Once again GMC Air has impressed me. My AC had a problem and they were able to schedule a service appointment quickly. When the technician, Inmer Amaya, showed up he was courteous and professional, which I appreciate, but most importantly he listened carefully to my description of the problem and then very methodically and thoroughly examined my AC unit to make an accurate diagnosis of the problem.

He then worked quite a while with his office on the phone to sort out any remaining warranty coverage on the part that required replacement. Excellent customer service and an excellent HVAC Technician! Thank you Inmer and GMC Air. I am a very happy customer of GMC Air Conditioning Services. They are responsive, communicate very well, do what they say they are going to do and go above and beyond to take care of their customer.

They were able to schedule my service call quickly, and even showed up a few hours earlier than scheduled, after calling to make sure that would work for me. Cirtis Sterling quickly and accurately diagnosed my air conditioner problem and fixed it professionally and with good tradecraft. Cirtis is personable and easy to talk to and very professional. Thank you again GMC Air for being an excellent company employing excellent people.

Curtis came out from GMC A/C and performed my routine A/C service. Very professional and efficient. He cleaned the drain pan of some algae that had built up and treated and flushed the drain line. We had GMC install a Mitsubishi split system in our house, (It took a year for the final inspection to be done) it is 2 years old and we are having numerous problems since the beginning. Had to have a pump installed in less than 2 months. Several times, it wasn't cooling. We contacted them last month to please come and see why its not cooling and they didn't even look at the system, the tech told my daughter the system needs cleaned.

We asked for a quote, they told us $500 to clean only one unit, when there is 4 units. We told them their crazy. Please do not buy a split system its nothing but headaches. THERE IS ONLY A FEW COMPANIES THAT ARE ALLOWED TO WORK ON THEM TOO.

GMC is great, I would highly recommend! Skip, the owner, came out to do a free estimate to replace my AC and was friendly, professional, and honest. I previously received estimates from other companies and felt that they were trying to sell me on things I didn't need. I felt that Skip was honest about what I really needed and was not trying to rip me off. Greg came out to do the work and was very professional and courteous.

He did a great job installing the AC and coming back at a later date to install the grills. Also really great customer service from the people in the office. All around a great company!

I won't recommend this company. Air handler/fan in my 7 years old Carrier's 2.5 ton a/c was malfunctioning, stopping sometimes for a day but I spent a month to convince GMC that it was a problem. The replacement cost me over $600 after all discounts applied but they installed another old module, not a new part or at least I cannot see new part. However that's just start of story. UV light stopped working 1 day after this service. GMC offered bulb replacement for $300+ without coming to check.

I checked on the issue myself. They incorrectly connected UV light ballast to 240 volts instead of 208 as specified and it fried the ballast, mot the bulb! I admit that the color of hot wires for 240 and 208 was almost similar, red and orange but still why not to check? When I fixed the issue and asked for reimbursement for parts only I got only mile long emails. GMC was original installer of this a/c and UV.

I stand for quality of my own service in my business and expect the same from others. But this company doesn't care. They also try to sell unnecessary replacements. I had two maintenance services from them in span of one year and each time got different recommendations on $200-300 replacements. I don't trust this company.

I'd recommend them. They did a good job for me. Happy with the I-Wave R system they installed. The air is clean and fresh and most importantly healthy. They cleaned my a/c coil and blower from ira of crud and grime. The iwave will keep it clean. Service: HVAC maintenance

We were sold on a lie, and our ac we bought does the same as our old unit they replaced. It's 90 degrees out today, and our house is 79 degrees inside. We have a 16 month old baby who is too hot to even nap. Horrible service. They have lied to us for over a year, and won't fix the problem. Shop ELSEWHERE!

GMC performed shoddy and incomplete work in our home on two occasions, and the owner failed to offer adequate compensation and ceased to communicate when confronted. For the 1st occasion, we had work performed by GMC Air several months ago. The work included replacing the duct junction box in the attic. After the work was done, our energy bills were very high which I found strange because we paid GMC to correct several deficiencies which should have made our home more energy efficient.

