I inherited my parents house last year after losing both of my parents unexpectedly. I've never had to call any type of technician or contractor because my dad could do it all. When the air conditioner stopped working I had no choice but to call someone for help. Luckily I picked OCM. Josh came out and checked everything over. He explained everything to me, gave me a couple of options, and he even helped me save hundreds of dollars with the Preferred Customer Plan.
A few days later Alex came out and replaced my AC unit. Both times the guys were knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly! It really put me at ease, especially since this was the first time I've ever had someone other than my dad fix ANYTHING! Then. A couple of days after the install I discovered the my heat wasn't working anymore. I called and they came back out that afternoon. (The problem wasn't from the work they did, just remnants of some Rube Goldberg set up daddy made lol). I had a great experience with OCM and plan on being a customer for a long time.

I have been using One Choice for several years. They were the first company that didn't put a band aid on the problem, they spent time troubleshooting and fixing the problem. This company is amazing! From Brandy who set me up, from Lucas that diagnosed at 11pm on a Sunday night, to Mark who completed the repair. Everyone was so sweet! They kept me up to date every step of the way, and my kids are now happy because it is "no longer a billion degrees" in our house. They treated me, my family and even my dog like we were priority number 1. I absolutely loved them.

We moved into a new house and the humidifier attached to our furnace wasn't working properly - a lot of water was draining below our floors, ruining the installation we had recently attached to our HVAC ducts. We called MANY different HVAC companies but no one seemed to know how to fix the problem. One Choice Mechanical sent Chris over and wow - he knew how to fix it AND he was polite, professional and efficient.
The pipe he used to drain some of the hot water from the humidifier concerned him, so he special ordered an insulated pipe for us - free of charge - and One Choice Mechanical followed up with us when it was finally shipped to them. Chris came over again - this time with another friendly associate named Devon and they installed it - as well as streamlined some other piping so that the drainage would function properly!
Thanks to Chris and One Choice Mechanical - our furnace and HVAC ducts will last much longer and our humidifier will keep us comfortable all winter long! We definitely recommend this company - they are honest, professional, knowledgeable, reliable and they do high quality work!

They installed a new boiler and from the time they fired it up, it has been nothing but a nightmare. A 5th grader could have solder the new copper better than them. After repeated attempts by them to stop the leaks, it still does after a year. They apparently wired it wrong, and the pump motor keeps blowing fuses. After talking to the mfg. rep. He believes that it's wired wrong, but One Source can't figure it out.
Extremely poor communication and service. If they come out again they want to charge me for a service call for a problem they made and now refuse to fix. They deserve a zero.

Had these guys out several times. They are one of the only places around Louisville that I could get to work on my geothermal unit. They got the issue resolved first time out. Had them back to add a whole house humidifier same week. Friendly staff, special shout out for the great work from Josh Jarrett. Price was great, workers great. I'll keep using them in the future.

One Choice had a tech onsite to assess my failed HVAC unit within 45 minutes around 8PM. The service manager was highly competent, quickly diagnosed the issue and helped me understand my options to replace. The install tech Chris and his partner were both very professional, did detailed work and set my system up the way it should have been from the beginning. Great company, great service!

I appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the office staff as well as the ability of Lukas to diagnose and repair the problem quickly. He came after hours and repaired the issue as quickly as possible without attempting to sell me something other than what was needed to fix the issue. He came recommended and I would highly recommend using this company with any HVAC issue.

Replaced capacitor and AC started to blow cool air. Less than an hour after the technician left the HVAC fan stopped spinning and blows no cold air. Now they have to come back again tomorrow to possibly replace the motor. Technician seems knowledgeable and was very nice. I've used them before, but it just stinks when it's the middle of summer and they didn't fix it on the first visit. Would have been better if it at least lasted the night! Hopefully I can update my review tomorrow.

Service got scheduled within 2 days of initial call. The service tech Jared was on time, courteous, and professional. Very respectful of my home and did a great job fixing my system and getting me the best deal available. He was nice and easy to talk to. Left the system fixed and if there was any mess, he cleaned it because I never saw any. Highly recommend.

The service is great! Making the appointment, down to the technician everyone has been so kind and professional. Our technician notified us prior to coming or our home which is always nice with a bust schedule. I was sent a photo so I knew who to expect for safety prior to the appointment. Our technician was so polite and extremely informative. Highly recommend!

Lucas and his team have taken care of me professionally (commercial) and personally at our house for years. We added a mini split system that we installed ourselves, and didnt complete it correctly. Lucas sent Joey out this morning and he reflaired all fittings and charged the unit. He was efficient. He explained what was being done, and took great care of us again. I would highly recommend One Choice Mechanical. Great folks who take great care of their customers.

