Tex Painting

We recently used Tex Painting to paint the majority of our home's interior walls and trim. Patrick Ward managed the project, and he was excellent to work with. He was very responsive to questions, and before I could even point out any minor spots or places that needed touching up, he already had his team on it! Speaking of his team, they were also excellent!

My husband and I both work from home, so we were worried it would be noisy. However, the painters were so quiet, we didn't even know they were here. They did an awesome job, completed within the time Patrick said, and everything was very professional! I highly recommend!

I cannot warn people enough about this company. After seeing all of the great reviews and going onto the BBB site, I decided to pay about $7,000 more than the next closest bid because of their reputation. Without naming names, we had an incompetent project manager for this job. Electrical plates, hardware, mirror, lanturn glass, dog door and more were missing or broken.

Instead of keeping the hardware in separate bags for each room, they threw it all in a bucket and then couldn't figure out what went where and many items were lost or broken. I even found hardware that they threw into the garbage! Then they tried to replace the items with the cheapest quality possible. There were many places where they failed to paint at all, or sprayed poorly with low coverage - mostly because they were not paying attention.

The work they did do was clean after pointing out the issues. It took them more than 2 weeks to do the interior/exterior of a 2300 sq foot house that was completely empty. They usually showed up between 10-2 with only 1-2 guys. The project manager had every excuse in the book as to why there were missing parts, broken parts, short staffed, late every day.

I eventually had to have the owner of Tex Painting come out. He didn't seem to grasp the extent of the ongoing problems, but tried to be understanding. When I pointed out areas that were done poorly, he said "well who really sees that?" and the project manager said "we aren't painting the door because the new people will probably replace it anyways!" WHAT?

They gave me a discount of $1,000 for my troubles, but it hardly compensated for the troubles and delays that it caused me and the other contractors trying to get my house ready for sale. I was later told by a rep with the company that the project manager for my job was brand new. Had I not been there to manage this project from start to finish I can't imagine what it would look like.

I spent a great amount of time cleaning up after them, scrubbing spots from the floor, replacing lost items, doing paint touch up, and having to reinstall light and electrial fixtures. Not to mention, I had to reschedule the other contractors and delay the sale of my house. Such a horrible experience. I can't warn people enough. I have a feeling it was mostly a project manager issue.so be careful who they give you for your project.

I received a quote from Tex. It happened to be the highest one I received, but I would have still considered them since it was close to the others. I received a follow-up call today which I actually appreciated. However, the conversation did not go well. I told them I would likely use another painter and then he began to say how bad the other painter could be.

His tone had immediately changed for the worse. I finally said I didn't have time to argue with him since I was driving. Whenever a company has to build their case by tearing down a competitor, it's an immediate turn off. They may do quality work, but this approach didn't settle well with me. **UPDATE: I received a call from the owner (Scott).

He immediately took full responsibility (and ownership) for his employee's handling of the situation. He did NOT ask me to amend my posting, but I am doing so anyway! I am duly impressed with the manner in which he addressed my issue, and his offerings were very professional and courteous. He also did not try "sweeten the deal" in an attempt to get me to go with his company.

I told him that if I did not go with another company that I would seriously consider his firm. You simply don't see this type of concern and for someone who built his business from the ground up, it's understandable why he typically receives high reviews. I commend Scott and based on my interaction with HIM, I would suggest you consider his business for your painting needs.

Amazing how a coat of paint can change a room. We had paint and counter top replaced with quite a savings over full replacement. Dan is the "man" to work with. Great job.

Had a really great experience with Joel Laminack and his team for our popcorn ceiling removal job! We had a very tight timeline, but Joel was able to squeeze us in and get the job done. The removal was more difficult than anticipated, but Joel and his team honored their original quote and got the job done anyways, despite having to work a few extra days. We really appreciated all the hard work and the end result looks great! I would highly recommend Tex Painting for your popcorn ceiling removal needs!

Just had our exterior repair and paint done after a tornado and honestly had a great experience using Tex Painting to get the recovery effort going. Dan helped guide us through the repair needs so we could communicate accurately with our insurance on what we truly needed versus just what was suggested by the adjuster. Working with Tex Painting was painless, transparent, quality is fantastic, the crews were always on time and put in the time to prep for a very nice finished product.

