Eastside Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., was started in 1966 by Vern Stoelting with a mission of furnishing his customers with the best in customer service and satisfaction. In 1969 Doug Turner joined Eastside as a service tech and later became a partner. Vern retired in 1981. In 1980 Randy Burke came to work at Eastside becoming a partner a few years later.
Today Eastside Heating carries on that tradition which Vern started with an experienced installation and service staff. We now have arguably the best employees in the business who with continuing education and commitment offer solid value for your investment dollar.

The best experience I've ever had with commercial hvac installers. Nathan and Martin Very kind and courteous, and they got the job done, they new what they were doing. Very clean, they even installed a new thermostat that wasn't on their ticket. And my dog loved them Their sales rep was Awesome Justin P He found an open spot for us a lot sooner than we expected. I can't say enough about this company. We called about our heat pump not working and the first thing the person answering the phone did was to try and help me over the phone with trouble-shooting suggestions. She probably spent 15 minutes trying to help us avoid a service call. Despite her efforts, we still needed a technician's assistance.
After the initial appointment, they had to come back on the weekend because the original solution failed. THEN they came back again the following Monday and really did fix it, and without any additional charges and no charges for the weekend work either. They also went out of their way to accommodate our work schedules. I couldn't be more impressed. Call these folks. You won't be disappointed.

My electric heater (part of heat pump) stopped working last week. I called First Call and scheduled a service call. In the meantime, the heater started working, but I wanted to have the system checked. Chris showed up right on time. He was friendly and expert--explaining to me the workings of the system and checking ti thoroughly inside and out to make sure everything was working correctly.
I am really impressed with his knowledge and his advice to me about maintaining my vac system. I learned from him; in short, many thanks! I'm now a dedicated First Call customer.

Want to say how pleased I was with your service tech, Dillon. He arrived on time, was very personable with a great sense of humor and asked a lot of questions to figure out what had happened after our recently installed gas pack (heat/air) combo unit when last night, the unit stopped working. I waited a bit and tried various things as listed in the manual. Dillon came today and went through all the steps.
After a last round of questions, he went to check one more item. That was the problem. A unit which triggers the heat to be on or off and was not part of the current installation and was from the old unit. (Hope I described it correctly!) He then fixed as best he could and started arranging for getting the right people out to fix it. Good job, Dillon!

We have had a maintenance contract with them for 5 years now. The technician who came out the last 2 years is fine, but the administrative staff are AWFUL. They have not scheduled service in a timely manner, we had to nag them. They sent out 3 invoices for the same thing - one after another - clearly unfamiliar with their contracts with their customers.
Then when we advised them to review our contract - terms are payment due withing 30 days -- they just ignored it. They called me advising payment was past due, it was not even close to 30 days after service; and they claim to have not received any communications from us. The office staff has offended and alienated us as customers. We'll be taking our business elsewhere - this is not worth the hassle.

First Call has been my "go to" for over 20 years and still in place! The customer service staff is most courteous and always takes time to answer my questions. Any issues or concerns are professionally and smoothly resolved. The First Call technicians go the extra mile in repair and maintenance of my furnace. Their knowledge, experience, thoroughness of inspections and attention to details is superior. Always a good attitude too! Would I recommend First Call? Yes!

In a time of dire need, all the people that we dealt with at First Call were outstanding. Justin, in sales, did a thorough job of outlining what would be the best options for our situation without overselling. And, he followed up with us after the job was completed to make sure we felt comfortable with the operation of the new furnace. Jason and Kurt did a wonderful job on the installation.
They were very experienced. Calls to the office were politely and efficiently handled by Diane in the Installation area, and by Victoria and Samantha in billing. What a great team of Professionals to work with!