Our A/C went out in July, and One Choice Mechanical replaced the A coil (indoor evaporator coil), which was leaking freon. Everything worked great for a week, and then it stopped cooling again--on a Sunday in the middle of a heat wave. I called the office thinking I would have to leave a message, but to my surprise a rep picked up on the first ring--and told me they'd send someone out right away. Technician Joey was at our house within an hour!
He found and fixed a previously unidentified leak (this time in the outdoor unit) at no additional charge. Five stars for the follow-up call! I'm only knocking off a star because the outdoor leak wasn't found the first time. We've used One Choice for years and are very happy with them. Highly recommend.

We finally chose to replace our 40 year old unit since it was going to cost so much to recharge, according to the tech who came to inspect the unit. The install went okay but two days later we noticed there was a leak in the ceiling directly below the new until. The condenser pump had failed and leaked through the floor and the downstairs ceiling.
We called service and they came a few days later and determined the pump had been wired wrong which caused the pump to fail. Two days later we noticed the unit was not blowing cold air and once again called service. They came and said the unit was low on refrigerant, which probably didn't get filled during the install. They filled it and left saying to call if we had any problems.
Unit worked great for three days then we noticed the unit ran constantly but never cooled below 78 degrees even though the it was only 83 degrees outside. So, we call service for the third time. The tech arrived a couple days later and said there was nothing wrong and that newer units were made to run constantly and we just needed more insulation.
He made an adjustment so the unit would blow more, increasing the noise and still running 24/7. It is now reading 79 and it is only 83 outside. The tech didn't seemed at all concerned about the virus and took none of the COVID-19 safety precautions during his visit. At this point we are at a loss. A 40 year old system was able to cool the space reasonably well.
Two install errors caused problems, one of which left our ceiling damaged. This is the absolute worst experience we have ever had and we still are having to install window units to keep the rooms below 79 degrees even on mild days. Basically we just threw away $6000 for nothing.

We have used One Choice Mechanical several times for our town house in Louisville. We first learned of One Choice Mechanical through our home warranty program. One Choice Mechanical has repaired our air conditioner and heater in the past. This week Joey of One Choice Mechanical repaired our inoperative heater in the evening of one of the coldest nights in Louisville. What a relief to have heat again! Thank you, One Choice Mechanical!

I couldn't say better things about this company. I was worried because my home warranty company picked them and I know home warranty companies are notorious for going with the cheapest bids. However, after first getting an independent quote for fixing my air conditioner with another company which wanted to charge me $8400 with a whole new system and no repair -- One Choice Mechanical solved my issue within the hour and had my place cooling again by just paying my $100 deductible and replacing the air compressor. Thank you and I am glad there are still honest companies that exist in the world! :

They would love to replace or repair your units for thousands of dollars but don't bother asking them to do any minor little thing with your system that would save you thousands of dollars. Doing things "Their" way not your way is the only "Choice" your going to get. I wish people in this industry would stop robbing people and just do what the customer wants without their misguided advice and flat out dishonesty.
Not only that I will NEVER NEVER NEVER use Angie's List as a source to hire Contractors again because they are totally corrupt allowing ratings and reviews for this company to be that high is obviously very very very suspicious and CORRUPT!

After speaking with five different contractors for a service call focused on a high electric bill, Lucas was the only one who fixed the problem by fixing the problem versus others want to sell a new system. We spoke late Friday. He offered to come out Saturday morning. "No service fee. Unit is under warranty. Part is in stock at his preferred supply house.
We will have it fixed Monday" for the best price of the other 4 guys. Highly recommend Lucas and his senior tech, Anthony, who were both professional, prompt, and courteous. Saving him for all future work. Best part is he was recommended from one of the other four technicians for being the most knowledgeable about my future want of hydronic, radiant heating. Even his competitors recommend him.

The company should change their name to "No Choice Mechanical ("NCM")" I contacted NCM to have them go out to a rental property I have in the area to check on an A/C unit which my tenant stating wasn't cooling properly. The phone rep stated she could have a technician at the property by 10a the following morning. I advised the rep that I was an out-of-state landlord and to contact me once the issue was accessed.
By 2pm the following afternoon I had heard nothing from "NCM" and decided to reach out to my tenant. To my surprise, my tenant informs me that the technican had already come by and COMPLETED the work. COMPLETED?! I did not give NCM the authorization to proceed only to access. I am an informed consumer and wanted the opportunity to compare quotes. I immediately called NCM and was told that I owed $450.00; the cost of adding freon to the unit. Additionally, I was informed that this was a temporary fix due to a leak in the system and that they would waive the $450.00 price if I paid them nearly $2500.00 to REPLACE the unit!
Of course I was livid. The owner, Lucas, accepted NO responsibility in the matter and merely suggested that he send his technican back to the property and REMOVE the freon that was added and "only" charge me a $130.00 service fee. This exorbitant fee was NEVER discussed when setting up the appointment. WHAT A JERK! NEVER NEVER use this company! NCM charges $78/lb for freon. I later found out their competitor Heating Advantage only charges $48/lb. They were next on the list to call for a quote but One Choice Mechanical, left me NO CHOICE!
