I have had this company come out for the last 2 or 3 years to service my AC unit. Last year (2020) I paid Action $1142.28 total (2 visits 6 weeks apart) and I'm still having the same problem of no AC. The first time the system was out of freon, they charged it, checked the connections, blew in nitrogen, found a small leak, and put in easy seal. That lasted barely 6 weeks and they had to come out again.
The second time they did the same thing, stayed a little longer, took out all the freon, blew nitrogen, said it was a leak again, cleaned out my entire unit, added freon, and it was good for the remainder of the summer (1 month). I haven't had the AC on since then and last Friday I turned it on and it blew out warm air. I feel like whatever they did during those 2 visits was absolutely useless and I paid almost the 1/3 the amount of a complete new unit. My unit is only like 8 years old. Every time they come I have to pay a trip charge and it's a temporary fix.

Alex was quick to respond to our questions. He came out, looked at our old A/C unit and offered options for the next steps. His candor and upbeat attitude were refreshing. The installation was quick and while it took some time to install, he was professional and did not leave any mess. Additionally, he installed a new thermostat we purchased. I recommend this business.

I had a heating issue on a Sunday (Super Bowl) Night where my furnace was only blowing cool air (mind you it was probably the coldest night. Nevertheless, I made it through! I called Monday and spoke with Gloria and explained what the issues were with the furnace, she asked a series of questions in regards to what was happening. She then suggest I check the filter, in which I am smh because it should have been changed months ago.
I changed the filter and the heat kick in. I want to let everyone know Action Heating & Cooling are the BEST because of people like GLORIA! Thank you so much for saving what could have been hundreds of $$$ dollar to buying filters that cost less than $20 buck. Gloria you ROCK! Janet Butler

Had 2 tune-ups & some minor fixes (replaced humidifier controller, fan & radiator valve) of our home forced air furnace & rental property boiler this morning by Action Heating & Cooling. We appreciated Mike's availability with a few days notice to look at both the furnace & boiler this morning, as we specifically requested a steam boiler expert for our needs due to issues with generalists who aren't as familiar with single-pipe steam boilers. Talked with Tanya a few days ago to schedule it, and was told the $75 hourly rate for boiler work & tune-ups & the flat $129 fee for forced-air furnace tune-ups. Was charged both a flat $150 boiler tune-up fee & new $99 hourly rate (1 hour today) for the boiler tune-up that took 20 minutes & wasn't complete compared to the last tune-up with Action (just cleaned burners & raised pressuretroll this time-not recommended to increase pressure in our setup), didn't clean low-water cut-off probe or water sight glass. Verified that experts recommended against adding more water than needed, so didn't take his advice to flood the boiler with a 2 minute vs. 10 minute current low-water cut-off water refill delay due to system condensate water returning in about 5 minutes anyway.
The white plastic drain-box was left off the furnace after the tune-up and we noticed about a gallon of water around it later that evening. Called the after hours number for service and didn't have a good experience with the operator-she didn't provide her name & told us we'd be billed for the trip to fix the leaking furnace. So much for the 30 day labor warranty guarantee we see on our invoice from a few hours earlier!
We observed some contradictions in the advice we were given about steam boilers as well-we recommend finding another company or doing as much as possible yourself since steam boilers are a lost art these days and modern forced air furnaces can be problematic (if not put back properly) as today's drain leak shows. Update later tonight: Matt called back & stopped over to verify the leaking water was due to the drain not being clamped-we had put it back ourselves while waiting for him to arrive an hour or two so after calling.
He was friendly, but also forgot something-flipping the power switch to the furnace back on when he left. We appreciated he remembered and called us about it later that evening.

I had such a horrible experience with this company. Especially with their tech Jim. Who by the way is very unprofessional and rude. As soon as he saw my furnace he said, I'm not touching this. He did not know how to trace conduit for incoming power disconnect switch. Another tech had to come out and take a look at it. Joe was more professional and so knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions.
You can tell he knew what he was doing. Not like Jim who conducted poor service. I would not recommend this company at all. I even left a voicemail for the manager. Not a surprise she never called me back. Shows you how this company conducts their business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This is our second time using Action Heating and Cooling. Because the heating system is radiant hot water, they sent out Mike again. Mike called me when he was on his way so I could meet him at the property. He was able to troubleshoot the reason why the heat went out and fixed it pretty quickly. Since he had some time in the hour billing, he took a look at the other furnace for the upstairs unit and did some preventive maintenance on it.which would have most likely required another call down the line if we had let it go longer.
I feel Mike was honest about what needed to be done and he worked efficiently. He explained the issues to me when I had questions. He also pointed out a maintenance issue in the basement that was unrelated to the furnaces so I could correct it immediately. I recommend Action Heating and Cooling and if you have an older radiant heat system, ask for Mike.

Had a furnace installed over the winter and my air conditioner wasn't hooked up completely due to the wi fi thermostat i was given for the promotion the company was running. Action installed a new wi fi thermostat that was better suited for my house and I was provided a free air conditioner tune up for my inconvenience. Thanks action for your corrective plan of Action!
