DGP Painting

We worked with Stephen at DGP about a year ago to do a substantial remodel of our new house: new exterior siding, new insulation, repair/replacement of exterior decorative wood, removal of popcorn ceilings, removal of crown molding, drywall repair, and full exterior and interior wall painting. I can only say the very best things about the DGP team and the work they did for us: rock solid work and great communication throughout the process.

Just last week, when an angry raccoon mother destroyed a soffit vent and part of one of our entryway columns, I texted Stephen and he had his team out right away; everything looked as good as new within an hour or two. I simply can't recommend DGP enough-won't use anyone else in Austin for our painting needs.

I had these guys paint the exterior of my 1965 ranch house that hadn't been painted in 15 years. They were incredibly thorough doing the prep, taking care of all the rotting wood on the eaves and siding, and caulking every tiny, and not so tiny, nail hole and crack. And the quality of the paint work was absolutely perfect. A super professional crew that took the time to get everything right. So glad I made the choice to go with this company, and their price was very competitive with other bids I got. Seriously, you want to use these guys!

I am, by nature, a very picky person. I've been told too picky. I've used painters before, and have never been completely satisfied. Ever. I am 100% satisfied with the work that DPG performed in my home. We had the entire interior of our house painted: walls, ceiling, and some doors and trim, along with patching of nail holes and a couple of larger holes.

They protected all floors and surfaces with extra care. They worked with me to make sure we had living space available throughout the job. At the end of each work day, they moved all equipment and supplies out of my way, and removed any trash and took it with them. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. The day before final clean up I was asked to go over everything and find anything I was not happy with.

I found four very minor things I asked to be touched up. And when I say minor, they were very minor. Before they left, everything was cleaned up and left in the same condition they found it, or better. The crew was professional, and managers were constantly checking in. We are already planning to have DPG paint the exterior of our home in the weeks to come. I recommend them without hesitation.

We used DGP Painting to paint the exterior of our rental home. A few months later we also used them to paint the exterior of the home we live in. Stephen was extremely professional and responsive. The crew were highly skilled and performed all work quietly and extremely well. Our private residence, in particular, posed several challenges and they met them all -- including our last-minute decision to add 4 additional colors for our entry and doors.

They also showed excellent carpentry skills in replacing damaged fascia before priming and painting. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs professional painting services.

I contacted 4 companies to give us an estimate. DGP were the only ones to respond. The price was right and the service was spectacular. I will definitely be using them again for the inside. There was a slight misunderstanding on some of my preferences, but they didn't skip a beat and made it all happen. If you need your house painted.there should be no other options. They are the best!

DGP painting did a wonderful job on the exterior of our 1960s home. The old paint was very weathered and the crew spent extensive time on prep work to make sure that the end result looked as good as new. They showed up on time every day and were very courteous, polite and kind. Communication with the project managers was excellent and they contacted us every day throughout the project.

From start to finish, the team at DGP was an absolute pleasure to work with. The onsite visit was informative (seriously, learned a lot about painting techniques, products, color-matching, etc.), the quote came quickly and was reasonably priced in terms of the request (all cabinets, multiple walls, drywall repair, etc.). The quality of the work was truly impressive.

The painters were always on time, professional and impressively fast. They took great patience and care to cover and protect everything - from floors to furniture. They were flexible as well; I changed colors and added more walls during the project and they managed it without issue. I'll absolutely work with them on all of my future projects and will be recommending them to friends and family.

I have used DGP painting on a couple of jobs now. The most recent was a water leak that did damage to my office. DGP did an excellent job repairing the drywall and matching the texture. Paint looks awesome, the office is back to better condition than before the flood. They were professional, on time. I was impressed when I saw the job supervisor taking the temperature of the employees so you know they are taking extra precaution for covid. Will definitely use them again in the future.

High Quality Service with Sage Advice Our home had not been painted in too many years. Peeling paint, exposed wood, alligatoring, rotten wood.and then it was determined that lead abatement was needed. Archie, the owner, guided us through this process without any charges for his advice and ensuring the lead abatement company did the work properly. Thus, protecting the painting crew and ensured that we received the quality work for which we were paying.

Then the DGP crew came to wash, prepare, and paint this historic home. It is beautiful! Neighbors' compliments and our happiness with the quality of the work made it all worthwhile. The home looks new and the historic windows properly cared for in the process. During the painting process as well as after, Archie and the crew of Miguel and Juan, provided advice in caring for the exterior over the next few years ourselves so that the look will last for many years.

