Pioneer Gas Furnace

Our old Portland home only had central head and with the summers getting warmer and warmer I knew I needed to get an A/C unit installed. I reached out to Pioneer Gas Furnace about 3-4 months ago and the lady I spoke to on the phone was actually able to give me a rough estimate which was great! I got multiple bids and no other company was able to give me even a rough estimate over the phone. Mike (who I believe is the owner) came by my home a couple of weeks later and was nothing but professional and kind.

He thoroughly explained the situation and gave me a few quotes to choose from. All well within the range of the rough estimate! Mike was not sales-y at all (which almost every other company was) and gave me a clear picture of what to expect with each option. He even said one of the lower cost options would be perfectly fine because my house didn't need the top shelf A/C units due to it being single story and not huge.

It was so relieving to just get honest answers. His bid came in well under the other bids and I booked the appointment. Fast forward two months later and the install goes 100% smoothly. Even the electrician they contracted with was wonderful. Everyone was professional and thorough in their work. I had bought a new thermostat prior to the appointment and they installed it for me at no additional cost! I can't recommend Mike and his team enough. Critical:Professionalism Just got a call back about a quote. Had some clarification questions and got an extremely snarky response. Disrespectful and rude. How can a company expect to make bids if you're treating potential customers like idiots? My business might be a drop in the bucket but I'll make sure to avoid this company going forward.

Our very old AC at our 1974 home quit. It was a 40 amp unit and very inefficient. The new one Pioneer installed works way better, uses less electricity and is quieter. So glad for that lately. Pioneer also did a complete furnace/AC system at my brother's home, (at our recommendation), which just had an old oil furnace, same thing at my wife's father's home. Very professional installs. We'd endorse them on doing any HVAC work.

Pioneer Gas and Furnace technician Greg just left - and I'm super impressed w their service. The office managed to fit us into their very busy schedule in only two days, there was good communication on when Greg would be at the house, and was here right when he said he'd be. We had a temperature sensor issue, Greg found it right away, fixed things up, cleaned up, and was out the door in less than an hour. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend and will use again for our service next year!

The installed AC seems to be working fine, although attention to detail/aesthetics and regard for your home is utterly lacking--Dents out of the walls and molding, even a chunk out of our hardwood floor. The ceiling and walls were covered with black finger prints. The vent in the sealing was initially left misaligned and with several sharpie markings visible.

They were responsive to fixing this, but initially no-showed that appointment. Second time out, was much better alignment, although still needing touch up. After scrubbing fingerprints off the ceiling a second time and a new chunk out of our stairway wall, opting to mend it ourselves. Customer service reps are friendly, but inter-company communication seems to be lacking.

This is a local company that is quick to respond, helpful, fair with pricing and I've found they really stand behind their work. When I have had a problem, they are right there to help.

I have done business with Pioneer for the last six years and have been very satisfied with the level of service and the personnel that did the work. They always respond quickly.

It was the first cold snap and furnace folks were busy. Mine was an interment issue but nonetheless, spoke with Bud and he made a point to get out the next day. The job was mush less the scope of work than we expected and the price reflected that.

Pioneer Gas Furnace was recommend to me by a friend eight years ago when I needed a new furnace installed. Since then they have done an install on an air conditioner, another air conditioner when we moved to a different house plus all the maintenance on our furnace, air conditioner and fireplace insert.

When I needed some immediate assistance on a Friday afternoon, Pioneer sent someone within the hour. The problem was a defective part and they replaced it and did not charge me for the visit. I was so grateful because I was also having company in the next few days.
