A/C repair service for a unit they sold and installed for me several years ago. They were easy going on the phone and onsite. They listened to me and worked with me (i didn't want to void my warranty, fixing a repair i could of handled on my own technically, by ordering a generic matching part online) w2They fixed the problem I had diagnosed quickly once they made it out here to service the unit.
I would of subtracted a star for that in my review, except I filled out a thing on their website for a free service call with any repair. The part was under limited warranty for 10 years. I ordered the unit 4-5 years ago. They indtalled it and carried parts on service vehicles for these Trane A/C units. In my case it was a bad capacitor for the outside fan. Onsite test and repair took 30 minutes or less and I only paid the limited warranty (predefined) price for that part, and the service call fee waived (for free). So, we were back up and running in no time after that. Been fine the last few days since the repair and it's only gotten hotter outside each day since. Thank you!

Very honest and respectable company. Had an issue with billing that included unapproved work from a technician. The company was fair about the work and removed it from the bill. All the office staff members were super respectful and prompt about addressing issues. After the system was fixed, there was a new issue that occurred. They sent out their tech promptly to address the issue. Overall, we will be using this company again should we need further work due to their phenomenal customer service.

I've used Nelson Comfort ever since I moved in 14 years ago. Every single person at this company presents themselves in a professional manner and always leave the job site better than they found it - that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. They'll answer you straight even if it's not in their best interest as a company - and often I find that their advice on next steps or equipment choices ends up being the decision I'd make myself.
Besides A/C, in the past they've also installed a thermostat and a furnace for me - all top notch jobs. The most recent gentlemen I've had here (Matt, Mike and Eric) all were great to work with. Love this company and couldn't recommend higher.

Steven was great! We moved in to a new home that has geothermal heating & cooling. We had no knowledge of how the system worked. The technician was unable to repair the heating system on a Saturday emergency call and quoted me a $713 control board but was unable to tell me if that would fix the problem. I paid him $129 on invoice 93663573 for the visit but he was unable to properly troubleshoot the problem. When I called in a second opinion on Sunday, he was able to get the furnace working by pulling some codes from the control board and unclogging the condensate trap. Turns out I am going to replace the whole furnace and outside A/C unit because it is so old and wore out. But at least I was able to get my tenant heat while we wait for the new units to come in. Sorry for your loss.

Cody responded to my call to the answering service within 15 minutes and committed to arriving within 45 minutes and arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and successfully repaired our heating system under 10 minutes. We had heat on a night that was 20 degrees. Thank you Cody and the Nelson Comfort team! If there was a 10 star rating I would give it to Ryan, as he was incredible! He worked efficiently and was very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to me and asked if I had any questions. He also provided some recommendations that I wasn't aware of to help with airflow and cleanliness. I will only go through Nelson Comfort moving forward because my experience can't be beat.

The AC/Heating/Humidifier installation was fine. But it is the second winter and nothing is coming out of the humidifier water line. I see the steel valve they placed on the copper line is completely corroded and falling apart. I called but too bad for me given the 1 year warranty is up. I need to call a real plumber.

Our furnace went out during the evening a few days after Thanksgiving. I called Nelson and they put me on the schedule and had a service tech out to my house that afternoon. He got the furnace up and running after a cold morning of blankets and electric heaters. Thank you very much. I will definitely recommend their services to anyone that I know that needs heating or a/c service.

My experience working with Nelson comfort was good up to the point of installation, but post-installation experience has been very poor. I had a new furnace and AC installed through Nelson comfort. First, I was verbally told that they will give a free post-installation service/tune-up for the furnace. Admittedly, this was not mentioned in the invoice and just verbally conveyed to me.
When I tried to schedule the service, I was denied since it was not in my invoice. This is the relatively minor thing. Secondly, I had a larger AC installed so as to avail the Duke energy rebate. This paperwork is typically processed by the company which installs the AC, and to the best of my information, should take 2-3 weeks. I am still trying to chase that paperwork a couple of months after the AC was installed. Overall, very poor service after the installation.

No stars Nelson Comfort installed an A/C unit for us 5 years ago. This July 1, we came back from vacation to a house that was over 80 degrees. We called Nelson because we thought the warranty we had was with them. Victor was headed to our house by noon. I called a friend of mine, described the problems we were having, and he suggested it might be. the capacitor.
Then Victor called back, close to noon, and stated he couldn't service our unit because he's not licensed to work in KY. Now we were going to be another day without A/C. I eventually called back pretty furious that Nelson intentionally has large periods of time where they have no technicians scheduled that are licensed to work in.

Was supposed to be here at 8 am to come look at our HVAC system that needs to be replaced. They didn't show OR call My husband had to call & only THEN did they let him know that our appt. got put into the system as today, but "somehow" it got changed to a different day in another system. Horrible way to run a business all around. Now, not only is my humans going to be 2 hrs. late for work, he's going to have to leave early to make a 5 pm. "rescheduled" appt. this afternoon. Already disappointed & frustrated. Hopes are not high.

My furnace stopped working properly and I had no idea what was going on so I googled this company and noticed they had 5 star reviews. I called them after my home warranty would not help me and was very glad that I did. The service man was named Ron and was kind and very knowledgeable. He told me he had 10 years of experience and his work on my oil furnace proved to be true. He not only fixed the problem but showed me how to as well. I will call them in the future! We had a great experience with Nelson Comfort. We asked two other companies to bid on our home HVAC work and Nelson was the lowest of the three and provided a great quote with great equipment (which we. researched). The workmanship associated with the install was top-notch. We enjoyed everything about our experience with Nelson Comfort. Highly recommended.

Can't thank them enough for taking care of my heating needs so quickly. Thought he had the right part on his truck but it didn't work. HORRIBLE rip off. Came to fix the furnace clogged drain said they didn't have the right pvc pipe cut the pipe in half told me hundreds more for them to go to home depot and get $3.47 of pvc to complete repair, never even flushed the line, etc, etc and left it for me to fix and charged me $165 for absolutely nothing!
