Most unreliable company! I was referred to by PGE company to repair the gas line. They were booked out for 3 weeks. Then on the day of repair cancels for another 2.5 weeks. Do not use this company.

From the moment I called Columbia Heating and Cooling to the final thermostat install, Omar Rivera was the ultimate professional. To begin with, he came out within a couple of days to give me a bid, answered my questions, didn't give me the "there's a supply chain issues" excuse and had our A/C installed within a month. He personally came out and installed a wireless thermostat the next week.

If you are looking for a quality heating and cooling company that communicates effectively, answers the phone and your questions while delivering a quality product then this company should be your first and only call. Thanks Columbia Heating and Cooling, you've made a loyal customer out of me!

The only reason I said they didn't respond quickly was because their technician was on vacation so I needed to wait a few days for our appointment. It was worth the wait! I had another company come look at our heat pump before Columbia could come out, and their tech determined we needed a new fan motor for our unit and they quoted us $1100.00 to replace it. Sam from Columbia came out today, looked over the unit and determined we just needed a new capacitor - $145.00.

He installed it on the spot, and now it works just fine. Lesson learned - Get at least two estimates. Jacobs Heating - $1100.00 vs. Columbia Heating - $145.00 Columbia Heating for the win!

They installed island range hood system, including the duct/vent and the exhaust. A kitchen remodeler had said he would need to make a 3ft by 3ft hole in the ceiling and remove some ceiling lights. Columbia team made a hole slightly bigger than the duct size (less than 1 feet) and made sure the remote fan was placed in attic. It has been an year and we are really happy about the service we received and price was very normal.

We finally gave into the rising summer temperatures and had AC installed. The crew Steve sent over showed up early and got right to work. They were so polite and wore their masks the few times they had to enter our home. They cleaned up everything and made sure I knew how to use the new thermostat they needed to install.

They did a great job! They were the only ones (Zach) who suggested an alternative type of heat pump/air conditioner for the style of house we have and it works great. Best money spent. Would definitely use them again.

We have spent almost $15000 and our AC and Heating system is only about 15 months old. It blows fuses, the ducting has very low pressure, and we have had 6+ service calls into Columbia Heating and Cooling. I have called them more than 12 times to give them a chance to fix our new system and they will not. They have also canceled our warranty and do not take our calls.

On a 90 degree day it is 80 degrees in our house. We have a 2600SQFT single level home and then system does not keep up with outside temperature. Do your research and make sure you do not make a bad decision on the HVAC company you want to work on your home. We are out $15000 and have an HVAC system that does not work.

Our 1984 construction house had the ducts from 3 exhaust fans only venting into the attic. We were so glad when Columbia said they could correctly direct moist air to the outside. Zack came out to assess the project and also diagnosed issues with crushed vents in the attic and improperly sealed ducts in the crawl space. His professional background on HVAC systems was impressive and we had confidence Columbia would do a good job.

It was a big project, but still cost was reasonable for all they did. Scheduling was efficient. Parker and Ryan were the hands on crew and they not only worked quickly and efficiently but Ryan discovered an additional hole in ducting which he repaired - yeah! We've used Columbia for annual servicing for years but this time we discovered their stellar problem solving skills.

Five stars for the field team-they get the work doneand are friendly but Allysa in the office does not return calls or emails --she is bad as the customer service point person. She brings the rating down to 2 stars.

We have an AC unit that is approximately 20 years old but it continues to run so we haven't replaced it. It wasn't cooling the house several weeks ago so we called to have it assessed and if it was still in decent shape serviced. The service rep said it was fine but close to end of life, though we could get another season out of it, serviced it and it worked again for a couple of weeks then died.

We were disappointed due to the money we spent to service it, but also understood that it is about 20 years old so we called Columbia back to schedule an appointment for a replacement and they offered to credit us the service fee toward the replacement. Further, Marlena Jarvis came to assess the replacement and determined that we actually didn't need a replacement yet but it was simply the capacitor that had blown, a $90 part.

Very honest people with a ton of integrity. She could have easily said we needed to spend the $5k to replace our AC unit and we wouldn't have been the wiser. Further, for them to also offer a credit due to the servicing was very commendable. We have had a bit of a jaded view of the overall Service Industry lately but Columbia Heating and Cooling proved us wrong. We highly recommend this company! Wonderful customer service and integrity! One very cold morning recently our seventeen year old furnace fired up along with a loud constant noise. We called Columbia Heating & Cooling Inc. in Tigard. They said they would come over in 2 to 4 hours. Gerry arrived right on time promptly diagnosed the problem and ordered the needed parts. Early the next morning he returned and installed the new parts. Now our furnace is working very well! We hope this furnace will last another ten years. We found Gerry, Simi and Alisa very good people to work with.

Super company to work with from working with Marlena in the estimation process to the installation with Jake and Sai. These guys had an excellent process and they were very pleasant to work with. They had support in the electrical side from Bear Electric folks and they were also very nice to work with. I would give these guys a tremendous recomendation.

Their staff is reliable & professional - and as someone who doesn't know a lot about hvac products, they do a great job helping explain various products & the importance of routine maintenance.