Can't say enough about how great this team is. Was quoted quickly and while it was comparable to others, DGP offered more expertise and advice on the actual paint itself and my project. Guys came and completed job faster than planned and did a fabulous job. Archie is a great leader and was very responsive to issues or questions.

I hired DGP when I was remodeling my small business. I was a little anxious, because there was such a variety of surfaces that need to be done. We had old wood, new wood, exterior, interior, paneling and concrete. But Archie gave me a quote within a couple days and was able to get the work going right away. The work was done efficiently and I was super happy with the quality when all was finished.

Also since I was in the middle of remodeling, I was working in the same space as their crew for a week, and they were super professionals. Very courteous and friendly. I will definitely hire them again.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. We rented a house and decided to paint rooms in the house, time permitted us from repainting it back to the original color therefore we hired DGP. Their work was flawless, customer service was great and you can't beat their prices! Definitely recommend using them if you need anything done. Also did I mention they're local? It's nice to know customer service and satisfaction still matter these days!

We had Archie & his crew paint the trim and gutters of our rental property, as well as interior cabinets and walls before selling it. I thought we'd have to replace the gutters, but Archie advised us not to. Great decision -- their work to clean up & repaint made them look as good as new. The crew was on-time and friendly, and the job was finished when promised and on budget. Everything inside & outside the house looked amazing. We had 3 offers the weekend we listed it and sold at full ask. Would definitely work with them again.

Buying a new home is stressful. From showings, to negotiations, to closing and then to buttoning it all up to have it move-in ready. Once I closed, I stopped by my new home (without furniture/art/etc) only to find a lot more work ahead of me; discoloration on the walls, holes that needed filling, overall corrections, etc. Utilizing yelp, I sent a number of messages to local painters in Austin only to find DGP.

I was given a written estimate contingent on a site visit. The initial estimate was hundreds lower than others so I agreed to an on-site to see if we could bridge the gap. They met me a few days late, assessed the job and stuck by their quote; done! Ill preface by saying that I wasn't expecting much - I just wanted it to be move in ready, not mind blowing.

I was mind blow at the work done. The walls were crisp white, the imperfections were corrected and perfected, the patches filled and everything was done in ONE DAY! (600 SqFt condo). Upon initial inspection, I was in awe. One week later, Im still in awe. I couldn't be happier. Communication was open, price couldn't be beat and work was off the charts. Amazing locally owned and operated painting company. These guys are wonderful! Great customer service and outstanding quality. I would highly recommend DGP and would not hesitate to use them again. They painted our entire house when our last renters moved out and we moved in. I loved the color consultation and couldn't be happier with the results.

We recently had 2 rooms, cabinets, and a bunch of ceilings painted by DGP. From the quote process through completion, we enjoyed working with them. They ensured we understood the different options and their tradeoffs. We are thrilled with how much better our house looks now that it's been painted and highly recommend them for residential paint.

I'm updating my previous rating after Brent came out and personally addressed my concerns about workmanship. The crew retouched some areas and also made an effort to fix anything that wasn't to my satisfaction. I would give five stars but the clean up didn't meet my expectations.

This is my second time using DGP Our nursery room looks amazing and it's baby safe paint so we don't have to worry about those harmful chemicals. I would recommend them to anyone.

When we contacted DGP to see if they could do a caulk and grout removal job, we were told that our project didn't fit their monetary interest, meaning it wasn't a minimum of $1000 and casually dismissed us by telling us to go find a handyman instead because we were cheap. It was like a big slap in the face to be told our issue wasn't important enough because there wouldn't be piles of cash lining their pockets.

If money grew on trees, everyone could afford their services. But as it is, us normal people will just have to make do with more professional and courteous handymen who do not count their dollars before the sale.

Good, honest business! Archie came out to give us an estimate for painting our house that had been painted poorly when it was flipped by the previous owner. He gave us several options and we determined that it was best to wait and see. He totally could have sold us a job but was honest and said it wasn't worth doing at this time. We will definitely use DGP when we do re-side and paint our house in the future.

DGP just finished repainting the entire exterior of my house from a dark red to a bright white, in addition to some prep work (more than they had expected), and they also re-stained my front door. I can't say enough about what a great experience I had with them. Jesse and his crew, and Archie, were professional, honest, and communicative. Jesse even went above and beyond, even after the project was finished, to make sure I had the color stain I needed for my fence, so that it would match the door that they re-stained for me. I will recommend DGP to anyone who is looking for an excellent painting contractor. These guys are the way to go!
