***updating review. I've used Paul at least 3 times now. Twenty year old garage door. Called him this week at 8pm and he answered the phone! Then he was at my house the next day to do the repair. Only Amazon is quicker. **** I am more than pleased. The spring broke this morning and 2 friends recommended Garage Door Guru. I called and within an hour a technician Leo was at our house.
When you can't get your car out of the garage, you're very happy with such a rapid response. Leo was very helpful and kind and did a great job. I also believe the price was very fair. Thank you!

I can't speak highly enough about GDG. We had an emergency at our house at 7:30AM on a school morning. After trying several times to get the door opened myself I called GDG (even before their posted hours indicate they are open) - the owner picked right up and came over within the hour. After about another hour of work we were back up and running.
In fact while we had considered & discussed replacing the garage door - GDG discouraged us from doing so, even though it would have been a big, expensive job for them. Nice to find service providers that actually deliver on their commitments, not to mention going above and WAY beyond for their customers. Thank you Paul & Team!

Good work, quick service. I don't know average costs but it seemed high for the service. Frayed cables caused door to come off track. He replaced cables with new cables we already purchased and charged $250. That may be average cost, I do not know. either way, I am glad to have a working garage! (PS Paul your ladder is in my driveway)

I hired Garage Door Guru last fall to replace two garage doors. The did a fantasic job. When one of the doors stopped working properly, we called them to determine what was the cause as we planned to work with them again after having such a great experience with the replacement. The guy quoted $850 to replace the garage opener (motor, chain, openers, etc. - a $250 kit).
We decided to get other quotes. Today, a company came out, reviewed it and confirmed it was only the sensor that had gone bad. A minor repair, $30. I was so frustrated. Thankfully, we didn't go with the $850 estimate but there was no magic to determining it was the sensor - the wire was completely ruined. It seems they just wanted a much larger job over the $30. So disappointing.

The Garage Door Gurus were great! Mitch worked out a great plan for us. Pricing was excellent. We were going to replace springs but getting a new door was the best option because the price was so good. Jason the owner made sure the job moved along in a timely manner! The quality of equipment, installation, attention to detail was some of the best work I've seen in an awful long time. I would also say the pricing was a value that I did not expect for new garage doors. In addition, I was surprised that the salesman provided guidance to use the garage door openers that I currently had and to have the team adjust and set the openers up to operate as designed.
He saved me hundreds of dollars and the openers run like they are new again. I was impressed and you have now gained a lifetime customer! Your team have achieved Guru status in my opinion.

Cannot recommend this company enough. Texted the phone number Wed. morning to get some quotes for a new door, mine was shot. Mitch arrived Wed afternoon. My door wouldn't close without me helping it down so needed installation asap. Mitch got his crew here Friday morning. Was installed by lunch time. Mitch came out on Saturday to look over job. quality installation and quality products. Will not do business with anyone else when it comes to my garage door needs

Paul knows his stuff and is very helpful. He runs a top notch operation and is an invaluable resource for repairs. Their showroom is professional and has some great doors on display. Paul answered all my questions and helped me decide on the best garage door for my home. The insulated garage door I ended up having installed does an amazing job at insulating from cold/hot weather and keeping the temps regulated in the garage. The installation quality is top notch. I will call Paul first with any garage door questions or issues I have in the future.

It took Garage Door Guru less than 2 hours from the time I placed the call to getting the springs replaced. Paul was very knowledgable, prompt and reasonable. He adjusted the controls on my motor, lubes the hinges and showed me some pointers to extend the life of my doors and lift. I would definitely use his service again.

I could not get my garage door up and I called him on Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. He was out to my house by lunch time to fix my garage door. I was so pleased that he could come in just a few hours. He did a great job and was easy to deal with. I will call him again if I ever have another problem with a garage door.

I would absolutely refer Paul and his company. I called at 6:30 pm on a Monday night and he was here within 45 minutes and was able to fix my garage door at the time of his visit. He is very professional, prompt, easy to work with and reasonably priced. I felt re-assured knowing he provides free estimates also. The experience couldn't have been better.
