Leaky Pipes
Report
Leaky pipes and faucets can cause significant damage and water loss over a very short period of time. Before homeowners have any idea there is a leak, their water bill can skyrocket into hundreds or even thousands of dollars. One faucet dripping just twice every minute can cause more than 1,000 gallons of water or more to be wasted over one three month billing cycle.

They repaired our toilet that needed a new flange and also unclogged our drain. The plumber was extremely nice and even showed me what to do the next time our sink gets clogged. They are budget friendly and get the job done quickly. Other guys like Michael's Plumbing was going to try and charge us an astronomical amount for something so simple to fix. Morton Plumbing is the best and I would recommend them to everyone I know from now on! Thank you Morton Plumbing! :

We have used Morton for years for both plumbing and air conditioning issues, and we highly recommend them! They are one of the most honest and helpful companies we have ever worked with. You can count on them to be completely transparent with you about every aspect of the job, and they do great work at a fair price. They've worked with us through several tricky repairs, and we always know we are in good hands!

Would highly recommend avoiding this company if you want to speak to someone on the phone or simply have your call returned. We have been requesting a bill since May, have left multiple voice mails, and the only time we ever received a call back was a "courtesy call" before turning the bill over. Will never be using their services again. Additionally, their charges for services rendered were astronomical. Our appointment had to get rescheduled more than once as well as they were "busy" and couldn't get to us when promised.

My A/C stopped working, and I called Morton and was given a time 4 days away. It's getting pretty hot, they must be busy. They called a short while after and had an unexpected opening, and two great technicians, Tim and Sim, showed up within an hour and had the cold air blowing in about another. Great experience, and I'll definitely be back in the future.

I called Morton plumbing and told them that my water line was backed up and that I needed help that same day. No commodes were working, the kitchen sink was backing up, and the bathtub was backing up, so they knew the problem before they arrived. They were nice enough to work me in that day, but when the technician arrived, he checked everything and told me I had a major problem.
He also told me (after calling his office) that their equipment was not available to clear my sewer line, and that it would not be available until the following week (which was in about 4 days). I could not wait that long since I had no working commodes in the house. I asked the technician if I should call RotoRooter or another plumber, and he said yes, and that he would call Hiller.
I told him I was a Hiller customer but did not call Hiller initially because I thought they were very expensive and I had heard good things about Morton's. So, bottom line, the Morton guy left, and then I was billed a $49 dispatch fee. I don't mind paying the dispatch fee if I was offered the option of Morton's do the work. But they were not able to help me that day.
When I called their office to ask if the dispatch fee could be waived, the woman who answered the phone kept interrupting me and said that her guy told me what was wrong so that I could call another plumber and tell them was what wrong. She talked over my attempt to speak and would not let me talk without interrupting. She said that I was told about the dispatch fee in advance (I don't remember being told about it) and that everyone was billed that fee and it had to be paid if I chose another service.
The only reason I chose another service was because Morton's did not have the equipment available. And if I told him in advance about all the issues I was having, why did he come to my home if he did not have the equipment to fix it? So, my complaint is poor customer service, and having to pay a fee when they were not able to do the work due to their lack of equipment.

The leak from the hot water facet in my tub was increasing each day without being turned on. Morton Plumbing was cordial when I called and responded immediately. Even a firm I had used and paid in the past promised to come but never did and didn't call me back with any explanation. Covid 19 was the main culprit but I do appreciate a company that responds and makes every effort to help.

I should have given this review years ago. My mom has used Morton's Plumbing for as long as I can remember. They know her and she knows them so well that she leaves a key for them to come in and do what they need to do when she's not around. They are a GREAT group of people and I'm sure I would use them if I needed their services. I didn't know they did HVAC stuff so that's a definite plus.

I have to give a poor review here, as I scheduled them to come out for my AC unit and took off work to be home, but the morning of my appointment, I was called and told the company owner was not willing to perform the work because it was a warranty-related job. I understand his concern, but I told them up front my unit was under warranty--so I should not have been told they can assist me, and have taken off work to be home, only to find out the day of that they are unwilling to serve me. The woman on the phone was very nice about it, hence the 2 stars. But this overall was a big inconvenience for me, and I can't recommend that way of doing business.

Our 800 foot water line was broken - losing copious amounts of water. Morton's was at my house within an hour to assess the situation. We did need the escavator which was not available until the next day. They arrived first thing in the morning and stuck with a difficult job until it was repaired. Each employee I met was very kind and helpful. I talked with the dispatcher and owner several times, and they were always professional and courteous. I highly recommend this plumbing company.

I called several plumbing companies to deal with a leak in a bathroom. No company could give me an immediate appointment. I asked each for pricing information. I had used Morton for routine maintenance before and was predisposed to using them again, and they could come out a day before another I called. I was told of their $49 fee for showing up and was told that would be part of the total price, should they do the work.
I asked Karen for the hourly rate and she told me they do work by the job, not by the hour, and the guys would tell me once they assessed the situation. I was upset when the two guys got there and told me the problem was that the toilet washers were worn out and that it would cost $200 to replace them! I know a bit about plumbing and think this is an outrageous amount simply to remove the toilet tank, replace the washers and put the tank back on.
And it certainly did not require two men. The job was completed well inside an hour. The hourly rate of the other plumbing company was only $150. Because Karen did not tell me their hourly rate, nor their minimum charge ($200), I ended up paying more to Morton than I would have if I had gone with the other plumbing company! They did reduce the $200 to $175, which I appreciate, but it was still more than I would have paid. Mostly, I am upset at their withholding of information that would have allowed me to make a better decision.

Terrific plumber. Had a leaky pipe under the house that turned out to be a lot trickier to fix than first anticipated. Despite the fact it took twice as long as Rick Morton thought it would, he stuck to his original quote, fixed the leak and did it all in a friendly, professional manner. I'll definitely be calling them again if I have another plumbing issue.

We had three different plumbers from other companies come to investigate water puddles I had found in the basement before calling Morton Plumbing. None of the others could figure out what was wrong. Rick from Morton Plumbing quickly diagnosed the problem, found the leak in the pipe behind the shower handle, and was able to fix it. Professional, honest, and good at their jobs.

Morton is a family owned and operated company. The owner's two sons work here. They were able to come right out to repair our busted water heater. I purchased the water heater myself and they installed it for a flat rate. They quoted me the price up front (no hidden charges) and it included everything. I recently had another plumbing company charge me as much for a drippy faucet.

Morton Plumbing is quick, responsive, and everyone I've spoken with was as nice as can be. As a new-ish homeowner, they walked me through everything and I found them so nice to work with and they did a great job. (The technician also showed up within the scheduled window- always a bonus for me!) I had a shower with a faulty lever and cartridge, and he fixed it in under an hour for a reasonable price.
