Coastal Comfort Coastal Comfort was established in 1985 with the true grit and determination of two young men trying to do a better job. Starting with just two trucks in Broward County, owners Tim Waterhouse and Tony Plastini have grown the business over the years and now have a fleet of 25 vehicles which service three counties - from the Florida Keys to Palm Beach.

Tim and Tony owe a large debt of thanks to Tim's father, Clarence Waterhouse, who played a vital role in helping them start the business. Clarence and Betty Waterhouse relocated to South Florida in the 1940's, where Clarence opened his own gas station, and then an auto parts business.

Lenny, Natalie, Rhonda and Tony.how often do you know your HVAC company employees by name? And when you call someone answers, no automated system! Can't say enough about how ethical and customer service oriented this company is. I live in Texas part of the year and they made my AC replacement in my Fort Lauderdale condo smooth and painless. They will always get my referrals.

I purchased my high efficiency system a year earlier from a different company, much to my regret. The system was not cooling and the programmable thermostat was improperly programmed by the company that sold and installed the unit. Coastal Comfort reprogrammed my thermostat within 5 minutes after familiarizing themselves with the unit based on the installer's instruction booklet.

Coastal Comfort Inc is getting worse every day. Today the technician tried to slip one extra hour in the invoice, Also, he left the job for around an hour and charge me for that as well, nothing about that hour is shown on the invoice, The invoice is a bulk sum and is not detail price on the job done. The technician called to explain the extra hour, which I did no accepted, and when I ask for the hour that he left and the charge for that hour, he just said "I am doing you afavor", but no real explanation was given, again I did not accept his explanation and he called me a.hole.

When I call the office, very upset, the lady that answer the phone pretended to hear me an hung me. When the employees start overcharging customer and insulting them, is clear reflection on the management behavior. Check your invoices because they are going to try to sneak extra charges, I am still waiting for Tim or Andrew (management) to call me and give an explanation and apologies for the employees behavior.

I am unemployed and divorced so I wasn't sure if I had a plumbing or A/C problem, so I went on Angie's list and called a Plumbing service first. It wasn't their problem. Now, I didn't know exactly what was wrong with my A/C unit.hoping for the best, I called Coastal Comfort. It was not a long wait.

Our A/C had stopped working in the middle of the afternoon on a day when we had a lot of storms, including lightning. We checked circuit breakers, etc., but could not get the A/C to start working again. The next morning I called the company (after checking Angie's List, of course) and was given an appointment for later that morning.

Since the original company could not clean the coils when they came out, I was able to shop to see if I could find a better price and my first check was with Angie's List. Coastal Comfort had positive reviews so I called for an estimate and they quoted me $350, and I was able to set an appointment for the next day.

Coastal Comfort comes out every 6 months. They have the best prices and are very professional. They wear professional uniforms and always introduce themselves. Their office staff is always very friendly also.

Have used this company for years and have never had a problem. Always friendly, always prompt. Great customer service. Until now. Not sure what happened but there is a definite change. I had scheduled a routine maintenance.
