Most of the people tend to believe that plumbing is no big deal, they end up realizing that there is more to plumbing than just fitting the pieces together once they actually set down to doing the work. As a result they end up taking chances and have to resort to guess work.
They manage to somehow put the bits and pieces together, but unfortunately, even before they can satisfy themselves with the thought of a job well done, problems begin to pop up again!Well, its time we realize plumbing easy as it may look, is no child's play! Its best left to a professional plumber who can do justice to the job and save you of much headache.

Report
A commercial plumber is practically indispensable these days. This is especially owing to the fact that with the growth of technology and development of new ideas the designs of the plumbing fittings, pipes, taps etc have grown all the more complicated than ever. They are tougher to understand and can be extremely sophisticated too.

Oscar came and fixed a number of small issues in our kitchen and bathrooms. He gave an honest assessment about what was useful (or not) to do in our old house, and once we decided on the "fixes" he got to them efficiently. One was a bigger challenge than expected, are required him to get additional tools, but he worked with his teammates and problem was solved!

A sewer smell was coming out of our air vent when we turned on our AC and we called Bayshore Plumbers to help find out what is going on. They are very good at communicating and easy to get an appointment. It was free and they were so nice and gave us tips as to why it was happening. Also love that this is a veteran owned business. We will be using them for all our plumbing needs. Thank you!

We had service with Bayshore Plumbing last month, and felt so happy and satisfied with their service. Brian was the guy who we mainly contacted and communicated throughout the process. Communication was clear and alway up to date. They actually would sent message to me the day before the next step of service so I knew the timing and progress. Sidewalk and street pavement patch were left clean and properly restored. This is very competitive business, we interviewed three contractors to do the sewer lateral pipeline replacement, and were glad we found the right one.

We had a couple of gas leaks suspected by PG&E (water heater, dryer and a kitchen range). It was non-trivial to get a plumber to check these out: a couple of places with really great Yelp and local reviews turned out to be very flaky: we had two appointments with a highly recommended plumbing company and no one showed up both times! No such thing with Bayshore: they took my call and quickly called back offering an appointment on Monday 8-10am. Jose was at our door exactly at 8am, quickly identified all sources of the leaks (lack of sealing in one place and a couple of loose connections) and fixed it all within an hour, at a very reasonable price. We'll be using them in the future for any plumbing needs.

We had a major plumbing issue in our crawl space. Rotted lines everywhere and sewage floating underneath our house! Our shower drain was disconnected and water was going directly from the shower onto our crawlspace surface. A real emergency and disaster. We called Bayshore Plumbers and Eddie came that same day and gave us an estimate which was very fair. Yes, a job like this is an expensive job but their pricing was justified.
He arranged for another company to clean the mess (they were awesome as well) and then Eddie and his crew came in and fixed everything. sooner than expected. Eddie is very thoughtful when explaining the problem, he listens, and stays in contact throughout the process. In the end, he delivered and we were very happy with the entire experience.

I didn't quite end up using their services, but I would trust them with my business in the future. Chris came over to give me a free estimate for my issue. Turned out it was an embarrassingly easy thing to fix (like, did you try connecting it the other way? *facepalm* ), so they told me they could do it, but they'd charge me the minimum fee of $215 or so; OR they could tell me how to do it myself for free. Problem solved!

Bayshore Plumbers fixed a major problem in my aging house. My old iron pipes from 1937 were rusted through. Their lead guy, Eddie, found the problem, showed me pictures he took, gave me an estimate, got permits from the town and finished on time and on budget, passing all inspections. Eddie was extremely knowledgable, polite, and helpful! It wasn't fun having a major plumbing problem, but Bayshore Plumbers made it as close to painless as possible.

We looked on Yelp and searched online for a high quality good review plumbing company to help us install a sewer clean out for the house as well as locating our public sewer clean out box. We are so glad that Bayshore Plumbers addressed our needs. Eddie came out gave us a clear explanation on his approach of tackling the problem; locating, excavation and installation.
They did an excellent job. They were Efficient and had necessary equipment and material with them. The job was completed in just a few hours. They certainly met our expectations! Thank you Eddie and your crew.

We have used Bayshore Plumbing twice now and couldn't be happier - the on site plumbers were professional and courteous, scheduling was a breeze, and overall we feel like we got a great deal. 100% recommended for residential plumbing - we used them to install a new clean out, and again to change out a couple shut off valves. Great service, competitive pricing, and I like supporting Veteran Owned businesses - win-win!

Our shower had a drip. Our tenant called these folks for a repair. It turned out it was the valve and it needed to be replaced, approximately a $100 part. I have worked in Bathroom remodeling business for 20 years. I was appalled at the quote for $2500 to fix it. We live out of town and needed it done so even though it was at least a $1000. over a normal charge, I agreed.
I then received a bill for $2900. For a 2 1/2 hour job! My gosh $1000 an hour! Who does that? The drip is fixed. I would NEVER use this company in the future, unless you have stupid money!

You never know what you're gonna get when choose a plumber from Yelp. I did the questionnaire about what the job was and Bayshore was the only company to reply within 5 minutes (on Dec 30) and the only one to offer an appt the next day, New Year's Eve. Ivan was early for the appt and got to work assessing the problem. He came up with a plan and explained to me the hows and whys and got to work.
Shortly after, all my drains/pipes were flowing again and I can once again use my kitchen sink. I'll definitely use this company again and Ivan was great. Highly recommend.

