Andrew D Cooper HVAC installation including new ducting has been the best experience that I have had as a homeowner. I waited a year to see if the system performed as promised, it is exceeding expectations and me and my family are great full we selected Andrew D Cooper. I made and appointment on 4/21/22 from 10-12pm, I made the appointment a week ahead. Technician never showed up. I called at 11am and they told me the technician was stuck on another job. I understand things happen, so I waited until 12- 12:30pm and no calls From the office. So I called at 1pm and the office told me that the technician was at lunch and the the original technical had to go home. I don't know what kind of business they have, but you always have to keep the customer inform. I will never do business with company anymore

Several years ago, before there was a way for me to write a yelp review, we worked with this company. The workmanship was appalling and they had hired an ex-felon who ended up stealing over 10k in valuables. When I reached out to the company they shrugged and told me that guy was an a "friend of the family" and he had disappeared after the month he worked on our HVAC system, his only month of employment.
I think about Cooper frequently since the HVAC system was also poorly installed (took 3 visits from the inspector to get approval during the install when I know now that this one worker was just biding his time to find the right moment to steal from us) and we are still dealing with the aftermath of the problems psychologically as well. I would definitely ask for credentials from any one working for them before letting them into your house.

SO GLAD I called AC Cooper when my air conditioner died during the summer heat wave. Tom at AC Cooper was very responsive, unlike most other places where you call and it goes to a voicemail, the couple of times I called, Tom picks up right away. Since my Carrier unit was under warranty, they were able to handle the parts directly with Carrier since they are an authorized dealer, and only charge me for labor.
The tech who came out was on time, courteous, and was mindful of all safety protocols during the COVID pandemic. I highly recommend you give them a call if you are looking for repair or service!

Had a tech come out for the AC system. After the last small heat wave the AC was struggling to keep the same temp inside. The tech came a little late but went right to work. He made some adjustments and then checked the Puron refrigerant. It seemed to have leaked so he checked and found a small leak. He repaired the leak and refilled the system and now it blows pretty cold. Waiting for the next heat wave and hoping the leak won't come back.
The 329.00 cost was a little high but if it holds very acceptable. The system was installed by them and is now 17+ years old so I think that's a small cost for that kind of durability. FYI it's a Carrier 4-ton AC compressor for a 2400 sq ft single level house with decent insulation.

Called and got same day service. The technician arrived in the window that I was given and diagnosed the issue quickly. No additional costs other than the charge for the visit. Great company that I will surely use in the future. Forgot to ask for a business card but with the internet I guess that is not a big deal. Thanks so much.

This is one of the best heating and air conditioning companies that I had the pleasure to work with. Cory, Tom and their whole staff is very friendly, professional and plain simple very honest, wholesome people to work with. I had three central heating and air units put by them in the last two years. I do realize that the recurring problems I am experiencing appear due to equipment design issues, possibly exacerbated by the recent power distribution upgrades performed by Edison, and are largely outside of your control.

I did the appropriate 3 bids with Sears coming in 6K higher, Costco 3K higher and AD COOPER coming in, just right. My old unit replaced, hoses rearranged neatly, air condition now blasts upstairs. It is WONDERFUL. The workman were professional, efficient and clean. I always recommend at least 3 bids for ANY job and suggest, for your air and heating changes, include Andrew D. Cooper. What a great Company to do business with.we had a heating unit bought and installed by this company about 5 years ago and really glad we did. They are very professional, very knowledgeable and very customer oriented. They are so helpful if you need anything, or just have a question. My Carrier AC system stopped blowing cold air during a heat wave this summer. I knew Carrier provided a 10 year limited warranty on their product, so I ended up calling Andrew D Cooper Co (A certified Carrier dealer). Nick performed a leak check since the refrigerant was low and discovered a leak in the evaporating coils and intake valve. As it turned out, my evaporating coils were not Carrier but All Style. Nick and Tom found that I had a 10 year limited warranty on these and were able to replace them.
Between them diagnosing the issue and being able to perform the fix they were able to temporarily get the AC unit to blow cold air so we would be comfortable in our house. The individuals who performed the work were very professional and courteous! The price of the work was in line with what I had heard from others. It has been about two weeks since they fixed it, the weather is topping triple digits again today and the AC unit is working fantastic! Very pleased I went with them.