We've used First Call for 5 years since we moved into our home. Had an emergency and the fire department said no heat until we could get it checked. They got a tech out the next day, less than 24 hours without heat in winter was a huge blessing for this momma. Everyone I spoke to was polite and helpful including the after hours person. Just had a furnace installation to replace our 70+ year old oil furnace. We had a gas furnace even though we really wanted an electric heat pump (we were told that the cost of adjusting our electrical to conform to requirements for an electric heat pump would be quite high). we had several bids and First call was very fair and lower than the others.
First call did a great job from top to bottom. They took care of everything, and the communication was outstanding all the way through. The work was good and the installation team cleaned everything up nicely. Zero complaints here. The furnace is a Trane unit, so we will see how that turns out over the years.

A 92 year old friend needed heat pump service recently. He was charged $278 for a 120/240-24v transformer that sells for $39 on Amazon (markup 700%!). The heat pump has been running fine for 7 years with a simple 1H/1C thermostat (retails at approx. $35), but First Call decided he needed a $250 Honeywell FocusPro 5000 thermostat. First Call gave a 5% senior discount of $33.35 - whoopee! Somebody got ripped off, and it wasn't First Call Heating & Cooling!

My Furnace was making a loud roaring sound. I called a few other companies before this one. They told me nothing was wrong. I am so happy I went with first call. I would love to say that they are amazing. They will tell you what you need and don't need. Punctual and friendly. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs their Furnace or a/c fixed, replaced or maintenance. They even gave a thank you gift for being a first time customer : thank you again.

Our furnace has died. Sales rep Jason said that outages are a priority. Promised a delivery on Oct 6 and installation on Oct 21. They were happy to have us sign for a sale, then ghosted us. We're now being told by some agent (Stephanie? Sara? Susan? I don't know, some S-name and when I got it wrong she got pissed off at me) that they "don't know" what will be sent from the distributor, or when. And we should expect a furnace in "maybe 60 days." I asked Jason to call me back. Left him a VM. Ghosted. Lie to get the sale. Deliver nothing. Losers.

First Call is the best. They respond very quickly and get someone out right away without charging an emergency or urgent fee. They were very accommodating of my personal preference for them so send the same tech as the diagnostic call. Daniel was my tech. So polite, just so nice and respectful to me, a senior citizen. Daniel went above and beyond, by securing a couple of loose boards for me that were not part of the furnace maintenance call.
You have a good employee there and he is a credit to your company. First Call Heating and Daniel provide exemplary service and I would recommend them when you need HVAC work.

We bought our house over a year ago and had yet to have the AC serviced. Finally had them do it and the tech, Harvey did an amazing job. We have done business with First Call for a couple of years, and each time they have always done excellent work with professional employees. We were so impressed when all 5 of the employees arrived, and with all that was required to install a new furnace and a/c unit they coordinated their work and everything went so smoothly. They finished within the amount of time the salesperson set up for the job.
They also have a call center for customers after they're closed for the day. This company has been around for a long time and will be there when or if I have a problem. The salesperson listened to what we ask for and did not try to sell us something we didn't need. We would highly recommend this company.

People were nice and they did not perform shoddy work for us. Our system was installed by East Side Heating and Cooling and our motor broke. I called Monday they looked up history told me about previous services 2013 and 2015 as if they were East Side. Ready to take money for services as if they were original installer. When it was discovered that the workmanship of Eastside caused the current issues, Brad wrote: "Please call me, we did not install your equipment.
You're on your own. Eastside installed it and they are out of business" On the phone he indicated they made a mistake not telling me they bought the number and assets. Brad was nice, but I still feel like this manner of getting customers somehow lacks virtue.

After a remodel involving moving our A/C unit, it just didn't cool our house. During the recent 116 degree heat wave our house reached 90. I decided to have someone look at the unit. Tech Scott came and systematically went through the system. Removing 2 pounds of refrigerant our A/C now really cools the house. Well worth the wait. It's nearly 100 outside but it's 72 inside!

After a remodel, my A/C unit failed to cool my home when the temperature rose into the mid 90's. I called First Call and a couple of weeks later they were able to schedule a tech. The first tech arrived, new on the job and due to a lack of tools, was dispatched elsewhere. The second tech Scott arrived. He systematically went through the system and eventually removed two additional pounds of coolant from the system. My house now stays at 73 degrees on the 90+ degree days.

