Texas Painting

Worst painting job we've ever experienced. The contract clearly stated that they would clean the house and prepare surfaces. The crew shows up on day one and starts painting. I asked why they weren't cleaning or prepping, and they said Jeff told then they didn't need to do it. I told them they needed to at least clean the back surfaces, to which the crew appears visually "put out" and say that they "don't have a surface cleaner" and ask if I have one.

I gave them my pressure washer (small) which they avoid and pull out a professional pressure washer out of their van (surprise!). They cleaned the back porch and nothing else, and only because I insisted. Fast-forward a couple weeks and Jeff sends out a 2nd rate "crew" to address issues with quality. They of course manage to do absolutely nothing (see attached picture).

The photo of the side of the house is from well after the 2nd visit. The 2nd visit was to specifically address quality issues like this. Such a tremendous waste of money. Avoid this company unless you want to pay someone to do a half-a** job. We'll be issuing a complaint to the BBB as well. Now we'll be looking to spend another grand or two to get someone else out here to fix this.

Jeff came highly recommended, and I am so glad we called him. Not only did he beat out every bid we received, his team did a fantastic job. We live in an older home, and they transformed the inside. Jeff and his team were here promptly, prepared, courteous and very professional. The job was done quickly and very neatly. They had provided color palette ahead of time so we could pick out the paint without having to enter a store our self to browse which mean a lot. Very pleased.! Jeff completed the work earlier than estimated, they were extremely professional and friendly. Jeff brought one guy to assist, and they moved the furniture, covered everything up, and got the whole 1st floor done in one day. One of the rooms was done in a dark purple, which is difficult. It came out gorgeous. They needed more paint than expected and went out that day and got it - We didn't even notice the issue and they didn't charge us extra.

The next day they came out themself and fixed up everything on our "punch list" - which wasn't much. They made sure we were satisfied with everything and told us that if our fiance (who works out of town) wasn't satisfied when they got home, to just call and they would come back and fix whatever needed to be fixed. We would recommend them without hesitation to our own mother. These guys were great.))

These guys did a great job for me and they got it done fast. I trusted them in my home and their work looks great. Really appreciated all the moving of my stuff they did, I didn't have to lift a finger and they put things back more or less where it all belonged when they were done. Thanks! Texas Painting Company just completed painting all the exterior trim on our craftsman style two story house - lots and lots of trim. We chose Texas Painting Company over other companies which supplied bids because of the professional demeanor, thoroughness and detail awareness of the owner. The bid was well done and complete. The painters arrived when scheduled, on time and worked efficiently.

We were concerned about protecting plants around the perimeter of the house, but no plants were damaged. The work done was excellent, and we would not hesitate to recommend this company. When we need interior work done, we will certainly call Texas Painting Company.

Jeff and his team painted the entire interior of our home in May 2021. We received a few quotes and Jeff provided the best price with the quickest turn around. They did all the interior walls, ceilings, inside of closets, our kitchen pantry, doors, frames, windows and ledges, and baseboards. Like I said the entire interior of our house! It was a big project and Mayra and her crew did a great job.

They arrived everyday on time and were very professional. They answered every question I had (which was a lot!). We selected five different colors throughout the house and we are so pleased with the outcome. The house needed a refresh and the new paint makes if feel so bright and new. Jeff and his team are the gold standard when it comes to interior woodwork and paint restoration. Highly professional, incredibly skilled, COVID safe and reasonably priced. They tackled a monumental job of restoring our 100+ Craftsman home including all interior wood beautifully refinished and restored to even better than original. Jeff and his crew are outstanding!

They are highly skilled, straight shooters and can take on any painstakingly detailed projects. In addition to the extensive woodwork refinishing, they resurfaced kitchen and bath cabinets, repainted the entire interior and portions of the exterior as well as resurfaced the downstairs shower. They did a beautiful job restoring the stairway, finishing the garage and basement and probably a 100 other things I'm remiss in mentioning.

No way I will ever use any other painting company for any painting project. Texas Painting Company completely transformed my kitchen. They sanded, primed, and painted some bland cabinets to a factory-like finish. I never knew someone could be this passionate about paint and painting as Jeff is. We had a great experience painting our house--who knew choosing a new color would be so difficult, but everyone at Texas Painting was very patient with us. They showed up on time, left the place spotless and finished the job in the time promised. I wish all contractors would be this efficient!

Second, I paid for expensive Direct to Metal Paint but they used cheaper Solo paint. Paint started to immediately come off the windows. Jeff followed up once and then I never heard from him again. Third, they got paint overspray on all my screens.

I have to now replace them. Fourth, they must of mixed the color wrong because I can not get touch-up paint the same to come even close to match using the same Sherwin Williams colors. I have to re-paint my whole front of the house.