Jose at Bayshore Plumbers is amazing. He has installed a tankless water heater, installed a booster, and fixed a number of internal issues with faucets and knobs needing replacements. When we ran up against problems that were hard to solve (e.g. discontinued parts) Jose stayed on the problem, working it through till it was solved, contacting manufacturers, troubleshooting, getting suppliers to ship him specialty parts, and staying on the job till it was completely resolved. He maintained excellent communication with me throughout, and he is extremely cheerful. I'm deeply impressed by Jose and Bayshore.

I have used Bayshore Plumbers for a number of years and even though they are a bit expensive the did a good job. But the last time I called them they sent someone that did not know what he was doing. He was completely useless but they still charge me a high price with no warning whatsoever. I would not recommend them.

From start to finish (scheduling, alert that the truck was on its way, professionalism, quality of work and invoicing process) was smooth and we got our plumbing issues fixed! They put in a new kitchen faucet, figured out how water was leaking under the sink and did an annual service of our tankless hot water heater. When there was a little glitch in the hot water heater afterwards, they immediately sent a plumber back out to reset it and get it back online. Lastly, I'm very happy that Bayshore Plumbers is a local, veteran-owned business!

Our Moen Shower/Tub inner valve gave up on us a day before we called Bayshore Plumbers and was non operational. On Sunday I used Yelp to get different quotes on this kind of job, I decided to go with Bayshore Plumbers as it was in my city and also I see a lot of their work vans on the road. The next day I was able to have Christian come out, he came ten minutes early, he fought the inner valve as it was rusty, sprayed WD-40 on it to wiggle it out, mind you it's a 30 years old inner valve that was completely stuck.
After fighting it for like a solid fifteen minutes he came back from his work truck to finally get it off, he installed the new filter valve and then adjusted the knob as it wasn't expelling hot water, he simply unscrewed the shower lever and repositioned the filter all the way back to the left and screwed on the shower lever.

I had an issue with my drain being stuck in the closed position. Christian came and replaced it, so I can easily open and close the drain as desired. He was professional, nice to chat with and got the job done very quickly. My only nitpick would be the window for service was over shot by an hour, but I do understand that other emergencies come up, so I won't blame them for that. It just would have been nice if the central office had warned me or something like that. I will be contacting them if anything comes up in the future.

Our water heater starting 'popping' loudly forcing us to shut it down. Bayshore came in the next day and worked quickly to give us options. We ended up going with a replacement, which they delivered and installed promptly. Overall, the technician was very professional and efficient. Thanks, Bayshore!

Complete crooks! We had the EXACT same experience as many others. They charged a whopping fee to give a sewer line replacement estimate while the other 4 companies we contacted charged $0 for an estimate! They then bid $22K for the sewer line replacement and then on top of it $5,000 if we want it done on permit and if we want a warranty for the work!
The other 4 vendors we contacted not only did not charge a fee for the estimate, but INCLUDE the permit fee and warranty in their price and were $20,000 LESS! Like, what?! How on god's green earth do you charge $20,000 MORE than some of your competitors?! The 4 other bids were all under $10K to do the job they bid $27K to do. I am shocked they are able to stay in business. be careful who you trust!

Jose from Bayshore Plumbers is the nicest, neatest, most professional pisumbers is the nicest, neatest, most professional phlumber to work with! I've used Bayshore twice now and I am not disappointed at all. Our first encounter was replacing a water heater a few months ago, this time it was a bigger job, our main sewer line. They attacked the issue with the same ease as putting in the water heater! I truly recommend this company 100%! I would not ever consider anyone else!

I wrote a prior review - focusing on the terrible plumber Lalo who came out and provided truly substandard service and major attitude that justified my 1-star rating. After my complaint, Marin the dispatcher called and left me a message that if I didn't pay the bill yet, he wouldn't charge me. I called back and he confirmed this though I'd already paid.
He said he'd take care of refunding me the charge as he thought waiting 3+ hours for a plumber to return, and holding up other contractors during that time to be unprofessional and not the way they run business. I honor that view. Thank you for contacting me back, and at least the job got done. I love the responsiveness of Bayshore Plumbers (except when they're out and the alls roll to an answering service)!

Since I can't respond to Bayshore's comment on my review I want clarify a couple of points to my complaint: I was aware that there would be a diagnostic charge, but was never sent a bill for it until there was a call to collect after the repair and I paid the invoice for the repair. The plumber clearly told me face to face and on the phone after he checked the cost of the part that the additional cost would be $145 for the labor plus the cost of the part.
When I received the invoice for the repair the only line item outside the cost of the part was $425 for the repair, which I assumed was the cost of diagnostic of $290 + 145, which is roughly equivalent (and again I had not received a separate invoice for the diagnostic). What particularly angers me is that the plumber that did the work called me after I had disputed the cost and told me unkindly that he had told me all along that the job would cost $900, which is patently false and then immediately said the additional bill for $290 would be sent to a collection agency.
From the other reviews it seems that Bayshore is generally an ethical company, but I can not bear instances when people act unethically. Moreover, when I first got the call from your office about the unpaid bill and explained what happened/disputed the cost. I was immediately dismissed. I've worked with many vendors through my life and my mistake was not getting a written estimate.
Actually I had expected one, but I made the mistake of taking the plumber at face value when he confirmed the cost over the phone after checking the price of the part. In terms of billing, all the vendors I've worked with have put everything on one invoice -- the cost of diagnostic, repair and part. It makes sense for two invoices if there is a gap between the diagnostic and repair, but in this case I had told him I wanted to proceed after he did the diagnostic. As you can tell from the time I've spent on this that's it is not about the money, but the principle of this. I don't like being lied to.