We got a great result at a very fair and competitive price. I would highly recommend these folks to anybody needing an honest assessment backed by solid work. We liked the exterior work so much that we are using them for interior next!

I hired Tex Painting to remove popcorn ceiling in one side of a duplex I own. They took care of everything from removing the popcorn, through floating and taping the drywall underneath, to texturing and painting the ceiling. It turned out fantastic, and the crew was great to work with start to finish. My project manager Joel and painters Gilbert and Edward did a superb job.

I am so pleased with the whole process and the finished result. The work was high quality, the guys were professional and easy to deal with, and the price was right. Any time I need painting services in the future (and I will very soon) Tex Painting (and specifically Joel) will be on speed dial.

Tex Painting painted my entire home interior. They were responsive throughout the project. They were very flexible on scheduling and changes midway through when I wanted to modify a color choice. The quality of the work met my expectations.

With a transformative project (painting our house all white, including the brick), Stacie had the experience, the communication skills to competitively quote it and the experienced crew to make it happen. The results were amazing, and we still get compliments from our neighbors +6 months later. Stacie was a huge help as she provided pictures of previous jobs, effective references and helped to brainstorm specific color possibilities with my wife.

She knows construction processes, crew management, project management, and has a strong eye for detail. We also appreciated her follow-up after the sale. Next time we have any painting needs, Tex Painting will be at the top of our list!

Scott and the team at Tex Painting were incredible. I just bought a new house with awful popcorn ceilings and I needed the pros to come in to fix it. After calling around to a bunch of different places in Austin, nobody came close to Tex in terms of pricing and reputation. It was a no brainer. Honestly, I was wondering if it was possible to get the best deal AND the best quality work, and I'm very happy to say that our ceiling came out PERFECT!

Patrick came out and took his time explaining what all they would do, the time frame, the prep work for us, etc. Their pricing was in-line with the other quotes we got, but we felt like Tex Painting would do a better job (and they proved us right!) Osvaldo and crew did an excellent job, from the caulking and pre-work, to the painting, to the clean-up. The house looks so much better! I worked with Patrick Ward to have our siding replaced and the exterior of our house painted. I am incredibly pleased with the service from start to finish. He was easy to work with, super friendly, and patient to answer my hundreds of questions. The crew that replaced the siding also did the painting. Byron was great, as well as the rest of the crew.

The work space was always tidied and organized at the end of the day, and the house looks gorgeous. Stacie is a dream to work with bc she is reliable, honest, and has a really engaging personality. I was immediately impressed by her eventhough I am mostly skeptical of people trying to make a sale. It was also really refreshing working with a woman because most of the people in this field are men. There is a different flavor there when a woman is working with you.

I also really appreciated her painting design ideas for the future after we discussed what was to be done in the main areas of the house. She is intelligent and has an eye for color. You can definitely rely on her expertise. The actual work that was done was perfect. Stacie came over afterwards to personally inspect it and made sure nothing was missed.

She caught all the little places that still needed a little bit of paint. The end result was so great. We are very happy with this company and you won't go wrong for hitting them up for your painting needs.

Patrick Ward and his crew are AMAZING! Patrick was in constant communication with us and his crew to make sure that the entire process was smooth and easy. We had them out for two separate jobs and both times we were impressed with the professionalism, work ethic and skill of both Patrick and his crew. Both jobs were completed to perfection and they always cleaned up their workspace at the end of the day.

No paint drips or spots on the floors or ceilings like we've experienced using other companies in the past. You can tell that both Patrick and his crew take pride in their work. Loved working with these guys. Stacie was awesome. She explained the process thoroughly for how they painted the exterior. They were able to get the work started in a day or so and were completed within a couple of days. All my concerns for requesting the home be painted were addressed. There were a couple of little snags at the end and Stacie took care of them instantly. I would definitely recommend Stacie and her crew. 5 star for sure!

I had an appointment for a free estimate on Saturday, 12/18, at 9am. At 9:10, I called Tex Painting because no one had showed up or called to state they were running late. Their answering service had no indication that I was scheduled for an appointment even though I had email confirmation. They advised me that they would have someone look into it and call me back.