Their work was sloppy. We had to make them clean up their mess each day. We are still finding issues with their job. To top it off, they cleaned off all their paint tools (without asking us) outside our house, leaving white paint all over the grass. They pulled a large rock out of a front flowerbed & used that to clean paintbrushes. We found the rock, covered in paint with white paint all over a fence that we share w/ neighbors.

We notified Jeff, the owner. He said he was disappointed and would send someone out to clean up the mess. 6 days later & of course no one has cleaned up the mess. If youre looking for sloppy work from an unprofessional crew, this is your company!

I hired them to paint a fence. After the painters left and I had paid in full, I emailed them pictures of the spots that were missed. He said they would come back out to take care of it. They never did, so having the fence painted was pretty much a waste of money. If I had wanted to do it myself (as I will have to do now) I would have just done that in the first place - I hired painters because I didn't want to mess with it.

I worked through Texas Painting Company using a Groupon, and had them paint a tricky space with an odd texture in my home. The work was thorough and accurate, and the team member from the company went above and beyond my painting request and touched up some areas I hadn't even pointed out where there was some wear and tear. A fine job, very much recommended.

"Dishonest" I saw the groupon for the company and called and made an appointment for the estimate. I was yet to buy the groupon at this time. Jeff came out promptly and gave us the quote for $1500. I was pleased with quote and asked him to send the contract and went ahead and bought the groupon. He didn't send me the contract for next 3 days. Meantime, i had called the company average twice per day.

When he finally sent me the quote, It was for $2500. Then he listed out $1000 groupon discount and the remainder was $1500. I was furious and called him to ask about it. He told me that he knew I had the groupon and $1500 was a quote with the discount. When he came out, I did not have a groupon nor I told him I had a groupon. He certainly did not tell me $1500 was the final price after the groupon since there was no discussion about the groupon what so ever. I didn't want to buy or tell him about the groupon as I was afraid I would get a hyped up quote. and unfortunately my paranoia was well justified in this case.

I hired them to paint the exterior of my house a few weeks ago. The bid was quick and well priced -- Jeff was great. The paint crew arrived quickly and was done in two days. After they left, I reviewed their work and I was extremely displeased with the poor quality. They replaced about half of the bad boards that the estimator had indicated would be replaced, did a very poor job preparing and painting several areas, and my favorite. left razor blades in the yard in three different locations.

I had to walk around the yard for two hours to make sure there weren't any more. In an attempt to remedy the situation I called and complained. The supervisor quickly came out to the house and discussed all of my concerns and took a lot of notes on what needed to be fixed. Three weeks later and they came out one time to fix things up and only worked on half the things.

I can still see a portion of the chimney that is not painted (30 feet away), missed caulking around the window, and did a half effort to fix the work on the trellis. Overall, very displeased. I can understand if you have a problem with a company, but when you call and complain and things still don't get fixed right the second time -- definitely a problem in the company. Do not hire them.

Tried them for powerwashing the house with a Groupon and was very pleased. My house looks great! No problems scheduling with them and they showed up on time. Good experience.

Back in February of this year, a guy came by giving estimates for house painting. It jump-started the new look our house currently sports. I ended up getting four estimates to paint the exterior of our house. We went with one of the two lowest estimates (the two lowest were about the same price). We used Texas Painting Company. It is a small local company.

You know it's small when the owner is the one who comes out to give the estimate. I signed the contract in March and the next day they started prepping the exterior for paint. Initially, we had thought we'd paint in May after we installed some new exterior light fixtures, but Jeff (the owner) said they could come back after we did that and touch up.

I imagine March is a slow period and he wanted to keep his guys working. The crew was very professional. On Thursday, they prepped, which included repairing the bottom of our back patio posts. On Friday, they painted. Then in April, James and our friend Aric replaced the lights by the garage, the front entry, and back patio with dusk to dawn lights.

They also installed a new security light on the back of the house. Two weeks later, as promised, Texas Painting came back and touched up by the light fixtures as well as a little on the doors. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. I definitely recommend Texas Painting Company to anyone who needs their house painted.

They also do interior work. The estimate actually hadn't included painting the garage door, but they ended up painting it and I'm so glad they did. It really improves the look of the house. If u don't read whole review. Just CALL Jeff at Texas Painting Co. A++ I am VERY demanding when it comes to people coming into my house to paint. I expect them to be polite, tidy & precise. Several other painters have left sloppy lines at ceiling and trim & were messy. They blamed the texture on my walls for the uneven line. Today--Jeff Hawken of Texas Painting Company sent 2 of his painters to paint our bedroom.

They were in & out in 2 hours and the paint job is PERFECT. We are extremely satisfied & have asked Jeff to give us an estimate for the rest of our house. YES YES YES--if you want a detailed, clean, quick paint job! Honestly--this is THE best experience I have EVER had with a painter.