A few months later, we were preparing to have insulation installed in the attic. On the 2nd occasion, we paid GMC $200 to perform a duct inspection before doing the insulation. The GMC technician who performed the inspection said there were no leaks in the ducts. A few weeks later, I witnessed the insulation technician (from a different company) enter the attic and immediately bring to my attention that the sides of the junction box installed by GMC that were not visible from the attic hatch had zero tape or any sealant on them.

The ducts were simply placed into the junction box holes without the seams being sealed or the sides of the box being insulated at all. Moreover, he pointed out obvious holes in the duct connection to one of the registers. He took pictures of all these deficiencies with my phone at my request. No wonder our energy bills had been so high! The insulation tech offered to seal up all the deficiencies then and there so that we could proceed with the insulation installation instead of having to reschedule.

I called GMC and told them the work we paid for had been done shoddily and incompletely, and that the duct inspection we paid for had been useless, and I sent them the photos of the deficiencies. GMC requested to come inspect the situation. I declined because I did not want them in my attic after two instances of poor workmanship, and because I did not want them to interfere with the insulation installation that was now underway.

I told them that I paid the insulation company to fix the deficiencies so that I didn't have to suffer further inconvenience by waiting for GMC's response which at that point I had little confidence in. I then engaged in communication with the owner of GMC. She refunded the $200 we paid for the fallacious duct inspection. I asked her to respond to the work that was shoddy and incomplete.

She offered to have someone come complete the work "at no cost to you". I informed her that offering to complete work that I had already paid for at no extra cost was not a satisfactory offer. Moreover, I told her we had incurred much higher than average energy bills for the months following that work being performed, and I had already informed her that I paid the insulation company to correct the deficiencies. No response. I wrote to the owner two more times requesting a response, and received none.

I have possibly never dealt with a more incompetent company in my adult life than GMC. I purchased a top-of-the-line Carrier AC with a brand new air handler and a complete duct work system for my house from them: 1. More than half of my ducts were improperly insulated and dripped condensation onto the drywall around the diffusers. When they did the repairs they did their own plaster work so it looks like a 10-year old did it.

I have two ducts that are currently dripping. 2. My air handler condensate drains constantly clog. When I asked them why they scratched their heads and had no idea. When I took a look I saw that the drainage channels were filling with slime. I now maintain them with no problem but my wood floors are destroyed because they didn't install any kind of a pan under the unit even though everybody knows that air handlers sometimes drip water, and water ruins wood floors. 3.

They installed the air handler with a PVC drain pipe blocking a filter door. I had to draw a picture to show them how to install the PVC around the door to allow for switching out filters without having to disconnect the plumbing. 4. They recommended a paper pleated filter, but it seems to be the wrong one because the air handler sucks the filter right out of it's brackets. 5.

They have more than once come out for a maintenance check, taken out my filters, and not replaced them. The inside of my unit is absolutely trashed with dust now so I'll be paying a reputable firm to come out and clean it. GMC has never made this system "right". They are very much focused on selling me annual maintenance plans that have no benefit because they do such shoddy work. I rarely write a bad review, my experience with GMC has been as bad as it gets.

I wanted to just say thank you for being so nice and professional, Zach! I didn't end up using GMC because my AC guy that I've used the past 1-2yrs got back to me but I will definitely use GMC for the future! Really nice staff and affordable visit rate of $79. Was able to schedule me same day service too!

Praise the Lord and God bless GMC AC! So, we thought we needed a new ac unit because it is a 2007 Rheem and it just quit working. Last November 2017 the ac stopped working so we got 2 estimates to fix or replace it. One guy said he could clean it real good but that the unit probably wasn't going to last more than a year or 2 at the most. Another company (Thor AC; who we were unable to reach this time) said there was nothing wrong but that it needed a complete tune up and an overflow sensor and that it would last for another 5 - 10 years. Well, we forgot about the overflow sensor and our ac just shut off.