At 10:30, their technician, Andrew, called me stating he accidentally went to the appointment after mine and they happened to be home so he completed his appointment with them. Nevermind he was a no show for my appointment. You would think he would have had the courtesy to call and advise me he was late when he realized he went to the wrong appointment first. Instead, he called 1.5 hours after the appointment was supposed to be.

I wanted a quote, so I allowed him to show up 2 hours later at 11. Now, I was told at the conclusion of this appointment that I would have my estimate by Monday, 12/20. It is Monday, 12/27 and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED any sort of estimate. I even text messaged Andrew last week either Wednesday or Thursday following up with him (12/22 or 12/23). I did not even get a courtesy text back stating he was working on it.

Regardless of pricing, I WILL NEVER use this company. I cannot believe a company like thid stays in business with this sort of professional conduct. What an absolute embarrassment.

I received a quote from Jason to paint all ceilings in our house. The price quoted was very fair and reasonable. The deciding factor was the level of customer service before the project started. Jason always answered his phone or sent me a text stating he would call me back ASAP to answer all my questions - and I had alot. The crew he sent was courteous, respectful, polite, and efficient. Nothing was damaged in the home and they did exactly what Jason said they would do. Overall I was very happy with the project. Thank You!

We had an interesting experience with Tex painting. They showed up, bid the project, said it would be a one week job, we agreed on price and the painting commenced. We started the project with Shawn and everything was going smoothly. Shawn was a day or two behind schedule due to weather, but he was very responsive - so everything was good. Then Shawn passed away and the job went unattended for a week.

We were given a different project manager. Nice enough fellow, but wasn't on top of the crew. The crew wouldn't show up or would only show up for half a day. It was clear the job wouldn't be competed without our constant follow ups with the project manager. What was supposed to be a week long paint job devolved to over a month with multiple issues.

We are still waiting for them to haul off the trash they left behind. After numerous follow ups, it looks like something we'll just have to take care of ourselves. The current project manager kept blaming the passing of the first project manager for the continued poor service and response - but most things have nothing to do with his passing. I'm not going to completely knock Tex Painting down to one star as they did complete the paint job - it isn't to the level we expected for the money, but it's fine. We were just exhausted dealing with Tex Painting.

Had such a wonderful experience with Jason Hernandez and the entire crew from Tex Painting. We had the entire exterior of our house painted and it looks fantastic. The price was reasonable, they were super communicative and prompt. The job was completed efficiently but thoroughly. And everyone, top to bottom, were a pleasure to work with. We are very impressed and super happy with the results! Thanks again!

Having recently moved to Austin and being a first time homeowner, I was nervous to choose a painter that would do high quality work. Tex Painting, particularly Shawn, were incredible. Shawn was super responsive, honest, and so helpful when it came to planning the painting of my entire interior of my house. His team was consistently on time, and did such a beautiful job!

Patrick was the project manager overseeing our exterior painting, and he was absolutely wonderful. He was easy to reach by text or email, and was always very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure that everything was exactly what we wanted. Osvaldo was the primary painter on our project and we were very pleased with him as well.

He was prompt, very polite, and did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. Osvaldo made sure we were happy with the painting, but Patrick also personally inspected everything, which was great. I would definitely recommend Tex Painting.

It was simply a pleasure to work with TEX Painting. Stacie and her crew were just wonderful. They were easy to work with, accommodating, and displayed great attitude all the way through. Chuy, the foreman, was just wonderful, both, as a person and as a professional. Despite all the changes (big changes) we made to our original plan as the work unfolded, nothing was a problem for TEX Painting.

Everything that we asked for was met with a welcoming smile. This alone makes such a difference, let alone when moving to a new house with contractors working on various aspects of the house, even more so at a time when supplies are either out of stock or on back order, changing the scheduled dates for things. The only thing that I would perhaps encourage is attention to more detailed communication - for example, very specific paint colour, finish, product line, supplier information. Once, when we wanted to get some paint for future touchups, we did go and get the wrong paint because we thought that the colour match was the manufacturer! - the information for paints can be very confusing. Otherwise, I highly recommend TEX Painting to absolutely everyone.

