Mold
Report
One of the side effects of flood damage is that there is a very real possibility that you will have to deal with mold damage, further involving removal, repair and clean up. The growth of mold occurs over time and will often appear long after the event that caused it. Mold is a bio-hazardous fungus that can cause illnesses.

Just had work completed by Royalty. They replaced flooring though my entire home due to water damage. They also removed cabinets and countertops and replaced with new. Pluming, trim work, etc. I'm so very happy with there work. They were pleasant to work with, timely and professional. I'd use them again no question about it.

Had a water leak and flooring had to be removed. The men from Steamy Concepts we're great in their service and black mold eradication. Yet this happened December 28, 2020. It kept being put off on the reconstruction part so it wasn't completed until May of 2021. Within a week I noticed a soft spot in the kitchen. I started calling and got no response until Brian started calling about the remainder owed.
This was in Dec of 2021. Here it is the end of March 2022 and still not done. Had a 10 am appointment today with a person named Albert. Just got off the phone with Royalty and appointment was cancelled without a phone call. I have a floor that is dangerous to walk on. The contractor did call yesterday and is a great person. I have no problems with hint. I hope this problem is fixed sometime this year

Royalty Renovations was great to work with repairing water damage to drywall and paint. Their employee Adam did exceptional work, I was so happy with it and couldn't even believe it was the same bathroom that had been so ugly. I also had a pocket door removed to make a complete wall- he framed, drywalled, textured and painted that and same repairs to a second room.
The texture matched exactly, would never know a door had been there and his detail in painting was fantastic- perfect lines with the trim and other edges- I couldn't even see previous paint lines around cabinets etc- so not even sure how he managed that. He hung light fixtures perfectly and even solved a couple small electrical mysteries with them. Highly recommended!

Royalty Renovation remodeled my hall bathroom that had been ripped up from some plumbing work and they did an outstanding job! It looks 1000 times better than it did before. Quality workmanship, came through with all my requests and it looks beautiful. Definitely thinking about having them remodel my master bathroom as well! Thank you so much!

Our plumbing company covered the work to be done by royalty renovations. First off they couldn't give us a timeline for when work would start and called a month later two days before they wanted to start work. We were told the worker would be to our residence between 730 and 8 however after calling the office at 830 the worker finally showed up at 9ish.
Once the work was started it took 3 days to put up drywall and install cabinets. The worker didn't have the tools/equipment to do the job every day so he worked from about 9-2 with an hour lunch each day because "he needed to wait for his supervisor to bring him the equipment". On the second day of work we offered him to use our saw blade to try and expedite the process so he didn't have to quit early again and he tried to take all the blades.
The next day was asked to return the items which he did but still ended up "breaking one" and we were only informed when we asked him to return it. The cabinets were installed but because he didn't leave any space between the wall and cabinet the cabinet didn't sit flush with the old foot print which it was supposed to so our baseboard is about 1/8in short and was just left and looks completely unfinished.
This is next to the floor where they filled the gap with regular caulking instead of a grout caulking to match the grout. The handles for the cabinets were given to the worker to install and only after he installed one did he ask us to check placement. There were two different handles/pulls, one for the drawers and one for the doors. He installed the incorrect pulls for the doors and we had no option to change them as he already drill holes into the cabinet.
Our cabinets were also damaged during install and we were told they would come back and fix them however that hasn't happened either. Lastly, the worker who was working at our house decided to steal water from us instead of just asking. I notice an item missing from where I store them and checked the cameras to find him helping himself. I had already offered on previous days if he would like something so he should have known all he needed to do was ask. All of these issues were addressed with the supervisor who basically made an excuse for every action/issue.

They provided some repairs after we had a little flooding in the house. Although I was so excited to be home after being in a hotel for over 2 months, the longer I was here the more I realized little things were done improperly. I wouldn't say they're awful but from talking with others, it seems they're certainly not as well-respected as other renovation companies.

Due to water damage, our baseboard and surrounding carpets were soaked. Both Royalty and Steamy Concepts came up to help us fix the issues the water damage caused. However, rather than cutting a straight line along the seam of the carpet, the workers opted to cut a jagged edge, making repairs to the original carpet impossible. Original repairs were not completed to our satisfaction.
The painter left borders around the edges of the walls and input swirls and waves throughout. I will say that when we spoke to them about it, Royalty did come back out to repaint the walls, agreeing that it was not a job well done, and they did a much better job the 2nd time around. Unfortunately, the work done on the carpet was also not completed well, as the workers did not put padding under one section of the carpet, and the seams were already pulling apart hours after the job was completed with the patches of carpet they used.
While I understand that carpet is difficult to patch after being damaged, all we wanted was for the work to be professional and look as good as it did before the damage occurred. We had issues with communication after that, as repeated phones calls to the company were left unreturned. Overall, this experience with Royalty was frustrating, as we just wanted the work completed correctly. 06/13/2021 Updated Review: After a few conversations with the owner, I will say that Royalty did improve the situation.
While they are not able to fix the carpet at this time, we now have the ability to utilize our original carpet installers to replace the carpet and padding so that it can look as good as it did before the damage. There are not many owners that will put in the time to communicate with you directly and do their best to make the situation right. Matt is one of those few owners and we appreciate his willingness to help our present situation.

Treated poorly each of the three times the work had to be stopped and corrected. 4X8 laundry room "renovation" took over two months and the contract was left unfinished! Want to fold your delicate laundry on my counters? I'm less than excited to entertain the idea that "royalty renovation" be allowed come back for round 4 to fix all this. FAILURE!

Royalty Renovation did a wonderful job repairing my kitchen after a water pipe flooded underneathe the cabinets. It was a very stressful time and they took care of everything, dealt with my insurance company, and left my kitchen more beautiful than it was before! Each time they were here, they were right on time too. A special thanks to Aaron for being so responsive to my emails and phone calls, and always keeping me up to date. I appreciate everything they did to get our kitchen back!
