Had our home inspection done with Jacob at Air Al. Recently our AC unit has gone haywire and our insurance company asked for us to get a technician to look at it that we felt comfortable with for a third opinion and a bid to fix. After several phone calls emails and voicemails I finally was able to speak with Jacob in the beginning of the week in regards to finding a time when they could come out and look at the unit since they did my inspection for my unit when I purchased the home less than 6 months ago and he assured me he would call me back with a time this week.

Cut to four days later at the end of the week and I have not heard from him. Not feeling comfortable with the home inspection they did now that they are avoiding contacting me. Time to give someone else your business.

We were Air Al customers for years, and always received great service from Gideon and his employee, Jacob. During a hot spell, our AC gave out completely so I called and left a message, then another the following week, then another the week after. Months later finally got a return call. Huh?

Air Al did amazing work for us, we had to replace a unit that was costing us tons every month and would barely work. Air Al recommended we keep the same duct system, since that wasn't the problem, and we just replaced the unit itself. This ended up being very cost-efficient for us and now it works like a charm! The Air Al team was very friendly and efficient. They came and fixed one of my outdoor air conditioning units last Thursday which started malfunctioning. It's not the first time I used them, I've been with them since I moved to LA and would recommend them to anyone, especially friends and family.

Air Al deserves all 5 stars! I did my research before having them come install a brand new AC unit. Gideon came over promptly and gave us options for different units, including pros and cons for both. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we understood the core differences. After their friendly crew left, we now have a brand new Amana unit that cools our entire home in a matter of minutes!

We were referred to Air Al by a friend that had been using them for years. We scheduled a service call and received a free and very fair estimate to install a new system. The install was fast, professional and efficient. We were so pleased with their work that we have already arranged for Air Al to install a new unit at my mother-in law's house.

Air Al came, diagnosed the problem as a blown capacitor, replaced the $7 part, charged me $270 for 20 mins of their time. And the unit is still not fixed, blowing hot air. I called to ask for a refund and he gave me the runaround. Called the company who installed it today, they came out and for another $380 now my unit is running and cooling our home. Dishonest folks over there. They didn't have any business charging me that kind of money without actually fixing the problem or giving a diagnosis. The jokes on me I guess :

If you have a gas wall furnace (like many older westside houses and apts) and you can't find a plumber or heating company that knows how to service it, this is the place! I went through several reputable heating/ac companies and plumbers who couldn't service my wall unit before my GC recommended Air-Al. Prompt service, and the technician knew exactly how to run diagnostics, repair and it's now running like a beast. Thank you! I'm glad I contacted you before it got cold.

How about a return phone call? We are an HOA that have 4 units and have been loyal to these guys for years. In June we asked them to come out for a routine servicing of 4 units - one would think that would be a nice gig for them. 4 units on one property. They pushed us off and pushed us off and now they don't even return a call. I even left them a msg that my 3 month old baby's room was hot and thus was unsafe for her and even then still didnt get a return call. Clowns. WTF happened to customer service!?!?!? Air Al needs a lesson.

I had an outstanding experience from the moment I spoke with Jacob over the phone. This is a professional and reliable company that provided me with an excellent Service. They came on time and work very effceintly and left the place very clean. The workers covered all the place so no traces will be left. Jacob gave me a detail information about the entire installation.

I used to receive years of good service from Air Al, not anymore. Their customer service has bottomed out. Just getting a simple system check and Air filter replacement for 3 Carrier unit's was impossible. they barely return calls, They never even returned to me with a time to scheduling service. sad to see the demise of this company, Gideon has no loyalty to customers. My recommendation would be to avoid them.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Air Al for recently installing a new A/C unit in my condo. I am especially grateful for the two servicemen they sent beforehand to investigate the problem I was having with my 12-year-old unit. The guys they sent out were on time, professional and very courteous.

I've had two experiences with Air-Al and in both cases - the work was done properly and efficiently. They cared about not only the function of their work but the aesthetics as well and left me with nothing to clean up or figure out. Gideon is great. His prices are very competitive, and his service was excellent. They showed up on time, delivered what was promised, and I felt comfortable with them in my house. I would use them again.

We have been a customer of Air Al for over 20 years. In August 2011 we purchased a new and expensive air conditioner (2nd unit we purchased from them) from Air Al. A week ago we asked them to service the unit and the man came and spent a few minutes and charged us $75.00. This last Monday during 100 plus degree heat the unit stopped and the house got up to 95-105 degrees as we live in the Valley.

I called them immediately and it took the entire day Monday to get a response late in the afternoon. Finally the owner called and told me there was now way to get a service person out on Monday. On Tuesday I finally reached them and he told me it may not be until the evening and they can't give me a definite time. I am old and ill and could not spend anymore time in our house that is over 100 degrees. I called another vendor in the Valley and in two hours they came and fixed the unit. We will never go back to Air Al again as their service and loyalty have disappeared.

Gideon is a straight-shooter--someone who you can really trust. When my central air wasn't working last year in the summer, I told them I was considering upgrading to an energy-efficient air conditioner which is very expensive. Most companies would have seen a Beverly Hills condo and tried hard to sell me on getting a new machine. But Gideon came, he fixed my air, and charged me only $65 and told me to save my money and just replace my filter and order a new one on Amazon. his type of honesty is really rare in the home improvement business.

This year, when I decided to upgrade my AC as part of a general renovation, I used them and they were terrific. Came on time, did not leave a mess, presented estimate, proof of insurance, etc. Cannot recommend them enough. They also take American Express which is rare as well.

Simply put, the furnace broke right when it got cold, just before Thanksgiving. Air Al fixed my broken furnace. These guys brought the heat, repaired my furnace quick and made the holiday warm and cozy for my family.

I can not speak highly enough of air-al. The people are kind, helpful and prompt. I have used them for all my business and personal needs and can not recommend them highly enough.

Highly not recommended! Scheduled for an estimate during my lunch break. They never showed up. Called and they were unapologetic, just said that they'd be there the following day. Since we had several others scheduled the same time we accepted. They turned out to be the most expensive out of all 4 Heating/AC companies. Bad unprofessional service and rip-off pricing, no thanks!