My A/C stopped working right after the close of business on a Tuesday. I called Wednesday morning and even in a heat wave, they were able to send someone out the next day. Nick diagnosed the problem very quickly, located the part, and got it installed the same day. Everyone was VERY nice and professional. I was impressed when they first installed the unit 16 years ago, and I remain impressed. Nice doing business with you!

Great service, Mario fixed my 15 year (or older) AC unit and then he and Nick thoroughly tested it to confirm their results, they told me issues surrounding the unit and what I could do around the unit to keep it running efficiently (until it has to be replaced). I can't say enough good things about this business. Very pleased.

I am not sure about negative review from other guy but I am very please with AD Cooper company professional services. I live in the same house for more than 18 years and I had my central heater replaced with a new energy efficient Carrier central AC & heating unit in December 2009 by AD Cooper. Shopping for the right unit and the right company to install it was quite an experience for me.
In my case, I had 4 contractors came and gave me a quote in which I found most contractors do not like to hear "I am in the process of selecting quotes". Well tough! because I was anticipating to spend a good sum of money. I certainly entitled to know what I will get for my money. Beside this is not consider a small job when it comes with other related spending such as removal and replace the old ducts, power and new location for the condenser/compressor since there was no AC unit before.
The 4 contractors bidding for the job were Econo Air, Service Champions, Thermo Control, and Andrew D. Cooper. Why I chose AD Cooper? The company sent Bert, a service technician instead of a salesman, who has the vast knowledge of the products the company sells and installs, and well prepared for all the questions I have. Bert explained thoroughly each system and recommended a right one that is best fit for my house, also not to go overboard on bells & whistles that deemed to be unnecessary. Bert also work out the details of overhaul old ducts, install new ducts and incorporated with the total cost of the new ac/heater system. Bert was also shown the willingness to work with me to meet the right price.
The installation part was amazing. The estimated time for completion was 2 days and they were done on time. Equipments were delivered on the first day. The crew showed up around 8:30am or 9am and left about 3:30pm. Crew members were polite, good attitude, they all seemed to know what they are doing, and their craftsmanship is excellent, always clean up after themselves.
They were definitely shown a true definition of what a team work means. Installation went smoothly and completed without glitches. If you are in the need for AC and furnace service or purchase a new system, I recommend to give AD Cooper a call. After doing business with this firm for 10 years I did not hesitate in calling Cooper Co. to replace a thermostat on my Carrier AC/Furnance. I was quoted a price of $108 dollars on the phone when I requested the service call & was suprised at the $142 dollar thermostat that the service man arrived with two days later on Friday morning. An immediate call to the company was fruitless. no one would acknowledge that I was quoted $108 dollars two days earlier. or why it was necessary to replace failed thermostats every 3 & 1/2 years on a new $ 8,000 dollar system that was installed 10 years ago.
I knew that $142 for a thermostat was excessive.but also knew that if I refused the unit I would be hit with another service charge to bring out a different thermostat. The installation of this unit took 1.5 hours by an inexperienced service man who not only took my old thermostat when he left, but also took the instruction/installation sheet for the new unit.
I immediately made a cell phone call to the service man who advised that he would return my instructions that afternoon.which never happened. Additonal calls to the service man & the Cooper company were unanswered throughout the weekend. I finally received a call from a rude "Tom Jr." three days later who advised that he would mail me the instruction/installation sheet.
I advised that that was not reasonable & expected someone to deliver my instruction material immediately. After another 5 minutes of rude exchange with this "Tom Jr." I hung up the phone & called my bank to stop payment on my $ 260 charge for a simple thermostat replacement. In summary. Another call from a "Tom Sr." a few hours later assured me my paperwork would be delivered. and was.
I can purchase this $142 dollar thermostat on line for $ 49.50 retail with free freight & no CA tax. which indicates a mark-up of about 300% if Cooper purchased from a local electric wholesaler.