We checked everything except the sensor and were sure we needed a new unit. So, we were so impressed by the reviews, that we called GMC to purchase a new unit. Jay G. came within 2 hours, and in less than a minute he found the problem. the overflow sensor! We just needed to suck out the drain! We were giving God the praise! So Jay sucked out the drain and looked at our 2007 Rheem ac unit and agreed with Thor AC, that there was nothing wrong with it and that it could easily last another 5 - 10 years! And. Jay didn't charge me a thing, I tried to get him to charge me something but he wouldn't! We have GMC A.C. on file now; no need to look anywhere else! And I found out, they do finance if someone needs them to, I really like that! So thankful!

They misdiagnosed my problem and tried to pull a fast one over on me. Then when I called them out on It Skip called to apologize There office supervisor Eric is a real piece of work too. Eric told me to go f--- myself when I questioned him about the board and that I wanted my old board back. He told me if I wanted It to drive to his office and he would think about giving to me.

They told me that I needed a new computer board in my air handler and charged me $414. Then they realized that the thermostat was the issue and they tried to make up a story. Needless to say the board needed programming also and I had to pay again to get another AC guy to fix there issue. I would give them a zero if I could but yelp doesn't have a zero. Stay away!

I called the company at 9pm and within 15 minutes Jean arrived. He immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. He was professional, friendly and patient enough to show me exactly what the problem was and to give me suggestions for the future.

We highly recommend GMC Air Conditioning for their excellent service. We had an issue with our A/C at and work. A technician was at our facility that morning and was able to inspect the unit, diagnose the problem and gave us a quote on the repairs. He recommended replacing the parts that are absolutely necessary to keep the system running. He repaired the unit and performed the factory recommended maintenance on it. Now, the A/C is running perfectly cold and is well maintained.

This family owned and operated business has a wonderful team of professional and efficient technicians. We have great confidence in the service and honesty of GMC Air Conditioning.

When I moved to Florida in 2012 my air conditioning unit went out. GMC came to install the new unit. When an issue arose with my AC installation, the company graciously came out to correct the issue once they became aware. Very pleased with the level of professionalism. The workers they send are always polite, courteous and on time. That's rare in south Florida.

3 years ago, I bought a unit from Ambassador AC in Fort Lauderdale. After I told them that it didn't cool my house, they said something to the effect of "Oh yeah, this unit won't work with your existing duct system, sorry for not letting you know ahead of time." Ambassador AC was an all-around bad experience. In my estimation, they are the equivalent of a cheap used car salesman. I've since had $1,000 in repairs per year on the laboring system that they threw in.

This year, I asked Skip and GMC come out to see if they could clean up Ambassador's mess. They did things the right way, beginning with a careful analysis of my home and duct system, followed by a couple of proposed options in writing. My new unit is in and I'm 100% satisfied. My installation included an upgraded duct system and I'm pleased to report that the installers were clean, courteous, helpful, and a pleasure to have in our home.

The all around job was professional and of the highest quality. Skip jus gave me a follow up call this morning to be sure that everything is spot on. These guys are just great, they have my highest recommendation.

James of GMC air conditioning did an excellent job yesterday cleaning the coils of my a/c. James is very polite, works fast and meticulous he is a pleasure to deal with. This company also verifies that you are satisfied with the service the following day. They also call to remind you that it's time for service. They are a pleasure to deal with. on 5/1/2016 a Sunday the a/c stopped working and the company was contacted. Eduardo D showed up quickly and solved the problem. GMC Air Conditioning Services just finished installing a new unit in our home. Jordan did the installation and the job was finished in one day! They responded quickly to our need, and we are 100% satisfied with the finished work. Jordan not only did an excellent job with the removal of the old unit and installation of the new, but he explained everything to us very clearly and simply which we greatly appreciated.

He made sure everything was done to perfection, a much better job than the last company we had many years ago! I highly recommend this company to anyone needing to update their AC!

