Aquamaid Pool Techs

I paid for services and devices they never brought out or completed. They refuse to refund me and will not supply me with the photos they promised after cleaning. Bad business, they lost out as I am planning to have significant pool upgrades.

I just used this company again. They still friendly, helpful and good prices. I totally recommend them for your pool repairs. 06/15/ 2022 I finally found a pool service I can recommend to others. Aquamaid employees where very professional and helpful. While having repair done they where able to offer me recommendations for repairs with in my budget. I am happiest I have been in over a year with my pool thanks to Aquamaid. I will use them again when I have pool issues in the future.

My pool service sold/closed down a few months ago. Aquamaid pu our service. The first time in 12 yrs our pool had algae. I sent a pic to the office manager requesting something to fix the issue. Zero call. Sent another email requesting owner contact me. No call. Received a text 5 days later to purchase a device for basket to help with algae. While pool had algae they did a filter service which is redundant as the algae infects the filter then continues to infect the pool. Hired a new pool service & it took 1 week and multiple filter cleans to get pool fixed.

I requested final bill. They sent me 3 different invoice #s for filter cleans. Not the same invoice 3x. They were charging me 3 x for a filter clean they did while pool was infested with algae. Plus, they never called & confirmed I wanted the service to begin with. Tech showed up out of the blue on non sked pool service day. Prior to all of this I received notices to pay my bill AFTER I had already paid it. It's like they were trying to get me to pay twice. There are some shady business practices going on with this company.

The pool service company we used for over 13 years unfortunately sold out to Aquamaid. Within weeks of them servicing my pool I developed a scum line going all around my pool and noticed they weren't moving my pool loungers to brush under them causing algae. Worst service ever!

Their biggest drawback is keeping the customer informed of progress. They do not call back with updates, scheduled times, part availability, etc. I need to keep calling them. Lance Jones, the owner, means well, but I feel his staff and crew are overwhelmed and unable to keep lines of communication open.

This company acquired my account from my local gal. The only notification I received was a text message saying they took over my pool and asked for my email as they needed it for billing purposes back in July. Last week I hadn't received anything or a visit so I texted my old pool gal and that resulted in an email with official letterhead, policy and info.

Nothing about pricing. So yesterday I called the number and spoke with someone who sounded like a child. I began with my story of how they have my pool account and can I speak with someone about my pool services. She was rude from the start and said yeah, tried to answer my questions. I asked when they were coming out and who should I expect. She gave me a male name and I asked if he was an older gentlemen or younger and his race.

So I know. She paused and came back with that shouldn't matter. Um yes, it does I want to know who I'm looking for. She rudely tried again with race shouldn't matter then I asked how long they have been in business and was told since the 80s. And she ended the call. This is not how you handle business. In the past when a company is scheduled to come to my home, I not only get an office call but a text message with the tech info and photo. In this day and age a heads up of who to expect at my front door is not asking a lot. Canceled my account. Unacceptable poor customer service. Wish I could give 0.

Wonderful service! I was so impressed by Joe's fast diagnosis of my pool pump's issue and he was so kind and knowledgeable in walking me through what went wrong and how to fix it. He even took the extra time to show me (a very new pool owner) how my valves work and answered all my questions. He was able to get the new part and fix it within a couple of days. I will definitely be calling y'all again for any future issues! Thank you, thank you!

Everything was going fine considering the circumstances (2021 freeze) until they went to install the heater. They said they needed the gas shut off and told us to call the gas company and left for the day. I got the gas shut off. Then they said the wouldn't even touch the gas lines and I would have to get the propane company to do that part of the install.

When I pointed out that I was paying them $1200 over the sale price of the heater to install the heater and that I expected them to be able to, you know, actually install the heater they refunded for me just the cost of the heater took the new heater and just left the job half done with everything disassembled. Would not recommend.

I usually do not write bad reviews, due to the impact of covid and the economy and what impact it has on a business. However, I am at my last option here with this company and willing to take this down if they make things right. I had a pool pump installed less than 3 years ago and it's under warranty. I had called this company Feb 12 prior to the freeze/storm and they came out to take a look at my pool pump.

The tech that came out said it needs replaced and it's under warranty. The company dropped the ball and it's been nearly a month since then and I have called them at least 4 times since then. The last time I spoke with them the owner yelled at me over the phone and swore/vulgar at me. I told him I did not lose power and your tech came out before the storm. This is a very unprofessional company and I do not recommend them at all.

Wow! I am highly impressed! The service is outstanding! I live in Houston. The freeze makes it VERY HARD to find parts. I ordered a housing for my pump that came damaged. It happens. I called them and Lance answered the phone. He knows his stuff! Called on Monday and got my part on Tuesday afternoon just like he promised. I took a picture of the defective housing and sent it to him He made sure to take the replacement out of manufactures bag to make sure it was not defective.

I am doing my own work on my pool system. He recommended the correct parts to hook my 2 inch PVC pipe to the pump housing. I am VERY impressed. Lance knows the CORRECT way to connect PVC to housing. Lance explained to me why there is a shortage of parts. It took three different stores to find my parts. It was MUCH cheaper than Leslie Pools and Amazon. Aquamaid will be my store to go to.