We hired TexPaint for a popcorn ceiling removal and paint job and they did a fantastic job! We had 20 ft vaulted ceilings and really tricky ceiling angles and they were able to flawlessly remove the popcorn through the house. Some contractors skip steps but they did the job properly (spray, scrape, sand, prime, texture, paint), the end result is very smooth looking ceilings and no visible imperfections, we are so happy with how our ceiling looks now!

In addition, they also did a great job painting a few additional rooms, not only did you did a really good job with the paint, they also did patched up and repaired some of the nail holes in the walls, the results are impeccable, we highly recommend TexPaint for your popcorn removal and painting needs.

1) After multiple discussions about the best products to use for our project, and signing an estimate listing the agreed upon products by name, they decided to totally change the plan and use cheaper products. When brought to their attention, I was told there is a paint shortage and also told about how busy and overworked the job supervisor is. He just couldn't find the time to tell us that he had made changes. Ok, whatever. 2) The painter's work was bad.

The whole reason we were having our porch repainted was to protect the exposed wood where the old paint was flaking off. Despite saying they would scrape the peeling areas first (again, also in writing in the bid), the painter just painted over it without adequate prep. So I could just flake off the new paint with my finger. Sorry, but that won't work.

When we pointed out all the peeling and he went back and "fixed it" by scraping it down and reapplying a coat of paint so thin you can see the wood through it. It took them 3 attempts to get the wood properly covered with paint. 3) The painter brought his girlfriend(?) with him to hang out in our yard all day. She picked up a brush a few times and did some painting.

Otherwise she sat on our patio furniture smoking cigarettes. I asked her to pick up her cigarette butts off the ground and she just stared at me, then said she would pick them up before they left. Wtf? Shocked at the lack of professionalism by this "crew". There were so many issues that we ended up agreeing to pay less than their original bid. I was going to leave it at that, lesson learned, and not post any review, but I just found the cigarette butt in my flower bed that the painter's rude girlfriend said she'd pick up. Screw these people.

We hired TEX Painting to paint all of our kitchen cabinets as well as the bathroom cabinets and three rooms. They did an outstanding job! We worked directly with Patrick who managed the whole job and we couldn't have been happier. The crews were on time, professional and did a great high quality job. Patrick was always there for any question we might had and made sure the project finished on time & the quality is up their standards.

We hired Tex Painting to paint the interior of our condo. It was very fast and easy to schedule an estimate with them. We received a quote and scheduled the painters within a week. They did a great job on the walls, touching up the trim, and sanding and repainting our awful peeling doors. We also appreciated their flexibility as we had to do this job remotely. They were communicative and sent us pictures and a video of the finished job. Definitely recommend!

I hired Tex painting to paint two vacant rental homes that we were getting ready to sell. The first home was a newer home and the job went pretty smoothly. I was charged a premium to paint the older second home that needed a lot of prep work. The estimate was $3,000 more than the next estimate we got. Unfortunately not enough of the prep work was done, the job was messy, and they didn't use enough paint to cover the previous trim color.

The project manager was very knowledgeable and I appreciated her suggestions but her over promising and underperforming when there had already been rain delays caused us to have to reschedule the other contractors two times. Their office is hit and miss, one day the manager was very nice when I called to discuss the continued delays and lack of prep, the next time I called, she rudely spoke over the top of me saying I was repeating myself.

Yes I was, we still had days where no one showed up. We finally hired another painter to finish the interior while Tex Painting finished the exterior. I still gave four stars (probably should be 3.5) because I assume the project manager would have come and done some of the touch up if I had asked. We had time constraints due to other workers scheduled to come in so I gave up at the end not wanting to cancel them for a third time.

My husband did some touch up himself since we were in town. I'm afraid this type of contractor experience may be somewhat common right now with the high demand. I think our project manager was struggling to keep up with the other jobs she had running simultaneously. On several occasions she mentioned being at other jobs far from ours. In the end they completed the two jobs. Just not 5 star work.