We had Eduardo come out from GMC Air Conditioning Services to fix the A\C on a very hot Florida day. The service was quick, professional, and Eduardo was able to diagnose and fix the issue in one stop. I'm happy, my dogs are happy, and most importantly my wife is happy. Would defiantly have him out again the next time our A\C needs servicing.

I had an A/C condensation drain that was clogged and water was spilling onto the floor. I called GMC Air Conditioning and they sent out Technician Eduardo D. I was impressed by how fast he showed up to fix the problem.

We were getting ready for Passover Monday night. Temp was 86-no one noticed. My AC guy could not come out, it was after 5 PM. I called GMC and James came out wihtin an hour, and worked hard for 90 minutes to get the unit up and running.

This is the second time I have used GMAC and the second time I am impressed and happy with the service. Both times I had to call for emergency service. The office staff is very friendly, the 2 technicians I have had have been polite, clean and educated. My AC is fixed and I feel compared to the other company I used in the past that the pricing is fair. I will be using them in the future and I highly recommend them!

I just had GMC come to my house in Coconut Creek to do a tune-up on our air conditioner. The service was quick and great and the tech was friendly. I definitely recommend them!

Do NOT call this company unless you want to pay for repairs you DO NOT NEED! I called on a Weekday evening, that's when AC's break, and was told somebody will give me call in the morning. My husband took off from work, a technician came out the next day mumbling already walking in " I hope it's not the motor". Bypassed the Thermostat, NEVER went to the outside unit to check there either, just saying, and went right for the motor and module.

I believe you can guess what he told us we needed to replace, right? Yes, Module AND Motor! you can not replace one without the other, the technician said. I called their office right away and talked to somebody about a possible different way to solve this problem, guess what, yes, the man said if I were you, I would replace only the module first, see if it works and if not we can take that module out again, sent it back to the manufacturer, they normally do not ask any questions from us, and then you replace both but do not lose any money. That's what I did, because the "expert" told me!

Part was installed the next day. (My Husband had to take another half day off ) $330.00. $110.00 for the part/$220.00 for LABOR! Needless to say, the AC ran 3.5 days and then I had to call again because the same problem arose. This time another technician showed up, barely spoke English. This time I took off from work and AGAIN, the TECHNICIAN walked right pass the Thermostat (?) and went straight for the motor.

I had not shown him my previous receipt yet. His office told me he had no idea about my reoccurring problem (?) I then showed him my receipt and he called his office. Of course after that, why looking anywhere else, I did not replace the motor, so it had to be that, right? He went and got the motor, neither of the technicians had any material on the truck! Came back, installed and left after I paid $710.00. ($110.00 Credit for the first module was applied already!) $505.00 for the motor/$205.00 for LABOR which was 1h45min.

When my husband returned from a morning appointment the next day, hard to believe?, the AC was out again. My husband called the GMC office and told them his problem and got a testy respond. THEY got snippy with HIM? The technician who had come out the first time returned, and now, not having anything else to look at or for, checked FINALLY the Thermostat!

He bypassed it and guess what. BIG SURPRISE, the AC came on. NEW MOTOR, MOGULE and all! The technician then told my husband that it may not have been the motor or module at all. REALLY? So I called the GMC office and got the owner finally after a whole day of trying. First very nice and listened to my FACTS! Then, after talking to his workers, NOTHING but NOTHING happened the way I remembered and told him.

Oh no, now my unit had ice on it and ice on my floor too, oh by the way: I told the office that first time I called.?! and the fan outside was working the first time the first technician looked at it. HE DID NOT EVEN GO OUTSIDE! And of course the person in the office never told me only to get the module first without the motor! RIGHT! and the technician NEVER told my husband that it probably never was the motor in the first place. Well, sorry, but that did it.

That is just a BIT too obvious if you turn everything around to safe your.! All I asked for was to meet in the middle somewhere so that we can both be happy. There obviously were clearly big mistakes made by GMC. But that's what you get, I guess when you trust PROFESSIONALS! Hope this will help other people not to get cheated out of their money. Go to someone that will HELP YOU with your problem and not their own pocket! Shame on GMC!
