A Plus Garage Doors

On Thursday evening about 5:00 p.m., the springs on our garage door broke. I couldn't get the door to go up even after releasing the setting to open the door manually. When a different company didn't show up to help me by 10:00 p.m., I called A Plus Garage Doors. Jimmy answered. He said they were open 24 hours a day but only came out at night only if it was an emergency.

I asked, "What is an emergency?" He said, "Are you trapped?" I said, "Yes, we are trapped and I need to get my husband to a radiation appointment in the morning." Jimmy came right then and got the door up so I could get my car out. I was able to take my husband for his radiation treatment on Friday morning. He didn't charge me extra for coming out during the night.

Then Jimmy came back on Saturday morning and replaced the springs on my Wayne Dalton door with a conversion kit made especially for it. The 10 rollers needed to be changed, too. I told Jimmy, "Thank you. You are my garage door man from now on." I appreciate that he showed compassion for me and helped me in the middle of the night.

The springs on my garage door failed on a Friday afternoon around 5 PM, which left me unable to get my car out. I called Jimmy at A Plus and he said he could come out the next morning to fix the door, but if I needed to get out, he would come by immediately and at least get my car out. I didn't absolutely need to go anywhere so I declined the offer, but was amazed he made it considering it was rush hour on a Friday. Jimmy came, as scheduled, the next morning and called beforehand, which he promised to do. A short time later my door was fixed at a reasonable price. What more could I ask for?

Thank Heaven for Jimmy! He really took the time to explain and show what happened to our garage door. He gave us all the options available. He was not only professional but caring. You couldn't ask for a better garage door specialist. And he was extremely fast. I couldn't believe how quick he fixed our garage door that was bent out of shape and off the track!

I moved into my house in June and the only thing I wanted was to switch my double garage to a single. We ran into some structural issues and I was parient. Here we are, 6+ months later and nothing. Oh, and they comveniently do not take credit cards. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I still have the check writen from when they were supposed to finish the work. Better Business Bureau tomorrow.

When we built our new home four years ago one of the things that immediately bothered us was our garage doors. They were a national chain brand that the builder simply slapped up.