Tex Painting just finished an external paint job on my duplex. They were fantastic, especially Patrick who supervised the job. For some reason, there was some uneven sheen on parts of the hardy siding (that was only visible at certain angles and lighting conditions), but they added several more coats to make sure it looked perfect. They didn't argue or try to negotiate their way out of it.

They wanted it done right. It's a real treat to work with a company that takes pride in their work, especially in Austin. I'll definitely hire them again for my next paint project!

I cannot say enough good things about Patrick & our experience with Tex Painting. We hired them to replaster & repaint all of our ceilings along with repainting all of our interior walls. Patrick was super thorough & knowledgeable & as a new homeowner, I really appreciated his honest advice & recommendations. He kept me up to date during all phases of the project & even sent me progress pics & videos, which was awesome!

*San Marcos area* Adam Jones and his team were efficient. We had quite the issues with scheduling with our contractor's timeline, and Adam was very patient with our rescheduling issues. The work was wonderful. The bid was the lowest of the three we received. This had me worried that maybe there was a reason the bid was so low, ie poor craftmanship, but that wasn't the case.

They had quite the endeavor with prep work before they could paint. We had issues with peeling paint from the former paint job, and they addressed those issues with multiple power washes, sanding and scraping until the peeling paint was no longer an issue. It took like three days of just that prep work. Tex did a great job of caulking, like five boxes of caulking was needed to fill all the window joints etc. The paint job is beautiful. We will be contacting them when we are reading to paint our interior.

We had a great experience with Dan and the Tex Painting team. Our home needed extensive trim painting and a lot of pre-paint carpentry repairs. The initial consultation was thorough - Dan spent a lot more time (vs. other companies I also called) inspecting my property and explaining the work they would do. The actual paint and carpentry work went smoothly and the results look great. The final walk-through to identify any touch-ups was equally thorough. I would definitely do business with them again!

I hired Tex Paint for a popcorn removal and repaint of my house. This job was supposed to be pretty straight forward, Adam came and bid the project and everything was reasonable. When the time came to start Adam and his team came to the house to prep everything and start. It was in this time we realized that we needed a new floor and Adam was able to recommend a company to get the job done in conjunction with the painting. Gilbert was the lead painter on site and he is absolutely the best I have ever worked with.

He was very attentive and did everything he could to keep us informed on the progress while we were away. Any issue that arose he made sure to check in to make sure I was happy with the change. From the start we had some major issues come up i.e. I needed a new ceiling installed. Tex Paint's owner, Scott, came back with a quote to fix, it was more than reasonable!

They were able to complete the project and it looks amazing. I cannot express how grateful I am for Tex Paint and their professionalism, quality of work, communication and attention to detail. I will only use Tex Paint in any future projects, they were definitely an amazing company to work with and to have work in my home. I especially want to thank Scott (owner), Gilbert, Adam and their crew for everything they did to get my home looking good!

I recently hired Tex Painting to paint the exterior of my house, and they did a phenomenal job. From contact all the way through completion they were timely and worked with me on dates that worked for us. From providing paint samples, to all the guidance / best practices, everything was second to none. Patrick even had his crew do some cleanup work to replace some old door frame boards and other repairs we hadn't even discussed.

I just had my entire house painted with Tex Painting. I worked with Stacie, and she is fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgeable and detail oriented. I had NINE colors with accent walls and everything turned out great. They are exceptionally good at prep work in order to protect floors and furniture. Every single Tex Painting team member was courteous, professional, considerate and skilled. Tex Painting did my entire office and they were half the price of the three other bids I got. They were in and out in a weekend. SUPER PRO. No one had to go home because of paint fumes, people in the way, etc. I'm going to use them for my house next! Def worth the call to get a quote.

The experience was exemplary from the very start. We worked with George who, from the beginning, we could tell wanted to ensure our satisfaction. The initial quote was a bit higher than our budget, and a bit higher than other quotes too, and George was happy to accommodate a discount to help make it more affordable.

TexPainting crews are quiet and efficient. Scott's professionalism is outstanding -he is super-responsive and super clear. Especially, when I was doing an inspection with him, I was pleasantly surprised that he noticed some imperfect jobs himself and voluntarily put the blue tapes on them, so that his crews can take care of the job later.