I have made them a favorite and will keep there info in my pool folder. Five stars is NOT enough stars. I have worked retail for many years. There are few stores that truly care about clients. They care! They arer outstanding! From a very impressed client! I am going to send them a thank you note. I only do that for outstanding service! Em

Lance looked all over the state and got me a new heater for the pool -it's working great!

I do not usually write poor reviews but subsequent to the ice storm Aquamaid has been completely non-responsive. I was a regular customer with weekly services when I first requested the pump to be fixed after the ice storm. It took them a couple of weeks to respond which given the high demand seems reasonable but they never bothered to turn the filter on to test the pump at which time they would have noticed a massive leak and cracking in the pool filter container.

I called to let them know there was a big leak that needed to be fixed so that I could run my pump again. They told me someone would come out that next week and 5 weeks later after multiple phone calls and text messages requesting it to be fixed and multiple no shows I have decided to call another company. They actually sent someone to my house during this 5 weeks that basically told the office there was a big leak but no one communicated to me or made any attempt to schedule a repair after my multiple requests.

However they still managed to keep sending me constant bills for services they weren't performing. When I called to tell them I would need to find a new pool service they actually sounded relieved because they seem so overwhelmed and disorganized. I would not suggest this pool company especially for repairs. Multiple no shows is unacceptable.

They were awesome and repaired the heater on the pool very fast and had all of the parts required and no surprises. I am asking them for more help on the pool.

Your team was responsive, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company for your pool needs. I can fix most things on my pool and have so I have a good idea of how things work and what they cost. I needed my heater replaced and didn t want to mess with gas lines etc and I needed it done quickly. Lance at Aquamaid is great. Both Lance and his team are very knowledgeable. Lance was very patient thru all my many questions and phone calls. Lance had me up and running very quickly and I am happy with the cost , his equipment recommendation was perfect. His team did a very nice looking and well functioning install. I highly recommend Aquamaid Pool Techs.

I moved into my house about 7 months ago and had never had or had to maintain a pool. After 7 months, I just couldn't do it anymore. There is so much information out there on pools and I had done all the maintenance I could stand. I called several pool companies in the area and Aquamaid is the only company that actually sent someone out to look at the pool. Jared and his trainee (Jacob I think) were absolutely fabulous. Jared was VERY knowledgeable, professional and answered any and all questions I had. They had the pool in perfect condition within an hour. I would definitely recommend Aquamaid Pools! Swim on my friends!

I would highly recommend Aquamaid Pool Techs. The staff was very knowledgeable. We recently bought a house in Arlington with a pool. We had several issue come up with our new pool. We contacted Aquamaid, not only were they professional but prompt! They took the time to explain to us the issues we were having with our pool. The prices we very reasonable. We we were so impressed we signed up for the weekly service.

Aquamaid has been servicing our pool for many years. Yesterday they replaced our pool filter. They were on time, I never knew they were here, reasonable, always polite and knowledgeable. (NO mess to clean up). It was installed within three days of our call and is wonderful. Our pool is over 35 years old and Aquamaid has remodeled, maintained, and repaired our pool over the years.

They are reasonable and awesome. So far, it only gets better! My pool looks as great as my son's brand new pool.... maybe even better... but don't tell him! Easy to work with, quick to respond, and very reliable. I can't find where I post a picture, but my pool is sparkling CLEAR!

I was referred to Aquamaid by a friend 4 years ago. They have been reliable and trustworthy throughout this time. I have recommended them many times to friends and neighbors. Also, I have had the same tech during this time (Chester).

AquaMaid did a great job remodeling our pool. Everything was completed as planned. The crews worked safely and professionally, they arrived when they said they would and kept us informed every step of the way. The cleanup was great and we were very pleased with the results. Horrible pool service, I was being charged for full service when the appearance of the service they provided was far from FULL. The end result was an estimate of $500 to get my pool back to swimming condition from their FULL SERVICE.

Lance and his crew are top notch! Everything we discussed happend exactly the way it was supposed to. Highly recommend!

I called our Home Warranty company in June 2014 and they assigned Aquamaid Pool Techs to us. They responded very quickly and did a fantastic job. Jason responded and he was very knowledgeable and fixed our problem in a matter of minutes.

Very organized, coordinated, beautiful replastering of our pool. Lance answered all my questions without condescending. Friendly and does not pressure you to spend on things you don't really need. Excellent price for the finished product. Great follow-up on progress of work. Linda at the office is very courteous and helpful. They have a very efficient operation. I highly recommend them for any pool structural work or periodic servicing.

They came and examined the problem gave me a fair price to fix it; the work was done on time as promised. There was no exaggeration of the problem, like the other company wanted me basically to have a new system and new filter.

They are poor at best. The owner is terrible. The service was ok, however if there were any issues and there was, he made every excuse defending his actions. He has a rude attitude like he is the only pool service around.
