of our existing line. They did a great job doing regular trenched line to the center of the street. The inspector was impressed with their work as were we. No one wants to spend money on a new sewer line, but when you need one call Hector.

Made an appointment for Friday with Hector, he asked me to call him on Thursday to remind him. I called him and it was a go for Friday. I got there at 11am and at 11:40 I texted him to find out when he was going to arrive. At 12:10 I called and left a message and told him that I was leaving and that would be would have to reschedule. And I never heard from them again. Definitely would not recommend using them.

Called Pro Rooter after noticing a water leak in my front yard. They replaced our water main line. Was prompt and on time. Worked clean and efficient. I was impressed with their work.

The guy Chilo came because we had asked to fix a sewage drain caused by roots and dirt stuck in the storm drain for years caused by the previous house owner. We agreed on a $300 since the pipe went straight, but at the end he asked for $400 even though spent a total of an hour cleaning the pipes. The worst part is after he left it was still clogged with a bunch of roots throughout the pipe that we had to get out ourselves.

Before he left, he also misinformed us about a misalignment in the pipes and asked us if we wanted to fix it for $900. We opened it up ourselves to find out that there was no misalignment but a bunch of roots clogged that was causing what he though was the misalignment. That was a total scam. Would not recommend that guy.

This guy Hector scheduled two appointments with me, first time never show. Then Daisey on second time, she scheduled for him to come out again. Appointment was at 5.no show, then I called him at like 5:30, he said he was on the way as he was wrapping up in Castro Valley. No call again & Never show up! He then had the nerves to text me few days later and asked if he can come out to provide a quote.

Why would I want to do business with someone who is so unprofessional and doesn't respect people's time? They over booked their appointments and plumbers have no decency to update customers when they can't make it. I would not do business with these guys.

These guys are fantastic. We had two other very high end and experienced plumbers come in to try to fix a blockage, both failed! Then we called Pro Rooter and within 20 minutes of arriving they had fixed the issue. Ask for Chilo! He is an expert and succeeds where others fail.

We are very impressed with Pro Rooter. We worked with Hector and his crew for a large job. We needed our house main (lateral) completely replaced both outside the house to the street main and under the house in the crawlspace. We received several bids but chose to go with Hector since he was able to solve our earlier sewer backup and is licensed. He has all his own equipment and didn't subcontract any part of the job.

We are very impressed with his attention to detail and quality of work, after cleanup the yard looks great as well as the street. Definitely recommend Hector and his crew for any job requiring some serious work.

We live in an Eichler in Castro Valley and had a major backup in the sewer line from the kitchen and laundry room. The first plumber that we called got his snake stuck in the drain and could not get it out. Hector from Pro Rooter came out on a Friday night to help solve the problem. He spent about an hour and a half working on the problem and discovered that there was a large break in the sewer line that runs under the concrete slab.

The line had to be replaced. Instead of cutting through the slab we decided to reroute the line to the outside of the house and across the driveway to connect to the main line. Hector and his crew are very skilled and they did an excellent job. I would recommend Pro Rooter for large or small jobs.

I choose Richard among all other contractors to repipe my water main and got a very good experiences today! He used a part of underground piping instead of digging up whole path between water meter and water main, saved a time and effort for the repair work later on, as well as kept drive way untouched as much as possible. He finished the piping work in just about six hours almost exactly as he told me at beginning, no any surprise.

In addition, the price and warranty are reasonable in terms of this high quality work. I am so satisfied with his work, and will use him again if there is similar issue later on.

They were nice to give me a call before arriving, good price, good work. I really would like to recommend Ely. The timing of arrival was pretty close to the estimated by the dispatcher.

We recently discovered a large 200 gallons/day leak at our residence. When the leak was discovered, we called Pro Rooter plumbing, a highly recommended plumbing company. Hector and his crew arrived within a couple of hours, and fixed the leak in about an hour. This leak went undetected for more than a year because we did not check our water bill carefully enough, so that we were very relieved that Hector's crew could fix it so quickly. Rip off. Do not use these people. We had a clogged toilet in our bathroom. We called for an estimate and was quoted $150.00 for arrival and clearing the drain. When they arrived it was changed to $175.00? Then the plumber told my wife he needed to get under the house to open the pipes. My wife told him that this has never happened before, no one ever had to fool with the pipes.

Thank god she didn't let him under our home. She told him to just fix the clog from the toilet. He told her that he needed to remove two toilets to remove the clog. He then told her that the cost would be $425.00. $175.00 for the call $50.00 to pull toilets and $100.00 to reseat each toilet. Reseating the toilet should be required and included with there removal cost.

What good is a clog removal without resetting a toilet. We called other plumbers to confirm this. He had already removed one toilet. The wife called me and explained the problem. I told him to just unclog the drain and I would reseat the toilet. The wax ring was 2 dollars and it took 2 minutes. My wife told me that Chilo was well spoken and easy to understand, but when I spoke to him on the phone he spoke very broken English and became very hard to understand.

I normally don't write reviews but how many little old ladies does this guy rip off. Can you imagine what this guy gets away with. What about people with no clue as to what needs to be done. I hope this review saves somebody from getting ripped off. Do not trust these people.

Update: 05/2018, Just had Richard come this weekend to fix our kitchen sick again. Ten thousand stars for these guys, they are always efficient, professional, and so nice! First review: I highly recommend Richard and his plumbing company. Our bathroom sink got blocked the Monday before Thanksgiving. I let my landlord know that afternoon, but because it was a short week, I didn't expect to hear from anyone until the following Monday. Richard got in touch Tuesday and was willing to come out that night (I couldn't due to my schedule) and even the Wednesday before Thanksgiving!

I did not want to make him come out on a day my own work had given me off, but today, the Friday after Thanksgiving, he was here with prompt, courteous service. He fixed our sink in no time, left no mess behind, put things back afterwards. Great customer service and skill level.

We had a hot water plumbing leak under the concrete floors. Got quie a lot of job quotations and Hector of Pro Rooter provided the best price. Hector and his team suggested to repipe my entire plumbing system with copper instead of just fixing the leak which costs more to fix. When they opened the shower tub and faucet wall, they saw dryrots on the wall and underneath the tub. They suggested to replace the entire shower and tub for again a fraction of the cost and they indeed did a wonderful job. They are good, quick, and neat.

I've used Pro Rooter 3 times. I met Hector 2 years ago and was struck by his personable and professional manner. My fixer needed a sewer line repaired and under the house pipe work that was done poorly by another general contractor. I found Pro Rooter's bid to be very in line with and actually below other Handymen's quotes. Both jobs were tough and dirty, but the guys were quick, thorough and tidy. Finally, my house no longer 'leaks': As I worked with Hector and his guys in diagnosing and pricing my plumbing issues, I never told them of my 25 yrs experience as a business unit manager, negotiating contracts with maintenance vendors for Fortune 50 companies.

To most, I appear as woman who lives alone with only a cat. And not once did Pro Rooter disappoint me in the bids quoted and the work they performed. I will highly recommend them to all my friends in the bay area. Jennifer

The owner who picked up the phone, Jin, was very reliable. I needed help because I had sewer problems and he stayed true to his word. He was honest and told me that they have a short supply of workers so there would have to be wait. But they were still able to make it to my house on time. If you have plumbing problems this is the place to call! Definitely going to call them again when I need help.

I needed the plumbing system fixed right away since the bathroom and toilet were completely clogged. I called them at 2 and they said they would arrive at 4. Instead they arrived 3 HOURS late and charged me $350 for 5 minutes of work. Don't use them! I definitely will never use them again.