This is a little late in coming, but better late than never. I had First Call replace my entire heating and air system in July 2019. They did a great job and we've been happy with the system and their following-up for servicing. I had to contact them last week as I noticed that the heat pump stopped working late in the afternoon last Tuesday. Yes, the day that it was 99 in McMinnville.
I spoke with Clint early Wednesday morning, he listened to me and then had a repairman (Harvey) out to my house just before 9am. It took Harvey about 45 minutes to locate the problem and fix it. Turned out to be some lose wiring and a blown fuse. Their dedication to their clients and their professionalism in standing behind their product is unmatched. Thank you First Call for a great experience!

I was blown away by Nick's expertise and ability to troubleshoot. Another company had tried and failed to fix my AC; their recommendation was to switch to ductless air. I might choose to do that sometime in the future, but I just don't have the $13,000 to go with that option. I decided to call First Call for a second opinion and I'm so happy that I did! Nick took the time to listen to the symptoms of the problem and was able to identify a solution that the other company had missed.
He was thorough, kind, and explained his process as he went along. Nick also changed my air filter free of charge. I am definitely satisfied with my experience and will be recommending First Call to anyone who could benefit from their services. Thank you for saving the day!

When I purchased my home in 1999 it had a behemoth of an old Iron Fireman furnace from the mid-30's-early-40's still clanking away. The prior owner had kept receipts from prior servicing going back at least 30 years. Most were from First Call. So, when I needed that furnace serviced I called First Call. Years later I was able to finally upgraded to a new furnace, and First Call expertly walked me through selecting and purchasing a new machine, demo'd and removed the old furnace, installed the new one plus a new thermostat.
The work site was spotless when their team left. Since then First Call has been literally the first call for any service needed, and there have been a few. Every time First Call's staff are prompt, courteous, helpful, and professional. The service team have been exceptionally capable, friendly, and professional, and each took a personal interest in the safe and effective operation of our system. Due to a crack in our heat exchanger we were in the need of a new HVAC system to replace our 17 years system we started our research on all the top brands and little brother brands. We settled on Trane because they are USA made and the reviews from others. First Call from the instant we reached out started the most impressive customer service we have ever experience.

Great service all around! We needed to replace our 1978 model t version of a furnace, the pilot clogged and wouldn't light and knew it was going to fail soon. Got a very detailed explanation from Stephen on our choices of new models, very easy to understand, also helped us pick what would best suit our house size and overall needs. Offered excellent incentives and discounts along with a great payment plan.
The pricing was so good that we added an A/C install as well. Both the replacement furnace and the new A/C install only took 2 days and the work done by Luke and Spencer is extraordinary. I used another company and will now use First Call because of Chester the tech that came to our home. The customer service was so professional and he was very knowledgeable. Gave us tips on how to keep up maintenance with them. Now we are on their annual maintenance plan. Such a relief! A couple of days ago, our air conditioning went out. No air at all out of the vents. Panic! Because in a few days, it's predicted to be 100 degrees. Our technician was Scott, and he's terrific. I liked the way he talked us through the troubleshooting process, explaining everything along the way. Our problem, it turns out, was in our furnace, specifically the capacitor. Scott explained why, and he double-checked several other things. Bingo!
We have cold air again. The other thing that I liked is that he talked to us about the furnace itself, and I feel so much better-educated about it than before. For me, when something goes wrong in my house, I panic because it makes you feel a bit helpless. Just caught First Call heating and cooling in a scam. REN came to service my A/c I paid the $189. He then said all I had left to pay was for the part itself, a new capacitor. Okay, he said the part is $160.38 I paid. When he left I took a picture of new part. I looked online and found same exact part new for $4.16, $7.88 on Amazon and $7.54 on eBay. I called back 3 times and got the runaround about all their expenses like travel, vehicles, insurance, gas. Beware. Thanks a lot REN.

We added a A/C unit to our house with these guys, and everything works great. We got quotes from 3 different companies and these guys came out as clear winners. They have been in business since the 70's, the salesman was a former installer so he knew the pros/cons of locating the system and modifying the ducting.
